Have you guys noticed that there's almost no crowd watching live games in the PBA now? Too bad since its rival MPBL is jam-packed every game as i noticed, if this will continue i think the PBA will be disbanded.

Isn't it normal that nobody watches the elimination games of PBA? It is only jam-packed during playoffs and when Ginebra is playing. That is why they are heavily favored by the commissioners because they pull the crowd.

I have not watched MPBL and how much they pull the crowd but if what you are saying is true, then MPBL can be the future of basketball in the Philippines. Lately, the complaints against how PBA is being run are getting more and more and louder and louder.

Local teams have to deal with it and I’m sure Dragons are well prepared for this. They are big but of course can still lose by other teams. That might be a huge challenge for Northport so better for them to be ready as well. It’s exciting to see foreign teams executing their best plays, I hope that local teams will learn from it and take this opportunity to be better. Let’s see who will be the first team to beat Bay Area.

I'm unaware, so this Bay Area Dragon is a new team?

They are like a superteam and I see in the schedules that they have games as well on other teams, I think even the SMB will have a hard time winning against Bay Area Dragon.

They are not a superteam. They are just a local team in their country, same with the status of the likes of Ginebra, SMB, and TNT here in our country.

It's just that they are gifted with height and that's their advantage.

SMC teams can surely compete with them. Don't take them as a super heavy team that is unbeatable.

I like MPBL because there's not much politics yet. But believed me, if they will reach the same status as PBA, more politics will be seen here.

Aside from that, MPBL is almost free to watch and even those people who are just walking to buy "toyo and suka" from a sari-sari store can pass by to watch and go out anytime and then come back watching. If not free, the ringside price is just around Php 120 at most. In other words, people are just watching here as how they watch a "Brgy. Liga". That's why there are more people watching here live.

I hope MPBL will not turn into PBA soon. It's good to see as it is.

What's the name of the Center, and his height?

Is he a huge player of the Bay area dragon center, his position? It must be very difficult for the blackwater there in the giant center of the Bay Area Dragon, the guard didn't even reach his shoulder hahaha, just because of the height, in defense, maybe even more so if the center of the Bay Area Dragon is still shooting and, probably this giant one might be 7-8 footer.

Maybe if Fajardo was still guarding there, no matter how difficult the center of the Bay Area Dragons would be, the guard should be someone like Dennis Rodman.

The commissioner is not even doing anything. They are letting the big teams destroy the competitiveness in the league by allowing bias trades and farming smaller teams.

Is it the Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA)? It is the only league that I know that is a rival to PBA. It has the same format of MPBL which the is composed of regional teams. Sadly, it succumbs to high expense in running regional teams. Hopefully, this will not happen to MPBL.

We can't blame the bookies for this kind of odds as the Bay Dragons have set a record in the PBA for the biggest winning margin of 46 points against Blackwater Bossing. In the brighter side, we can ride with the Dragons to win against Northport and expect them to cover the spread as they have Powell, a top caliber import. We are not just used to seeing this kind of spread against local teams and yes, this is some kind of a disrespect to the PBA team and a wake-up call also because if we don't improved our brand of play we will be left behind by a mile.

Competition? It isn't applicable in PBA anymore for the last 5-6 years or even more.
Look at the teams right now. It's only MVP and SMC that are battling for years. Look at the standings and you will see that the top 6 teams is composed of MVP and SMC. Do you think that competition still exists in the PBA? Hell no for a long time already.

Kinda disrespectful to see the odds yes but they based on how they dominated the Bossing, I think the Dragons will really get that odds. The guest team really is strong and there is no doubt on that just by looking on how the team dominated those PBA teams in their scrimmages.

As for competition, I don't see competition anymore in the PBA. I watched the games in the last 2 game days and you will see that the number of audiences watching is very few to the point that you might count them. It's because the competitiveness of the league is long gone already. You will not see any independent teams dominating the league but only MVP and SMC teams and because of this, there are some PBA fans that might opt to watch other leagues like MPBL because the competitiveness on that league is higher than the PBA therefore, it is more entertaining to watch.
