1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $30k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: July 23, 2021, 07:13:53 PM
It was really obvious that Bitcoin price was going to go down below $30k and get stuck there for some time. We were witnessing a gradual decrease before that. I don't know the reason but the price got a really good momentum and climbed over $32k very quickly. Maybe it was related to the Musk - Dorsey meeting or it was something else, it's difficult to say.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC exist without Fiat? on: July 23, 2021, 07:08:23 PM
I think that Bitcoin can exist without fiat. Besides, fiat is going to be gone when governments develop their own digital currencies. Then there will be no fiat but cryptocurrencies will still continue to exist. In that situation, cryptocurrencies can be used in various places as the adoption will reach a much higher level than now. Otherwise, we will still need to convert it to the digital currencies that are developed governments.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey agree to talk about bitcoin at an event in July on: July 23, 2021, 06:56:49 PM
They talked and there were some interesting results at the end. Elon Musk said that he would start accepting payment with Bitcoin at Tesla again if more than 50% of Bitcoin mining is being made by renewable energies. And he talked about his and his company's investments into crypto also. He said that SpaceX owns Bitcoin also. But it doesn't look like this meeting affected Bitcoin price much.

Real Madrid do not have the financial capacity to bring in players like Mbappe and Haaland. Lewandowski is a good choice at the moment. But he will not be able to maintain his good performance for too long. On the other hand, Real Madrid's main striker Benzema is 33 years old. He has done well this season, but it doesn't look like he will be able to play next season without injury.

Lewandowski is a good choice but I wonder whether he would choose to go to Real Madrid rather than Chelsea. Because Chelsea are the last champions in the Champions League. This may be really affective on his decision. We are talking about this but we don't even know whether he thinks of leaving this summer.  Grin
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 23, 2021, 06:41:08 PM
In this season, Manchester City are highly the favourite team for the title of course. But this time, I expect a bigger competition between them and the big clubs like Manchester Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool. This time, it may not be that easy for City to reach the title. They actually had some difficulties at the beginning of the last season. But they made an insane comeback and won the title comfortably.
Manchester City may win the EPL trophy this season. Although, is won't be easy because other big club are building their squads with young talented player. And also Manchester City have to sign Harry Kane to replace Sergio Aguero. They really tried last season, despite their difficulties they faced as the beginning of the season, they bounce back, with massive force and won the EPL trophy. I expect them to do more better this season.
Why are you guys saying Manchester City to be the favorites?? Do you have information that makes them the team?
Chelsea a team that beat them twice and denied them their first UEFA trophy could be on that list, Leicester City have made some reinforcements which should put them in a position to contest not forgetting Manu and Liverpool.
Honestly the best time to get an idea of who is likely to win is in December around boxing day, not when the league isn't even started .

I said this because I saw them playing superbly in the last season. I know that Chelsea defeated them multiples times in the last season. But it was not enough for winning the league title in the end. The EPL is a really hard league and it's not easy to be really consistent. But Manchester City succeeded in being really consistent and had an incredible unbeaten streak.

Maybe I'll be surprised and they won't be able to make it to the title this time. I'd really like to see a different team becoming the champions.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: July 23, 2021, 06:32:17 PM
One of the things that I'm curious about in this season is how Luis Suarez will play. Despite he is 34, he had a great season and scored 21 goals in the La Liga. He did his job really well and contributed to the title at a high rate. I wonder if he will maintain his form in this season too. It looks like Suarez is really happy at Atletico and he is ready to do whatever the team need.
Suarez is an extraordinary player but to win La Liga again ATM has to win every single game. Last year Real Madrid and Barcelona lost many points easily vs weaker teams, I doubt this will be the case the next year especially for Barca, not sure about Madrid honestly.
I see some members saying Koeman isn't convincing. True partially, but no one can deny the improvement of Barcelona under his management, the team were almost near the relegation zone in the first games then after the change they were in the top places. I don't like Barca much but I voted for it this time to be the champion this season.

I expect Barcelona to be much more competitive this time. They have Aguero and Depay too now. And if they sign Messi again, they will have a great lineup for sure. This time they should play much better and put up a huge fight for the league title. And actually, my favorite team for the title in this season are Barcelona.

Marca says that Kylian Mbappe has rejected PSG's last contract offer. He really wants to go to Real Madrid now. And Real Madrid also want to finish this deal without having a problem. On the other hand, PSG don't want to lose him. He has only one year left on his contract. I wonder how this will end.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 23, 2021, 06:16:26 PM
I think that the most surprising team of the last season were Atalanta. Honestly, I didn't expect this good performance from them at the beginning of the season. Despite not having one of the best squads, their game plan helped them a great deal to end in top 3. And I'd like to add that they were the most scorer team of the season (90 goals). Maybe they won't have a similar season in the near future again but it was really great to watch them playing great.

Lewandowski hasn't said anything about the rumours about him going to Chelsea. But I think that it means he doesn't want to leave Bayern. If he had a decrease in his performance, then he would think of leaving and trying new adventures. AFAIK, he achieved everything he can with Bayern so far. He can still look for new adventures. But it looks like it's not time.
I believe Lewandowski's silence over a move is due to the fact that he is open to a move away from Bayern.Every one knows that English premier league is a very competitive league, and therefore, every player wants to test playing there. He might be open to move to Chelsea I guess.

let's be honest - R. Lewandowski has already won every title there is to win at national and international level with bayern munich. what's more, last season he even equaled Gerd Müller's 40-year-old record for goals scored in the bundesliga, beating it by one more goal.
it's time to assert himself in another top league, and i only see england or spain (every internationally big player wants to become a regular player at real madrid at some point) as the only options.

the transfer period is rollin... Cool

Real Madrid would also make use of him really well. They have only Benzema and they'd be willing to sign a top striker like Lewandowski. He is much more cheaper than Haaland and Mbappe now. But I don't know. We still have no idea whether he's thinking a move to another club this summer.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 22, 2021, 06:51:40 PM
What a great job have Milwaukee Bucks done! Congratulations to them!

Honestly, I was expecting Suns to win the 6th game and bring the score of the series to 3-3. It'd be incredibly exciting to watch the final game. But Bucks didn't leave their job to chance and finished it in the 6th game. I don't know what I should say about Giannis. He's just not from our world.  Cheesy  What a great performance! Scoring 50 PTS in a game like this is not an easy thing to do for any player. He literally carried his team to the title.

Benzema extended his contract until 2023 according to Marca.

Real Madrid did a good job by extending his contract. He is 33 but still playing awesome. He scored 30 goals and made 9 assists in the last season. This is really good statistics despite his age. Real Madrid competed for the La Liga title thanks to him.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 21, 2021, 08:43:55 PM
The new season is getting really close. We are only 3 weeks away from the first week of the league. I think that the biggest candidate for the title is Manchester City again. I don't know if they will manage to end Kane transfer successfully. But even without him, they can destroy their opponents and reach the title. But it's going to be really long and tough journey as their biggest opponents are also gaining more power.
Coming into a new season, many of the big teams would have probably signed new players into their team making them stronger than they were the previous season and difficult to predict a winner; I know City have been brilliant in the last couple of seasons and have won a good number of titles along the way, this somewhat makes them favorites for this season title, but the other big teams wouldn't just be pushed aside, Liverpool, United and Chelsea are all Contenders for the title, we will see which team sets the pace and in the most form from the beginning of the season to mid-season, it's more often than not the team that goes home with the title.

I really missed Liverpool's last championship season. The players were playing absolutely great. There was a strong chemistry and a great teamplay. Now, they don't go for really good players. I'd really like to see Liverpool signing a striker who will make a Suarez impact or even better. The best candidate for it is of course Haaland. But we still haven't got any news about this possible transfer.

As the new season is getting close, I wonder what kind of a start we will see. Atletico Madrid had a great season and won the title in the last season. But in this season, things may become quite different. I expect a higher competition from Barcelona and Real Madrid this time. I guess that Atletico won't succeed in winning the title 2 times in a row. This time, I expect a big competition between Barcelona and Real Madrid for the title.

I think this will be a battle between Atl Madrid and Barcelona and maybe even Sevilla this season. Real Madrid is really week this season and i dont think they can compete for the current title. They need to get a few more good players if they want to win the title

Maybe it will be like that. But we don't even know whether Barcelona will be able to sign Messi again. They are still in a bad financial condition and they have to sell some players to increase their budget. Then, they can finish this. Messi doesn't seem like he's in a rush. If we see a Barcelona without Messi this season, I don't give much chance for Barcelona when it comes to the title then.

Beside teams like Juventus, Inter and Roma, I wonder what Milan will do in this season. They haven't made a really big transfer. I'd expect them to sign a young and talented striker this time. But they signed only Giroud. I know that Ibrahimovic is still great and contributing to the team incredibly well. But he is 39. He can retire at any moment. They should prepare a plan B considering this. And this time, I don't think that they will have a better season in the Serie A. But I know that it's still to early to talk about. So, I'll just wait for some time.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2021, 08:18:26 PM
People talk about the probability of a Lewandowski transfer to Chelsea. But I don't think that it is very probable. Because Lewandowski is already very happy and successful at Bayern. He broke even a new goal record in the Bundesliga in the last season. While he is this much comfortable, why wouldn't he want to leave in the end? Chelsea shouldn't keep their hopes up about him and they should make a greater effort to sign Haaland this summer.
There is one last reason he'll prolly leave for, and that's to have a new experience in a different team and league, it happens to many players, especially when they are successful and have won everything in their present club, they thus want to try our something new, a different experiment to see how good they'll fair there.

Having said that, I think Chelsea should not really be going after Lewandowski, he is 33, and in his very last years at the top of his game, if they can get him cheaper, then that's fine and good, but as it stands, it's apparent Bayern wouldn't sell for anything less than 50 million pounds, and that's even if they are willing to sell.

I also think that they shouldn't make an effort to sign Lewandowski for this reason. He is getting really old for a CF day by day. I know that he was really awesome in the last season also but he can't keep up this great work all the time. After a point, his performance will decrease highly and he will be really far from his good times. It's the best for Chelsea to look for young and talented strikers like Haaland.

The British GP was really an interesting one. I was expecting a wheel-to-wheel competition between Verstappen and Hamilton even from the start. But the incident was not that I expected. It scared me a great deal. I'm glad that Verstappen is okay now. He seems really angry at Hamilton and I saw that Verstappen unfollowed Hamilton on Instagram. Hamilton still follows him but he said that he didn't need to apologize to Max for the incident. It looks like the competition for the title will be even bigger now.
