1381  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin on $1000, how do you celebrate? on: November 28, 2013, 02:24:02 PM
By donating a casascuis coin to a selective few to inspire and get them excited about bitcoin and what it means.

If I can spread the virus to one or two people, they most certainly will infect their inner circle.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you look over these parts before I buy them? on: November 28, 2013, 01:56:56 PM
should work good.... make sure they are out in the open,   or build an open air case

He'll need a new motherboard to support 4 GPUs.  Those bump in price.

To my knowledge, the linked motherboard can support 5 GPUs

How does that make sense when it only has 3 PCIe x16 slots? And you have 4 GPUs that take up 2 slots per GPU. It's just not gonna work.
1383  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So I'm new, looking to get better numbers on: November 28, 2013, 06:47:56 AM
This page has some configurations to try: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison. When I was mining with my GPU, I used cgminer and I found that the default settings for cgminer worked the best.

BTW, I hope you realize that the bitcoins you mine will not be enough to pay for the electricity (assuming you are paying normal rates for electricity).

What about LTC mining? Isn't that still ROI-positive and lucrative?

I bought a pack of everything and omg it was amazing. The salt and chocolate were my favorite. But they all were delicious. Freshness makes a huge difference.
1388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy BTC1K day! on: November 28, 2013, 12:04:11 AM
The big K. That's what everyone's been building up to see. Obviously. That's why it was a safe bet to buy back before we hit the milestone.
1389  Other / Meta / Where's the +1 button? on: November 28, 2013, 12:01:54 AM
There should be a "Up" or "+1" button for each post. vB has such feature. Perhaps SMF does too? Would be cool. Don't think anyone wants to put in the effort to make that happen though.  Undecided

Now thats a good macro shot.  How about one just like that of the back?  So one can confirm it's the same coin (front & back). Smiley

I find it incredibly hilarious that some people are so sure that BTC is 100% guaranteed to go up in value.  This is "bubble think"... the belief that crazy markets are real and normal.

I am a believer in BTC and think it will increase in value over an extended period of time.  But this past month's price increase is irrational and nothing more than a bubble that will pop soon.

It'll fizzle out and then gradually grow. It may not grow $50-100 per day anymore, but maybe per week or month. And that ain't bad. it still beats money sitting in my bank account.

I love the notion that my money lives inside the internet. It sound so mystical to the oldies.  It's that badass!
1393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin will hit the $1000USD mark before the day ends! on: November 27, 2013, 09:47:11 PM
Wait it's not at 10k yet? Wake me up then.
1394  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: MUST SELL - KnCMiner November Saturn + Two 2014 Neptune pre-orders - 60 BTC on: November 27, 2013, 08:57:48 PM
I posted on eBay: http://r.ebay.com/XRqUxQ

If you are reading this you probably know what you are doing.  If you are interested and have the BTC please contact me and we can discuss the price.  I am asking for 60 BTC and cannot deviate much, but we can discuss what you get in return.  Thank you for your consideration.

Quick! Someone grab a frozen salmon and smack me across the face with it!!

Wtf? They say it ships in Q1/Q2 2014. That means it will ship around March. Is this thing
Even worth it? I don't see any possible ROI on this. It can
Buy 10BTC now for $10k and in 3 months that will likely be worth around 20-40$k. All this by the time this ships. I don't see it. I just don't see it.

I'm not a genius but I get the notion that the real winners mining were the guys that mined from 0 to 10m coins. Anything after isn't worth it. At that point more profit is in buying the currency.  Does anyone else think the same?

And you're sure BTC will be $2000-4000 in March?  It could be back to $130 then that $10,000 investment you've made looks even more foolish than buying a Neptune for 10 BTC now.

Doubt it.  If gold can value up to $2K, then BTC most certainly can. You can split BTC into satoshis. Something you can't do with physical materials. Furthermore it takes time to move physical goods. In this world we move bits in milliseconds around the globe.  This is something the world has never witnessed before and I think we'll continue to be blown away going forward.

I will never bought mining equipment nor ever will. Instead I will invest my USD capital in the companies that sell this stuff to you.  I would only consider mining if I had it vertically integrated and someone that knows their shit in charge.

1398  Other / Off-topic / Re: Linus Torvalds or Satoshi Nakamoto? on: November 27, 2013, 04:29:45 PM
Whoever satoshi is, it may not be one man. Some Russian had to be involved here. C'mon now. They know they can't top te USD with their currency, so let's advocate a universal one that
Everyone will accept, ergo crush the USD. Kind of an 'if I don't win, no one wins.'

But who knows. There is so much speculation. Rumors. This and that. I love it. The mystery fuels the excitement. Just think how lame thing would be if we all knew who satoshi was? Game over.

Not to mention all the unwanted pestering he would get from the press. No one wants that. Trust me. Keep it stealthy. There are some guns out their scrambling to get a lock on you. Fuck them.
1399  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite car? on: November 27, 2013, 03:12:07 PM
I used to have nice toys once.  No one respects them. You'd need to entrench yourself in a special community and build walls around you.

Bought a really nice car right out of high school.  Someone intentionally slammed into it on the first day.  Learned the true meaning of 'haters'.
1400  Other / Off-topic / Re: Linus Torvalds or Satoshi Nakamoto? on: November 27, 2013, 03:08:17 PM
Linus is too old.  Satoshi I assume was in his 20s.  These type of things are created during the peak of one's life.
