321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 01, 2023, 11:38:04 PM
Not everyone condider gambling as entertainment. As big money is involved with gambling, the addiction is an easy thing that takes place with gamblers. At some point the gamblers focus will be not on winning big and all, they just want their lost money to be recovered. This focus lets them jump and find solution to get back the lost amount. Based on the suggestions in the article it is all about gambling without money involvement. This won't work with the addicted gamblers.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is a tight slap to bitcoin haters on: August 31, 2023, 08:11:35 PM
The news source have limited the death to 20 occassions. Bitcoin have died hundreds of times. How does bitcoin haters exist around the world. They just expect big things to happen overnight and doesn't have the patience to hold. Later they say this to be the mistake of bitcoin and not theirs. Bitcoin haters were the majority to regret of missing the opportunity to invest at a better price.

At some point this is being compared and connected with the tulip bubble, but the reality is understood later as it didn't end as predicted.

When you score only 164 runs in a one-day international match, it is very hard for the bowlers to defend this small score in 50 overs. The same happened with Bangladesh bowlers today.  They managed to take two quick wickets at the start of the Srilankan innings but as the target was very low, the SriLankan team never came into any sort of pressure.
It is a difficult task to defend a target like 164 runs even when you have the best bowling lineup but what was surprising was that the the bookies were still giving Sri Lanka decent odds, which confused me while placing a bet when they lost two wickets in quick succession, sometimes you get lucky getting good odds and Sri Lanka are cruising towards victory as they need just 44 runs from 22 overs.

I didn't saw the odds at that time of the match but what odds were given by the bookies? If the odds were good, i hope you would have taken the odds in the favor of Srilanka and won some decent amounts  Smiley

Well, we have seen two matches in this tournament till now and both of them were one sided.

Will the next match between India and Pakistan be a thriller with a close finish?

Lets wait and watch what is going to be the outcome of the match. Both the teams are equally strong and both team players were at their best in providing big contribution. Till date whenever India play against Pakistan, Dhoni was in the team. This time Dhoni isn't there in the team, so we can't be sure whether the luck favours India.
324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 07:14:03 PM
Not the responsible gambling, but the luck along with it have helped me several times. Why I say it as luck along with responsible gambling is all because of the win that need to be withdrawn or used at the right time. Most of the time I've lost my lucky wins out of irresponsible gambling. To experience the best of gambling, there is need of luck followed by the responsible usage. The best in recent days is that I was able to gift a friend a small amount of bitcoin on her birthday. This helped me gift her, if not she couldn't have got bitcoin as gift.

I was just watching the match of Hurkacz vs Draper. After the Cincinnati Masters match against Alcaraz his play have grabbed my attention. In the first round he played against Huesler and won the match after losing the first two sets. Now in the second round similar kind of game as the first round is happening. Hurkacz have lost the first two sets against Draper and now third set is going on.

Edit: This time Hurkacz have lost the match 6-2 6-4 7-5

128/5

37 run need to win

But Bangladesh can comeback?

Edited 132/5

33 more runs need to win.... impossible..

Comeback is impossible, Srilanka have lost 5 wickets but Asalanka and Shanaka on the crease makes it a winning match for them. Sri Lanka needs another 22 runs in 90 balls. Asalanka have scored 50 runs from 85 balls and his wicket standing at the right time has helped Sri Lanka. If he hadn't scored enough this could've been a closer match. Bangladesh scoring just 164 runs and 89 runs coming from Shanto is really bad performance of Bangladesh team.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: August 31, 2023, 03:41:01 AM
According to the data point source from UN Agency report of my country, 74% can't afford healthy diet. The cost of healthy food have increased over the years. Yet, on comparison with the BRICS nations the food price in my country is low. The thing that makes an overview of food price is at its high is the stagnant income level which isn't moving forward than going down. The food cost in my country have increased by 65% whereas the income have increased to a maximum of 35%, so a balanced growth keep things under control.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 30, 2023, 11:38:02 PM
A really close match between Tsitsipas and Stricker. Each of the 4 sets was hard fought and currently it looks better for Stricker in set number 5. 5:2 for him. Who would have thought that the number 128 from Switzerland would possibly beat Tsitsipas?
And for Djokovic, it seems that Round 2 comes to a fast end.

Edit:  Stricker won the match.

Yeah, Tsitsipas is out of US Open early. Unbielivable, but it's a fact. Young Swiss guy Dominic Stricker left the Greek no chance. It's the first Top10 win for a 21 yo Swiss who looks like a bit overweight farmer boy but plays like a tennis god!  Grin

Final result: 7-5 6-7(2) 6-7(5) 7-6(6) 6-3
Surprises were part of tennis and this is one of the match. There is expectation from Tsitsipas and this time things didn't work well. Play three tie breaker set could've made both of the players get tired, because everything went close from the beginning. Only the final set had a better lead. Dominic Stricker who made a great win doesn't perform in a consistent manner in the next match which is the disappointment from these players.

The match win against Nepal is a much expected one. Nepal players couldn't stay longer against the bowling attack from the Pakistan bowlers. In the match Babar Azam registered his second highest score scoring 151 runs. Ifthikhar made his maiden ODI century and the score reached 342/6. The record of highest 5th wicket partnership is made by Babar Azam and Ifthikhar pair-214 runs. Nepal wasn't able to chase the massive target and ended the innings for just 104 runs and Pakistan won the match by 238 runs.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 30, 2023, 05:59:12 AM
In offline casinos there'll be emergency medical services, none could've thought that he's suffering from Cardiac arrest. Human life is more important, and surely the dealer could've stopped the play and taken necessary measures. Now the blame shouldn't be on the dealer or the casino. Whenever we spend money we can experience the difference in our heartbeat. I don't know about others, but I personally experience difference and we only need to be responsible handling ourselves understanding gambling isn't meant for us.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 30, 2023, 05:54:14 AM
Surprises were common with Tennis matches and now I see it with the match between Huesler and Hurkacz. In the previous Cincinnati Masters Hurkacz played the semifinal match against Alcaraz and gave tight competence losing with a tie breaker win from Alcaraz in the second set. Today he had lost the first two sets 6-4 7-5 against Huesler, and now the third set is being played 5-5 which could move to the tie breaker.
Matches with a 3-set system often provide an opportunity for players who are already two sets behind to change their situation, and Hurkacz managed to turn this situation into a match he won, and the fifth set was relatively easier for him because his opponent was only able to get 1 game.
What was no less surprising was how Borna Coric failed to beat Baez after he had also lost to the same player in the previous tournament, Baez didn't take long to beat Coric, especially in the third set where his opponent seemed to have lost the power to change things.

Alcaraz was able to save his energy for the next match because in the first round, his opponent walkover from the match due to injury in the second set.
Yes, the three set matches gives an advantage. Hurkacz is really good to give a fight back and win the match 4-6 5-7 77-60 6-3 6-1. I didn't expect such a comeback from Hurkacz after watching tha first two sets.

Baez have won consecutive matches against the same player. The Winston - Salam Open match was very close as two games were decided through tie breaker. This time Baez have won it in an easier way on direct sets 7-5 7-5 6-1 which is really an unexpected performance from Coric.

Alright people. It's Asia Cup time. It's good to see several new teams in this edition who could actually compete with the top dogs. As usual, India + Lanka + Pak are the strongest, but I hope that there are some unexpected twists.
Am expecting Sri Lanka to win this edition which is an extremely early prediction. Whoever wins will have a great advantage in the upcoming WC.
In my view, the possibility is very low for Sri Lanka to win the Asia cup again in this year. Both Pakistan and India are strong, and I'm expecting one of them to win the Asia cup. Nepal is the only new team in this Asia cup. Hong Kong was the new team in the 2022. They were in the same group of India and Pakistan, and the new team Nepal has replaced them. I believe Nepal will loss the both matches with big margin.
It is foolish to make predictions before the game starts. It is true that Nepal is a bit weaker than all the other teams. But it would not be right to consider Nepal as such an insignificant team. You may have noticed the matches of Nepal team, Nepal plays much better now than before. So without watching this year's Asia Cup game. It is not possible to say by how much margin Nepal team will win or lose. Now when the Asia Cup starts, it will be understood how well any team can play
Pakistan and India are two of the top ODI teams in ODI cricket whereas Nepal is one of the bottom ODI cricket team so the difference will be that everyone is expecting Nepal to go out of the tournament without winning a match. If it was a T20 tournament then Nepal had some chance to win but since it is played in ODI format it is very difficult for Nepal to win against India or Pakistan. It is very difficult but impossible for Nepal to win against India and Pakistan, but if Nepal performs well and if India or Pakistan do not play at their best, then Nepal will definitely have a chance to win any of the Asia Cup matches. Even if Nepal can't win a match, Nepal fans will be happy with Nepal's performance because Nepal has performed well recently and they have been doing great in cricket recently.

The first match of the Asia cup between Pakistan and Nepal and I do not see any upset being happening at the start of the series. Pakistan should easily won this match and we can bet on it. I just checked the stake to see the odds for this match and was disappointed to see the odds of 1.01 for the Pakistan win. It is not worth taking the risk.

Also, do not take the risk on Nepal's 12.50 odds either. Nepal will not be able to win this one.

Pakistan is at its best and Nepal can expect to perform well. When it comes to winning, this is really tough. The odds itself show how the match gonna be. All that I expect, the match shouldn't be completely one sided. Nepal needs to try something to experience the loss at minimal margin. Same time disappointment and surprises too could happen same as what we saw with the Pakistan's previous series against Afghanistan.
334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can 1 satoshi be worth $1 in the future? on: August 28, 2023, 06:00:01 PM
Value of one Satoshi leveling the value of a dollar could happen in the future when the entire world gets used to it. Probably when the entire form of online and offline transaction have got bitcoin payment as an additional choice of payment. For now we don't have much of access, but things could change over time. In such case the distribution will vary and will be in large scale. By that time this could happen, however when calculated against the market cap this is a something unrealistic. Lets see what happens.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: August 28, 2023, 05:52:53 PM
Taking consideration about the halving, it is the right time to make your entry into the market. Having a diversified investment seems to be fair than going on a single cryptocurrency. This means the trend will be followed by the altcoins. Based on the movement of bitcoin will be the move of altcoins. In such manner we'll be able to experience the best when we have diversified investment. The market is at the bear and making use of the opportunity and holding will give the best return close to halving.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: August 28, 2023, 05:51:22 PM
Whether it is a confirmed bet or something else, at any point we should not think of spending through loan or as a whole. We don't have anything proven, when there is something related to the money involved. What we can do, just understand how good is the sports and the inner minds thinking. Sometimes our feel will be positive and mostly it'll be against the reality. So, just spend few dollars on these confirmed bets.

Three matches left for the day. The match between Abha and Al Feiha have ended in a 2-1 win for Abha. From the start to the end of the match Abha have got good lead as Al Feiha continued to do the best, so the competence can be kept active. However the two goals from teg first half and the second half won it as Al Feiha was able to make a goal in the last minute.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 27, 2023, 10:13:43 PM
Upsides of keeping your savings in a betting account:
- None

Downsides of keeping your savings in a betting account:
- You will probably never save.
- Your savings will be subject to the terms of a gambling platform instead of a bank account/bitcoin wallet (reduce sovereignty, higher risk)
- Temptation will be easier to succumb to due to the convenience of having the balance available in a better account.

If you are coming from the view that you can grow faster in a betting account than a savings account, that is completely untrue, factually and statistically speaking.
The major problem is the temptation to gamble. When you don't have balance in the wallet one won't think of gambling. Myself used to play without bet amount, which means used to keep on rolling to reach a specific result. This used to be kill lots of time, and this used to be fun. When we have balance surely we'll get tempted to spend and multiply it. This is real risk when our choice is to save. Better choice is to save in a non custodial wallet.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: August 27, 2023, 09:29:01 PM
After big losses expecting big wins I've changed myself. Nowadays on getting mere wins I stop gambling for the day. With sports betting when my bet is on the assured win I used to go for the end result. If the teams into the game were equally strong and if I feel that the result could change anytime I'll go with the Cashout feature when my bet have small profit. Earlier I've experienced losses expecting the big return, and whenever we spend on sports betting going with the suggested low odds bring better winning than betting against the odds.

The Indian Women's Blind team have won the Gold Medal on the IBSA World Games 2023. The team have won against the strong Australia team which is really great. Australia have scored 114 runs batting first, and India started to chase the target. Inbetween rain interrupted and the overs were reduced. India reached 43 runs in 3.3 overs winning the match by 9 wickets.
