then with what frequency u can OC if you are lucky to 500 GH/S?? 237.5 or 250? I see some people get to 500 GH/s using 250 and others using 237,5 , why is that?

One of my S3's overclocks like a beast!
The other sadly doesn't suffer the same fate! it's hashing at 430 at 218, any higher and the rate drops!
Make sure to keep that beast cool (sub 35C pref), they really don't like getting warm when you run them at 237/250MHz (hash rate starts dropping and you might get and x or two after 10h+ of running) Unfortunately I cannot get them running much lower temps! they run at 40/42 at stock! it's due to the room temp that I can't get them lower! here is an updated pic of how they look after running overnight! Still going strong  how much Watts for those 494 GH/s ? i have these values, which one is for 250? first one?? and its values are ok?? (freq_value,chip_freq and timeout?)  |

Which one of these PSU(800 to 850 W) will you buy? As im not going to OC because im fine with default GH/s and temperature and Power consume, with 800 or 850 W better, i can power up 2 S3. So here are the possible ones: http://www.pccomponentes.com/fuentes_alimentacion/800w/850w/Just has to be less than 100 Eur. i know there are very good PSU and they cost more than 100 Eur but i dont want to spend that much if they just work fine. thanks! I use a Corsair RM1000 pulling 750 Watt from it (one OC and one Stuck) a bit overkill, but it's running at about 75% capacity which is save and easy for him. ok guys hehe. i will have to consider then spending a little more just to run them safe  |

UPS are shit, Why didn't Bitmain use DHL?
It took UPS 3 fucking days to even pick it up, Then they cant make their own scheduled delivery time, Pathetic company.

From the Antminer S3 Batch 4 you have an option to select your favourite shipping company. You can choose from the list of DHL, UPS, EMS. Selecting via EMS will make more delay and trouble in clearing customs. DHL is fast and they charge more brokerage than UPS. Why selecting EMS will make more delay and trouble in clearing customs??. Im from Madrid, spain, and when i ordered using UPS i had to pay customs. When i ordered in the past, 5 times to "taobao", a website for buying clothes and so on, all 5 packages from china, with an estimate weight of 7-8Kgs / package, each of those 5 times, i used EMS, takes longer to arrive, but i NEVER had to pay customs. So i dont know why you say EMS is a bad option. In worst case scenario, you will also pay what you would pay with UPS or DHL, because i suppose with DHL you pay customs too, but my experience ordering with EMS, packages of 7-8 kgs full of clothes, shoes, etc is that they never stopped them and i never had to pay customs. Lets see what happens. I ordered another 2 S3 from batch 4, using EMS Your side EMS may be good. At my side customs duty needs to be paid for EMS too. They will call you personally for customs clearance office. Then will sent the packet to your address from there. Extra burden, more time consuming. Depends on the country we belong to. I feels very comfortable with UPS than EMS. DHL I like the most even though its a bit more costly. Oh ok. Well, i will tell you what happens once they start delivering batch 4 |

Anyone noticed any improvements in hashrate or temperature after updating to the newest S3 firmware?
my hashrate the same, but temperature improved for me. Right now my 2 S3: 218.75 --> 365 W --> 412,72 GH/s 218.75 --> 369 W --> 434,55 GH/s |

Datos después de 11 horas funcionando los 2. Uno de los S3 da más GH/s que el otro. No he probado a hacer OC de momento en ninguno. Los discarded y accepted dicen que es que están al revés, porque en la pool me da el total correctamente.   he flasheado con el nuevo firmware los 2 S3 y la verdad que genial, me ha bajado la temperatura y se han solucionado cosas que pasaban de unos pitidos molestos cuando no detectaba hasheo etc |

Data after 11 hours running both S3(one has higher GH/s than the other one, didnt try to OC): should i use latest firmware? yeah i have those famous BEEPS also every hour i think How do i know my current firmware?? I just found this: Firmware Version OpenWrt Barrier Breaker r38031 / LuCI Trunk (svn-r9909) Kernel Version 3.10.12 i will flash first the lower GH/s antminer and lets see what happens edit: wow now GH/s is higher 439,90 GH/s. lets see in a few hours |
