That only deals with part of the issue. All WoF spins have been heavily overpaying for many months, not just the new RP Bonus WoF spins.

But the thing that I find strange is the changing of the actual fundamentals, the odds for the prizes. If it's true that the actual odds have changed, then spinning is obviously not as much fun as before. As an example, a few days ago, I did about 120 spins, and every single result was the same prize, either the lowest sats, or the lowest lott or the lowest RP prize. I can't say that spinning the wheel is very exciting when every result was the same.
I have zero issues with prize values decreasing or increasing in proportion to the value of BTC, but if the odds and fundamentals have been changed, then that is the only thing that I find to be strange, because those wouldn't be the same odds that were in effect when I bought the extra spins via the premium membership.

We stopped doing because too many people abused it but we came up with another way of letting non-premium members try before they buy. As I have already pointed at least 3 times we have only put the EV of WoF back to where it was when it started. IIRC BTC was roughly $20k at the time. So you're telling me that lowering the chance of winning big prizes in WOF just after a few days of adding WOF bonuses is a coincidence , ok I believe it. No. I'm not telling you that. These things are all interrelated. The increase in BTC price made RP bonus unsustainable. We took the opportunity to promote premium WoF via a new RP WoF bonus. WoF needed to be realigned back to its original EV at some point anyway but this just sped up the process a little.

maybe they are fixing some bugs in the site. i tried checking my personal stats and nothing is showing. but very unlikely that they will pull something not good here. give them time to fix their issues. this has been generous to a lot of users for years, so don't think they will get out of the scene. a lil bit of patience is needed.
When you see that most of the site is working but some information is unavailable it indicates that the server holding that information is off-line. That's usually due to an infrastructure issue at the hosting facility. I'll update you when I have more information. Withdrawals are going out but there are a number of unconfirmed transactions due to the spike in fees that nearly always happens at ATHs.

Just like you, and I think this is a natural thing because a business would expect returns to cover all their business expenses and to keep them a live, I decided to stop to activate the RP Bonus, because according to my calculations will only get good returns if able to spin more than 20x that means it will reduce our sleep time so it really doesn't make sense.

Provably fair means you can verify the results of your spins. We never said that free payouts are of a fixed value. There are better ways to be more cost effective.

I don't really get what you are saying. We give a kickback of 1 RP for every 500 Sats you wager. The ability to encash 100,000 RP for Bitcoin was always intended to be for gamblers and people who introduce a large number of referrals. With the new odds it becomes virtually impossible to break even unless you actually end up winning the lottery or a lambo with your tickets. If you somehow manage to make 24 claims in a day to get 120 spins you will only be expected to earn a combined 3342 RP & sats while the cost to activate the bonus is 3600 RP.
The breakeven point on the reward Points we gave you for free is 0. With these adjustments it also makes it much less appealing to become a premium member. With FUN token hitting new lows against BTC since it was introduced to the site and the WOF prizes constantly decreasing, the vast majority of long term investors might end up losing more BTC than they earn.
We do have one overriding rule that we have no choice but to obey. The amount we give away in free rolls, lottery tickets, reward points and WoF spins can't exceed the income from gambling. When it starts to consistently do that we have to make adjustments. Would you prefer we just left payouts where they are until we go bankrupt and all our customers lose everything? |

I just checked, the 1 WOF SPIN / ROLL bonus now costs 720 RP. Does the price of the bonus depend on the bitcoin price, so it has become more expensive, or has Freebitco.in raised the price to reduce the profitability of this boost?
We might have made them a little bit too cheap for the first couple of days. When we add something new there's a bit of guesswork in how popular it will be and therefore what the daily budget will be.

The MULTIPLY BTC bonus works in the following manner:

Not my business to suggest which would be the best choice but purely on ease of implementation I would have thought just spreading out the spins would achieve the same effect for sats per hour available vs current price etc. So this could be done in a regular fashion or random with a range of possibilities. I guess that means using a daily or 12hr price take, but random faucet roll could appear available somewhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours. Its upto people if they wanted to check back if its appeared sooner or later but it would always be waiting available after the max time had expired just like it does now
That was an option we seriously considered but the free roll being available after an hour is a big part of what makes the site tick. It gets people coming back regularly.
