81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: if you live in the EU, watch your profit. I've already turned off my rigs. on: June 29, 2018, 03:47:35 AM
I've already changed my mindset.  my mining rigs are unprofitable but they are paid off.  I still mine to make sure Im paying for my coin with electric instead.  Electric cost exactly the same amount I mine so I make zero profits . I do this to avg cost my buy in. I will even mine at slightly negative profits.  This is the best I can expect and Im doing this with titanium power supplys with 240 volt and a 26 cent avg electric cost.

So ya this will be a pure test of who capitulates and gives up.  I expect profits to actually get worst till end of year.   I'll run you guys down to the  ground into negative earnings  and i'll enjoy you giving up and capitulate.  I get a high off of this!!!

I have nvidia 1070ti/1080/1080ti rigs.

Sadly, it may be you who gets run down to the ground first.

You are running at $0.26 cents average electric cost. Sorry to burst your bubble but much smarter people who also know how to optimize mining rigs are also mining at locations where electric costs are much lower. Hope you can shed some light on your plan and share it with us regular people.
Lol. True.

Hmm.....$340,000 a year. That's really low. I thought he might have 100s of millions.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 28, 2018, 06:27:16 AM
Please someone ban this "JackieBlockChain" guy, he is so annoying and now posting bible verses for begging. I think he is probably Dwarf Miner guy himself or one of his breed.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is Bios Mod really necessary for AMD ? (Or Afterburner is enough) on: June 27, 2018, 02:55:23 PM
I have only Nvidia rigs so I haven't felt the need to bios mod. Just software OC is working good for me.
My electricity costs $.06
But now I have some RX 570, so is bios modding worth it or software OC is enough ?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / PSU for RX 570 rig ?(solved) on: June 27, 2018, 02:52:21 AM
How much PSU is good for 5 and 6 RX 570 rig ?

I am getting 8 RX 570 which I will upgrade to either 10 or 12 gpu.

I will be using 2 PSUs (gold). So 1 PSU for 5 or 6 gpus.

Edit : bought 1000W gold Antec PSU for 5 cards.

There were no 5000 units, so he sold more or less then that. Seeing that some member bought more than a dozen and they might be many people who are not speaking and then those who don't make an account. I think he might have sold few hundred or thousand "units".

Also he is gone now. The show has come to a stale end with members still hoping that they might get something and I was expecting a few more replies from him :/
The *ucker is probably reading this thread and laughing.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA GeForce Next-Gen PCB ‘Prototype’ leak on: June 26, 2018, 06:33:43 PM
Nice thread looking forward to answers on here.

I'm a new mini miner (3 months, 3*1070 gtx) and after reading the forum for last few months, was wondering why NVIDIA and AMD wouldn't be working hard to stay in the crypto business, as it must be so lucrative for them.

But there seems to be a lot of negativity towards GPU mining longevity in the forums.
Too much risk for them. There are already making a lot of revenue from different fields with new ones coming everyday like AI and others. These are one of those decisions that could make a company go bankrupt. They are already doing very good, their is no need to enter a very uncertain market.

"Three 8 Pin Power Connectors"

...ugh.
This is only a test board made to give testers the flexibility to see what maximum clocks can be achieved by a certain GPU and what kind of power limits can be made possible.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 26, 2018, 01:31:33 PM
How much money do you guys think this scam might have made from this ? How many units he might have sold ?

Why are so many off the topic comments. What happened to the scammers and those who got scammed.
92  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can I get money from mining? on: June 26, 2018, 10:03:12 AM
This is the worst time to enter right now due to many uncertainties like ASIC and FPGA threat, and Next Gen GPUs just round the corner. Wait for the skies to become clear then decide. At least wait for next gen GPUs.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Who is making the most profit : Retailer or Distributor on: June 25, 2018, 12:13:38 PM
I read somewhere that NVIDIA and AMD partners are not increasing the prices, their margin is still same as it was before mining boom.
Where I live GPUs are coming with increased MRP on the box and official distributors are the one who put them. So does it mean that official distributors are taking the biggest cut or is it the retailers ?

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bytom Mining - ASIC algorithm now cracked by GPU miners? Big profits? on: June 23, 2018, 12:17:19 PM
How do you reduce invalid shares and what OC settings have effect. Getting 8% stale on pool.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: B3 Owners - Let s make a class action against BITMAIN and BYTOM on: June 23, 2018, 04:56:55 AM
It won't matter even if this company was American. You got what they advertised, they always have a disclaimer saying crypto market is very volatile and new technological advances can make the hardware obsolete, buy at your own risk.

Also a single 1070 makes more then this asic.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: June 22, 2018, 11:47:49 AM
Just to warn all the buyers (i am one of them)
Do not come to cry here and get angry and ramble all day long.
You were warned and knew the risks.
If it turns out, this was not legit, you will be the only one to blame.

To be honest, I think the product is legit but the team can definitely run away with the funds and they will be safe.
Now, it's preferable to ship the product and make a batch 2 as it will be more profitable in the long run.
If this product actually exists then you will get it. But it does not exists.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 570 8GB V RX 580 4GB ??? on: June 22, 2018, 10:42:18 AM
I prefer msi armor 570 8gb to mine because it has a good hashrate to mine a coin with Cryptonight algo like XMR or mine another coin like Decred.
MSI Armor = crap. Period. Cooling is shit, quality is shit. Avoid.

Also, you will not "mine another coin like Decred" because they are now ASIC territory and yield absolutely nothing on GPU anymore.

The last day you'd be able to mine ETH with a 4GB ram card is expected to be the 23rd of Feb 2021. ETH might or might not move to PoS before that.

Note that you'll still be able to mine everything else.

Now up to you to decide.
I was thinking about 8gb because of Cryptonight. But as you said Armor is low quality is what I was worried about.
But I am thinking how bad could it be ?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 570 8GB V RX 580 4GB ??? on: June 22, 2018, 10:37:26 AM
I'm going to agree with most of what's already been said and say to go for the 8GB Armor card. The entire Armor line isn't anything special (IIRC the cooling on the cards is pretty crappy), the DAG won't reach 4GB until quite some time like you said, and the Sapphire Pulse is the better card, but the extra 4GB of memory is definitely worth it in the end if both 570s are priced the same. There's basically no reason to go for the 580, especially if it's $50 more expensive, as whatever minor gains you will get while mining don't justify the increased price.

What price are the 570 cards going for? I'm wondering if you're getting a decent deal on the cards, as profitability's continually dropping and the price you pay for cards affects your break even time greatly.
In US the going price should be around $300 which I saw in newegg's newsletter but here in India I am getting them for $360. GPUs were always expensive here due to low demand for gaming and high taxes. I can get access to free electricity too, so I am also thinking about making a full fledged farm but due to current uncertainty in mining (upcoming nextgen GPUs, ASICs & FPGA) I am on wait and watch mode. I will still buy a dozen of these 570s for a rig I will build this week.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best alt to mine for mid term investment - AMD GPU on: June 22, 2018, 06:59:19 AM
Hello
I know much about crypro but nothing about mining. Can someone here tell me how can mine coins like ethereum and others, specially PRiV coin?
Can I do it simply with my computer or some special hardware is needed like asic miner? I tried to google the same but couldn't understand anything. Any help is appreciated.
It's not worth mining anymore. To much competition. You can mine any coin with your computer but it will cost more electricity then what you will get. You will only get coins in decimals and you probably won't get any from the big coins like Ethereum. Ethereum is mined with graphic cards. With approximately $3000 worth of graphic cards you will get less than half Ethereum per month and you will get less month after month.
