What a game by Robert Bolick, scoring a new career high of 44 points and leading NorthPort to a come from behind win.

Personally i thought that it was money in the bag for the boys of coach Norman Black as they lead all the way and they still lead by 8 points in the last 3 minutes and NorthPort's import was having a cramps but Berto rises to the occasion, scoring at will and brought the game into overtime.

I just wonder what was the odds when the Bolts was up by 11 points early in the fourth quarter.

After a long wait, finally, we could now our beloved "Angas ng Pinas" fighting back as he said he will be fighting Ryo Akaho on December 3,2022 in Japan but no confirmation yet from the promoter but I think he can be trusted on this one. So, it's official that he will be moving up in weight as they will be fighting at the super bantamweight division and I think Inoue will be watching this one as it will happen in his country.

1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 29, 2022, 12:15:18 PM
And besides, I can only speculate that they have seen the weight issue already and did try to compensate and losing those extra baggage by doing lots of drills resulting to another factor that affected his performance.

Trying to lose weight hours before a fight is really an agonizing task and that might result in hurting yourself that is why I'm inclined to believe that the weight issue was the biggest factor why he loses the first fight aside from the fact that Martinez was a replacement fighter.

Just take a look at how Shakur handled that weight issue, he never minds losing the belt rather than hurting himself to shed those excess pounds during the weigh-in, might be a good idea because he performed really well but we can only speculate that if he decided to make the weight he might have lost the fight.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 28, 2022, 09:54:29 PM
Overtraining? I don't think it's a big issue though, I guess the real problem is the weight issue because boxers know if they are undertrained or overtrained. Anyway, it's already over, this rematch, we will see how Ancajas will make the right adjustments.

I would agree that there might be a weight issue in the first encounter that contributed to Ancajas' loss but let us also give credit to Martinez as he really performed very well that night that he captured that unexpected belt that he has now.

For sure Ancajas already knew what adjustments to make on this rematch and I just hope that this time he will be more focused and forget momentarily that he lost to this guy once.

Less than 10 days before this fight but still, my favorite bookies have not put the betting odds yet on their site, will come back three days before the fight as that's the usual time they put odds on unpopular boxers.

ROS did bounce back hard with a big win, I like what they did, they look inspired this season, probably because they have their old coach back again and for sure coach Yeng is very serious in trying to win another championship again, but the question is, can they stay consistent?
That is one factor that Yeng is back. I'm not expecting that the lead would that be much for ROS and it's Ginebra that's likely to win in what I have thought but it's the opposite.
Consistency is no question for Coach Yeng but that question should go for his players. Sometimes that motivation that's coming from him isn't really motivating the ego of his players but a few of them might take it personally even if they're professionals.

This is coach Yeng's second game as a coach of ROS, on the first game they lost to NLEX so I could say that Ginebra just came out flat on their first game this conference and maybe some of their players are not that 100 percent fit, I mean "basketball fit" so that contributed also to the loss of the Kings and to be fair with ROS, they played balanced offense which is a patented coach Yeng's system.

That's the beauty of betting for the underdog this early in the conference because strong teams can afford to drop a single game or two but let's expect Brownlee and Ginebra to bounce back just like last year.

Marame nga nagsasabe na mas volatile ang Forex though hinde ko pa nasubukan maglive trading with forex since nagtry lang ako with broker account or yung trial account nila and sa una palang medyo nahirapan na talaga ako. With regards to cryptomarket naman, same lang risky pero kase dito mas malaki yung chance mo to make money since maraming option para kumita.

PBA really making a huge noise a lot of drama to gather attentions maybe they are trying anything to gain those interests from the viewers. They are following the saying that even negative publicity is still a publicity, hahaha Grin Roll Eyes kidding aside, My personal take on that note is very possible, PBA is controlled by SMC and MVP they can simply request for that schedule to see how the visiting team play and scout them to make sure that they are well prepared before they met.

If this issue will be proven, surely the interest of those possible additional visiting teams will be lesser. They might not take that effort to join with the league that fully manipulated.

Manipulating the game schedules is too much and i don't think they did that because as per observation, it is usually the teams that exited early on the last conferences will have to play a game or two before the teams that have played on the semi-finals and finals of that conference, might be a sort of favor for them to extend their rest period.

Tomorrow, Ginebra will be playing against ROS, let us see if the arena will be filled.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: September 25, 2022, 11:56:47 AM
If you look at the previous fight, Haney prioritizes distance more and he is not in a hurry in carrying out his strategy. We can see when he attacks and is about to be countered by Kambosos he immediately keeps a safe distance and always starts from the beginning. On the other hand, Kambosos has been carried away to Haney's battle scheme which makes him unable to avoid and ultimately loses in absolute terms.

The moment Haney dictates the tempo of the fight, Kambosos already lost the match.  So this coming match, Kambosos shouldn't let Haney dictates the pacing of the fight.  Kambosos must come up with some strategy that will make him nullify Haney's attempt to dictate the tempo.

I could say that Kambosos needs tons of adjustment if we want to reclaim his belts. Styles make a fight and it seems to me that Haney's style is not suited for a slugger like Kambosos, the latter is a bit slow for Haney. The first fight is not even close so for me and changing one's boxing style can't happen overnight so for me this exercising of the rematch clause is just for the money, result will be the same (just my two cents).

The sad news is, we may not see that good as an odd as the Northport had against the Bay Area Dragons. Since they almost got the W, bookies now know that the Dragons are not what we think they are. They can be beaten. San Miguel, Ginebra, and TNT may have even lower odds against them since they are way stronger than Northport.

True and they might be a slight underdog if they face the all-Filipino cup champion SMB Beermen if their succeeding performance will not be too good as their first game. As early as now, we knew that SMC and MVP teams are scouting the Bay Dragons and for sure already know their weakness so gone are the huge odds for their opponents.

So, no game today because of the super typhoon that will hit Luzon this evening so be careful everyone, this is a strong typhoon and its destruction might be massive like what happened to us when we were hit by Oddeth.

Watching Bay Area Dragons and North Port, end of 3rd quarter, score 80-77 in favor of Dragons. It's close and North Port managed to get a lead but that's not even far on the past quarters. We'll see if they'll be the first team to beat these giants.
This Liu guy is really playing easy and tall, also has long arms. Easy throwing the ball under the ring.

Wow, what a game. It was intense and an exciting one, NorthPort almost got the win but Bay Dragon's import Powell did save the day for them with that buzzer-beater 3-pointer. Though the lost, nothing to be ashamed of because NorthPort manage to kept the game as close as possible until the final buzzer and this will remind the Dragons that they will lose along the way when they faced a stronger team like SMB, TNT or Ginebra.
1392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 24, 2022, 09:02:49 AM
Can you believe this?

If it's SMB vs Northport, I'm pretty sure the spread will not be that high, so what will this spread imply?
I mean, are we seeing this guess team as the NBA team playing against a PBA team? This is so disrespectful, there's no more competition here.  Sad

That's probably because of their dominant performance in their first game, but Blackwater is a bad team, you can't expect that they'll win. I guess it's worth risking on the Moneyline as Northport is a decent team. Take that ML and the over.

it is +23.5 on handicap for Northport @ 1.9. Seems like a decent odd for me. I just do not want to risk it yet. I will watch more games of Bay Area Dragon before I start betting against them.

So the spread has increased? Hmmm... I think I see where the public is going here, they seemed so confident that  Bay Area Dragon will again have a very dominant win. Well, with their size and quickness, it could happen, but maybe Northport will get lucky here, I think I would not wait, I'll take the +.

Looks like we won't be having a lopsided win tonight by the Bay Dragons, end of first quarter and the NorthPort Batang Pier is leading by 6 points, very different with that game versus Blackwater wherein the Dragons led by 15 points at the end of the first canto.

Though its only the beginning of the game but your bet has a higher chance of winning now mate, congrats hehe.

Parehas lang ang TA sa forex and crypto, time is the only difference and syempre yung volatility. Sabe ng iba mas volatile paren daw ang forex pero sa tingin ko ay parehas lang naman silang volailte and risky market.
Para sa akin, mas volatile pa rin talaga ang sa forex.

Parang mas volatile nga ang forex kaysa crypto as per experienced.

We can't blame the bookies for this kind of odds as the Bay Dragons have set a record in the PBA for the biggest winning margin of 46 points against Blackwater Bossing. In the brighter side, we can ride with the Dragons to win against Northport and expect them to cover the spread as they have Powell, a top caliber import. We are not just used to seeing this kind of spread against local teams and yes, this is some kind of a disrespect to the PBA team and a wake-up call also because if we don't improved our brand of play we will be left behind by a mile.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 24, 2022, 06:17:25 AM
As expected Shakur dominate the whole fight for a unanimous decision win
SCORES: 117-109, 117-109, 118-108 for Shakur Stevenson, Shakur is ready to move up in the lightweight division but I doubt he will have the same success as he did in this division, Haney, Garcia, and Loma are just too good, and he cannot match up the power and speed of these three, but anyway congratulation to Shakur.

He schooled Robson like he is an amateur hehe but that was expected but it's just interesting to see if he had the same performance had he decided to shred that excess 1.6 pounds because for sure it will have an effect on his performance.

Almost bet for Shakur by decision @1.6 (boosted) but my mind changed when he did not made the scale as i thought he would knockout Robson since he would be bigger by fight time but i'm wrong, playing safe all the time.

I'm not so sure if he could survive the like of Loma or Davis if he fight them right away, i think he needs few more tune up fights in the LW division before facing either champion.

Nevertheless congrats to Shakur for the win in front of his hometown.

Coach Yeng debut as a new head coach of ROS has been ruined by his previous team.  Smiley

IIRC, NLEX were +8.5 underdog, but it turns out they are the better team in this game.
Big game for their import, and the locals have contributed as well.

That is why it is good to bet for the underdogs in the PBA in the first few games since the opening of the conference because games are unpredictable and the odds for the underdogs are a little bit attractive, not too attractive because as I observed it is often pegged from 2.8x to 3.3x usually hehe.

Have you guys noticed that there's almost no crowd watching live games in the PBA now? Too bad since its rival MPBL is jam-packed every game as i noticed, if this will continue i think the PBA will be disbanded.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 23, 2022, 09:14:01 PM
There is a high chance that Shakur will move to 135 pounds after this fight because it might be rumor for now but I guess that is one of their way to inform the public that he is already struggling to shrink his weight inside 130 pounds but I sure do hope that he is not thinking to fight Tank Davis in his debut in that said weight class, he should know what patience is.

Most likely that this will be the scenario if ever Shakur will win against Robson this weekend because there is not much left for him in this division, i mean the money fight is in the higher division. Fighting the likes of Garcia or Davis could be helpful in Shakur's young career because he is known as a defensive fighter who doesn't attract crowds and Bob Arum acknowledges that.

Too bad, Shakur won't be defending his belt anymore because he cannot meet the required weight, he exceeded almost 2 pounds with only few hours left from the weigh-in. Now, there's no holding him up from moving towards the lightweight division where there's money in almost every fight especially now that there's a lot of known good boxers in one stable.

I just really hope that he won't be greedy enough to get Davis in his first fight, I mean, I know Shakur can manage but his chances against Tank Davis is literally low especially now that he is not used fighting in 135 lbs. yet. It might be best for him to fight Garcia first, I'm quite sure that money will rain even in that fight.

Better for him to start fighting non-popular boxers in the 135/140 division as a tune-up to see if he still has it in this new weight. He might be fast in the Super Featherweight but he can't be that fast when he moves up because of the added weight but I think he will adjust in future fights.

Back to his fight with Robson in the next few hours, i think there would ba a chance that he can knockout the lanky fighter since he will now be bigger and stronger, what do you think? Betting for him via knockout is @2.86 as of this writing, not bad and for me it is worth a try since i don't think Robson can beat him.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 23, 2022, 05:12:27 AM
He doesn't care about those two belts anymore, if he did then he would try to make a second attempt because he will be given that time in like two hours to make 130 lbs.

Definitely Stevenson is looking to go up against the big boys at 135 lbs. Not sure if he can immediately jump to challenge Davis because they are in a different promotions.

And it will be more of a mental thing for Shakur, he already lost his belt so maybe there is pressure for him to at least give his fans a good showing.

He feel he may be weak during the fight if he forced himself to drain that excess baggage which for me is unprofessional on his side. His team should have known this even before the weigh in and do the necessary actions as to not compromise the championship belts. This only shows the lack of discipline on training this boxer had (just my thought), have seen Teofimo Lopez struggle or have weight problem but manage to made the scales against Kambosos.

On the brighter side, having Shakur on the lightweight division will add more excitement on this already entertaining division but i think he will start from scratch, i mean he will have to be a mandatory challenger for a title fight, championship fight will not be given to him i think.

He is Liu Chuanxing, 7 foot 5 inches in height and he is there to make the life of June Mar miserable. Cheesy

I do not think June Mar can totally stop this guy alone if he decides to impose his dominance in the paint. June mar will need help from his teammates to be able to stop this guy. Luckily, basketball is a team sport so June Mar will not have to do it alone.

That would be a great matchup and for sure many fans are going too watch that when our very own Junemar Fajardo battles Liu Chuanxing. Offensively, Junemar will most likely struggle against this giant as we all know that he had problems operating inside the paint when his guard is taller than him, we have seen that when he is up against Slaughter but it is very interesting how he will adjust.
