141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 18, 2023, 05:13:57 AM
I don’t see it wrong to explore day trading at some point, but what makes it wrong is to expect daily profits like $50 or $100 as you’ll find it hard to make it happen especially if you are not used in doing high risk day trading. Even successful day traders cannot guarantee profits daily, so how much more for a beginner day trader like you.

You know my suggestion is, you can try to do day trying but never set a fixed amount for your profits. Otherwise, you’ll end up in frustration. Also, know that day trading requires bigger capital, at least you’re aware about it.

Good point here, i could remember i had this mentality back then but end up not meeting up because truth to be told trading is difficult to even make $5 in the market now take a whole lot of patient, just like am trying to grow a small account on forex with lot size of 0.01 , now imagine the low risk lot size volume  Huh Cry meaning a trade needs to move 50 pips for me to make $5 in the market. And if we look the financial market deeply with all the whole stuff happening in the world at the moment trade hardly play out to your direction, which you cant even hold a trade till next day due to BROKERS manipulation to HUNT your STOPS.
142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: well thats aren't far from the truth on: August 16, 2023, 02:43:46 AM
Hello Bitcointalk community

i saw many people ( even i am one of them)  Grin Since getting merits a lil bit hard here people rushing to posts like me newbie maybe post some posts without looking at the " Newbies - Read before posting"

Or high ranks members respond the same answers but in a different ways.

so I was suggesting that at first to get merits by posting numbers...like 20+ posts getting 1 merit, 50+ 2 merits ..and so on.

im not sure how it was before but now its not that easy to get at least 1 merit to begin.

* i made this topic since I'm looking for a beginning in this forum i had only 24 posts but yet they are useful for others (I'm not the one to judge) but didn't get any yet .

so i guess the admins should do a PLAN for newbies members to get to be at least MEMBERS

Maybe some will attack me here from nothing is easy to get ..but im fighting to be visible to others !! newbie rank will not get me anywhere atm.

So please no negative comments !! after all we are here to learn

Even without having to do a POST some good replies on quality post also earn you merits, now to be in for merits you have to bring in something you know that can help newbies like you to learn, or should i say we all should learn from post with images that will educate faster on the post you will make and also it took make a long time to get here, so dont expect the worst or good at a shorter timeframe.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~If you must trade~ on: August 16, 2023, 02:34:35 AM
I was having this strong contemplation, between emotion and patience which factor affects traders the most. I know we have other factors that can make a trader experience huge losses such as FUD, greed, lack of contentment, indiscipline and high expectations and over zealousness.

But I had to narrow my scope to just the emotional and patient factors. I am sure many traders can relate better with this two factors compared to the rest this lead me to seek the answer from traders and prospective traders which do you think should be handled with more caution and between the two which has higher chances of helping a trader have at least 70% of total control of their profit cycle.

I see this two factors as the consistence win rate people miss out, because if you are patient you will see what the market has to off now when you are too emotional about your being patient thats when you screw out the patient side of you and so doing you have messed up you thought. Thats why the English-speaking of trading psychology comes in.

146  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How you got your first Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2023, 01:43:57 PM
Una good morning ooo. As e be like this, I just say make I bring this topic make we come together, discuss.
So, a lot of us may already know, some may not, and others may just be figuring it out now, ( like myself ), that there are 3 broad ways of acquiring Bitcoin.
These 3 ways are; buying, earning & mining.

 Buying is the easiest way to get Bitcoin but of course requires finances. It involves;
* Cryptocurrency brokerage which are websites that allow you to buy & sell away from the order book concept making it simple, but with a higher transaction fee. Eg., Coinbase.
* Cryptocurrency exchanges which are cheaper and allow users to interact with an order book to buy and sell. Eg., Kraken.
* P2P marketplaces allow users to buy and sell freely and choose their buyers and sellers. Eg., Binance.

Then there's earning bitcoin which happens when you ask for a percentage or all of your pay to be in bitcoin, providing services online that pay in bitcoin, and through faucets.
Lastly, we have mining. It involved solving difficult hashes and puzzles to earn block rewards. It used CPU,  GPUs, & FGPAs in the past, but now ASIC is used in mining Bitcoin. This method is not advised to beginners as it requires intensive capital.

After all that has been said, I would love the experts and those with experience to please share their stories and tell us how they got their first Bitcoin, stating what method they used, prefer, and how they maintained it to this point.

Thank you...

Actually when i first start this cryptocurrency something, i use real money buy bitconnect coin back den when bitconnect was all over not until government make the thing crash, all the money go because the coin no come get value again so my return into the system na airdrops main main i been put focus in back den plenty exchange dey and the new ones wey been dey come on board like MACATORX but na BITTREX i been use den, COINBASE been dey but the process then been dey some how and that time ehh it was something else because any time you keep money for BTC OR ETH and market dey drop e come dey fpllow affect so as them introduce USDT e come dey better for me since USDT is a stable coin. so since then i no sure say i enjoy holding or keeping BTC in my wallet.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: August 14, 2023, 05:19:10 PM
There are few factors that leads to unfavourable trading, these factors includes Greed, and chasing a trend, Traders are expected to encounter Challenges during trading and relating these challenges with people's experiences can be the key in solving the challenge,
Sticking to the trading plan is also good to avoid unfavourable trade as changing plans in the middle of a trade Can really lead to a loss in trade.

even with all of this you are saying, trust me many will still do what pleases them forgetting that trading is not Grambling. it has to do with lots of discipline and psychology. Newbies now in this new generation are all about making quick cash, forgetting that its NEVER done that way. i wish many will learn somethisomething from here.
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello, I'm new here. on: August 14, 2023, 05:14:47 PM
Hello, my name is Smart-Cash. I don't know where to begin. Because I am new to this forum. I would like to know some of the rules and regulations of this forum and guidelines to avoid getting Lost.

Furthermore, how would like to learn more about cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology, How do they operate?

first of all you are welcome, to bitcointalk.org a place to learn and earn at the same time thats if you know how to be patient, now i believe few members have shared a link to where you will get all the rules and guidelines of the forum. Now what i will want you to do for me is to lock the topic, that feature is located at the right hand side of the post you made at the bottom. which i know you dont need any further answers.

150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Timing and Trading on: August 13, 2023, 05:49:59 AM

Timing and Trading

Timing- I may not not know how to define time properly but I know that the measurement of time is in seconds.

Trading- Is buying and selling.

Trading In Cryptocurrency is the buying and selling of coins and it involves speculation of price movement. You can decide to trade in futures, spot or even buy and hold to sell at the appropriate. One of the outstanding benefits of trade is that you get profits.

Note: Timing is everything to trading.

First of all, You need to know which time frame works best for you. Examples of time frame include; 1 min, 5 mins, 15 and 30 mins, 1 hr, 4 hr, 1 day, 1 week etc. Please note there are time-frames in between.
To actually know the time frame that works for you is to practice trading my advice is to use a demo account. The time frame that gives you more profit fits your personality in trade.

Personality in Trade

I say this carefully, you can be a scalper, intra-day, swing, or position traday.

Just to be brief on Timing;

A Scalper eyes is usually on 1mins and 5mins

An Intra-day eyes is usually on a day to an hour. Spotting opportunities.

A swing personality looks for weekly and daily chart for opportunity.

Position trading as the name implies takes longer timeframes.

Note: There are little variation to this which depends on few factors.

Always take note of the time you enter the market it will also give you insight to live with profit or loss when necessarily.

Feel free to contribute as there are many more things to learn.

Trading is quite different now than before where you will trade with peace of mind, i dont see that atmosphere anymore. when i sit to check stuff online like the youtube platform i see more of traders going in for sclaping and day trading, retailers hardly swing trade because this is probably done by institutions and hedge funds.

Hi I wanted to increase the size of my positions in copy trading in Bingx and I got this message:

Risk Warning: You will not be able to copy trades as the margin per trade you set is greater than the available account balance. Deposit or transfer to ensure sufficient funds in the account.
Isnt it possible to open a position of 100 dollars with a 10 dollars balance for example? isnt it possible to use leverage in copytrading in Bingx? anyone familiar with copytrading in Bingx?

i thing with the waring sign you probably know the risk you are about to take is not worth taking and so to say they should have there terms and conditions thats why you got the RISK WARNING message. besides am not a copy trader anyways but i think there is a reason for that WARNING, Also some images will help to understand what you are trying to say better.

In no short time(3days) the cashless policy wey the CBN implement go kick off fully for Nigeria.

As CBN don already talk for their cashless policy, ATM go stop to give out 1000naira and 500naira while bank go come limit how much peso go fit withdraw for inside bank. Day and weekly withdrawing of 50k-500k per week

em go make much sense make we familiarize ourselves with the bank USSD code wey d much faster for electronic payments. Bank USSD code no need data or airtime to run am. wetin dem d take run am na your phone number wey you activate for bank via receiving of bank alert

158  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kucoin wire transfer is rubbish on: August 09, 2023, 07:10:40 PM
I was sent an email today that Kucoin users can use wire transfer to send money. What I know about wire transfer is that someone from aborad can use it to send foreign currencies to you in Nigeria. This is why it can be useful on Kucoin to send foreign currencies to your Nigeria account. One of the reason I hate it is the time it would take before the money would be sent to you, it can take two weeks or more, although those are free wire transfers.

Kucoin wire transfer will take 3 to 5 business working days. The withdrawal fee is 80 USD.

The parallel market rate is getting higher than the I&E windows. Wire transfer will use I&E windows which is another reason this is not a good alternative at all.

I got the email as well i can't afford to take such chances KUCOIN cant beat binance no matter what they will bring up and trust me that fee $80 is freaking too high for a middle class man. Aside this i think there are other platforms that should offer this means of sending money across the globe.
159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a life by Day Trading on: August 09, 2023, 03:22:39 PM
Hello I'm going to make this as a topic since I just want to share some knowledge for everyone that considering making a life by being a day trader in crypto.

Since you visited this topic I'm guessing you already have an account on some crypto exchange like binance so fast forward to the topic.

So how to be a day trader?
1. Setup your budget - you need atleast $200 (think this as a tuition fee to learn how to trade) to start with. This can give you a lot of capabilities to workaround the sweetspot of trading.
2. Learn how  to use the right leverage - In this one you're using your funds as collateral and you're basically borrowing from the trading platform your using.
  • Setting a high leverage means you're increasing your profit potential and quick returns but setting it also has a downside which is high risk of loss and your funds can be burn due to liquidation
  • Setting a low leverage (2x or 5x) means low profit from it but you're minimizing your risk facing a losses and also it allows you to focus on long term growth as a trader
3. Use the right indicators for you - This one it depends what will work for you but let me tell you the basic indicators that I use as a daily trader.
  • MACD Indicator - This one has been effective on me, I've been using this one since 2020 you can lookup and watch some videos about this indicator. I suggest you use this with the coin with a minimal volatility. So you can setup a position if you'll go for long/short.
    • This indicator is a powerful tool that can tell you identifying potential trend reversals.
    • It's also simple and Visual friendly since you're just looking for a two lines that crossing together from time to time.
    • This is helpful also on Identifying the trend changes or change of momentum with the price

4. Using the right graph - I suggest you choose the candle sticks so you can see the patterns that's being made and put it on a 4h time frame. regarding to the patterns you can look it up also on web so you can study different kinds of candle stick pattern.

Once you get used to it invest another $200 as a starting capital. Remember the first $200 funds you used for is for studying trading so expect to lose it all at first so stick to low leverage so you can utilized it and learn a lot from it.
Setup your target income per day for me I'm currently happy making $300 a day since it covers my daily life essentials and needs I'm living outside the US so the cost of living in my country is pretty cheap and $300 is a lot already.
Also Setup your target loss per day for me I'm okay with losing $100 a day but that's it once I lose that $100. I will go outside and get some fresh air and come back once my mind is clear again remember once you're losing you tend to increase your leverage which is bad It will cost you a lot.
Trust me I've been there before.

So that's it, hope this will help you from being a future trader. Good luck!  Wink

It's Quite impressive to see a NEWBIES put out good stuff like this, this just made me remember this week MONDAY i had a loss of $21 from a small account i am building up, what i did was seat back and check what made me loss on that trade since am a swing trader, and when i found out the error i just took a deep breathe relax and look for clear setups and this time i hit it with 0.1 LOT SIZE without thinking twice if am wrong or right and boom it was a nice trade. That end my day trading... loss was recovered.
