461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Days you need to work your ass at minimum wage for a BTC, by country on: July 28, 2023, 11:45:09 PM
In my country there is nothing as minimum wage. Based on the average wage in my locality I'll make the calculation. This used to vary around other states. In my region it is something around $10. With the present price of Bitcoin it needs atleast 8 years to have one bitcoin in the wallet. Life is really hard, as the government isn't much focused on things that are primary requirements.
462  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 28, 2023, 11:27:01 PM
The usage of bitcoin world wide have got its importance, but we can't be sure that the price gets direct connect with the increasing acceptance and usage. As the market revolves around the demand to supply there is chance of price reaching high. Already the price have reached around $70k, based on which the price reaching $100k isn't a big deal.

Everything need its time, and every market have got its own growth pattern. This can be a cyclic process that have dependence as well as independent move from the traditional market which makes the real reason behind the growth. If we were able to address it then we can be sure on how price could reach on increasing acceptance.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 28, 2023, 11:22:33 PM
When it comes to gambling, it is all about luck. When you're lucky even the worst prediction you make will bring you money. The bad part you'll endup losing everything even when you're 100% sure on your prediction but you don't have the luck. From my understanding whatever the care we take and have statistics we'll fail if we don't have the luck. For this reason some limits being set for the day/week/month as suggested by the OP seems to be the better choice.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 26, 2023, 11:48:50 PM
The percentage of casinos that have gone into bankruptcy is very low. This too could've happened due to some error or some sort of hacks from the gamblers. Very few platforms ended with bankruptcy due to the gamblers learning the scripts used and taking advantage of it to win big. Gambling House always have its edge, which means amidst the win/loss by the gambler and the house there'll be certain percentage that'll be accumulated as profit. These days we can't see bankruptcy of gambling platforms. Some have ended their services for different reasons and not of bankruptcy.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 26, 2023, 11:41:15 PM
What other pattern of gambling can more favourable and appealing to offering me 5BTC so stop gambling for life. The bitter truth that majority of us gamble for the money not fun and if we are wealthy enough we will never accept gambling as an option to make money when we can invest in numerous projects that can fetch us profit that's not based predominantly on luck like gambling. So OP, YES I will take the 5BTC and gladly walk away from anything related to gambling. I can get fun from other pleasurable activities with my money.
I belief,  100% of members of the forum will simply pick the 5 Bitcoin and quite gambling for life,  even though a good number of members here only gamble to entertained themselves and not for the money,  it even though while we are seeking the fun,  the winning rewards is a big motivation to many of us and no greater fun having and watching 5 BTC chilling in your wallet.

I think there are no greater feelings like that feelings,  5 BTC means a lot of money in many parts of the world that could give you a better life that can make you forget gambling for life.
For a person residing in a third world country, 5BTC is something big and a common man won't earn in his lifetime based on the current price of bitcoin. Surely they'll take the 5BTC and assure not to gamble forever, in between when we move to the comfortable space once again the mind could get deviated looking for more.

In my situation I'll just share it with my family and keep 3BTC for myself with which I could get into trading and make few dollars a day.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 25, 2023, 11:59:41 PM
Or worse, people will start considering committing a suicide and eventually end up taking their own life just like what we discussed here in this forum a couple of weeks ago about a student who used his tuition in gambling activities.

Honestly, it's not really that surprising that gamblers will end up in a situation like these because right from the start, they are already thinking it wrong and chasing whatever what is lost will be the easiest shortcut towards debt and problems. Gambling should be played with a total control over your emotions and setting the boundaries so that problems can be avoided.

This kind of situation will never cease to exist as long as there is no school for gamblers to guide them through their journey to placing a bet. Every gambler is basically a learner on its own, and at some point too, you can learn some things from other gamblers. The question is, what if you are learning from a bad gambler? It means the person can still be influenced. Chasing Losses in gambling is bad, but it's absolutely inevitable in the lives of some gamblers. Yes, I also came across the thread where the student gambled with the school fee. But the worst thing a compulsive gambler can do is commit suicide. It's really terrible to do such a thing.
Life is to live and we don't have the right to end it. We haven't made our life, our parents have given it and we're living it in the way we're taught and we've learnt. To some extent we'll be under the guidance of parents and guardians, beyond that it is the self learning and the practice that makes the person make decisions. As said losing is common and we should have the mind to accept it. When we go behind the losses to recover it we'll end up losing more and more. The continued losing streak and unable to achieve anything in life makes them end the life. We should not let our mind go to such extent at any situation.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: July 25, 2023, 11:39:39 PM
I am surprised that no one in this thread has condemned the objectionable behavior from Harmanpreet Kaur after the 3rd ODI match. After she got out, she smashed the wickets with her bat, and during the post-match ceremony made some pathetic comments about the umpiring. Indian women are happy when the umpiring decisions go their way, but behave like baboons when they go against them. And this has become a clear trend now. Women players are also behaving boorishly, like the men. One of the reasons why I don't want jokers like Kohli in the Indian team. His behavior is being copied by a lot of younger players on and off the field.
Thats true the players enjoy whenever the decision goes in their favour and makes unwanted statements when the decision is against them. This shouldn't have happened, but human error is unavoidable. Even the players makes mistakes, they should realise and act when they're in public. As said these can be seen much with men's cricket and the trend is taking a transition into the women's cricket. Players like Virat Kohli should be a role model, and his activities and attitude needs to change.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: July 25, 2023, 04:45:55 AM
What a shit an a non sense it was that offer to Mbappe, i really dislike this kind of _"new" football, so much money involved without reason, only greed and business, i know football its a busines since 1990 but come on, this its so much.

Its gonna flood and cause a mass inflation on football.
These days football leagues have gained importance and it is in a transition level from one part of the world to the rest of the world. By the time Saudi Arabia have decided to take advantage of the scenario and making use of the opportunity. As mentioned this would cause big inflation in football. Already we've seen it happening with the European Football Clubs. For some time period European Clubs enjoyed and now Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs have begun to pour good sum of money into big players. Maybe after few decades this could happen somewhere else.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 25, 2023, 04:14:07 AM
After the defeat from the Wimbledon Djokovic have decided to withdraw from the ATP Toronto Masters. He had decided to be off from the court for few more days, also mentioned that he always enjoyed playing in Canada and hope to return in the coming years. This time quarter finalist of Wimbledon Eubanks gets entry into the Toronto main draw.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 24, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
Greed is common among the people when we're on the winning streak. This can't be overcome that easily. It needs time, because a person getting into greed might succeed out of luck or he gets down. To get out of the mentality ends when he/she experience a massive loss. Here the OP is good that his spending is very limited and doesn't hurt him in any means. From my understanding this is the base, small bet amount will slowly increase when the person experience to win big money. So, it is all about how we have control over our activity.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 24, 2023, 11:53:15 PM
Everyone wants their lives to be better than before. The same when happens with ease it'll be more enjoyable. This makes people to gamble as look for good profit. Not everyone are successful in it. Whether you've got sufficient money or not, it is human mind to look for more and more. We can't term it greed all the time, but this is how human minds were developed  Wink

Myself have got the same thoughts on gambling. I usually prefer to have my wallet balance stable and make some earning beyond that. This is usually to meet some of my needs, but the same won't succeed everytime and we should have the mind to accept the reality of gambling.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think Bitcoin Market Need Promotes for Price up ? on: July 24, 2023, 11:38:59 PM
Everything need its time. Bitcoin isn't an exception to have its growth chart with the upward movement alone. If something have got the growth pattern in the upward track forever then it is a scam or some sort of hype project. Never fall into it, what we experience with bitcoin is real growth. Whether there is bullish move or something bearish, it always have its reason. At times it is hard for us to understand/find the real reason.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the largest meme coin ever? on: July 24, 2023, 11:25:31 PM
Shib or Doge. Most people would probably say Doge since afaik it was always the OG meme coin that most people know? A lot of the others were just meme coins that followed the trend (or are trying to) and just failed miserably trying to make money off of scamming people. I mean look at Pepe, while it was a good coin to profit off at some point, it was only a short term one and basically went down half of its peak at this moment and would probably keep going down later on.
The majority gets stuck to doge coin is right, because it is the original as well as the cryptocurrency that have existed long back and carries good track record. Even the meme coins should have the ability to stay strong for a long, but this hadn't happened with majority of the memecoins and this makes dogecoin the best among the all. Shiba stands next, because it got successful, and to keep its progress stable the development is made effective and more real time usage space is created.
474  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 24, 2023, 11:06:19 PM
Yes this was very similar to what happened in 2018. We chopped for months and went no where. Even after summer ended we still didn’t get a strong trend until November time. Catalyst for that dump was the entire Bitcoin sv and Bitcoin cash debates.

So most likely this time around we need something similar. We either will get some massive fud or something positive like an etf approval which will get us out of this tight trading range.
Everything is upon the cyclic pattern, and bitcoin price movement have got similarities to the past. What we experience looks like the impact of halving. During the days before halving the price movement used to stagnate and move high during the days around the halving.

These days reaction to FUD isn't happening around as people are much aware of the market and the reality behind the growth. As said something positive happening around will give a upliftment in the price of bitcoin.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 23, 2023, 11:45:54 PM
This year's FIFA Women's World Cup tournament so far has not produced much goals as is expected of women's league. And to be honest, it's quite boring. Maybe as it's in it's early stages. I was expecting the Three Lionesses of England to thrash the Haitian side but their performance was not something I'd call satisfactory and if they couldn't beat the Haitian side well, is it the Denmark women they'd defeat? Maybe this will end in a draw.

Agreed so far it's been a little uninspiring.  I expect the knockout stages to be a little more watchable but to date there hasn't been that great of soccer (or futbol whatever) being played.  US side should have annihilated the Vietnam side and just spooked sloppy when in their 18, laid off betting for now but considering betting the underdogs going forward as the favorites have been just squeaking by.
Every passing year there'll be improvement with the teams. This is why we weren't able to see teams making big number of goals. Earlier the leagues were dominated by the big ones who thrash the small teams. Nowadays the small teams have improved much and standing strong against the big ones. This is why we weren't able to see much of goals. Even in mens football we were able to see underdogs winning matches that can't be said as just mistake. Those were part of the team's improvement.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 23, 2023, 11:40:37 PM
Rublev swept Ruud off the court easily (relatively) 7:6, 6:0. The Norwegian was only resisting Andrei's big forehand in the first set. In the second, Rublev turned GOD MODE on with super hard and precise shots mostly down the line demolished Ruud. This and also the slippery court after the rain made the Norwegian surrender. Well deserved win for the Russian! Congrats to Rublev!

Hamburg set to start tomorrow, some big names on the list: Zverev, Ruud, Rublev, Musetti, Cerundolo.

Yup, he destroyed Zverev a few days ago as well.
He's the inform player to beat in Hamburg - he'll be my favorite for another trophy there.

_________________________

Ćorić won against Riedl with ease, so Croatia won the Hopman cup without having to play the doubles match. Congrats both to him and Donna.
Against Zverev the winning is just simple. There is no big fight and all. The match had ended in two sets with the score 6-2 6-3. In the semifinals Rublev had experienced a tight competence as Cerundolo kept on attacking as two sets reached the result on tie breaker and the final set favoured Rublev. The finals which should've been a tough one for Rublev once again ended in an easier way as the winning happened 77-63 6-0
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 23, 2023, 11:35:15 PM
You must pay interest on a loan, but if you sell your property, you forfeit the opportunity for future value. It's difficult to pick between these two, but I believe a loan is preferable because you can still pay with interest. If you simply invest in Bitcoin, you will receive more than what you have sold. I believe in Bitcoin since not everyone in the world is investing in it, and there are many investors who have yet to invest in it. So, if the moment has arrived, many individuals will undoubtedly benefit.
Yes, when we go for a loan we need to think of the interest and all. When we think of selling a property, it is just a single time settlement, but we'll regret for what we've done as the value appreciates with time. When it comes to loan, if the loan amount is invested wise we'll get good return from the same and this can be used to repay the loan along with the interest. As said bitcoin is a good choice, and priority can vary between different users.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 23, 2023, 05:17:17 PM
In every test match played around rain had interrupted. The match which is supposed to be a win for England finally ended in a draw. If England have got two complete sessions they could've won the match. Now the match between India and West Indies have interrupted by rain. West Indies started the innings good, but the same didn't continue today. Mohammad Siraj had bowled well and taken 5 wickets which have increased the chance of winning. Now rain have interrupted and the play is getting delayed, which could be an advantage for the West Indies team.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 23, 2023, 11:20:31 AM
England is on one side and the Rain & Australian team are playing on the other side. I wonder if this test match ends in a draw and it would be Rain who comes to the rescue of the Aussie team. Well, its still time (one whole day) left in the match and if we happen to get 80+ overs then England might still win but we can't say anything with surety at the moment.

Let's suppose there is no rain interruption today, Australia still trail by 64 runs and they have 5 wickets in hand only. They need to bat and survive the first two sessions today in order to save this test match.

Right now its raining at old Trafford. A pitch inspection was scheduled at 11 am but because of rain there will no play till the rain stops. Due to heavy rain the out field is wet and even if rain stops it will take time to clear the outfield . England are defiantly in command at the moment but its rain that's stopping the England way. England can finish the game if they got 30 to 40 overs today without any interruption.

At present it is still raining, so once the rains stop, then we will have to wait for the wet outfield to get dried up. So all this will take time and every passing moment is a blessing for the Australians.

England on the other hand would be feeling very frustrated as they thought they are so close to winning this match but yet so far. The rain is becoming a serious hurdle between them and the victory.

Even if England continues their good form for the next test match, they cannot win the Ashes, the maximum they can do is to draw it.
Lucky Australia team, fourth day of the match ended with the play taking place for the last session. This is a big disappointment as England weren't able to take wickets. If they had taken few wickets it could've been a happy moment for them. In these kind of match situation surely rescheduling is a must. The match which is supposed to be an easy win gonna end in a draw will surely make cricket followers lose interest on watching test matches. If this match gets the result in favour of England, the final test match will be very interesting and both the teams will try to win the match which will be the deciding match of the Ashes Series.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Population: Economic strength or weakness on: July 22, 2023, 11:23:34 PM
Population is just a factor that could drive the economy of a country towards the progressive path as well as downwards. It all depends upon the person in power. The population being productive is in the hands of the government. The government should engage into development and creating more opportunities. When the government fails, then the young population gets deviated from the track. This is where more crimes takes place and the same population turns to be weakness. Right now China and India stands high on population. Both are at the good position in terms economic strength, however the policies India government hold at the moment to divide and rule can anytime be a threat to the country as well as upliftment of economy.
