1321  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Owl.games confiscated 0.1 BTC for rediculous reason on: February 19, 2023, 12:03:21 PM
Yes they are I've seen them resolve two issues already but you have to send a support ticket or contact them to their official telegram channel to make them aware of the accusation here they have locked their thread here and their representative here's last login was over three weeks ago.

They have to come down here and post something any unresolved ticket is deemed bad for the casino's reputation

This is just a childish thing to run away from the forum without resolving the issue. I agree that every casino has the right to stay on any platform or not, but the timing of Owl.games to exit this forum is not good especially when they have an open accusation against them.

Yes, it really can work, although the posts on their Twitter do not have so many views, in extreme cases there is always an opportunity to send a complaint about the Twitter account @OWLDAOio to Twitter itself, giving all their evidence, perhaps this will force them to enter into a constructive dialogue.

If the OP is true, he should spread his voice on every social media platform including twitter. They just can't run away with the money without getting their reputation damaged. They locked their thread in this forum is maybe the first indication that they may be planning to scam exit. Be careful.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 19, 2023, 08:37:49 AM
Are we talking about 1 BTC or a bitcoin equivalent to $100? And what age were the children? It seems to me that most of the people who know how to handle money know or have heard about bitcoin, and if they are asked such a question, it would be logical to clarify how much bitcoin costs now, even if they don’t monitor its price.

If these girls had no idea about bitcoin, their question should be "What is bitcoin" but since they opted for dollar and not getting curious to know about bitcoin, shows that they have some knowledge of bitcoin.

Nice try OP!  Grin These dumb kids have no idea about bitcoin so they will choose a 100$. I would rather surprise if they choose bitcoin over 100$. They thought bitcoin is some currency used in game.

The interviewer guy should ask a random guy on the street instead of asking a kid.

How do think that these girls were kids who were interviewed in the video? They are teenage girls and I think they had no idea about the bitcoin price. They may have heard of bitcoin somewhere therefore I don't see them asking anything about bitcoin.
1323  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 on: February 19, 2023, 06:07:36 AM
I was following this OwL site and OWLDAO gambling token but why they have locked their thread ?

🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect

Is everything OK regarding their site and token?

Owl.games gambling site is up and running but i have no idea what is the current status of their gambling site withdrawal status etc

However, they have locked their ANN thread as they have stated that they will provide support service on their website but then we have an open accusation against them.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5439282.0

Some people think that they have locked their thread as they do not want to be dragged into resolving this accusation, but things won't be better for them if they have an open accusation against them.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 19, 2023, 05:48:44 AM
Hello,
Has anyone used ChatGPT for trading?

Thank you so much.

What, is really chat GPT can help you to do trade? I don't think so. It’s a text based bot that can help you to learn anything, but I don't think it can help you to do trade or buy sell any crypto.

If you want you can learn from it that how to do a trade or a complete guidline of crypto trading. But don't expect this will help you to do trade like a Trading bot.

ChatGPT cannot help in doing trading although if anyone wants to learn about trading, he may use the chatGPT to get answers to some generic questions such as what are different type of indicators, how to use trading view, what the are platforms to trade etc etc.

ChatGPT cannot do technical or fundamental analysis for us, because it does not have the current market data and news to consider in its analysis.

However, i see many people on social media spreading this thing that they will teach how to do trading with the help of ChatGPT and they are getting money from innocent people for this training. Whenever a new tool comes in the market, some people only try to scam others and those who have less knowledge become their victim.

1325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 18, 2023, 07:48:31 PM
Just wait till you feel like it. And divide your assets in multiple section. Buy and sell in different price points. That way you can keep a steady flow and you can also take profits from them. Never put all your assets in one price range. I had to learn that in the hard way. So don't make that mistake. And in any bull run, the price will reach a new ATH price range in most of the time. So if you can pinpoint that, then you know when to sell and when to buy.

Well this is really a difficult decision to make as to when to sell in a bull market. The market sentiments are so positive that we never feel that it is the end of the bull run and we keep on buying at the top hoping it will create another all time high. It is impossible to time the market.

However, there are some clues which can tell that the bull run is over. Usually in a bull market, first the bitcoin pumps, then high market cap altcoins pump, then low cap coins pump and when you see shit coins making 10-50x, it's time to be out of the market as the bull season should be ending soon. This is one indication that i use to exit the markets.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 18, 2023, 07:17:29 PM
This and God knows how many matches get fixed but pass through the public eyes without notice. Where there is money involved there is always chance for fraud.
This might be correct especially if you are doing this on a corrupt country, and probably some government official are making money here as well.
Fraud is everywhere, hard to tell if the game is fixed or not because the players can also be part of it. Sports betting are easy to fraud, if there's a huge money in the table. The mafia knows where to make money and with that, Brazil sports might be one of their favorite spot to do this. You're lucky if you are able to get a signal for a fixed matches, its not easy to have that signal though and no guarantee for if its true or not.

Match fixing or sports betting fraud is a big crime and unfortunately, the real beneficiaries for these are the national players and maybe the government is also involved in fraud of such a big level.

I will try to give you an example and you will see how big this game is. Let's suppose a Strong Team has a match with a very weak team and it is certain that a strong team will win. Almost 90% will bet on the strong team. Now the Strong team decided to fix the match, lose it, and before the match, they place a million dollars bet on the weak team (the odds are also high for weak teams).

The strong team loses the match, lose the match winning money but won 100 times more in the bet. The government can also involve in this if they decide to inject even more capital in this fixed match bet.
1327  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 18, 2023, 07:01:02 PM
Playing freerolls for the past week has been some kind of crazy, seeing 9 sats to 8 sats, doesn't seem much at all but it's a big idea of how much price has been changing the past few days especially. I'm getting quite a lot of bonus from wager too so it's actually more like a difference of 10 sats for me in those swinging times!

Anyone else kinda miss seeing 10 sats per roll? I don't even want to talk about seeing 100 a few years ago only lol

Now the minimum we get is only 0.00000007 BTC and as the bitcoin prices will continue to rise, freebitco will further lower this value.
From their point of view, they are giving it free and they have the right to lower it as this faucet is never empty and I guess it is the only one left in the market.

The value of 10 sat or 7 sat is nothing but still, there are people who will continue to claim it as it is free money. Think of a new person coming to crypto and geting some first satoshi freely from freebitco, makes him feel good. Smiley

Every time someone make thread like this, i expect someone will decide to merit that user for entertainment purpose. And IMO there should be single dedicated thread for this kind of topic.

Anyway based on https://ninjastic.space/user/Shahinbd, he only make 16 posts outside "Bounties (Altcoins)" board which isn't surprising.

He does not need a merit because what he is doing (bounty hunting), he can continue doing without the need for merit. He registered in August 2019 and after almost 3.5 years, his only mission is to earn bounty tokens. I am sure he must be earning something from these bounty tokens else no one would have been so consistent without any benefit.

Name:    Shahinbd
Posts:    5767 in 1116 topics

Haha, good catch buddy. Holy smoke, almost 6k posts and no merit, lol. That's what I call bounty spam dedication. I mean why do you keep on hunting these bounties for years? 99% of the bounties offered are garbage anyway. Does it really make sense to waste your time like that?

It would be quite interesting to know what profit he made during all this campaigns. His hourly must be like 0.0000001 BTC or less, lol.

Yes, mostly there are garbage token but if you are able to work in all bounties some might pay a bit more and collectively, he may be earning something which he thinks is good enough for him.
Also, we do not know what sort of person he is, what skills he has and why he has chosen bounty hunting as a full-time work.
1329  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: February 18, 2023, 04:20:03 AM
@bitnity, as a copper member which has a signature and is able to create an image link, I think better for you make the picture on an original thread, and your last post as a clickable to make visitor easy come to your site if land on main and last page forum. For example, 1st time come to here, I have to find link tucked in the middle of a sentence.

I wiill make it easy for you to edit by code:

Yes, since the OP is a copper member, he should edit the thread and make a more attractive OP posts with graphics etc. They made need to take help from designer to develop an attractive banner for this thread.

OP should see how the other gambling ANN threads are made and make it equally eye catching. Presentation is the first thing which matters a lot in the marketing of any project.

My second question, Electurm or Blue Wallet, which one you think is better?

For me personally electrum never really worked as expected on android - it was constantly crashing at the most inconvenient places. That said, even if it worked great I think bluewallet is much, much more polished and a better user experience - and it's available on ios as well, which electrum is not.

It's really strange that electrum wallet isn't available on iOS though it is available for MAC OS. Also, they haven't released a better version for Android, don't know the reason for this ?
The popularity they have gained over the time they should have come up with best apps for both Android and iOS, but they lack in this.
1332  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: February 15, 2023, 05:28:12 PM

In this case what TrustPilot is doing here is pure injustice.
BCgame should send a notification to all its users asking them to leave a review in TrustPilot, that would even out the bots.

When i click on this trust pilot link, i got this message on top stating that fake reviews have been removed. I wonder who were sending these fake reviews and how does trust pilot recognized that the reviews are fake ones Huh

It's hard to trust any review platforms these days. The best way to know about the feedback about the gambling site is to see the comments/posts/reviews on the ANN gambling threads at bitcointalk.
1333  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will FTX make a comeback? on: February 15, 2023, 09:03:36 AM
FTX was known to be the world's second-largest crypto exchange before collapsing in late 2022. Investors were "rekt" and crypto/Blockchain tech got a lot of bad publicity. The company is now bankrupt, but SBF is trying to bring back customers' trust by "making them whole" again. If FTX pays its customers back, do you think it will rise to glory again? Or is it game over for it? I'd be surprised if FTX makes a comeback after so much disappointment from mainstream investors. If it does come back, it's going to need to change its branding just to help gather new investors into it.

What do you think about this? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

First of all, we need to understand that FTX scammed all of us and the scammers usually do not return our money. So if anyone thinks that SBF or ftx will return all this money , it is not going to happen.

The game plan by the scammers can be that they will want to re-enter in the market with a promise to again make an exchange and later return people money. I hope people do not believe thier false promises if they ever come up with such a plan to regain customers confidence and also again start collecting money from the people.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My ideals on how to promote Bitcoin in my locality on: February 15, 2023, 05:52:41 AM
There are so many ways Bitcoin can be promoted especially here in Nigeria and wold wide.
Firstly religious leaders play a very interesting roles in the life of people and are seen as role models and mentors some see them as a father figure, so what ever this set of people tell there followers that is what exactly they will all do.
With the numbers of churches and mosques that we have I know if Bitcoins is been enlightened to us through this regions then people will trust and believe in BTC, Bitcoin will surely go more far and spread wide with this ideas.
Secondly Bitcoin is better than saving in a bank because it appreciate while it is been saved in our wallets and it is also an investment, so many people complain from there day to day activities with the local banks of been debited without cause and reducing the expected savings this is not a good reputation and Bitcoin has solve this aspect of issues, with the security of wallets, hard ware and software wallets fraud is been reduced making both the old and the young to believe that they are saved from been scammed through BTC.

#Just my thoughts.
I'm not sure why you come to this ideas mate, because Churches are far from marketing and no wonder if there are churches that will let them be used for bitcoin or other altcoins ads when the truth is? let us accept the fact that till this moment ? there are only minority that trust bitcoin(as many still find this scam or other negative things inside)
but if your church or the next will allow? then yes this is a big step favoring us crypto users.

Do the churches or any other religious places allow the discussion of money related things or any other matters related to the worldly discussions ?
Most of the religious places only speak about the religion and people do not come to those places to see advices about the matters related to this physical world. So I think it is not possible to preach the usage of bitcoin in the religious churches
1335  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phishing email from Namecheap on: February 14, 2023, 07:24:32 PM
Metamask has also announced on Twitter that this is a "SCAM" metamask has never asked for KYC nor any recovery seed phrases so this is clearly a scam from the phishing email.

But it's like the original Namecheap email, will every Namecheap user receive the email? I used to be a Namecheap user but I didn't receive any emails about this hot phishing.

Have there been any reports of this loss regarding scams launched via the Namecheap support email?

Even meta mask has announced about this scam on twitter and here also, it is being told through this thread but still there will be many people fall for this phishing scam, which is sad indeed.

Usually, phishing emails comes from a fake address, but in this case, this email came from the original email which may have caused people to believe in it. Not everyone will go on the internet and search if MetaMask requires KYC or not.
1336  Other / Meta / Re: Is the post and preview shortcuts working on your PC? on: February 14, 2023, 07:09:38 PM
I've been trying for sometimes to know if the shortcuts alt+s for submit and alt+p to preview would work on my PC, but it seems useless and wouldn't make any changes. I think it's my Laptop's fault, and I'm not close to my desktop to confirm how true my instinct is about that. So, I thought about asking forum members if they have a means of achieving the shortcut key or it doesn't just work. Have you been using the shortcuts to post and preview your posts?

I am trying this and will update.

Edit: It worked, both alt+s and alt+p are working.

By the way, this is the first time i have used these shortcut after reading the OP post. Although i know these short cuts did exists but for some unknown reason never tried them before.

By the OP needs to check his laptop or browser settings, as there is nothing wrong with the shortcuts.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing Bitcoin off the radar on: February 14, 2023, 06:39:19 PM
Hello there,

As I was driving earlier, this thought came through my mind. I've been accumulating Bitcoin for quite some time now, and at some point eventually I'll have to withdraw it in fiat, at least some of it. I'm not sure when that time will come, and I'm definitely not selling for anything below $50,000, but that's another story. However, I've always kept my bitcoin away from exchanges, and I prefer that it stays that way for obvious reasons that have been discussed numerous times in the forum.

Not only do I want to avoid exchanges but also banks, which is currently the most convenient way to withdraw money, but if I were to move funds to a bank account, they'd get taxed at 24%, which is a huge percentage. I've also thought about Bitcoin ATMs, but the majority of them here require some sort of KYC and feature expensive fees, although they may still be a better option than bank transfers. Is there an actual, reliable way to exchange bitcoin for cash in hand? My best guess would be a P2P transaction in person, but that's quite unlikely.

Well, the first and most important thing is to buy and accumulate as much bitcoin as you can and keep it secure until it reaches some value on which you are willing to sell and gain profits. The thing is that you need to keep your bitcoin save and not lose them.

When you need to convert it into fiat currency, there will be many options. If you have millions of dollars worth of bitcoins, you can convert few through P2P and banks and move to a country like Dubai or any crypto friendly nation and cash out all without any issue of complication of legalization / taxation.
1338  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: February 13, 2023, 11:56:46 PM
We can not avoid the fact that one a gambler saw a new casino then the curiosity will showed up and then try that new casino if there are many new games or what are the platform and offer. If a gambler found a good and trusted casino who offered a good amount if you they win then for sure they will choose that casino. Cause every gambler has a decision to choose for his/her game.

There will be new casino coming up every now and then which may offer new feature and attractive promotions to attract the gamblers.
Usually, gamblers are tempted by the bonus and promotions offered by the new casinos and they tend to deposit at those sites.
I am not saying that we should not deposit or play at the new site but my point of view is that this can be risky as not all the gambling sites are made with good intentions. Sometimes casino owners make a site only to scam people.

Personally, i will wait for reviews from other gamblers about the site and only if there are positive sentiments about the site, I will try with a small amount of money. Maybe due to this delay, i may miss some of the early bird offers but i am satisfied that my money is not at a risk.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: February 13, 2023, 11:36:48 PM
The news might be an indicator of a decline for bitcoin and in that phase a decline will occur in the crypto market, the issues circulating give bad sentiment to bitcoin maybe we can see that some times bitcoin wants to reach 200WMA but always fails it seems we have to go through another decline to some time in 2023 pivots often take a hit to the market but isn't that a natural thing and it's good news because we can buy more bitcoins when the downturn happens the occasion when bitcoin went down to $15k in the last year a lot of people passed it and finally bitcoin rebounded again in January 2023 then if there is another drop to the price range of $ 12-$ 18k maybe I personally will not pass it.
I don't know how many FUDs or how big the FUDs spreading now. But I think Bitcoin won't drop to $12k - $18k.
The current Bitcoin price is still above $21k and it looks quite strong to stay above $21k. With the optimism of everyone that in 2024 to have Bitcoin halving, I assume Bitcoin price to survive above $20k. We already reached to bottom below $17k last year, I am sure it won't repeat this year since the market trend looks better. The whales are also unlikely to dump the price more and more because they don't want that people lose interest in Bitcoin.  Wink

Currently we see the BUSD fud Stablecoin Issuer Paxos Is Being Investigated by New York Regulatorbut market did not fall much even though BUSD is the third largest stable coin in terms of marketcap.
This shows that people are not willing to see their bitcoins now as they know that these will be worth many more in the near future.

I don't think we can see 12K in 2023 or perhaps we may never see 12K now if 15,800$ was the ultimate bottom for this bear market.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world currency market?? on: February 13, 2023, 06:32:34 PM
US dollar is the world accepted currency and can be used as a medium of exchange.  In the crypto world, Bitcoin is the most popular and the highest accepted currency with greater value. Different countries have permitted bitcoin for transaction and many of them are thinking so and will eventually do so. Its acceptance is gradually increasing day by day. Do you think bitcoin will be the leader of the world’s currency market like US dollar in the future?Huh

To tell you truth, it may take many years minimum a decade or two, for bitcoin to replace the US dollar. There are so many challenges in the crypto world that i don't think it can be a streamlined process for this shift from US dollar to digital currency.

Bitcoin volatility and governments around the world not interested in this transformation are the major hurdles, for bitcoin to become the mainstream currency around the world.
