1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SBF, arrested! on: December 13, 2022, 08:46:25 AM
They could not recover the funds because, as the investigation states, it was hacked, right? No more funds remain in the system, which will be a hassle for everyone. It will not be able to recover the funds, but somehow it will make a "good" feeling for those affected by the FTX. The void left in the heart isn't going to be enough for sure.

At least they are doing the right thing to get to the bottom and do something about what happened.
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin project a failure after all ? on: December 12, 2022, 03:25:35 PM
You do know that the paper that satoshi wrote it stated that

Quote from: www.bitcoin.org
What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust, allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted third party.

That's already been done, and that objective was obtained years ago. How is that a failure?
1343  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Watch out for this NEW TransferFrom Zero Transfer Scam! on: December 12, 2022, 03:08:21 AM
What's important to see in this situation is that you don't need to panic if you have correctly made sure that your private keys are safe and you know that you haven't installed anything malicious on your device etc., you should be safe. Something that could go wrong here is that you need to check the transferring address thoroughly.

The part where the user "thinks" that their wallet is compromised is when the attacker grabs the opportunity to steal/rob the user from redownloading.
1344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: App for crypto indicators on: December 11, 2022, 05:10:26 PM
What do you mean you cannot find any apps for indicators? Have you tried the primary tool for traders that are using it? Like TradingView and such?

If you are just out here trying to promote your app, you should post it in services with an announcement thread and then link it here so we can check. I hope you do well with this.

If also, you are interested in a trading bot, you should try Gunbot. It's a tool that could let you trade 24/7. Pretty soon, there will be an excellent promo for the Christmas season.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport Event Can Increase Our Money By Placing A Bet on: December 11, 2022, 05:15:18 AM
Predicting the game now is hard. I made the right decision in Croatia vs. Brazil, which I mentioned here a few days ago

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5392720.msg61412816#msg61412816

Knowing that they have a great defense and a lot of draws, I bet on it to see if it has come out well. It has, and it was a good prediction, and I'm happy about it. I don't gamble much, but I dabble with it occasionally.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first sponsored Bitcoin seminar on: December 10, 2022, 05:03:47 PM
Good job on the work, OP! You are doing a wonderful thing, and you have great objectives. Please update the OP as well with all your plans. Let's suggest what you can do and how to improve. Or if you need help with anything.

What's the best experience that you had doing this, OP? Or the reaction of your attendees?
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 08, 2022, 03:47:55 PM
As for Brazil and Croatia, there is no doubt for me in choosing Brazil. Chances are still big for them. With several young players who have very good quality and with their complex squad, both the core and reserve squad, this is clearly a real advantage for Brazil. Croatia is indeed a good team too but looking at their current condition it seems that this is still far enough to put up a fight and they can only maximize their focus on defense.
Croatia is looking strong. They might not be able to win, but maybe there's a chance for a tie. Croatia have the defense at hand with the matches that they had, they have the most draw. So I think if they are to be tough and full effort in their defense, they would definitely have that shot on a Draw. I just think that they are capable of doing that. It would be a battle of Offense vs. Defense. Looking forward to the match.
1348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 08, 2022, 12:17:24 PM
You are trying to answer why that's happening to them, and probably there's an easier way to deal with it: Don't think about it. Unless you are affected by it directly, or you are talking to yourself or referring to yourself in the third person, and you are the one who is trading and still manages to not profit at all in trading. Imagine blaming the heritage for yourself instead of doing something that would help you in the long run; that's sad.

There isn't a connection with the inheritance of poverty. Still, the attitude surrounding the person affects it, IMO The definition and the understanding of why it is what it is is just plain sadness. It will take a lot of work to act on and change.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading Crypto With a Job.. on: December 07, 2022, 11:58:30 PM
I have been doing it for a while now, and I have been using a trading bot, Gunbot. It has been really easy to trade because of it, and the management with money is easy, because it can be traded with a percentage of your capital on your portfolio.

You wouldn’t have to be always in front of the computer because it will just read for you as long as you have set it up correctly and then waiting for the market to move the corresponding movements.

If you are interested, this is the link: https://gunbot.ph
1350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 07, 2022, 03:36:20 PM
My opinion on this is that bitcoin will never be the only crypto because there will be a lot of people trying to create and replicate something similar to bitcoin. But let’s say it has become to the point that it is the only one. It would be a stable and more reliable medium of exchange for everyone. This is also assuming that everyone in the world adopts it.

I think it would be great if it becomes like that because that is what it is designed for. Not as an investment tool but rather as currency, just like what the other members have said.

You’re a definition of bitcoin is definitely not what it should be.
1351  Economy / Economics / Re: Is long-term employee retention a losing battle? on: December 06, 2022, 07:58:45 AM
Depending on your industry, you will encounter this problem when you offer so much, and there needs to be considered employee benefits that could be worth working for. What do you think would happen if someone found a better-paying company?

Maybe there are reasons for them to stay, but it's most likely a thing where the employee is benefitting from them. Hopefully, it's going to be for the good of everything.
1352  Economy / Economics / Re: Share Your Best Money Advice Based on Personal Experience on: December 05, 2022, 04:46:52 PM
One of the best things that you could do is to build a credit score with bank so that you could borrow a lot of money whenever you need it. Building a credit score would be beneficial if you are interested in borrowing money from the banks and then making sure that you pay it every time and use it, wisely that you could earn more from it.

Another thing is when you try and use credit cards, make sure that you’re gonna pay it in full every cut-off and statement.
1353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 05, 2022, 04:43:42 PM
Anything in it for itself, not being able to spend an investment is really a gift, because it means that extra money for you that you wouldn’t be needing to live. Most of the time, people are not able to hold their investments because they need the money. And I think that’s also one of the reasons where people cash out.

I think there is also a factor with luck because it’s not everything that the hold would be of value in the long-term. Not everything rises in price. It’s best to be managing your money.

1355  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for random number generator based on blockchain on: December 05, 2022, 01:43:01 AM
Why not use the numbers or letters generated on a particular block? Like get the end of that and based on it or something.

Like block number X, let's say 766000. Get the hash of that, like 00000-42787 or something, then that's it.

The winning number would be 7. Or if you are choosing 00 - 99, it would be 87, something to that regard. Maybe this could help without generating anything like a program of some sort.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs Cannot Save Weak Currencies on: December 04, 2022, 04:45:44 PM
I think if the ones that would establish the CBDC’s are the same ones who made the weak currency weak, then you could probably expect the same thing. If the people who are in charge of it are the ones who are trying to find a way to save the currency and made that way, that’s definitely going to have the same fate.

Rolling things out like that, just because it’s a new technology and not understanding how the actual economy works would be the fundamental problem that they need to solve. I just hope that can save it, but I doubt it.
1357  Other / Archival / Re: online lottery games on: December 04, 2022, 03:05:43 PM
It’s a type of lottery, but with your preferred arrangement? I haven’t heard of togel ever it’s just here that I read this, but if it is a type of lottery, then it’s obvious that it’s still a lot game and just you need to get the right numbers right?

I don’t get the dead and dead Magic. What is that for?
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 03, 2022, 12:43:09 PM
The following projects that will be in are probably something with web 3.0 and how it affects our daily lives. It's going to be an activity where you will be able to integrate it quickly, and people who are into that could benefit a lot more or something related.

Mostly, people are interested in a couple of things.
  • Investing in something that could potentially profit
  • Getting part because they feel it's something that would make them valuable to the economy
  • It's just damn useful

Those, I think, are the properties that could make a project valuable to people and make it mainstream.

1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 02, 2022, 06:31:42 AM
Now that I think about it, it's definitely going to be a problem that you can have that kind of "relief" in your mind that you could play with essentially 0 dollars and have someone, in this case, the bank that issues the credit card, to pay for your behalf. It's a trap in it for itself. It's going to be a problem in the long run knowing that it's easily accessible. I believe it's right that not accepting that method would be ideal already.

It's going to be hard to break that cycle TBH.
