142  Local / Бayнти и aиpдpoпы / Re: !!!!

Etherdelta on: July 16, 2018, 03:30:57 PM

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: June 15, 2018, 12:49:21 PM
As the market matures, this won't always be the case. This will gradually change once people get more familiar with Bitcoin. Currently it's the main vehicle for on boarding new crypto investors. As they become more comfortable with crypto in general, they'll invest elsewhere minimizing the effect.
The main catalyst for removing Bitcoin dependance is when exchanges that support many alt coins have direct fiat pairs. Right now, due to the challenges in getting money service business licenses in multiple jurisdictions, most either use BTC/ETH or USDT so BTC is typically always involved somewhere in the process.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will every crypto coin survive? on: June 15, 2018, 12:42:18 PM
The obviously all can't survive. Good luck picking the ones that do.
In hindsight, 5 years from now, you'll probably look back and think it was obvious which ones would win. I guarantee there are crypto tokens out there that will be worth 1000x in 5 years. But which ones?
A similar thing happened with car companies in the early 1900s. There were hundreds of different car companies, now there are just a handful. Back in 1920, would you have been able to pick which car companies would survive until 2018?
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: June 15, 2018, 12:39:09 PM
Are you looking for short term gains, or a long term investment? The answer can be different depending. Short term gains is a bit of a crapshoot at the moment, although I don't foresee anymore big dips in the very near future. Long term feels like a solid investment though. I personally think any chance to get in at or below $1.00 USD will be a good grab.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind falling Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2018, 11:29:40 AM
A lot of people will say its because of this news or that news, but the way I see it is Bitcoin was in a bubble (obviously), and now that bubble market cycle needs to fully complete, which unfortunately includes a 70-80% correction or more from the top over a period of time. Once this thing blows off all its steam and the masses start to capitulate and panic sell (even some of the vets might contemplate panic selling) is when the bottom will be found and the bubble cycle will complete, and then Bitcoin can finally catch its stride again from there to eventually find new highs.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC for bounties and airdrops on: June 15, 2018, 11:19:55 AM
The only "must" for a blockchain is to stay decentralized, permissionless, trustworthy, and secure, all of which KYC breaks. The only "must" for a currency is to stay fungible, which KYC breaks. A well-funded Foundation is a nice addition to either of these two things, but it's not as critical.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you thing BTC will reach a new ATH this year? on: June 14, 2018, 04:12:17 PM
With the lightning network bitcoin finally emerges as a currency. At that point huge demand is stimulated. It ceases being an asset subject to capital gains, and I think it gains the ability to execute some smart contracts in the lightning network...
Just needs a little more time to mature. The future is hugely bullish.
154  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware wallet vs Software wallet on: June 14, 2018, 10:27:01 AM
My opinionis that HW does not provide better security than a proper (redundant) encrypted backup if your intent is to use it as a cold storage. Storing your bitcoin in electrum on your daily use pc may not be the best idea. A hardware wallet is (in my view) a compromise between being able to do transactions (without going through the hassle of taking coins out of cold storage), while maintaining a reasonable level of protection against your pc being compromised.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: June 14, 2018, 10:21:21 AM
It is a good long term investment IMO. ZEC low marketcap is due to bigger inflation than other coins (12.5 new ZEC every blocks for only 3M total coins) which cause sell pressure but as soon as the reward for miners goes down the price might explode, like, possibly, dozens of thousands of dollars.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: June 14, 2018, 07:56:18 AM
If you are talking theoretical speeds, plenty of networks are lining up to claim their network can perform 1000000tx/s.
In terms of proven speeds and tx/s, XRP handles the highest TX/S at the most volume. This isn't up for debate, it has one of the highest volumes and is in large scale use - as much use as the top currencies, bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin. No other coin comes near the volume and speed of XRP.
Next would be XLM, but I'm not sure they have even had a single 24hr period of >$1bn volume.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: market red on: June 14, 2018, 07:51:46 AM
Step 1. Research top 200 coins on coinmarketcap. Understand what they are doing, how they are doing it, who is doing it, what problem they are solving, and why it matters. In short, learn the fundamentals.
Step 2. Buy coins that you like, that have great fundamentals.
Step 3. Hold.... for the most part. If a coin goes down, try to understand why. If the fundamentals haven't changed... Don't sell.
Step 4. Hold until it hits a major peak. This is the only trade I make these days. I wait until it peaks. Make sure it's actually peaked, and not just leveled for a minute and then continues to go. What you are looking for is for it to peak, for it to go down a bit, and then, IF it fails to reach the former peak AND volume is tapering off, then it is likely a good time to sell some, wait for it to drop and then buy back in.

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: June 08, 2018, 12:56:22 PM
Coinbase is great to use if you only want to use the most mainstream cryptos. IMHO Binance.com is the best exchange because it gives you a chance to invest in wayyyy more Alt cryptos and Mainstream cryptos. It also allows you to receive commission from referring friends or even strangers to use their exchange.  On top of that it allows you to use charts to view performance and could be used for traders who are interested in daily trading techniques instead of just holding long positions.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect from Bitcoin in 2018? on: June 08, 2018, 12:52:37 PM
This is what I think you will see in BTC
~$15k to $30k Thanksgiving spike, 2018
~$30k to $80k Thanksgiving Bull Run, 2019
~$50k to $250k Halving Bull Run, 2020
Some days I say $80k, other days I feel $250k, but...
2021 I suspect will actually be a very "trying" year. There are numerous things which I think will occur in 2021, which may harm Bitcoin, namely an 'overly optimistic' bull run - And other factors.
Crypto will ultra explode 2021, but say BTC gets to $100k in 2020. That's $1 Trillion per year spent on Hash Security, or $2.5 Billion daily needing to be funneled into Bitcoin to simply maintain, let alone grow.
This also means that minimum Satoshi cost for sending a BTC transaction over network (we will be pure 2nd layer by this point, obviously), would be $0.001 or $0.23 at 1 Sat / Byte, 225 Byte. If you speculate 10 Sat as 'standard', than $2.30 per BTC direct transfers, effectively preventing $5 transactions from using BTC direct.
