1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 09, 2023, 01:45:17 PM
The reason why it is called Artificial Intelligence is because its not real. It's a man made technology.
So if we are using a man made technology for our bets/trading then we are equally capable of making those bets.
Its just that AI will make it easier for us to do all the research and analysis and I guess if used in a right way then we can get the benefits out of it.
That being said we can use AI but we need to be cautious while using it and make sure we know what we are doing.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Roller Tailing on: February 09, 2023, 12:31:21 PM
Have you guys tried tailing high rollers with their bets on sports and electronic sports?
Because today I tried doing it just for an experiment and I took a bet on 5 games even without knowledge about them. I didn't put too much money into it because like I said, it's just for a trial.
It didn't end up well and these are the results. 4 losses and 1 win.

I copied the bet of users who are mostly playing above $1000 per bet. Some 1 Ethereum and the other with 0.1BTC if I remember it right.
So I thought, these gamblers are not joking about their bets, they must have researched hard and knew who has the highest chance to win or the end result of the scores.
Question: Has anyone been successful in doing this?

I know it's not right to bet on a game without knowing about it, I am just curious if someone does this kind of strategy.

Lol, if you are gonna gamble based on others' games then you are surely gonna lose your money.
If you don't even know what you are doing with your money then how will you manage to turn it into profits.
If you want to know how the high rollers are playing then you can start analysing their bets and then you can create your strategy referring their bets and then make your bets.
This way you will be in control of your games and not them.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 09, 2023, 12:10:10 PM
Gambling has become an everyday thing for some people and this act has lead to serious addiction which is not good. When gambling we should understand that we are just playing for fun. Most people i know around always take gambling as a very serious issue and i have this particular friend that always complains to me how he has stopped gambling but from no where you still see him gambling again. Me myself am a sesonal gambler and i only gamble on the sport i know which is soccer, i think exploration of new gambling games you are familiar with also causes this repeated feeling of always quitting gambling. I just want to know if this phrase is common among everyone or its just he catch phrase whenever you experiences a big loss.

Ofcourse we have heard this phrase as it is very common in the gambling industry.
Its almost similar to people trying to quit smoking. Every other day they say its the last time they are smoking a cigarette and yet again they smoke after a few days.
Quitting gambling is equally tough because it releases dopamine which makes us feel excited when we are gambling.
This increases our addiction to gambling and makes it tough for us to quit. This is why we see many people who try to quit gambling.
1344  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 08, 2023, 04:25:21 PM
I believe we have to rely on our luck, hoping the most unexpectable of the outcomes happen for real, instead of focusing in accumulating many golden tickets, because it's simply not possible to compete against the whales. Last winner had 4870 GTs, what requires a lot of gambling activity and/or money invested for that purpose. I suppose most of us can't reach that number of tickets to stay highly competitive on the biannual draw.

My guess is that the previous winner wagered at least 24 BTC to get 4870 gold tickets. That's really too much, and I think a lot of users aren't ready to take that risk. Moreover, we have seen many times before that a user with a few lottery tickets has won the top prize in the weekly lottery. So I have no doubt that one day we will also see the lucky one who will win the Lambo with just a few golden tickets.

Yeah thats right. Having one golden ticket will make us equally eligible for the lambo as others having 4k golden tickets.
Its just that the probability of hitting the lottery will be more for the person who holds more number of tickets.
So the person who wagered 24 BTC to accumulate 4870 golden tickets knew what he was doing very well.
He was trying to accumulate as much as he can and thats not wrong.
However everyone's risk taking capability is also different which is why we should only bet what we can afford to lose.
1345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do small e-commerce businesses are scared of accepting crypto payments? on: February 08, 2023, 03:18:39 PM
As we all are aware that many big companies are accepting crypto payments. However, small online businesses do want to accept crypto payments but they are getting concerned over many things. I have seen merchants discussing this on a forum about these things. So what's your take on this guys? And if any merchant is here do share your thoughts.

The reason why many fear to invest in bitcoin is the reason why many merchants fear to accept bitcoin payments.
Legalization and regulation is the key reason why many people fear to get into bitcoin.
Price volatility, less number of customers using bitcoin payment, time delay for confirmations, knowledge required in beginning to use bitcoin etc... are few other reasons why merchants don't prefer to use bitcoin payments.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My greatest fear about Bitcoin Halving. on: February 06, 2023, 06:48:31 AM
Bitcoin halving is characterised by price boom and this is a general believe of some bitcoiners and members of this forum.
My greatest fear is; what if 2024 halving comes and go without any kind of bull run? Don't you think that there will be a serious problem and panic in the industry?
This is because 2024 halving is the greatest available hype that can move the market. Besides that, I don't see any possible wave that can move Bitcoin to a new ATH. Unless US government will have to make BTC a legal tender.

If it becomes so predictable that bitcoin price would spike up before the halving then I guess everyone would be buying right now.
I think it will change soon or may be it is changing right now. The old timers are aware of it and would have already bought their bag.
It would need some huge investment from institutional investors to start a bull trend now.
Besides that, we still have time for the bitcoin halving and may be more investors dive in by that time to invest in bitcoin.
1347  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 05, 2023, 12:55:56 PM
Besides that, when is the next lambo draw ?

Roughly 69 days 13 hours from now

They say time flies by but I never have paid any attention to such phrase but to think that October draw is already 4 months behind is something that has passed really quick and only near 69 days to the next Lambo draw makes me rethink about trying to gamble a bit more because so far I only have 10-11 GT as I have not wagered that much and also have not been lucky to win more than 2 GT from WoF during these 4 months. Not that I think anything will change from my gambling but because it just makes me feel better when I accumulate a bit more of those GT-s as you never know, each GT has an equal chance to win the draw  Shocked.
luck nobody knows even if we only have 1 GT but getting a Lambo is really luck, so it's true what you say that everyone has a chance and doesn't have to have many GT because everything is based on luck, I've never been lucky to get GT from WOF

I agree that luck plays an important role in determining who wins the lambo, but luck also favours those who take some action on their part hence one should start preparing well in advance. Furthermore WoF does gives you GT, but theres no way to determine how many one can win hence one should try and collect many WoF spins and then keep on trying their luck for collecting GT from those spins.

Yup that's right. Collecting more GT is actually a tough task.
Either we should be really lucky so that the WoF spin gives us enough GT or we should keep wagering to accumulate more GT.
I have been lucky few times to get GT through WoF spin so I don't pay much attention on the wagering side.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about fantom coin ( FTM). on: February 03, 2023, 12:11:01 PM
I was surprised to see the fantom coin, which has gone up a lot and two weeks ago it was still cheap, but now it has gone up a lot.
I want to ask whether the ftm coin will have the potential to continue to rise?
And what's with the ftm coins that keep going up in price? I want to hear an explanation from you?

I hear a lot of good things when it comes to fantom coin. There are no haters who have said fantom is not a good coin.
I had bought some of it and then sold it again since I needed some money.
May be I will buy it again future but I dont consider the current price has increased a lot. It has surely had some spike.
But I still think its a good time to buy it knowing the ATH is still far from here.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your earliest Gambling Story? on: February 03, 2023, 12:04:21 PM
I'll tell you mine. I was 16 on a Royal Caribbean cruise with my parents. I took $10 from dads wallet and went out on the town  Wink I stopped into the casino on deck, worked that $10 in to a $20 in the coin machine. Then I went to the roulette table and doubled my money 3 times and got up to $160, then I bet it all on black and lost it all! Or wait, was it red? Oh I don't remember hahah. They did come around and bring me plenty of drinks. Luckily I looked old enough to be in there, was even 6 feet tall back then, athletic, football player. I made the cut. Fun times! Learned a very valuable lesson there though. This is why I don't gamble. What's a good gambling story that you'd like to share? Hit the comments section! Thanks guys.

Cheers,

TREAD

At least you got the drinks  Wink

I haven't really visited a physical casino yet but I do plan to visit one to get the feel of it.
I do online gambling and I don't even remember how I started it. I guess it was on freebitco.in where I earned some free sats and played multiply BTC high low game.
Then I started playing crash game on one of the most popular crash game site back then.
I don't remember the name now but I gambled a lot on the crash games. Thats how it all began.
1350  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 03, 2023, 11:51:14 AM
Yeah right, if only this surge in price could have happened few days ago then I would have won the bet, LOL.

Also, the base rewards for free roll on freebitco.in has now decreased by 1 satoshi due to the surge in bitcoin price.
Current base reward is 8 satoshis.

I am not completely sure what you write is true, because I think that base reward depends on personal stats, if you use it a lot, without wagering, betting or playing multiply game, it will decrease. You may take a look at "% achieved...." to see how it changes when you roll or bet.

It's true:

Quote
Play MULTIPLY BTC, BET ON EVENTS or buy lottery tickets to increase your FREE BTC rewards by up to +0.00000171 BTC

So by wagering, you can increase the base reward, but even if you don't do any wagering you can claim the base reward every hour. We had a little discussion a few pages back: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg61675848#msg61675848. As you can see as the price of Bitcoin is higher the base reward is lower, and vice versa.

The question is will it rise enough to affect WoF spin prizes? I have 996 free spins waiting, I am not sure if should I spin them while the prizes are max 50... I planned to wait for the next Lambo draw.

I personally think that the price of bitcoin might increase further in the next few weeks.
If that happens then it would be better to spin the WoF spins now.
Besides that, when is the next lambo draw ? If there's not much time then you can probably wait for a few days.
Also, will it matter that much if you spin it now while the base reward is better ?
1351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: February 03, 2023, 08:17:31 AM

Well said mate. I personally think it's the time to monitor the market closely and wait for opportunities to buy/sell the coins.
Looking at the charts I think we will see a correction in the next few days followed by a good spike in the prices.
If that happens then I guess it will be a good time to place our buy orders when the market recovers from the correction.

have you noticed that the OP is just promoting his trading signal group/site? he cited the site at his last statement. they have full access membership up until $2400. so people should really be careful in subscribing such signal group as we all know most are just getting rekt by being a member of this. i would suggest to learn your trading on your own and learn those trading tips. but if you want to try their services, check their free trial offering.

Oh well, my mistake, I didn't notice that OP was from a trading signals group.
I guess he might have edited his post since I am unable to see the membership fee of $2400 related part in his post.
I do see that he is promoting his site cryptocartel but I won't buy it.
I never go for signals as I prefer trading on my own which improves our skills and gives us the knowledge we need to survive in the long run.
Those who buy these signals are generally lazy and run behind profits which eventually they don't get because signals in crypto are never accurate.
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin with Tiffin money of my college life. on: February 02, 2023, 12:42:52 PM
snip

I am very happy to buy Bitcoin for the first time in my life. My dream from my school life was that I would invest in Bitcoin in the future and started saving money from my school life. I saved some money from the many tiffins and various tuitions I earned during my college life and finally invested in Bitcoin. And I have fulfilled my past dream today by investing in Bitcoin.
Right now I Buy BTC0.00688 BTC which is some amount of $163 when converted to USDT.
I have invested as much as I can in this current market in Bitcoin. and I hope to save more money and invest in Bitcoin in the future.[/size]

I wonder how much time it took for you to collect that amount. If I had invested this amount back when I was in college then I would have got great profits by now.
It's good that you are trying your best to get started with bitcoin but I will recommend you to start learning more about bitcoin and trading.
Learning to trade will help you to avoid making mistakes that can lead you to potential losses.
Start learning more about finance and management so that you can increase your portfolio over the years.
1353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin now so you don't have to regret it later. on: February 02, 2023, 12:36:30 PM
I was fortunate enough to learn about Bitcoin before it became so popular. Similarly, I'm one of the idiots who saw this as a huge opportunity to make money, didn't think twice about it, and let it pass them by.
Back in 2014, I started my first full-time job online on Fiverr, and I had a couple of friends who were passionate about Blockchain and Bitcoin. It didn't take long for me to make a friend named Michael. We talked a lot about programming and new technology like IoT and AI most of the time. We used to play video games together most of the time when I visited him.

One day, after finishing the game, I took his phone to call my girlfriend, and then I noticed something on his phone. It appears to be
1BvBMSEZstWetqSFy5Au4m4GFg7xJaHVG6.

I noticed that he wanted to send it to someone. I was like, what kind of nonsense is this? He said it wasn't gibberish, then he explained everything I needed to know about Bitcoin addresses and blockchains, and his enthusiasm for the subject captivated my attention so much that I didn't want him to stop talking. But then I recall most of the Ponzi schemes that I fell prey to in the past.
The more he talked about it, the more Bitcoin appeared to be the better option for me. It was worth a shot.
One of the biggest issues I had that year, and it was the worst year of my life, was that I was very poor, and I didn't have extra money to gamble on something I don't know about. As a result, I concluded that I can't gambling on this.

I'm furious at myself for not purchasing bitcoin sooner. Though I'm a happy man now because I can now smile at my wallet.

Invest now, so you will not regret it later.

I have a similar story because I started my crypto journey back in 2015. I have seen bitcoin trading around $250 but I was too young and broke back then.
I didn't had a job and hence no money to invest. Started with faucets, cloud mining etc... and gradually started gaining knowledge on crypto.
I don't have a huge portfolio but still I am happy with what I have for I know it's value will be good in the future.
Crypto is here to stay and this is just the beginning.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: February 02, 2023, 11:00:45 AM
Is PvP gaming a thing?
Is it fun to compete against strangers for money? Does it provide the same level of comfort and convenience as casino games?
I mean, I've seen couple of threads here about some decent PvP games, but I'm not sure if people really do prefer this sort of gaming, specially in terms of the fun and the ROI.

If you are familiar with the PvP gambling topic, which of the following would you pick if you had $10$100 and felt like gambling?

1. Casino A:
Normal casino where players play Slot games, BlackJack, Rollet, baccarat, Crazy, and the rest of casino games with the chance of winning large chunk of money.

2. Casino B:
PvP casino where players compete against each others in games such as Poker, Rummy, Ludo, 8Pool, Monopoly, Race Cars, Flipcoin, etc..., with the prize being your opponents buy-in amounts.

If you don't want to express your thoughts, simply answer with A or B.

If I were in this situation then I would choose option B because I like competing with other players.
It doesn't really matter much if you are playing with a stranger. Although it would be more fun while playing with friends but we do get fun when we compete against a real person.
Winning against a real person gives a satisfaction which we don't get from competing against a casino.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: February 02, 2023, 10:38:35 AM
I have seen few power slap fights on Instagram and Youtube and man I get goosebumps while watching it.
People getting knocked out is what scares me as it can damage your brain or create other physical damages to your face.
I wonder why are they playing such a dangerous "sport". Betting on it is really crazy in my perspective since one's life is at stake.

Place bets on the BTC and ETH price betting. Although I am gonna one of the bets but eventually it's gonna be an overall loss.
If only I had not bet on ETH this time then I would have been in profit. No worries though.

BTC price betting

ETH price betting

sometimes luck can also be on the side of predictions not only playing gambling, I think if crypto prices can quickly recover maybe your bet on ETH will not be in vain, because seeing ETH prices rising so fast compared to other cryptos, to be honest I have never bet on price predictions like this even though I can analyze crypto prices, because prices can change at any time due to bad news or something else, but I hope you are lucky

ETH was around $1550 yesterday while writing the post and for it to go above $1750 it should have increased by 15% at least.
Now that's a huge spike to be achieved in just one day. Although not impossible but still very tough.
Anyway, I have lost the bet since ETH was in the range of $1500 - $1750 at the time of snapshot.
But no worries as we still have a long way to go and I might recover the losses in the February price prediction bets.
Did you see the rise in crypto today has increased enough even the price of ETH has risen 8% today, I think your prediction is right, no one knows about luck well even though there is still a lot of time, but I am happy to see the price of crypto go up today  Wink

Yeah right, if only this surge in price could have happened few days ago then I would have won the bet, LOL.

Also, the base rewards for free roll on freebitco.in has now decreased by 1 satoshi due to the surge in bitcoin price.

1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So far so good with Bitcoin adoption on my side but I have question on: February 01, 2023, 03:46:03 PM
I wish there is a way that I can show families on here how successful I have bring numbers of people into Bitcoin between 2021 - 2023, it's been so great and I am very happy about it, I have fresh newbies at hand right now,  two of them are from the same university 🎓, I have spent 6 weeks with them teaching and answering questions about Bitcoin and wallets, now they decide to purchase their first set of Bitcoin.

Here is where I am confused, the present value of Bitcoin is growing, some said it's because of the Chinese New year Holiday aka Year of the Rabbit, since I got mine at 17,000 and 15,000 I feel it's wrong to tell these newbies to buy at 23,000$

Have I done the right thing by telling them to wait for some correction before buying or you famz have a better idea? Because right now I don't see anything thing better than to wait, double bottom is always possible with Bitcoin in bear markets.

You are doing a great thing by spreading the word about bitcoin and it's tech but I guess instead of telling them to buy at this price you can educate them more.
You can educate them to trade and teach them the basics about it. After that it will be their call whether they should go ahead or not.
This will take you on a safer side and nobody can blame you for their mistakes while preaching you for your teachings.

Tell me something new, LOL. Mainstream media is an attention seeker and crypto has a lot of attention in the market  Cool .
When the media doesn't have anything new to talk about, they find out something related to crypto and brings it into limelight.
We all know the amount of scams related to crypto. There's always something happening in crypto.
This is why the media can't get enough of it and keeps talking trash about it.
1359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: February 01, 2023, 03:28:42 PM
It's true that despite the negative reputation that crypto assets have, they have been performing well in the beginning of 2023. Bitcoin, as an indicator of the overall crypto market, has risen 27% since the start of the year, while the S&P 500 has only risen 2.6% and gold has risen 5.4%. However, it's important to remember that the crypto market is still in a bear market and the bottom has not been reached yet. The editor of Daily, Teeka Tiwari, is a long-term bull on crypto but he advises caution and patience in the current market. He believes that there are several negative factors that need to be worked through before the long-term rally can restart.
It's important to be aware of these negative stories and to not let the bear market trap you.
It's also worth noting that the crypto market is still relatively small, so it's not necessary to make large investments to see significant returns as the market improves. It's recommended to be cautious and to focus on incredible buying opportunities when they arise. Despite the current market conditions, the future of crypto remains promising, with institutions like Fidelity launching new bitcoin products and more favorable regulations in countries like Brazil. Over the long-term, the outlook for crypto is positive.
