If it is lower, it is even worse. The thing is that there is a cap on the max win, which is 20 BTC, so even an infinite bankroll wouldn't help you much. If we take UserU's sequence as an example, after losing 16 BTC with your last bet, or 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 = 31 BTC in total you have no chances of getting it back with your next bet, because you can't bet 32 BTC with 47.50% win chance. What you can do is to bet 32 BTC with 57.58% win chance (1.65x payout), an win 20 BTC back in the best case scenario, but that's not what players usually expect from martingale. You can still use multiple accounts to bypass that limitation. I don't know if it is against the rules but I don't think TheQuin would complain about it anyway. If you are down more than 30+ btc though, bypassing that limitation is probably make things worse for you. That limitation is there for your own good. Multiple accounts wouldn't make any difference. You still have to break the loss down into smaller amounts whether you do it in the same account or not. |

There's no problem with using a dicebot. Multi-accounting to make extra free rolls and self-referring are the only things that get people in trouble.

I haven't saw any post about it, but I just noticed that someone won No. 1 prize on Freebitco.in with just 2 lottery tickets - it's 0.28655484 BTC or more than $2400. This guy must be really lucky. We all saw people winning in Freebitco.in lotter with very few tickets, but it's probably first player who won 1st prize with just 2 tickets.
On the other hand, No.3 winner won 0.07 BTC when he had over 11 million tickets. Considering that ticket costs 1 Satoshi, he spent more than he won (unless he received tickets from gambling activities).

The smart way would be to expand the arsenal of sports betting so that you can combine events, have a greater selection kinds of sport and so on.
We are working on that but we don't have the staff to put so many bets up at the moment. We looking at integrating a fixed-odds betting feed so it can be automated. These 1000 satoshi will return the player not for long, if the person left when realized that there was nothing to do, he would not be interested in returning to the old site with the old functionality.
We have been doing this for a long time now and it has been very successful. We can obviously track the users we sent the email to and see what they did next. We wouldn't still be doing it 2 years later if it didn't work.

But, for example, someone would have to be a complete moron to deposit $100 in each account to play without captcha because they would be bound to get caught long before all their accounts had made more than $100 from the faucet so they could withdraw.

High roller is just a phrase I use to describe someone who gambles a lot. There are all sorts of perks like being able to redeem the higher RP bonuses, not getting a reduced base reward, playing without captcha etc. They are all calculated from your balance and wagered amount versus how much we have given you for free. The balance part of the calculations is capped so it doesn't disadvantage old accounts that won a lot for free when Bitcoin was cheaper. As with all things like this where free money is being given away there will be thieves trying to exploit it through multi-accounting. You're right, captcha is a very small part of the defences. Without it abuse would be so easy everyone would try it but it doesn't stop the determined thief. Kprawn was on the right lines. Manually reviewing withdrawal requests is the most effective way of combatting abuse. |
