1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 03, 2023, 09:54:52 AM
I'd rather not take unnecessary risks. If a casino doesn't allow the use of VPN, I would rather not use VPN. But there are casinos that allow the use of VPNs. However, it probably doesn't mean that they allow players from restricted countries who are using VPN to play on their platforms. The restriction stays.

If I am playing from a country that is not blacklisted, travelled to a blacklisted country and use VPN to hide my current location to continue playing while away from home, I am violating the platform's ToS, even if the platform allows the use of it. So why should I do it? I'm risking my account and my money.

Well, this is the kind of responses that I can agree with. The ToS contain a list of restricted countries, so even if VPNs are allowed... gambling from a restricted country are not allowed.

The other thing is this, even if the casino allow VPN use, you still have to look at the ToS of the game providers. They can deny big wins if you break any of their rules too.  Wink

Once again, you are making the wrong assumptions. Mayor Sports events are available for EVERYONE that bet on sports. You conveniently ignore the "Level 2 verified Stake account required" ...which will automatically make all bets from Australians not eligible for this.  Roll Eyes

You are making a fool of yourself by posting things like this. I am not from a restricted country and I am surely going to bet on this. You on the other hand, will have to scratch the butthurt part of your anatomy.  Grin Grin Grin

1303  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 02, 2023, 01:18:47 PM
You need to study Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to understand the motivations for human behavior. Money are at the bottom of that model and at the top you will get self-actualization. Once you achieved the lower level of needs (money gives you food and water and security) .. then you strive to achieve the higher levels of needs.

The oil tycoon achieved the lower levels of his needs and to get power as a politician, was simply the next step in the evolution of humans. (Money and Power goes hand in hand)  Tongue
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 02, 2023, 12:41:27 PM
Well, that would have been a golden opportunity to help those people by contributing BTC something BTC to the parents.  Wink

I have given some Bitcoin to some of the children in my family before, but they sold it for Fiat currencies and they bought some cheap Chinese plastic toys with it.  Roll Eyes

It is nice that some parents are passing the flame to their children, because they are the future of Bitcoin.  Tongue
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 02, 2023, 12:32:20 PM
Well, I posted this based on a some people trying to use excuses to get out of account bans for using VPNs... knowing that it was illegal in their country and also knowing that it was against the ToS of the site.

Based on the replies to this thread, most people will not risk losing their account balance or their whole account for breaking the rules that are stated in the ToS.

~~ snip snip

All those enjoying and accessing stake.com from licensed jurisdictions, please continue to do so.

It's crazy the lengths people will go to convince themselves that they are a victim after gambling more than they can afford and losing.

You knew Australians weren't allowed, so you used a VPN.  You weren't cheated and if you won, you would've been paid.  Even if your legal argument were valid (it's not) you're still acting like quite the scumbag trying to convince people you're a victim while attempting to freeroll Stake..  I hope you waste many more hours before realizing nothing will come from this.

One time, I learn.

Simple things, never gift the attention. We always see someone are spamming like that, to get someone attention however he will be tired by them self once no one response. Is worked many time.

The more people are responding, the more he will response. Just ignore, or if he do multiple post at the same time feel free just report the post for "multi-post" at same time.

I didn't realize 14 posts on a thread was ''spamming''.

Try 59 posts.

Looking at all your comments on posts it seems your addicted to calling people scammers.

Also looks like your close with stunna.

It's okay, you're entitled to your opinion. So am i. Don't let that legendary status get to your head.

You don't know all the facts with my case. Only I do. You can draw whatever conclusions you wish to. I gave them my IP address which was an Australian IP address and they allowed me to continue betting. I can prove all of this which I will in court. The court room is not this platform. I'm only here to discuss and warn others to not make the same mistake in thinking its legal to bet on their platform from Australia or other unlicensed jurisdictions.

You think I am just a disgruntled punter who lost money and is pissed. Again, i am sure you see a lot of this on here. This is to do with me having to account where these funds have gone to the Australian Government. I thought it was legal to use stake from Australia using a VPN after watching Eddies streams. You can put it any which way you like. That is the facts, that only I know is true. What you think it entirely up to you.

I have also been a member on here since May 10, i have only 19 active posts. I deleted many after i got used of the rules and using this platform correctly. You should be encouraging new users not just calling everyone a scammer as you don't agree with them. But hey, you're the legend.

You are doing the exact same thing with the spamming of this thread on this forum, than what you are doing with the spamming of the chat on Kick. You are trying to bait Stake.com employees or Eddie to say something discriminate to use in your court case. The thing is.. none of the employees or even Eddie reacts to any of the discussions on this forum, so you failed in that attempt.

It is only players like myself that spend a lot of our time on Stake.com that are debating your situation. We are actually wasting our time, because you are not listening to anything we are saying. (You broke the Australian law by gambling on Stake.com ... period)

I actually think some of you go to bed at night with a picture of Eddie and a sock.

I think we are dealing with a child here.... his or her reactions are that of a child. It is either that or it is someone with some mental problems. I think he or she has to drop the fantasy court case and save their spending money so that they can pay for some medical intervention.

Seriously mate.... I can now see why you made the stupid decision to play at a casino, when you are from a restricted country. Stop messing with the Roos and get some stronger medicine for your problems. Time to get the socks to the washing machine ..... thanks Eddie!

Gold and Silver will always be a safe bet, so you have to hold some physical Gold and Silver in your financial portfolio as a safe haven. I believe that we will see a escalation in the military situation between North Korea and the West, because they are poking at the beast... and I do not know how long that will be tolerated. (One misguided long-range missile will start a global war)

China are also itching to enter into military action, because they have been preparing for that for years now. I doubt if a hoarding of Bitcoin or any other Crypto currency will be the safest investment in a time of war.  Roll Eyes
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 03:45:26 PM
I know this is a bit controversial, but some casinos are looking the other way... when people are using VPNs. I know it might be legal in some instances, but you are still taking a risk by using it.

Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.

Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?
1309  Economy / Gambling / Re: THNDR Play Games to Earn Bitcoin on: June 01, 2023, 03:36:43 PM
I think it was very clever to add the raffle system for the player rewards, because that makes it legal for people from restricted countries to access the Apps and to play the games. It is a lot like what Stake.com did with their sweepstakes system in the US version of their site.  Grin

I am just glad it is not like those "faucet" type sites that we had back in the day, because those sites were crap. Users spend hours to receive only a small amount of Satoshi .... and it is actually a waste of time.  Roll Eyes

I want to thank everyone who has PM'd me with information. I am encouraging all those with similar experiences from within Australia, please contact me.
I have also put on ignore a few people who are just after a reaction from me on this thread. Do not misinterpret what i have said on this thread. I am not saying don't bet with stake.com. I am saying be weary that you are not being misguided to use stake.com from an unlicensed jurisdiction as you may then encounter the problems i am having.

Although I am of the opinion stake.com has misguided myself and others to access stake.com illegally, I see no reason NOT to use stake.com if you are from a licensed jurisdiction. Those watching Eddies stream from Australia please be aware he shouldn't be streaming from Australia due to stake.com not being licensed in Australia and if you also believe you have been misguided and want to know your options in retrieving these funds in which stake.com shouldn't be profiting from, please PM me directly.

The more people that contact me from within Australia the better as it mounts the case that as a result of stake.com and Eddie streaming from Australia it has misguided Australians that stake.com is legal to use from Australia, which it certainly did to me. Regardless of their terms and conditions. The more of you which contact me will mount increasingly strong claims to that fact and i will even pay for legal costs associated with the legal process. (This can all be discussed) Please note this is only those people who have accessed stake.com from Australia, which you must be able to prove to me.

All those enjoying and accessing stake.com from licensed jurisdictions, please continue to do so.

1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support bitcoin as Global reserve currency? on: June 01, 2023, 03:12:29 PM
Well, it will be nice to use a single currency for every country that you visit..and not having to make complex calculations to determine the price of a service or goods, when you want to buy or pay for something.

It will also be nice to use a currency that are not manipulated and favoring only a few 1st world countries. Bitcoin will put everyone on a level playing field and make things so much easier on everyone.  Grin
1312  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project: Preturnio - a full text search engine for Bitcoin on: May 31, 2023, 06:06:53 AM
The site is awesome and the interface are very clean and fast... it immediately made me think about a site like Preev.com (fast & efficient and no unnecessary bells n whistles)

I am just curious, why did you choose the name "preturnio" for your domain? How will people relate to a text "search engine" with a name like that?

In any way, I bookmarked this site and will surely spread this URL to all of my friends. Thank you for the effort, hope to see a lot more from you in the future.  Wink
1313  Economy / Economics / Re: UAE is the biggest gold buyer of Russia during this war on: May 31, 2023, 05:44:47 AM
Why do you think that the largest percentage of inmates in prisons are "poor" people? Answer : Rich people can afford good lawyers.

The western 1st world countries are too reliant on the United Arab Emirates oil reserves, so they will politely look the other way, because they know that the United Arab Emirates can hurt their economy, if the same actions are implemented against the United Arab Emirates, if they sabotaged the sanctions.

The United Arab Emirates know that they are controlling the world's oil supply, so they can do what they want.  Roll Eyes
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 31, 2023, 05:35:58 AM
I personally think all these gambling strategies are a bunch of crap. I have yet to find one strategy that are 100% foolproof. I have trawled the Internet for years to find a strategy that will work 100% of the time and they all fail eventually.  Roll Eyes

There are too many "random" things happening with gambling... like your RNG and your client/server seed ....and all of these things are used to determine the outcome of each individual bet.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is digital currency powerful? on: May 31, 2023, 05:26:32 AM
Well, this does not apply to all digital currencies....

Some digital currencies are "centralized" and it can be controlled by governments. Even some tokens have some well known developers that can be targeted by governments.

This is what is so unique about Bitcoin, because the original developer cannot be traced... so he/she or they cannot be targeted by governments. It is also decentralized, so it is not easy to shut it down....

All other centralized digital currencies can be forced to close down, because you have a central point of failure.

I think we all-know.

All of the allegation using "Scam, Court" is just for pushing casino to sometime give the user who got the problem are getting good things for their side. We are still waiting to court stuff is coming.

I mean, If he say that already bring stake to court. Why talking to much in here, why not just wait until the court letter coming and we have trials ~XD.

The thing is, this user will not stop spamming this thread with his nonsense and nobody from Stake are saying anything about this. This is surely bad publicity for them, if someone are spreading misinformation like this.  Roll Eyes

I am also stating the facts that you should abide by the ToS and not try to use some loophole to recover your losses. It only takes one successful court case to open up a group action for claims against Stake for things like this. (Something that could bankrupt the sites and then forcing them to close their doors..... influencing all of us that are gambling there legally)  Angry
1317  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: May 30, 2023, 11:12:10 AM
This is the interactive gambling act legislation in Australia where i am from:

•      This Act imposes the following prohibitions:

       (a)     a prohibited interactive gambling service must not be provided to customers in Australia;

      (b)     unlicensed regulated interactive gambling services must not be provided to customers in Australia;

       (c)     an Australian‑based prohibited interactive gambling service must not be provided to customers in designated countries;

      (d)     prohibited interactive gambling services must not be advertised;

       (e)     unlicensed regulated interactive gambling services must not be advertised.

•      The ACMA may, on its own initiative, or in response to a complaint, investigate whether a person has contravened a provision of this Act that imposes any of those prohibitions.

•      A body or association that represents internet service providers may develop an industry code.

•      The ACMA has a reserve power to make an industry standard if there is no industry code or if an industry code is deficient.

•      The ACMA must notify prohibited internet gambling content to internet service providers so that the providers can deal with the content in accordance with procedures specified in an industry code or industry standard.

Now, Eddie streams from Australia... That's advertising directly or indirectly. It does not matter. As he is not allowed to use Stake from Australia, promoting it in any way. Not to mention the simple fact that interactive gambling services must not be provided to customers in designated countries.... VPN usage or not it does not matter in a court room as long as i can provide proof the funds have come from Australia and there was no mandatory verification process to prove otherwise, which there wasn't.

Become familiar with the laws in Australia before doubting my argument and case, as well as the structure in which stake operates its business from within Australia.

And i know my best mates on this thread are going to give back some negative feedback. But they are not looking at this from a legal stand point. Terms and conditions are irrelevant if a company is breaking legislation themselves.

Anyone else from Australia who has accessed stake please get in contact with me via PM.

Stake has in no way directly or indirectly "advertised" any service to any Australian citizen. You joined the site on your own, accepting the ToS that was in place.. that specifically mentioned that Australia was on the restricted list.

So by joining and knowing that Australia was on the restricted list, you broke the Australian laws that prohibits you from gambling on any online site that was not "approved" or "licensed" by the Australian government.

Now, you want to go to court and justify your actions by exploiting some loophole that will not stand up in court. Eddie is the co-owner of an offshore business that are regulated by another government.

You might end up by going to court and paying some hefty fines for breaking the law, if you fail. I think that is the real gamble that you need to face.  Wink
1318  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: May 30, 2023, 05:48:38 AM
I call this the "Mouse in the wheel" look on life. Yes, it is true... most people run in that wheel and it looks like they are not going anywhere, but that has it's benefits.

The mouse gets exercise and that is keeping it fit and healthy. Now, to explain that in real life.... your 9to5 work keeps you busy and it is funding your expenses. It is paying for your health benefits and it is also good social interaction with other people around you.... that is keeping you mentally fit for life.

As you mentioned in your post... some times you step off that wheel and you go on holiday or you have a fun weekend .... or the little girl takes you out of your cage and she plays with you in her room.  Wink

My advice.... get a hobby or do some community service to spice up your life after working hours.... or get another job, where you can work more flexible hours. (If you love your work.. you do not work a day in your life)  Cheesy
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 30, 2023, 05:37:06 AM
I think the first thing you have to understand is this, gambling is not something that are profitable. Well, that is true for the largest part of all gamblers... but some extremely lucky few ...will win something good and walk away with a profit.

The whole gambling scene are developed to "keep" you gambling and to get you not to withdraw. Take slots as an example... you will lose most of the time, but in between your play, you get small wins ..that give you hope and gets you to play longer. Eventually you will lose everything, the longer you play. (The graph will go down gradually, with some small spikes as you go down to zero)  Tongue
1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: May 30, 2023, 05:29:32 AM
I think a lot of these Web3 casinos are created for money laundering purposes and decentralization are used to make it difficult for the law enforcement agencies to shut them down.

This is the current perception of people towards the Web3 casinos at the moment, because people seem to think that they are mostly scam sites. It is basically the same with all "new" technologies... and a stage that will pass over time. (Bitcoin went through the same thing, until people realized that it is used more for legit projects)
