141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the big deal with Chainlink? on: July 17, 2020, 02:03:04 AM
There has been a lot of hype surrounding "De-Fi" and Ethereum over the past months. It seems that COVID-19 has made crypto and Blockchain technology more popular than ever. A token that has seen the most increase in market cap and price on the crypto market is Chainlink (LINK). It's odd to see such a "pump" in price for such a token, after being under the radar some years ago. If the project is delivering as promised, then "LINK" could retain its value on the market for the foreseeable future. Otherwise, expect a massive downfall in its price due to lack of interest from traders, investors, and everyday people.

What's the big deal with Chainlink? Do you think it's one of the most hyped tokens on the crypto/Blockchain space right now? What's so special about it? Will it survive in the long run? Or is it just another nail in the coffin? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

chainlink is more like an rss feed, don't try to chase it.

not just gold 99% of the crypto projects are scam, there is none reason to buy them but people do buy anyway. greed conquer all
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 16, 2020, 07:47:52 PM
So there's 6000+ coins out there. Look at the max supply. A coin with a large max supply and rapid emission of new coins will most likely never surge in value. This is because the worlds total capital is divided with so many optional coins. The larger the supply, the more capital it needs to spike in value. Even Bitcoin with a max supply of only 21 million needed massive amount of capital to get where it is now. So any coin with double that, will need the double amount of capital to get to the same place. So with so many options out there if you want good value pump. Look for something with max supply of only like 1 million. (which of course needs to have a utility too to stay in growing demand)

max supply of 1million is way to little.
the surge in value have nothing to do with max supply of a coin.

Total supply: 145,794,982

What happen for pos rewards when it is complete?

When what completes?

Circulating Supply = Total Supply

your question don't make any sense. also circulating supply don't have to be equal to total supply.
in pos or dpos there will never complete for rewards.
if you asking when will the ark circulating supply is equal the total supply then it depend on the ARK team when will they're going to releasing all the ark they have, from what i see not going to happen anytime soon.

It's good to have choices, personally I'm happy with the Blockfolio app, though I feel it takes more time than it should to update my portfolio with the latest staking/mining rewards and trades from unsupported exchanges.
But for the API-supporter exchanges, Blockfolio works great.

Since ARK holders will receive a lot of staking rewards, it'd be good to have a portfolio-management application which monitors our wallets and automatically registers stake rewards and other transactions.
I'm a bit busy right now to check out Abra, the new platform which supports ARK. If anyone tries it, please let me how it fares.

I believe you are misunderstanding what ABRA is. ABRA is an investing platform. Think of it as an exchange in your hand, it also allows you to purchase with your bank account or credit cards directly inside the ABRA app. With over 500k downloads, this opens the door to many traditional and new investors/traders.

i just downloaded the app and not seeing ark on cryptocurrency deposit lists
Also did the same thing just to check if that is the case to me. Upon checking, there's no ARK in their list of crypto "assets". Can anyone tell why they say ARK is integrated into their system but we can't see their ticker in the app itself? Am I missing something here? Or will there be future update for the app that will enable ARK in its ecosystem?

https://www.abra.com/cryptocurrency/investing-guide/#302

it still not answer why we can't deposit ark

Wow, this is beyond stupid:

Vitalik seems to have lost his mind; what the hell was he thinking when he made this poll? What results did he expect? Roll Eyes

vitalik never was a smart person, his ethereum was just luck. smart contracts is invented/created by nick szabo and code into what is today ethereum by gavin wood

No matter who invented it in the first place, Vitalik is the reason you are writing in this thread.
One of the reasons banks are considered secure is that they can block your card if you report it stolen.
In crypto, if something is stolen it is inevitably lost. I think that is what Vitalik is trying to find a solution for (atleast for the big thefts).

ah, but bitcoin already figured it out and supported by the majority, don't you think?
you also need to know what is blockchain/cryptocurrency and bank/card, and the reason blockchain/cryptocurrency exist or ethereum exist. again do your own dd and understand it before you reply to my post.

oh, i'm all over the places/threads, not just this one. people like vitalik and mcafee are just no one in my book, really. the secret, i just don't like them!

ark might not be the first blockchain, or the first anon coin but here are some of the terms or techs ark is invented for the blockchain;

interperability,
plug and play blockchain,
all-in-one blockchain,
modular blockchain,
plugin blockchain,
1st 1 vote = 1 count dpos,
1st dynamic fees dpos
i don't see anyone is using the term ecosystem blockchain before ark, so. let us know more if you think the ark team and people invented it.
the scammers and copycats going to take these terms and techs all the way to their bank.
i can say ark team and community are the OG in this blockchain and they know what's going on. ark is the shzit yo!
you guys are amazing, the ark team and community!
will see how this go.

oh, ark team and community code their own blockchain, so;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoNTgMjxH0s&feature=youtu.be

beware of those too good to be true blockchains, or high pump and high volumes blockchains out of rat hole, chance your money will be gone soon.
beware of those ico, ieo, ioo, ifo, ifcku-o... fake volumes and fake pump, things like that.
this is not an investing, investment, or advisor post Grin do you own dd

the way ark and most altcoins dumping according to bitcoin trends is sick! this mental game is mentally sick. when bitcoin dump ark dump, when bitcoin pump ark dump harder, i can't see ark able to break this nonsense trends right now. this mentally challenging trends is damaging to ark and altcoins in general and of all the coins i know/trades ark getting hit the hardest, from number #12 or #13 to now #130, something is wrong here.
it's going to be hard to overcome this.
