Any coins where stevenlam has over 100K are worthless.  Ask him how many DGC he has?  I bet you not a whole lot.  Look at DGC on cryptsy.   Tongue

-tb-

He has like 12 7950's or 7970's so I'm sure he has a ton of DGC.

DGC's block reward started at 1, so, not as much as most other coins.

Holy fuck guys, these coins are worthless. You are litterally arguing over who gets to give him $$, for nothing...
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 01:16:17 AM
Anyone else notice, that noone is buying this coin?
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all these coins have low starting difficulties on: May 29, 2013, 01:13:39 AM
Because the devs are too slack to find the spot in the code to change.
False.

The genesis block creation tool is complete garbage and would take literally forever to find a genesis block of reasonable difficulty.

A little off topic, can we possible see a list of the coins your responsible for?
Part of my service is that I don't reveal that without the consent of the buyer Wink

Yeah, I thought you might say that. Well, I'm sure your making a nice profit. I wish I could program lol

I may be a dick, most times, but I can admit when I'm wrong. And this was something I was wrong about. Congrats Cheesy

Again, trying to divide by zero brother. Although, I haven't seen anyone buying this crap, this time around. Maybe progress is being made...
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strategies for protesting worthless coins on: May 29, 2013, 01:08:19 AM
The purpose of this thread is to discuss potential strategies to help people identify and oppose worthless coins.
Obviously whether or not a coin is worthless is purely subjective. This is an open thread but in the interest of deliberate discussion I suggest the following questions / format (until a better alternative is offered).

1 - COIN IDENTIFICATION
1a - What in your mind constitutes a coin being worthless
1b - What principles or best practices make a coin worth supporting
1c - Do morales play a part in your choice of coin to support / mine
1d - What do you expect from the creator(s)? i.e. is technical proficiency, reputation or post count important?

2 - Strategies for opposition
2a - What's the best method for opposing a coin that you perceive as being worthless
2b - Does posting in the coins thread ultimately help or hinder the coin - i.e. let the thread die or keep bumping it whilst trying to offer discussion

3 - SHARED PURPOSE
3a - as a community do we have a shared purpose or obligation?
3b - does supporting a coin you perceive as worthless help or hinder the community or make no difference?

DISCLAIMER

I have observed and participated in the pump and dumps since FTC/ CNC and WDC. At first my stance was the typical free market line - if people want to buy a worthless coin who am I to stop them? I still kind of feel this way, but after the most recent sexcoin release I have started to wonder what are the broader implications for the community with this trend?

If we're at the point where anyone can just release a coin, give themselves 2 million to start, elect themselves the central figure to 'distribute' these coins with almost 0 transparency before starting a sales / trade thread 2 hours after release then I feel we have a problem.

In closing, this thread is not about me or whether IM MAD BRO, but about creating a dialogue to address if we have a problem, if so how to address this problem and help the community grow and improve.

Forgot 1 question. Was Hazard paid, to create this coin?

that could go under 1d IMO. Hydoponica from the other posts of yours I've read I feel you're certainly opposed. Do you have some more in-depth strategies or opinions to share?

I just can't understanf why people waste their time. The last 4 or 5 coins, have all been the same. Someone releases a coin, which is almost an exact carbon copy, with a few minor tweaks, and a name change. Somebody with a retarded hashrate, rapes the shit out of it. The first one to create a WTS thread, sells a few to collectors, then they disapear into darkness. The next day, 2 more coins are released. And people mine them. The same people, everytime, complain about nothing but orphans....And Devs get sll upset, when you bash their coin, like they actually believe, that in a time, when coins are being released 2 or 3 a day, that their coin is going to take off, and make them rich, because their coin, is the best, because it has a cool name...
I believe the standard has been set, by DGC. It's fast, its secure. It had a launch, that prevented anyone from hoarding too much, before the diff increased. Zero premining, and very little chance for insta mining....

A better question, is, why are people mining these coins?
1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:38:43 AM

1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:37:52 AM

I read the entire god damn thread and not a word from stevelam's mouth about having a botnet. Maybe you're the one who needs to learn how to read.

here you go you blind retarded fuck

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=218737.msg2300691#msg2300691

Oh lord you seriously take that as a full blown confession to him having a botnet? He didn't even say the word botnet himself. You're reading what you want to read mate. Learn to sarcasm, he was obviously taking the piss with you - and successfully at that.

He mines a majority share of EVERY SINGLE COIN that is released. Do you have any idea how many GPU's that would take? He's from Vietnam, don't tell me, it's low ping, Vietnam is not exactly know for it's high quality, super fast, internet infrastructure. Are you retarded? Like, seriously? Have you been tested?

Hey lol look at my pic, I do the same. And yes, I do have any idea how many GPU's that takes. It's not impossible.

Do you live in the rich country of viet-fucking-nam? He obviously has started denying it, simply because half this fucking thread, goes on about how illegal it is. A retarded monkey could piece that together.
1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:36:45 AM

Wrong, yet again, you stunned fuck

My brain hurts from your stupidity. Look at my sexcoin wallet!

LOOK AT THE TIMES OMG, I MUST HAVE A BOTNET, RIGHT? OR IF I HAVE HIGH HASHRATE, SURELY I WOULD POINT IT AT BITCOIN.

You sir are beyond ignorant and stupid. Some people have nice mining rigs. Get the fuck over it.

The fact that you have that many sexcoins, does not help you retardation case. Seriously, have you been tested? And didn't you put me on ignore, like, 12 hours ago? And, hows that slander lawsuit coming?

Oh my lord you're dumb. I could provide a similar picture from when I mined SXC with my rig. It's what solo mining looks like, dumbfuck.

Oh boy, you again. Read the thread, you inbred hick

lol he has a lot of hashrate...  Jealous of his high instamining capabilities Sad
high hash-rate? lol he is in a p2pool oblivious and getting 1 coin per transaction... look at pic.. photo shot?
in any case not to critisize its seems strange lol and also usa   he got every block?  look at times

yeah, photo that I took that told you everything, I had a very slow-hashrate. Lol

Wrong, yet again, you stunned fuck
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] HyperCoin - HYC - Windows Client Included on: May 29, 2013, 12:24:31 AM
You had 25K LKY...The way LKY was setup it was impossible, to mine that much, that quick, without a botnet. And you had to stop, because Botnets are less effective, at higher diff...

Hm... Why don't coins get released at say, 5 difficulty, let everyone get setup, then drop to 0.5 difficulty or 1 difficulty after block 500 or so.  I would think that is such a fair idea, so everyone is mining when the difficulty is set to drop.  Then you can go with whatever other type of scale you want.

Fuck man, don't try to lose logic here, its like trying to divide by zero.
