141  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPoker.io - 0% Rake Until January 1st. on: December 11, 2013, 10:29:17 PM
What time is the lobby set to? I'm seeing freerolls at 17:00 and 20:00, but its past 5pm est and the 17:00 hasn't started. EDIT: Apparently I accidently changed my time setting to pacific time.
142  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: December 11, 2013, 09:45:22 PM
Got my problem fixed. I had moved the shortcut to my desktop which didn't work. Support got back to me pretty quickly.

See you guys in the donkdown freeroll(tonight?).

DHL is testing it as well. Also saw something about the USPS testing drone delivery too. Obviously a long way out, but I don't think its as crazy as some people seem to think.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will I be able to use Bitcoins at the mall in 2014??? on: December 11, 2013, 07:24:55 PM
Does anyone(coinbase, bitpay, etc) offer a service where you can pay at the point of purchase with BTC and the merchant receives USD?

Where can I find the passwords for the freerolls?
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and LTC have finally stabilized at 800 respective 30 dollars? on: December 11, 2013, 06:10:10 PM
Its not any more or less stable than it has been. There have actually been plenty of swings recently. Even after that small crash.
147  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get a poker sub-forum in gambling... on: December 11, 2013, 02:19:51 AM
I'm a long time twoplustwo and allvegaspoker poster.

I'd definitely be active in it were there a poker subforum. As it is the gambling subforum is almost exclusively threads for all the gambling sites and very little actual gambling related talk(strategy, statistics, etc).
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it SAFE to hold bitcoin on Mt GOX? Urgent on: December 11, 2013, 02:11:50 AM
You can move bitcoins very easily. Keep the absolute minimum on exchanges, gambling sites, etc.

Has little to do with security and more to do with none of these sites being all that trustworthy.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: What does the GOX say? on: December 11, 2013, 02:03:47 AM
They used a gox chart on CNBC earlier which I thought was pretty funny. Looks like gox is back to being $50-100 higher than market again.
When was that?

Earlier today. Not sure exactly. Sometime in the afternoon EST. They had someone on discussing security or something and mentioned bitcoin for a second and flashed up the gox chart.
150  Economy / Services / Re: Tournament Poker Coaching(SNGs and MTTs) (1 Free session Available) on: December 11, 2013, 12:58:59 AM
I've been playing quite a bit on seals with clubs this week. So I have a good idea of what the games are like that now as well.(Bump)
151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago on: December 11, 2013, 12:51:04 AM
Most annoying thing is when someone replied while I was typing my reply and it won't let me post because of that. Maybe I can turn that off in settings though I'm not sure.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Wikipedia were to accept Bitcoin, how much would you be willing to donate? on: December 11, 2013, 12:40:38 AM
I guess this would help if people wanted to give really small amounts?

Wouldn't they then need to manage wallets carefully?

If you wanted to give $5+ you'd just convert to USD and ship it their way. Agree with the deletionists thing too. I'd go on there and spend some time writing an article that was actually correct on a topic that had a very minimal and wrong entry only to find it got reverted by someone who didn't know the first thing about it.

At what time?

9pm EST. Details are on their twitter.

Digging things out of the earth is what makes them valuable apparently. Guess a single coherent point was too much to expect.
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: [0.011 BTC] BTC-P - brand new bitcoin pyramid. Started today!! [Beta] on: December 10, 2013, 11:28:13 PM
Does it really matter if you are winning even with 3+ activated refs?

Anyone good enough at getting money out of people to make this profitable could just get their money without paying someone 18% commission on every person they bring in.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illuminati JPM Chase makes move to kill BTC on: December 10, 2013, 10:59:55 PM
So is this basically another crypto-currency w/ the same accounting capabilities as bitcoin, except centralized by the bank?

Not sure how this is going to work. It can't do anything bitcoin can do because the company who owns it will have reporting requirements.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin's next catalyst for growth ? on: December 10, 2013, 08:08:23 PM

Well china is/was the last catalyst for growth from $200, I would call this adoption rather than speculation alone, there's still enormous scope for growth yet across the globe

How much of that growth in china is due to actual usage though? I know there are some uses in china, but most of the volume in china is investment/speculation is it not?

159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long until BTC gambling sides are shut down? on: December 10, 2013, 07:18:35 PM
I don't think it matters the sites let you gamble in BTC. They will probably start getting their domains seized and stuff soon.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin's next catalyst for growth ? on: December 10, 2013, 04:13:30 PM
What was its last catalyst for "growth"?

Mostly just rampant speculation. Hopefully someone will find/create a use for bitcoins that doesn't exist yet. I don't think a widespread adoption of bitcoin by merchants is very likely to happen anytime soon.

Exchanges that aren't awful would probably help.
