1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New interview with Amir Khan on: April 07, 2017, 11:22:53 PM
The Name is Amir Taaki not Amir Khan, Amir Khan is  an indian celebrity.
Though it is a great interview, I dont know Amir Taaki but hearing him to be a bitcoin developer in the past is really a fact that I don't know much names.

Lol that's funny because im into boxing and I called him Amir Khan which is a boxer. Well anyway, Amir Taaki is a legend in the bitcoin community, he needs to be more active and develop more censorship resistance technologies specially to solve the PoW issue.

Amir joins the show to talk his experience fighting ISIS with Rojava in Syria. Amir shares his philosophical reasons behind joining Rojava and how they intersect with anarchism. Amir also shares his thoughts on the current state of Bitcoin and the plan for finishing Dark Wallet.

Good remarks on the powergrab attempts like BUcoin at around 50 minutes in, like that time when they wanted a benevolent dictator (Gavin and Mike) and putting blacklists and so on with XT, then the rest of the crap that came with it.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: April 07, 2017, 02:26:16 PM
Dogecoin's greatest feature is its big community, it's got one of the biggest subreddits, always active. Of course, tech wise is just another altcoin, but community goes a long way. I can see it getting its good pump from time to time.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: bitcoin dice casinos. Is it profitable to have such casino? on: April 07, 2017, 01:27:52 PM
Casino owners will continue making a killing from all the fees. But getting transaction volume in the exchanges is a very difficult task, the competition is pretty high already, but still plenty of time to attack this niche.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SMART Coin Observer on: April 07, 2017, 12:14:19 PM

Buggy Unlimited is dead no matter how much hashrate jumps on it. There will always be people mining the original chain using Bitcoin Core because a coin backed by centralized chinese rigged ASICs and buggy software is not a stable coin.

Anyway I doubt we wil see a HF, i think the HF fears have been cleared now that the ASIC scam got revealed.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless Alt-Coins that will be dead in 6 months to 1 year on: April 06, 2017, 11:29:53 PM
Too many shitcoins out there to keep track of them, you have to be mad to be able to tell, there are thousands if not tens of thousands of cryptos out there, most of them will be forgotten in 6 months.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: April 06, 2017, 05:29:52 PM
Litecoin holding nicely above 0.01! What will be next? Slow rise before breakout? Slow rise before we go lower again?

Buy now or wait for dip?

I want to buy more but im not sure if it will go lower.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: bitcoin dice casinos. Is it profitable to have such casino? on: April 06, 2017, 05:02:23 PM
I think it's great that some people still want to invest in casinos in the bitcoin space. I think the bitcoin casino is still a green field and we are far from it being cornered, still big possibilities to do a good job if you offer an edge against the competition.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson Info and Prediction Thread on: April 06, 2017, 03:31:00 PM
Yep AJ has improved and I expect a good performance but I still think that DC is going to be the best one and win. I think DC vs John Bon Jones 2 is the great heavyweight match that it's missing. I don't think AJ is at the level of being competitive against Bones Jones.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Jihan Wu's patent: The resume on: April 06, 2017, 12:34:25 PM
So, Blockstream is holding back bitcoin scaling so they can profit from their centralized product?

• Nope, that was Bitmain

So, SegWit is just overly complex code to sneak in discounts for Blockstream's "products"?

• Nope... that was Bitmain realizing SegWit negated their already profitable discount and ruined their product.

So Blockstream wants the bitcoin market to be centralized through a few central companies and hubs?

• Nope, that was Bitmain that wanted to maintain centralization of mining hardware and hashing power through their company and hubs.

So, Blockstream is centralized development and wants everyone to run the code that makes their company valuable?

• Nope, it is Bitmain that supports any competing client, regardless of the effect on Bitcoin, in order to maintain the code that is specifically profitable for them and them alone.

Yup the big one in las vegas is really fun with friends, dont do it too often tho or you will go broke, but its cool to do sometimes in rare celebrations like new years eve and whatnot, can't do wrong some real life gambling fun from time to time, fuck the haters!!
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson Info and Prediction Thread on: April 05, 2017, 02:59:17 PM
There are a lot of unanswered questions revolving around the main event.
Can Anthony Johnson last 5 rounds?
Can he stop Daniel Cormier's takedowns the way Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson did?
Cormier didn't look good when he fought Anderson Silva & hasn't defended his belt since 2015.
There are questions about where Cormier is as well.
Antony Johnson does not need five rounds to win the match, but he will be carefull this time around and i am sure he wont spend all his energy in the first round trying to knock him down and remember that Johnson is a wrestler and this time he has trained especially for Cormier and i am sure it wont be the same this time around and with Cormier injured most of the time and has not fought in a long time and age is not helping him either,it is really hard to predict the condition they are in .

Anthony Johnson is a dead man walking as soon as he makes a mistake and gets taken down by Daniel Cormier. If things go as they should, I think DC is going to be able to dodge AJ's striking for the first couple of rounds. I think it's going to be a bit boring just like the Jon Jones fight. DC fights very slow against good strikers, he will be cautious, wait for the mistake and go to the ground then it's game over.

You just described the 1st fight between them. AJ, if he is smart must learn from his mistakes. He must not allow himself to be fully controlled on the ground. There are 2 things he can do. Avoid being taken down or improve is ground game.

I hope he learnt from the 1st first fight and adjust. Otherwise, if will be just a replay of the first fight. If Rumble can't KO Cormier in the first or second round, he is toast. His chances of winning will diminish as the round goes by. That will be his strategy go for the KO because we all know that if he gets tired, all is lost and game over.

You already know the kind of adjustment he needs to do. You said If Rumble can't KO Cormier in the first or second round, he is toast. His chances of winning will diminish as the round goes by.

What AJ needs to do is not to be toast and be calm if he cannot KO Daniel. He also wants to keep his distance versus someone like Daniel.

Problem is if AJ doesn't KO Daniel fast, DC will read his moves and he will be able to get a takeoff down the lane at around 3-4 round. Maybe in 5th round when both are tired AJ can attempt some crazy unexpected KO and hope DC makes a mistake.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to remeber the name of an altcoin on: April 05, 2017, 12:51:24 PM
A cryptocurrency can't never be stable unless it doesn't have a free market and is somewhat controlled or just mimicks a fiat currency like nuBits and USDT. USDT should be safer than nuBits which I think collapsed.

Bitbay is looking forward to make the price fixed I think.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: April 04, 2017, 06:21:24 PM
Some people making tons of money selling the bots, its the same market as selling the website exploits and zeroday hacks, it's all done by coders, they are doing all the money, i still dont believe bots can give you sustained gains without controlling them manually so you might as well trade manually.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Monero Madness on: April 04, 2017, 05:25:34 PM
I dumped all my alts for LTC. For some reason the hashrate for segwit is about to go over 70%.... we are going to see a lot of price action, the segwit activation is far from price in, dont wanna miss that.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Litecoin] only 10% more till activation of SegWit. on: April 04, 2017, 02:09:38 PM

according to http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php we are currently at 64.93% and in order for SegWit to activate on Litecoin it only needs 75% which is about 10% more.
then it needs to keep the percentage up for a whole period and then the activation starts.

I really hope it starts within next activation period and we see SegWit soon.

also i am expecting to see the result of this on price too.

Edit: this is because Batpool (citation needed) has joined the game. and now we are at 65.10%

this is interestin..
can i ask you 2 things:
1) if exist, it's possible to get the link to bitocin segwit threshold??
2) if exist, it's possible to get the link to bitocin/litecoin bitcoinUnlimited threshold??

thank you

You can follow segwit activation here:

http://segwit.co/

It has litecoin and bitcoin adoption

About bitcoin unlimited, coin.dance website, but I think it's not accurate because they are pro-bu
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: April 03, 2017, 05:13:12 PM
I think some people somehow find profits in the bot world, sometimes some people use bots in the altcoin trading markets and also on the bitcoin market and somehow they are going to get good profits even tho statistically it does not make sense that money can be made automatically, i think some input for the bots may be manually needed to be added to get actual gains, i don't believe fire and forget bots that generate profit exist.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 03, 2017, 03:03:09 PM
Hi guys!
It's often discussed here that you can't make any money from gambling, but in general it's just not true. House edge is usually quite low so the most of the money go back to players. Of course some one wins more than he bet, some one wins less and loses in the end. It's all about luck. I am sure that the most of you was lucky at least once and made some nice money. So my question goes here: How did you spend this money? Did you buy some presents for your close ones? Did you buy something for you? Did you invested it, saved it or even put back into gambling (and then made even more or lost it?)?
Share your stories Smiley)
Cheers,
OshiHugo

The best thing I ever did with my gambling wins was buying LTC the other day. Im now up 50%+ and im confident that the uptrend will continue. People will keep paying attention to LTC everyday now that segwit activation is possible.
If I make any more unexpected gambling gains those are going to LTC for sure.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson Info and Prediction Thread on: April 03, 2017, 11:22:53 AM
It's obvious that Johnson is the better striker but Cormier will ground and pound him into oblivion. An interesting match and we are going to find out who wins this saturday, if im not sleepy I will watch it live.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: April 02, 2017, 05:58:37 PM
Looks like it gained another 500 million in market cap in a few hours?

How is it possible it was just worth 200 million a week ago, and now it is at 2 billion?

Ripple is already at 6750 satoshi, +%224... I looked at the % just 15 minutes ago and it as around %120. The crash on this one will be brutal. I don't see any reason why this is pumping, other than pump and dumping whales + people wanting to get rich quick.
