A tactical mistake from the Lankans by taking Shubham's wicket lol

He was playing ODI and was hurting India's cause so advantage India when the next 3 batters are in okay form with 145 SR.

Surya is just doing his thing.

I haven't seen the Indian batting so aggressively throughout the T20 game, recently. Whatever they score now, Srilanka's win is just out of question.

Suryakumar Yadav makes his 3rd T20 hundred and this one comes in only 45 balls. This is pure class from this man. Sometimes Indian team plays as a unit and today is one such day.

It just blows my mind how amazing Surya Kumar Yadav is! It took him just 45 balls to reach his third T20I century. On the other hand, if you look at his game, you can see he makes intelligent shots! Despite hitting plenty of sixes, he hits them less riskily than someone else.

There will be a massive total posted by India against Sri Lanka in the series decider. In view of your prediction, Sri Lanka have zero chance of getting the total, but I can't miss the taste of T20 chase from Sri Lanka's batters.
Suryakumar Yadav have a power packed performance that have took the score to 228 runs. If not, the score might've reached a maximum of around 180 runs. He took stand and started scoring when there is continued fall of wickets. Really big target for Sri Lanka.

We don't know what could happen, because Sri Lanka have started good reaching 31 runs in 3 overs without losing wickets.

15 runs to win and 3 overs in the bank.

But who cares for results? Umpires bring the light rule and politely say that's enough for today and handshakes!

4.5 days of boring cricket and when things got interesting, here came another freaking draw. 1-0 or 0-1 to either team looks much better than 0-0.
The light rule stopped the match and the series end without result. Somehow it is a lucky day for both the teams. The match that was in the hands of Pakistan missed when they lost the wicket of Salman. He went for the wrong shot at the unwanted time. If not the match could've ended earlier.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years? on: January 05, 2023, 11:58:54 PM
Bounties earning are almost good as nothing these days. Gone were those days when bounty hunting was an average lucrative side-gig. Payouts are in BUSD which are very little at the end of the day
For bounty paid in altcoins, it is true that they are no longer profitable. Most bounties are only scams, or they failed to develop and the tokens end up with zero prices or too low prices. I see there are many bounty hunters to stop working because they realize it is not worth it anymore. They prefer to develop their accounts and focus on campaigns that pay the participants in BTC or top coins. Although paid in BUSD or BTC is smaller, it is better than get nothing after working for months. No lucrative bounty anymore, it is only an old story.

Very few have gained good market among the bounties. Those bounties have got limited slots. So, the old days of earning isn't possible with bounties anymore. Those old days won't come again, because that is the initial point at which the spread about cryptocurrencies happened in large scale as well as we had good number of cryptocurrencies reaching the market. Many have disappeared and many that came into the market during those days are in the lead.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 05, 2023, 11:36:02 PM
When India lost the 5th wicket for 57 runs the game was done and dusted but Axar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav played some incredible shorts and took team to the final overs and was surprised with the way Shivam Mavi was striking the ball.
Indian bowlers bowled too many no balls especially Arshdeep Singh who gave away 5 no balls and Sri Lanka was able to score runs with the free hit and that eased the pressure and gave them the opportunity to take the score to 206 runs.
Indian bowlers have given some extra no balls, but you can't deny that Sri Lankan players have batted very well too. Sri Lankan captain, Dasun Shanaka deserves all the credit for this victory. He showed outstanding performance with his batting and bowling. I had become his fan after watching his powerful performance against Australia. Axar Patel has played well today, India would have won the match if the top order players batted with more responsibilities.
Indian bowlers aren't that confident. At times they shine good and at times it'll be a big problem. In the first match it was a success for them, but the same didn't give hands. One more thing, in T20 if a single mistake is made, it costs them big and I see this match one such to loss against Sri Lanka. Each match result makes the upcoming match more interesting.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 05, 2023, 12:54:42 PM
He's stylish WK Batter and known for his big hitting, similar to Pant.

He didn't get much opportunity in the IPL but he impressed everyone with his power and his SR is close to 170 in IPL.

In domestic T-20 too he has almost 150 SR in 70 odd matches.

OK.. Let's see what he has to offer. Anyway it is good that the Indian selectors decided to go for someone who is young rather than once again turning back to Dinesh Karthik. India need to have decent options for keeper apart from Pant/Rahul/Kishan/Samson. And this is where the A and U-23 tours might have helped. Unfortunately there have been no tours for the past 6 months or so. If he is as good as his stats suggest, then fans of Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson may get disappointed. Still there is no guarantee that he may get even a single match.
Yeah, lets see his ability. Indian team's selection committee giving opportunity to the young players is really hard thing. Now he needs to utilise the opportunity and India is a team that have got good number of wicket keepers. Atleast he have entered the squad. Sri Lanka will play better in this match after the unexpected defeat in the first T-20.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 05, 2023, 12:40:56 PM
Confident performance from New Zealand. The second innings from New Zealand was declared at 277 runs losing 5 wickets. Pakistan needs 319 runs to win the match. It looked to be reachable target, but the bowlers from New Zealand is quite confident and have taken the wicket of Shafique and Hamza before starting the scorecard. Just a day left and two teams have the chance of winning the match. Lets wait and watch for the result.

For the past few months any tournament that is being played in Australia have got interrupted by bad weather and rain. Even in today's match the rain interruption have delayed the match. Once after the rain the match could turn and by the rain interruption Khawaja at 195* runs and Renshaw at 5* runs. Second day of the match and the rain interruption is really bad. Anyhow it is the nature and we can't make anything against it.
1328  Economy / Economics / Re: The Taste of an Economic Downturn on: January 02, 2023, 11:59:32 PM
I wonder, especially in other countries, how drastic is the change in your daily life that's brought about by this economic downturn?
The worst part are the changes in the emotional side of people. It's terrible to compare previous years and conclude your life quality is decaying. For us, human beings, it's not normal to decay, since we are constantly fighting to thrive and prosper in every aspects. Then we see people sad, angry, bored, annoyed, hopeless. The incidency of conflicts between each other and mental diseases increase considerably.
With time we need to progress, for which the human living standard is getting downturn. In my country we've got a saying we should know to live in all conditions. When you're in good wealth you should know how to live, same is when you're left without anything. Right now this should be a learning for us to keep ourselves prepared to experience any sort of situation and lead a better life.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: January 02, 2023, 11:55:45 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

Bitcoin in another way round can exist without exchanges, and if it does it will be very difficult to have a Bitcoin transaction that will give you Fiat currency, because P2P is very hard before you can as well see the transaction with very big amount, i will tell you that exchanges is what means the transaction of Bitcoin with fiat currency to be very simple and easier for us.

Bitcoin without exchanges would've never been this high in growth. Exchanges have played a big part, there are flaws as scams to ruin the reputation of bitcoin. In other way these exchanges have made more good to the uplifting of the market. As suggested bitcoin can function without exchanges, but we don't experience the same level of convenience and comfort as now.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Pure Bitcoin Speculation Dead by 2023? on: January 02, 2023, 11:41:04 PM
This is why I don't always believe in what the people that only know the theory knowledge about cryptocurrency say. Speculation was basically an act of predicting or guessing the market's possible next or future price and no matter what he used to back up his claim speculation can never be separated from the Bitcoin market because its volatility in nature has already made it a subject of speculation.
Let's use gold as an example. Despite it, the strongness of its industry and global adoption of its market gold is still speculated.
Regarding speculation, I think as long as the BTC community is still strong and they still believe in the value of Bitcoin we don't have to worry. Because it is the best fuel of Bitcoin and crypto. Although adoption or whatever is done for the near future speculation will remain. Unless Bitcoin becomes a stable asset.
The Bitcoin community is stronger than how we think if not when the SEC planned to FUD the market in the year 2016 we won't have seen what is called BTC.
Having said that, Bitcoin may be volatile in nature but there's no asset in the world that's stable in price and this is the reason speculation can never be separated from every asset market.
[/quote]
Even at that time period the community is strong. Think of the present situation. The number of users and the market available have increased drastically. To destroy bitcoin is not gonna happen. The market being volatile is the best part and no asset have got high volatility as cryptocurrencies. It is high risk asset than the stocks and other forms of investment. The market by development is speculative.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: January 02, 2023, 11:35:44 PM
every investment is the responsibility of each and they themselves will bear the risk and we as people who know these investors are enough to tell the truth about the meme coin hype that has ended, but if they still believe in what he thinks, so be it. because he has the right to choose where they dare to take risks when investing in meme coins.

and I also have never invested in any meme coin. because for me there is still something that is more profitable and has more value in the future in the coin that I have chosen and am currently holding.
Not investing in any memecoin is a smart move, not many people would be smart enough to stay away from the latest hypes and for a while memecoins were the biggest hype of the crypto world and too many people got into it.

People who have absolutely no idea about crypto got into dogecoin for a while, and not like they lost money neither, they made a lot of profit from it when the time came and that caused them to believe in it a lot more. The ones that sold and took their profit are happy and they think they did the right thing, and if they stayed in profit then they really did do the right thing. But many that kept on holding lost most of their money and that's a trouble for the market.
There are successful people out of investment on memecoins. A market shouldn't be of a same product, it needs to provide variety to its users. One such variety in cryptocurrency is the memecoins. These are for short term, if lucky you'll be profiting and if not you just need to ignore. Dogecoin to be used by Elon Musk might happen, but this isn't gonna make big push in the market.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memecoin and utility - impossible or next stage of crypto development on: January 02, 2023, 11:31:55 PM
If you talk of the utility of memecoins, it is very rare to see something perfect. Same time it is possible to see few of the memecoins having its usage on some needs. The most used being the dogecoin and Shiba. Dogecoin have got its history, but Shiba reached the market and the hype have good return. Further the team along with the community worked on development and now Shiba is used widely on different needs.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 02, 2023, 11:00:43 PM
Majority were in favour of bitcoin for what it have come across over the years. Next to bitcoin we can add a big list of altcoins, but the recent issues with different altcoins have kept people away from prioritising altcoins for the high profitability.

In all market condition it is good to buy altcoins that are very minimal in value, because if lucky the user gets good return. If not, the investment won't hurt as we'll be able to receive a good volume of tokens for small amount.
1334  Other / Archival / Re: Long-term Bitcoin accumulation continues on: January 02, 2023, 10:55:10 PM
As much as people may claim that 2022 was a disappointing year for cryptocurrencies, I beg to differ. I'm not actively purchasing Bitcoin, but I'm saving each signature campaign payment I receive, which is pretty much the same thing.
(...)
Bear market is perfect for accumulation by buying or by saving from your signature campaign payment. Imagine that now we can receive our payments in bitcoin with 3 times more than when Bitcoin was about $60,000. It is a great time for working and saving in 2022 and 2023.
(...)
This is already proven in every cycle. Just like before the 2019-2022 days when we see a very long period of a bear market and we saw multiple dumps happening the Bitcoin. And that's the time I keep buying Bitcoin at cheap prices.
I didn't regret it before, and that's why this 2023 - 2024, I'm looking forward to doing it again and accumulating Bitcoins at low prices.
Very long term of bitcoin bear market, but there is regular price fluctuation happening. We need to act wise and make use of the fluctuation. It is time to accumulate as much possible, and never intend to wait for the low bottom and invest. Because, we don't know what is the low bottom. In the event of waiting to invest at the bottom we'll miss opportunity. Good is to do DCA.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 02, 2023, 10:49:01 PM
New approach and fresh squad but they still neglected Prithvi Shaw in T-20 tho.
He has proven in domestic cricket that he has the ability to score runs at a good rate but still the selectors have neglected him for both T20 & ODI series with Srilanka. I guess they are prefer players who have done well in IPL and are not considering those who have done good in domestic. Last IPL I do not remember Shaw doing good.
The kind of cricket Prithvi playing in the last 2-3 years (domestic +IPL). His name should be on the T-20 team's roaster every single time. He didn't make many runs in the last IPL but his strike rate is way too good (average of 28 with 150 SR) and he's an opener, miles ahead of Rohit/KL/Kishan as far as attacking cricket goes.
Average does matter but SR is more important in T-20 and the way T-20 cricket is evolving, you can't afford to bring 3-4 players in the team with 40-50 averages + 130 SR. At best you can have only 1 anchor in the team.

I believe it is time for Prithvi Shaw to be given a chance. As far as I am concerned, I believe this guy is doing well at the moment, and he has also proven his worth in recent times. In any case, I was quite surprised to learn that he did not get any chance in the upcoming Sri Lanka series that is going to take place.

There is also another thing that is always perceived to be more significant in T-20 cricket than in regular cricket, and that is the strike rate. Although 130 strike rate is actually very favorable, so I have no idea why he didn't get the chance that he deserved, as 130 strike rate is actually very positive.
We see it in one way, but the cricket board looks the same thing in different ways. Prithvi Shaw is good with his performance, but there is no one to support him. The selection committee has to pick his name, but the politics might've denied him the opportunity. Until the start of the match it is possible to make changes to the squad. Lets wait and see who are all getting into the match.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys bet on sports or casinos more? on: January 02, 2023, 10:44:11 PM
If that was your won stand, then so be it. Mind your own business and don't bother with other people who prefer to gamble at casino games instead. No time is being wasted as these people really prefer online casinos instead of sports betting. Not all do have an interest in sports betting.

About your question, there are lots to choose from; Duelbits, Stake, Sportbets - you can refer to their respective ANN threads for discussions.

Goodluck with your betting with that decent capital. Prove to us that sports betting for you is sure money.
For users who have got good knowledge about different sports it is good to go with sports betting. People have got different preference. Most of the time people switch between sports betting and caisno games for specific reasons. The prime reason for which this happens is the immediate settlement. With sports betting it requires more time whereas the same won't happen with casino games.

As said it is our choice to go with rather than considering someone's choice just because it have given the convenience and the increased winning.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 02, 2023, 10:31:04 PM
This is actually what makes gambling a funny activity. It's the sensations and feelings you get while you play whether you lose or win, happy or frustrated.. However, frustration should be temporary and don't last for long otherwise gambling won't be funny anymore and you may start making bad decisions like trying to chase losses.
Somehow I never found this gambling funny. I've always been serious about gambling, but of course I've also had a lot of fun. Frustration and chasing losses are bad for those who gamble responsibly, but both feelings are always there for those who are addicted.

Oh wait, I'm an addict too and sometimes I get upset over losing but it seems like that feeling only lasts for a few minutes before I do anything else.  Wink
If we've understood about gambling in the right way we'll console ourselves not to get upset or frustrated on losing. When I was new to gambling I've cried for days with the doors locked. Those are days when my mind had a thought we'll win out of gambling and the loss wasn't acceptable. Slowly I understood the reality and got adopted to the situation.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 01, 2023, 08:58:06 PM
I always believe that lottery is made by the government to profit, or fund some projects, or charities.  There is two stance I have here.

1.  If the proceeds of the lottery profit goes to the right party such as economy development or charity support fund then I will say, it is a smart move of soliciting its citizen to support the government projects and acts of kindness and in return reward the lucky winner of life changing aount.

2.  If the lottery profit fund goes to the pocket of the corrupt officials then i can say it is a waste of time.
Agreed, in my country particular state have got national lottery. The fund is being used for the development of medical infrastructure and for the cancer patients. Everything is transparent and no corruption in the fund. Some interesting incidents happen often, recently an person aged 80+ won the lottery and the thing is that he had saved each and every lottery he had bought regularly till date. What he have spend on buying the lottery tickets till date is something close to his winning money.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: January 01, 2023, 08:53:07 PM
For people who are very competitive, gambling is never for fun.
It is either they win or win. Before you know it, pour all their emotions into it.
When they lose, their day is ruined. They become passive aggressive and will most likely transfer that aggression. I just feel that not everyone has the capacity to gamble for fun.
Absolutely true, the behavior of a gambler should have towards gambling when it is considered as fun may be different from that when the gambler takes it seriously. When a gambler loses, he or she will focus on that loss and want to gamble more with the goal of getting it back which would have no way of being considered as fun. In my opinion, a gambler can control himself after losing, he can really consider gambling as fun. It is usually a difficult task which is not possible for the most of the gamblers.
Gambling can be considered as fun by a very small percentage of gamblers. These gamblers never mind about the win/loss as they've got more to spend. Majority of the gamblers were with the focus of multiplying what is being deposited. When they weren't able to do it, gamblers just get emotionally down and look for the ways to recover. Here very few succeed whereas the majority loss more and more.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 01, 2023, 08:49:08 PM
Pakistan's contribution in the first test was not good at all. But some of their batsmen managed to hold wickets on the pitch to draw the match at the last stage. Pakistan could not be satisfied with the current performance of the team. They want to ensure victory in the next match but is it easy? While New Zealand have been in great form in recent times, their players have been performing admirably. Their only thought is to winning the upcoming match. Because by winning the match, the series will be won in favor of any team. Therefore, every team will enter the field with utmost importance in the upcoming test.
Agreed, the focus will be to win the match. For Pakistan this will be a pressure as they're in the home ground. If the first match have been won by New Zealand, now they could've felt a lot. By their luck they were able to draw the match which was supposed to be an easy win for New Zealand.
