Instead of feeling sad for them, I would say that they should be ashamed of this performance. I wonder what would be the feeling of the legends WI crickets like Brian Lara or Chris Gayle on their country worst ever performance. What can these legends do about the team selection and how they are performing, all they can do is to get disappointed and hopefully they will be able to regain their old glory. Ending up at fifth number against the teams like Netherlands, and Scotland is an insult in itself. I just finished watching the whole game, Ruud was superb though but Broady was in a beast mode, he was so caculative and prdictive, his service were on point and he was so precise with his game play, he played to his strength (Being left handed), he forced Ruud to dance to his tune, he tactically brought up a build up play, his service consistency helped him made some point through Ace, he won some games to Nil, in summary, Broady played a mind game against Ruud, he made sure he dictated the play throughout. He was so Superb, i'm predicting him to end up the competition at least as a top 4 player, Broady!!!

Netherlands have won the match against Scotland in style. De Leede's awesome innings scoring 123 runs from 92 balls made it happen. Netherlands have qualified for the 2023 World Cup. Netherlands lost its fifth wicket at 163 runs, the partnership between de Leede and Zulfiqar is just excellent and it is 100+ runs in less than 12 overs. Big disappointment for Scotland as it was like a winning moment for Scotland at some point. That was a real fight as Netherlands, Scotland and Zimbabwe have the same point and Netherlands gets qualified on Net runrate.
IMO, Scotland deserved to qualify, but then they got whatever shit that was warranted after bowling like schoolboys in the last 7-8 overs. Captaincy was extremely poor and Richie Berrington persisted with spinners (Mark Watt) despite Bas de Leede hitting him all over the park. And their best bowler was called in only when Netherlands needed just 2 runs to win. Chris Sole ended up bowling just 7 overs. This is retarded shit from the Scotland captain. He is the main reason why Scotland failed to qualify for the world cup. I just hope that Scotland will find someone who is in his right mental balance as the captain. BTW, I was watching the match live in Hotstar. Peak viewership in Indian market was 92K, which is not bad for a match between two associate nations. Myself was one among the 92k, and it was really bad captaincy. As Netherlands need to win within the 44 overs, Berrington should've brought Sole, Sharif or Leask as they need few more overs to be driven forward. There is a series ongoing between Irish women and West Indies women. Ireland lost the ODI series 0-2 (one match was washed out) and they lost the first T20I match as well. The T20I series consists of 3 matches and the remaining two matches will take place on 7th and 9th. BTW, there is another series between the Sri Lanka women and the New Zealand women, that will start on 8th July (ODI series is completed, and SL won 2-1). And finally Indian women are touring Bangladesh for a series of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The first match will be played on 9th July.
Just checked with the scorecard of the first T20 played between West Indies Women and Ireland Women. The match have gone much closer, and West Indies Women have won at the last ball of the match. The previous ball was a wide, if not Ireland might've got an opportunity to level the score and go for the super over. For Ireland it was Arlene Kelly who took 3 wickets with an economy of 5.25 rpo. @Sithara007 I didn’t knew that there was demand for local leagues as BCCI doesn’t even consider player’s who perform well in Ranji tournaments hence I thought that these leagues would not have much viewership. Furthermore do you think that BCCI would be okay with them increasing the quota for foreign player’s because won’t it harm the local player’s and secondly will these clubs even be able to pay the same wages like IPL clubs pay for their foreign player’s?
TNPL is quite popular now, at least in Tamil Nadu. The viewership numbers are quite good and it is reported that Star Sports is making good revenue from the sale of advertisement slots. And they have managed to bring some of the star players this season. One example is Ravichandran Ashwin representing Dindigul Dragons. Most of the franchises are reported to be in profit. But then, the BCCI has imposed a lot of restrictions on local leagues. Not only foreign players, but also players registered to other state associations can't participate in such leagues. And this reduces the popularity of the league outside it's home state. This season of TNPL have turned to be more popular with more star performers of IPL continuing the similar performance in TNPL. Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh Khan playing for Lyca Kovai Kings, Varun Chakaravarthy plays for Dindugal Dragons. More players have been performing good in the tournament, for them this league serves as a stepping stone. Dindugal Dragons and Lyca Kovai Kings leads the table winning 6 matches out of the 7 matches played. However in very few matches we were able to see 200+ runs while the average score used to be around 160 runs, which is getting better with every season. |

How do you handle a team like Bangladesh finishing their first innings with just 163 runs in 43 overs? Seven overs were shortened due to rain but I don't think just 163 in 43 overs is a good score against a team like Afghanistan. Many people are optimistic about the current team of Bangladesh in the upcoming World Cup. But if Bangladesh becomes such a failure in batting in such a preparatory match before the World Cup, then the trust that people have built in this team will be broken.
The batsmen of Bangladesh could not stand in front of the whirlwind of Rashid Khan and Mujibur Rahman. In a short time, Afghanistan will go into bat to chase the target of 164 runs given by Bangladesh. Afghanistan will win this match by a big margin.
Bangladesh have faced Afghanistan in an ODI match after almost a long time. But today, Bangladesh came after seeing a very bad performance on the first day. Bangladesh lost 4 wickets before completing 104 runs, this kind of game is not enough for an ODI match, but such a bad performance in their own home ground is never expected from Bangladesh. I feel disappointed with the Bangladeshi bowlers, as they failed to make any significant role in this match. Bangladesh's performance in the first ODI turn out extremely poor. The score was not big and the same time rain shows danger signal for the Bangladesh team both of the sides doesn't favor Bangladesh team even though Bangladesh is more stronger team in ODI cricket than Afganistan. Lost the first match in the 3-match ODI series Afghanistan team won by 17 runs on DLS method. Bangladeshi batsmen could not show their ability to Afghanistan bowlers except Towhid Hridoy. Afghanistan's Fazalhaq Farooqi contributed the most in this match along with Rashid Khan who also fell some important wickets. The pitch was somewhat pace bowling friendly. But even then Bangladesh had no chance of winning after being given a target of just 170 runs. Afghanistan batsmen have batted very responsibly. Since the target was very low, they just tried to stay at the crease. However, due to rain, it became easier for Afghanistan to win this match. Afghanistan will play 3 ODIs and two T20 matches in this tour. And so Bangladesh still has the possibility of winning the series. Whatever might be the scenario it is really bad to score 169/9 against Afghanistan team. Also it is the home ground, which means the home team should be good enough to play any condition in the ground. Bangladesh team have completely failed, atleast they could've scored 200+ runs. Towhid Hridoy stood wicket and scored at the right time, if not the match would've gone even worse. Rain had favoured Afghanistan, but the Afghanistan team is really good with their performance. More two matches left, which could still be a series winning opportunity for Bangladesh. The second T20 match have been won by England Women and they've leveled the series. This makes the third T20 match more interesting. Australia Women have won the toss and decided to bowl. The top order performed well and the same helped England Women reach good score. Danni Wyatt scored 76 runs from 46 balls which is really big and this made England Women set a target of 186/9.
Australia Women started well chasing the target. In between there was some lag and scoring got interrupted. In the last five overs the performance from Australia made everyone stunned as they were close to win. At the end Australia lost the match by 3 runs losing 8 wickets. Be it Media, Pundits or Fans, literally no discussion on how Bazball rolled over and lost the plot in the first 2 matches and too at home. In contrast, I remember how brutally Aussie media reacted when they lost 2 consecutive home series against India and I can imagine what would happen if India manage to lose 2 back to back matches on their home turf.
Having said that i'd still like to see them doubling down on an aggressive approach and in this process i am okay with both results be it 0-5 for Aussie or 3-2 for England.
Now, this is something that the England fans probably forgot to do. They really need to remind the England players that they have to perform better. England has been very dependent on a few players a little too much lately. England will have to improve their performance. And probably England has to realize that Australia currently has a better and in-form team compared to England. So it will obviously be hard for England to beat them. Australia is leading the test series and now it is going to be really hard for England to win this series. Winning three matches in a row is obviously going to be a tough ask for England. And the way they are performing right now, I don’t think it is going to happen. The test series this time will be won by Australia, because first two test matches were real opportunities for England. Small errors in the match and the miscalculation costed them big. The third match which is a must win for England makes them under pressure while Australia will be very cool to play the rest of the Matches. Based on the scheduling the championship should've got over by now. I don't know how far it is true, but there were news that the tournament have got conducted in a private region which isn't disclosed. The event that has been scheduled for six weeks have come to an end with some fight between the participants and the organizers. Anyhow this isn't a needed one, entertainment have gone beyond the limits. Whatever standard have been set, this can't be considered as a sport in my view. |

Although they legalized Bitcoin at 30% tax but the political and economic condition of our Bangladesh is so bad that it is not possible to legalize Bitcoin even at 70% tax here. If the government of Bangladesh legalizes Bitcoin, its country and banking system will be in dire straits, never legalize it.  Since there is no acceptance of Bitcoin in Bangladesh especially by the government, there is no system to install Bitcoin ATMs in the country. However, I searched on Google and saw that there is no Bitcoin ATM here. India have got 30% tax on gains. Along with it there is a 4% cess and on trading there is 1% tds. Thats a huge money, apart the bitcoin ATMs charge a hefty fee of 15-20% which makes buy/sell using bitcoin ATM very expensive compared to what's been charged on exchanges. I haven't used Bitcoin ATMs, maybe installing bitcoin ATM is profitable. |

Eubanks wins Mallorca (on grass), Tommy Paul reaches Eastbourne final (on grass), Madison Keys wins the Eastbourne WTA title (guess the surface  ) Is it some kind of a new trend and Wimbledon will be won by a US player this year? Wimbledon Title winner from USA is no surprise, because a big list of players are into the tournament. For now we can expect Isner, Fritz, Shelton, Tiafoe, Korda reach the next round.
