141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the HERO we never knew we needed on: April 10, 2024, 11:12:07 PM
My question to us right now do you think Bitcoin will eventually erase the commercial banking sector???

Bitcoin can become successful on annual basis but they cannot completely erase the use of banking system because still people are in favor of using bank. Most of the people are not familiar with bitcoin so I think acceptance of bitcoin for them will be difficult at start as old people rarely trust digital money and digital investment.

Bitcoin was considered as a currency in past but now you will know that instead of using it as a currency people are using it as an investment  tool and I think in future it will just be use to increase the value of cash.

I don't understand what you mean by annual, but Bitcoin has been with us for more than a decade already and it's proven to be a good investment or store of value and even hedge like in the pandemic wherein I believed some of the rich and wealthy people put their money on Bitcoin so that it won't loss any value.

But as for making the banking sector obsolete? No, that's not what Bitcoin is design in the first place. It was originally for P2P and a payment scheme. It's that people in early days found out that they can exchange and trade it with money and make profits. But it's good to see that some banks are cool with Bitcoin right now, not all of them but a small percentage and that is good enough for us.
142  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nextslot.bet - Random Slot Picker on: April 10, 2024, 10:44:05 PM
Not sure which casino slot to try next? Looking for something fresh and exciting? Nextslot randomly selects a game for you from a variety of top-notch providers. Customize the settings to your preferences, and let the tool choose a game at random.

Choose your preferred game providers or leave them all selected by default. Select additional features such as Megaways or Bonus Buy for your next slot adventure. Simply click "Roll" to spin the reels and discover your next favorite game.

https://nextslot.bet/

Suggestions and new features ideas are welcome!

This looks interesting, many of us would have been used to doing this the manual way by selecting the preferences we want base on the available features all by ourselves, but now since there is a system set in place to perform all these functions for gamblers, it will be interesting to see that we also play along in giving a try, just that i don't know if this is something you have developed by yourself OP or you only have the opportunity of sharing such with us after your own discovery online.

Yes, and as a slot player this is really a good idea knowing that let's say we have a bad day and we don't know what kind of games we wanted. And to at least remove that bad luck, we might go in this website and let it pick the slot games for us.

And who know, maybe with a sting of luck, the chosen one might be a great game that will give you that needed breath of fresh air and win some money. Others have put up their suggestions already, so by any chance good luck and hopefully it will be a go website for most gamblers here to try.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Patterns in Baccarat? on: April 10, 2024, 10:12:44 PM
Am I missing something strategy which is almost similar to card counting of blackjack?
The best strategy that you can use for Baccarat is still the martingale strategy but which is also very risky. As martingale can be good, it is still the most risky strategy, especially if not done accurately and without greediness. All those games, also including roulettes are all pure luck. What I just do is that I risk little amount of money on them because I know I am prone to lose more than win as house edge is real.

Yeah, and I think Martingale system was built around this games, as obviously, you doubled your bet to at least gain back the money that you have lose. Or do the Reverse martingale when you are in a winning run. And if I'm not mistaken, it's about like 45% chances of winning either Banker or Player.

As for any betting patterns, still depends on luck. But I will tell you that there are gambling days that I really feel very confident on winning a tie. If I remember it correctly, I won like 5 out of 6, or 6 out of 7, just looking at some patterns and I "believed" that the next card will be a tie or at least a pair. Odds for a pair pay is 1:11 by the way, tie, 1:8. So I was very happy, but wasn't able to duplicate that feat again.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 10, 2024, 08:34:07 PM
And then we have this P2P trading gone wrong, Hong Kong Teen Rescued from Crypto-Related Assault.

Quote
According to the report, the victim was lured under the pretense of meeting people and trading crypto assets but was then held captive and beaten by a group of nine suspects demanding HK$180,000 (around $23,000) in crypto profits.

The victim may not have been bragging about his Bitcoin, but he found himself the victim here from criminal groups. So if we will do trade face to face, might be better in public places wherein there are a lot of people around to at least minimize this kind of risk.

And we should be very careful on who we met online and who we talk about our crypto investment and whatnot.

Interesting development here, Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis Signs Multifight Promotional Deal With Matchroom

Quote
Eddie Hearn and Matchroom have won the race to sign one of boxing’s hottest properties, as Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis has signed a multi-fight promotional deal in partnership with Boots Promotions.

https://www.boxingscene.com/jaron-boots-ennis-signs-multifight-promotional-deal-with-matchroom--182754

He held the IBF 147 lbs belt, however, Terrence Crawford said that he is not interested in fighting Ennis. Not that he duck him or what, but according to him, he is not a PPV star and it seems that Crawford after becoming a free agent, it just looking for big money fights.

Career wise it might be a good move for Ennis as Eddie Hearn can guide his career better as now he has the belt. And we have been waiting for him, Crawford and Spence to go and fight each other. Maybe this is a great time since Hearn is a good manager and maybe he can talk to this guys, offer them good money just for us fans to see this great fight.

But in any case there is no progress for this year, as this two will have a rematch or Crawford talking about a Canelo fight, and looking at the rankings, he could defend his belt to their #3 rank which is Cody Crowley just to get busy for this year.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 09, 2024, 11:07:54 PM
@Baofeng. I reckon Inoue should not fight against someone without a big name. This thread is only 4 pages, however, the scam ICO fight of Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is more than 5 pages already hehehe. Why is this? This certainly implies that Inoue has not yet reached the same type of popularity like Pacman. Also, Inoue's fight is in Japan? He should begin to fight his championship defenses in as Vegas the fight capital of the world. There will also be more money in his purse if he will fight in Las Vegas.
But who he will fight, in his division when he is the king of all the organizations, the closest one so far is Nery, but when he steps into the Featherweight Division things will be interesting and exciting, as the featherweight is loaded with tough fighters.

I agree, Inoue has face the best of this division has to offer, Fulton, Tapales and now Nery. He just needed Casimero in his hitlist and then he complete cleaning up this division. This thread is only 4 pages before the OP has put this very early and we must have forget about this fight because there are big fights that is coming as well. But I do agree that Inoue should step out of his comfort zone and fight in the US.

If he decides to go further like Manny Pacquiao did he will be on the biggest challenge, the Featherweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight will have a lot of challenges so the biggest question is can he hold on to these divisions?

It will be a big test for Inoue at 126 lbs if he decided to move up. Still there are news that him and Tank Davis is possible for 135 lbs but let's see. I think this could still be considered as a great fight for Inoue.

Tank vs Inoue will be one big fight I think the whole of Japan will fly wherever the fight will be. And this will really be a big money. At 135lbs, Inoue will still be a fast fighter and can fight toe-to-toe with Tank. However, they will not likely make this fight happen until there is a good reason for one to be thrown out the window.

We can wish that this fight is going to happen in the future, just like when we thought that Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar Dela Hoya is not going to happen because Manny is too small. But it did materialized thanks to Larry Merchant for initiating this.

So that could happen though, and if I'm not mistaken, Leonard Ellerbe also talks about this fight and he said that the weight different is too big.

For Inoue, he will have to go as far as 130 lbs to see if he can still be consistent with power and speed at this weight class.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 09, 2024, 10:37:51 PM
What I don't understand is why it's on Netflix this time. Correct me if I'm mistaken but since when has Netflix been interested in such events?
To be honest, after seeing what Netflix does and what their narrative is, I would be more surprised if it was streamed on ESPN or any sports channel. There is a partnership between Netflix and Paul's MVP (Most Valuable Promotions). Netflix is sticking to ‘sports-adjacent’ streaming and that's why it is on Netflix, a very good deal for both parties.

By the way, it's kinda funny how Jake Paul turned from a Disney kid to Youtuber and then into a boxer. He is a very smart businessman, a very impressive for his age, he deserves merit for that.

We can say that a boy has grown up into a man. I dont know people hate him so much. He has stopped recording silly movies and content that degrade younger generation, and started promoting sport. For me this is much better (even though he is popularizing violence) than uploading stupidity like 24h challenges or wasting money on silly stuff. I might not support his strategy of building fame based on other people fame, but that is how promotion work today.

He really is very intelligent in the art of creating content for the internet, he probably went into sports to bring even more people to watch his content... Working with the internet you have to be versatile and have the ability to create any content whatever. , that is, what will bring more views and money, in this we have to agree that Jake Paul is very competent.

Yeah, and he is the one started this whole new trend, a prime mover if you can call it that way. From a Youtuber who earns decent money, to now one of the biggest attraction (I hate to say it, but he is right now). He had a company now that focuses on his fight and now having the best fighter in Mike Tyson, a legend and potentially earning him millions from the joint venture with Netflix.

So as much as we hate him, like Floyd, you can call this kid a genius. He knows how to promote his fight base on his background as a content creator and fans are going crazy when we all heard that he will be facing the legendary Mike Tyson and the boxing community are very alive and even 50/50 if this is a good fight taken by Mike Tyson or not.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: April 09, 2024, 10:14:26 PM
And Oscar Dela Hoya continues to troll Canelo Alvarez with this poll,

I think this will be bad for Munguia if his promoter as going to wake up the animal in Canelo. Oscar even poses a picture with Benavidez if I'm not mistaken. But I think this is jus to test Canelo in like a psyche war. But then again it could backfire big time, IMHO.

Oscar De La Hoya probably thought Canelo will win the survey. Too bad, it is the top cherry picker Tank Davis that is leading the survey. Good call by the voters. Tank Davis is already nearing his 30s but is yet to fight a world champion at 135 where he stayed for many years. Canelo deserved the second ranking. But I do not understand why Demetrius Andrade is included. The guy is one of the most avoided fighter in recent years like Rigondeaux.

Yes, this could be the plan of Oscar after all, some form of humiliation and trolling for Canelo, but unfortunately, the fans voted for Tank Davis.

Of all the promoters Oscar is the one who loves to Troll because he is also a boxer he knows that psyche war could throw off a boxer from his game, so he is doing this strategy against Canelo, but Canelo has been through all this all his boxing career after Canelo beat the hell out of Munguia he will the one trolling Oscar.

It's only a month to go before the fight and both fighters do not thrash-talk each other they have mutual respect with each other, but knowing Canelo and Munguia will put all their anger in the ring, so far only a few people believe that Munguia will have a chance against Canelo, but who knows Munguia is capable of pulling up an upset, we just never know.

Everyone trolls from time to time, including the old and senile Bob Arum. But Oscar definitely is in top of the list, as he has done it many times already and he himself was a victim of the internet troll (who would remember the fishnet image of him?)

But going back to the fight, tall order for the young Munguia here, he should have a perfect plan or at least watch the Bivol vs Canelo fight to know the blue print on how to beat Canelo in his own game.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: April 09, 2024, 09:32:14 PM
What is your opinion towards my research that online casino gambling has more of possesed players who stakes to make profits while the land base gambling is more of players who stakes for funs?

I have been playing for more than a decade in a land base casinos and I will say that I have seen players who are happy or have some funs while playing, but that is if they are going to have one time fun and entertainment. Because after that, talk to some of them and they say that they have lost a lot of money and now they are going to chase their losses.

So not sure if there is some truth on your research, not to bash it or something. Online though is very quick, I mean you can lose in streak and obviously you will not be happy about it. As let's say if you lose that way on land base, maybe you can just around and watch other gamblers or be entertain if there are live singers in the stage. At least you will not be mentally affected after losing big in a traditional base casinos.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why not a new one? on: April 09, 2024, 08:47:15 PM
Why not a person with the same motivation and the intention to create a new enhanced Bitcoin ( ofc their alternative name ) just with the features and stuff, launch this new coin protocol, and also keep its supply limited just like the Bitcoin? let's say I as a person created the "X" coin with a new consensus mechanism like POP (proof of performance) or PoW itself and an enhanced transaction speed with more no of transactions per block by creating a set of master blocks interconnected with the traditional blocks of the same size 4Mb, with predetermined values already stored inside the master block as a cash-register and once a transaction is initiated a block records on the ledger and the master ledger already initiated the transaction, just waits for the confirmation from the block. I think this will reduce the time per transaction and make the blocks ready in less time for the next transaction initiation, and this can greatly enhance the 7 transactions --> 200+ maybe transactions. I don't know just saying, that even people who are involved with the development of Bitcoin will disagree with me in creating a new cryptocurrency like this.

It's because it's not that original and we have seen a lot of Bitcoin fork that didn't succeed isn't it? So it's not about the same motivation or what not, it's about Bitcoin becoming the prime mover in crypto that it become so successful. So in any competition, if you are the first, chances are you will be supported, but if you say copy the concept and just put some improvement on it, still people are going to see that as just a copy cat of the original and will be frown upon.

You can say that to Ethereum as well, there are a lot of it's competition, but they still remain as the top altcoin despite so many projects that are better than them in the space right now, faster, better layering solution and others. But still in the second best crypto behind Bitcoin.

152  Economy / Economics / Re: "Various aspects of Bitcoin and crypto economics" on: April 08, 2024, 09:42:40 PM
For me though, I don't like to overthink and complicate things with regards to Bitcoin.

If government accept it as money or legal tender then good, just like what El Salvador has done, and they have reserves too. And with the incoming bull run, they will pose to make a lot of money.

If other doesn't want to accept it, authoritative government, then so be it.

We can't force Bitcoin to everyone, if you want to used it as hedge, store of value, sound money, it's up to you.

I'm just interested to see who will win the 3 ETH as I wasn't able to see it live because of timezone difference but here it is,

~snip~

And it will be awesome if he is a member of our community.

In any case, congrats to him, value at $10,000, that is a huge win and we also have to thank of course Metawin for another successful promotion.
Someone called Nobody.eth won 3 Ethereums. This user is a member of metawin since 2022 and I can't find anyone with this name on Bitcointalk, so I think he is not our community member but there is a chance he is our member and uses a different username.
This is event's link - https://metawin.com/competition/26835/

Yeah, probably, and that name looks or sounds familiar to me, I can't recall when I see that name. But I also search the forum and can't find that username.

Maybe he is a member, but chooses to a different user name. And not that he/she won, we will not known the individual, but it's good though, we want privacy and the winner will got it.

So next is SOL, I do agree that it's on the current hype as one altcoins that could give us a good return this bull run. And what a way to earn $500 worth thru Metawin's event.

I just search it on google but to many recommendation show so I maybe there's no exact way to track the winner and for sure he would choose to be anonymous since there are people don't usually brag their current achievement especially for the price he won in the contest. If he's here in forum then its good since for sure he's enjoying his winnings from metawin.

The hype on SOL is so huge that's why its smart move for metawin to ride with the hype since for doing such actions maybe they could attract a lot of people are now following the developments and latest happening in the ecosystem. Then maybe by doing this to many people will get attracted on their casino.

Yes, and that might take Metawin to the next level, as they are one step ahead of the competition by having SOL and so this is the results,

https://twitter.com/Meta_Winners/status/1777371382705270818

And that is huge money there.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: April 08, 2024, 08:46:33 PM

Until Canelo will be back to his old self in terms of taking risk against a strong opponent, people will continue to criticize him.

I don't think he will go back to taking risks after his loss to Bivol which is very ugly, I don't think he wants a repeat of that loss and the one that will likely give him another humiliating loss like that is David Benavidez, on his first loss against Mayweather his excuse is he is still young and learning but on his loss to Bivol he doesn't have a good excuse.

I agree, I don't see him going back to his old self of risking everything in the line, he is not getting any younger and probably that is the perks of getting mature in boxing. You know that you just have a couple of fights inside of you so why not go for the biggest paycheck with less risk and less damage physically? Specially when he lost to Bivol, he might not want another L in his record.

If he loses again to Benavidez that will ruin his legacy and will stop his claim as the greatest Mexican boxer,
Canelo doesn't want to lose to another Mexican he prefers other nationalities than to his fellow Mexican boxers.

I think Mexicans still consider Chavez Jr as their greatest Mexican boxer. Canelo could be on the top, but him not fighting Benavidez at 168lbs or 175lbs, will really hurt his legacy and even if he said that he will not be affected by what fans and analyst are saying.

156  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why not create a Gambling platform on Market narrative? on: April 06, 2024, 11:32:07 PM
A few years ago, NFT was launched and it set the market ablaze. Many NFT projects emerged at that time, which left investors confused. They began investing in new NFT projects without understanding them, resulting in significant losses. To this day, these investors have not been able to recover from their losses unless they sold their NFT.

Currently, meme coins are gaining popularity, with a new coin appearing in the market almost daily or weekly. The prevailing belief is that meme coins offer the highest ROI, which they are delivering.

Then, why not create a platform for predicting the performance of any cryptocurrency or a platform for predicting future trends in the market or both?

What are your thoughts on this?

Yes, as others have said, there is Futuur.

But I think the closest that we might get into this kind of prediction is Binary Options? Remember that time around 2014-2017 there was a signature campaign about this kind of platform? Secondstrade.com, but then again, it could be different from what the is trying to come up with.

158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing poker online better than offline? on: April 05, 2024, 09:15:15 PM
That's a hard no.  You have no idea who is colluding against you when you are online.  I was around for the whole full tilt debacle where there was cheating happening where people could see everyone's cards.  In person you can get an easier feel for tells too.  I'm a player who needs to see people's reactions, I don't just play the cards I play the people too.  In person is way better.

I think that's one angle to look at, and if I'm not mistaken, there are casinos that have been accused of colluding or at least you don't know that you are playing against a bot so obviously you will lose the game.

So for me, it's better to play offline, I mean that's where you will get the experience to become a good poker player. In online, you can just hide your face and think that you are good. But in face to face, sitting with someone, it's very different, lot of tension specially if both of you have a good hand and going all-in.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu - Seabastian Fundora For The WBC And WBO Super Welterweight March 30 on: April 04, 2024, 10:40:19 PM
Fundora’s freakish height caused this to become a really messy and bloody fight after Tszyu’s head clashed with Fundora’s elbow. I expected this fight to be stopped by the ringside doctor or the referee but the pace slowed down significantly and the injuries on both fighters didn’t get too much worse.

Despite the height difference Tszyu was still able to hit Fundora cleanly and it looked early on like he would get a clear win. Unfortunately, the cut was affecting his vision. This allowed Fundora to jab his way to a close decision victory. The situation with the titles now becomes complicated because Crawford successfully petitioned the WBO to become mandatory but PBC had other plans involving Errol Spence. Tszyu also deserves a rematch against Fundora.

I would agree, the referee should stop the fight as obviously that elbow really did damage to Tszyu. But they let it go throughout the next 10 rounds and we can that if affected Tim in the fight.

I think it boils down to Fundora's decision, he is the champion, so he can either go with the rematch in Australia, or fight Crawford as per WBO. So let's see what his decision is. But for me, I wanted a rematch for Tim, I think he deserves if after what happened in this fight. And Fundora should be all-in to settle this score. He will have to travel though to Tim's Australia.

It's one of the bloodiest fights I've seen, both fighters soaking wet with each other's blood Tim Tszyu loses his focus because the blood is dripping in his eyes and he doesn't want to slug it out with Fundora because the punches might aggravate and worsen those cuts.

I have it drawn in my scorecard, but it can either way, but both fighters deserve a rematch Fundora proves he is ready to become a champion.
Checking the poll I created no one among us voted for Fundora, so we can call this an upset?

Tim Tszyu by KO   - 8 (100%)
Tim Tszyu By Decision   - 0 (0%)
Fundora  By KO   - 0 (0%)
Fundora  By Decision   - 0 (0%)

Yes, we really didn't see that Fundora will win this fight. But then again, the elbow was really a big factor int his fight and it's just not the way we wanted it.

And so it looks like we will see Fundora vs Crawford, next but there are news that it could be delayed as Crawford is asking too much or demanding that he will get the lion share of the split. Also, Fundora will have to take a rest as he himself is injured with a broken nose I presumed. But it could happen at the end of the year, most likely November-December if both parties have agreed.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subriel Matias VS Liam Paro IBF Super Lightweight June 15th Manati, Puerto Rico. on: April 04, 2024, 10:15:22 PM
A couple of years ago Paro was already ranked #1 by the WBO. I thought he was going to fight for the vacant belt when Josh was thinking of moving up in weight. But later on Teofimo replaced him at #1 and then fought and won the belt. Paro is fucked up in the rankings and even dropped outside the top 10 in the WBO's March ranking. Now he is finally getting his title shot but in an odd way, he is travelling to Puerto Rico where it is rare to see travelers win. I'm rooting for him but I guess he will get KO'd here. Hopefully, there is no Rican official in the fight to make it fair.

If my memory serves me right, he suffered a injury for more than year, then come back and fight Montana Love late last year. And so with that win, he is line up to fight Matias for the IBF title and it's good to see him back and given the chance at the belt.

Going to be a great fight, Matias name is hype right now, but this is going to be a big test for him as Paro is also a heavy hitter with more than 60%+ knockout ratio. I guess his team is willing to travel to PR not known to be a hostile country though, so I guess the risk is worth for Paro.

It's always great to see fights between undefeated fighters challenging for the title, I became an instant fan of Subriel after beating Ergashev I thought then that Ergashev was a better fighter and was more powerful than Subriel but it turned out Subriel is the strongest.

I like Subriel's style he is a pressure fighter who loves to take just to give his own, he will dare you to a slugfest, and then leave the better man the last man standing, this is the kind of style the boxing community wants to see.
I think he can take Paro, and since it's going to be held in Puerto Rico that's additional motivation for Subriel to beat Liam Paro.

It's Matias style, unconventional, has a relentless pace and there are times that he won't throw many punches and preserve his energy, but when he smells blood he will go for it. Another thing is that he is a slow started and so Paro should look at that and take advantage of it.

But it's Matias homecourt so expect that he will want to go for a knockout and impressed his fans here. No odds yet listed from our favorite sports bookies, but I'm seeing that Paro will be like 3:1 or 4:1 underdog is this fight. And I would agree if that is the odd as Matias will smoke Paro here.
