Maybe it's about giving it to the poors Smiley
Yeah just like Mao did. He gave to the poor - famine
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 05, 2018, 06:29:39 AM
Just wanted to know if it is alright to keep coins on Cryptobridge ? I bought some coins 3 months ago and I haven't touched them since.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 04, 2018, 03:53:36 PM
The only guy to merit OP is member "Senseless" and he is selling some FPGA miners too.

Hmmm....
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: June 04, 2018, 01:09:11 PM
When I run the windows miner it gives this error :

Cuda Error : CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version (errn_um=35)

^multiple lines of this error and then also this error

CUBLAS ERROR: (errn_um=1)
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: tdxminer lyra2z/XZC Miner for AMD GPUs on Linux on: June 04, 2018, 01:02:26 PM
How do you run it on hive OS ? When I run it says :

No algorithm specified     --help   for help

something like that. So how can I run it ?
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Higher temp if mining in Win10 on: June 03, 2018, 05:21:04 PM
I know these are normal temp but still 10C (at least) is a big number and it stops me from getting better hashrate in other algos as I have to lower the power limit otherwise I will have to run fans at 100%.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Deception & Misdirection by ZEC co. Forking ASIC Resistance Bitmain Antminer Z9 on: June 02, 2018, 10:36:52 PM
I support FPGA mining not cause I can jump early on it (I am a small scale miner and I can barely afford one $6k FPGA).
Heck, I could've even jumped on these ASICs.  I knew about them and could've ordered in the first batches itself.

FPGAs are much more power efficient and may or may not be faster than a GPU (price to performance ratio).
People who own mining farms would be interested in getting 1k of these instead of 10k GPUs.  In case of FPGAs there can always be some xyz person who can bring out custom implementations (binaries) which perform better than competitors.  The cost involved is much lower than a competitor who has to compete against a giant and manufacture a better ASIC.
FPGA mfg are two (Xilinx and Intel/Altera) and they are not mining crypto with their FPGAs.  They have a much larger customer base to meet their targets just like for NVIDIA/AMD crypto is not the bread and butter.

The problem with ASIC is one entity is producing, mining and selling them.  It's not the ASIC itself but this particular entity.
If I was a money printing machine manufacturer and that's the only thing I do why or when should I sell it to others?

Xilinx has partnered with Bitmain. You were saying something.

They are using FPGA SoC as host processor. (already there on whatever latest offerings are by BITMAIN) just like GPU mining rigs are using intel/AMD.  Bitmain is just another customer for Xilinx. Xilinx themselves are not making mining machines.  i rest my case.  Bitmain is making, using and selling; too much control with one corp.
But who is selling ? Xilinx is. They will also sell their latest processors so that Bitmain can mine with it. Now it will be Bitmain selling and controlling FPGAs.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Higher temp if mining in Win10 on: June 02, 2018, 10:29:20 PM
Rig is 12*1050ti on G4400. Even though they have a lot of dust on them now, it is not why they are running hot as I have switched back to HiveOS and temp are back to normal.

Example with ethereum :

On HiveOS  OC settings are- Core Clock : 100 Mhz, Memory : 1950 Mhz, Fan speed : 69, PL : 57     temps are usually +- 59C

on Afterburner : Core Clock : 100 Mhz, Memory :+950 Mhz, Fan speed : 78%, PL : 72%      temps are 64-69C
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Higher temp if mining in Win10 on: June 02, 2018, 07:28:01 PM
I just started mining on Win10 (before I was on HiveOS). My GPUs are approx running at least 10C higher then they were on HiveOS. I have tested 2-3 algos and results are same. Is this normal ? if not what could be causing this ? What setting might be wrong ? I am not an expert in Afterburner maybe some problem there ? Previously I was OCing using HiveOS web GUI which works differently then Afterburner.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ALLMINE INC - FPGA Cryptominer on: June 02, 2018, 07:21:47 PM
I just started mining last october, and hooked. my 8 rig gpu was fun, but with forks in the future, and increased comp from asics, the writing is on the wall.
even just 1 of these would do what my rig does, and then some....

Im interested as well..still gotta keep up on all the reading.. so much here, so good.

There is Nothing writen on the Wall. Not at this Time.

There will be new GPUs, probably whole new Kinds of Chips anyway.

You know.....we can not know, what we don't know.
But WHAT we know is, that this Cryptoworld is in its early Stages. Miner like us will be needed, in the Future. Without Mining, no Transfers and no Coins.

Proof of Stake is not the last Kind of Wisdom, neither is Asic.

And sometimes i have the impresson, that there are People, who think, that a private Miner can't buy Asics or Fpgas, or even new GPUs. And we all know, that this is not true.

Bitmain will get serious Competition this Year....and this is only the Beginning. The Prices of Asics will go down by that.....like in every Competition.

And if an FPGA only does half of the Effect on a b-chain compared to that actual Asic.......there is no Asic Domination anymore, because the People will consider economicly....and FPGA has this wider Range and longer Lifepan, because of its Flexibility.

Such a Machine will run, as long as it makes PLUS. And if i can change the Algo, the Plus will be much higher for a longer Time. And this is the Same for GPUs.
am curious, what kind of GPUs will hit the Market in the Future.
Wrong. Bitmain wouldn't have became a billion dollar company if they can't see the future of mining. They are always one step ahead like a good businessman. They will soon release their own FPGA miners and they have already partnered with Xilinix.

What's with the CCP flag.

I rather suspect the symbolism intended by @suchmoon is, "waving a red flag of warning." It's an American idiom, but one I thought was fairly universal.

Yeah but this is the communist flag from PRC. Just saying.

Where are all of these Pro-FPGA but Anti-ASIC supporters now. I knew that FPGA will share the same fate as ASICs.

As Bitmain is slowly competiting with NVidia on all fronts now NVidia should also enter Bitmain's field- mining. Their expertise lies is GPUs so they should now make mining only gpu (not the fake ones like p106 but real ones made from ground up).

I am trying to mine XMR with a single Vega 56 but when miner starts (any XMR miner) it gives error like - Opencl sdk not loaded or something like that. Please help.

I suspect once they update the store stats with the refunded units from Payal that figure will climb back up.

the stats could very well be made up...if it is a scam...and again looking at such...

Well, here's some food for thought:

This thread is the only place where they promote their site. It has ~7000 views as of now. Dwarf claims to have sold nearly 5000 units. That would be a truly miraculous 50%+ conversion rate. Actually more than that - they made that claim when the thread had barely 6000 views.

Even if they're legit - they're still liars and bigly incompetent, which in the end probably yields a similar result for the buyers as a scam would.

What's with the CCP flag.

I said it before, the coins are being dumped by FPGA miners. I have personally seen it working. I have invested a lot in Bitcore. If you want The price to rise just do a fork or something like that. It will become profitable mining it and buyers will come again.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 01, 2018, 05:31:43 PM
Well at least some of the responses by the OP make sense.  They don't have the working demo units to be able to send to people to try.  He should have stated he would like to send out demo units, but he does not have them to send instead of what appears to the community to be evasive and somewhat arrogant stance of "we don't have to".

Secondly which is a little more concerning is the response that if they sent out demo units the time frame would be lengthened and the coin would fork.  This raises 2 questions immediately to me.
1. It shouldn't take that long for a trusted member to power on, take some pictures, and validate the unit to the community.  So that really is a non-argument.  But as pointed out in the first item they don't units to send.  So that is probably the real explanation.
2. If he sent out demo units the coin would fork?  So are we saying we think that the coin will fork and brick these units in just a couple of months?  And how hard is it to make the code change and load them on these units?  You now raise some serious concerns about the shelf life of this product and or the ability to respond to a fork with updates in a timely manner.

Now with the announcement there is no Paypal or refundable option this really closes the doors for most people trying to avoid risk.  Without any assurance that the purchase is protected on an unproven product you now have an uphill battle.

Your last option to provide some assurance may be to use one of the escrows here on the forum that is well known and trusted.  This way payment is made, held until units verified, and funds released.

I am in import export bness. One of the rule is to keep at least one perfect sample with you. It has many uses like matching it with the shipment if all the specification are exact. Manufacturer will also not to try to cut corners if he knows you have the sample. This is applicable to all industries and is standard practice.

How important is pcie 3.0 4x bandwidth for this FPGA? Because I use 8 gpu riserless Onda mobos; the only way it'll connect is via m2 key host boards on Pcie 1x lanes.

I was looking at those mobos and wasn't sure the size of the gap between gpu's is it sufficient for cooling or do use a fan to help
Those Onda MoBos were made to be used inside server chasis style case which has many intake and outake fans.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: June 01, 2018, 03:16:51 AM
But what pool do you use?

antpool doesn't give BTM as choice in sub-account management and uupool is not in english (and at sign up, my phone number doesn't work).

You don't need to register to be paid

Ok, but what is the minimum payout? And/or where can I see my workers on antpool? Because I don't know if I mine for nothing...
1 Btm. Automatic payout.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: May 31, 2018, 01:55:16 AM
I tried it on HiveOS and worked like charms. It was very easy but the only issue I have is that I have the cheapest processor and only getting about 580Hs average at uupool.cn for 9-1050 2GB cards.
I will try it again later on a system with a more powerful processor. Thanks. Can't wait for improvement on this miner.

-Type miner when running and you can see how the cards are running.

That won't help you. Read my previous posts.
