141  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] MMGen, a complete Bitcoin command-line online/offline wallet solution on: November 27, 2016, 02:13:34 PM
Downloading a copy of the live boot image to try tonight.

Best of luck! Check in here if any questions or problems arise.

Hi managed to get it running inside qemu, though the graphical version didn't work. (Cli is all I need anyway) I probably need to tweak a few settings to optimize it. I look forward to digging in more.

Downloading a copy of the live boot image to try tonight. I unfortunately run a custom bitcoind based on 0.5.4 so can't use it under my daily driver. But project looks very nice and piqued my interest enough to give it a shot.

Kudos for doing the right thing and signing the images as well.  Cool

As we are aficionados of 'rare,' check out the 'Inflation Control' section of this post -- this is flat-out creepy to me (quite apart from having Yobit as its only exchange . . . ):

https://wavestalk.org/crypto-scene/xde-ii-gorgeous-wallet!-new-promotional-rewards!!-20-pos-rare-22k-coins!/msg1571/?topicseen#msg1571

I've always argued that the number of units in a currency is not as important as claimed in respect of 'rare.' These guys are claiming that XDE is 'rare' because, I suppose, it has only 1,000 units at launch . . . but its POS rate goes as high as 120%.

Clicked link, saw `VegasGuy` - Instantly knew what this scam is all about.  Roll Eyes

Ta for your opinion, S. -- wanna guess the price of Xbt on Xmas Day? (here and at the Tux troll box):

IMZ 840/ rat 995/ Bitcoin National 650/ miniteef 770/ bitpython 830/ Ian Ridgwell 812

Don't know much about the trollbox you refer to, but I'll throw $750 US out there as I my guess.

Here is a bet you may get a rise out of: http://www.contravex.com/2016/11/18/an-exercise-in-wot-gambling-on-very-very-silly-timescales/

Just a (silly) gentleman's bet since we no longer have BitBet to operate these things from. WoT works fine for these things though. Smiley

I agree with you, this project is finished and the Dev is a rude Bitch.

The second part sounds a bit harsh, but describes the reality pretty well Grin

What about the first part... well, they always can 'wash and repeat', and then be again 'sorry for your loss'.

Actually c-tress and her friend shinohai, both of those scammers do not even try to cover anything - they just openly post - "sorry for your loss", and link you to the site where you can see how they scammed you and took your money. Thats an honest play (to their standards). Probably they have finished this round, and are counting the profits.

Did you guys think those scammers will screw only Yobit coins holders, and leave others with profits? Roll Eyes Almost everyone was silent when I was arguing with c-tress and her trolls, trying to save Yobit coin owners. Hoping the owners of coins at Bittrex will be treated better..? Really..? Scammers are scammers, they will scam everyone.

I am sorry people like Darkydank or vella honestly believed in this scam project, and now get such responses to their constructive offers. This 'project' does not deserve those people following it.

No need for me to scam as long as their are morons like you that don't understand how crypto works, store your coins in shady exchanges, then whine because SFYL occurs.

If you don't control the private keys, you don't own the coins. http://unmitigatedrisk.com/?p=432

Hi, I have been a long time bagholder but am extremely concerned at the current state of things.

There seems to be no direction currently, yes there is a Trello board but investors in the coin have absolutely no idea what is going on... or if anything is actually being worked on for that matter. I went into the Slack channel today and the place is dead, you could hear a pin drop, it is that quiet.

Covertness, what is going on? I noticed that you haven't been in the Slack channel very often lately, especially since late October when you completed the burning. Are you okay? Do you need help with anything? We, the community, are here to help you so please reach out to us if you do need any help with absolutely anything at all.

When can we expect the correct existing total KR amount to be updated on the Explorer?

Can we expect any new PR material shortly?

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we want Krypton to succeed. Please, please do talk to us and let us know if you need our help. There are a lot of us behind you and we want to support the project but we need a leader.

Thanks

Sorry For Your Loss

Sorry for my loss? Come again?

I may be mistaken, but aren't you one of the KR inner circle who dumped and no longer visit the Slack channel?

You are indeed mistaken. I don't do slack at all, only irc. I generally don't hold any coins besides Bitcoin very long, so nothing to dump.

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Krypton, KR - BaaS Corp & Open Source, Public Blockchain for Business/IoT on: November 04, 2016, 02:11:37 PM

Definitely exciting times ahead. Now that KR were burned, the coin will be more scare thus making its price and demand increase. That being said, I think that soon, people would become more interested into KR, and price will begin to rise.

Sure the Krypton coins got much more rare, because in fact this dev has burned the coins belonging to her community members who had coins stuck on Yobit (which is actually the first Krypton exchange if you remember, and so it was suggested by devs to trade there). So the part of the community got value increased at the expense of robbing the other part of the same community. What a great achievement! Grin

This is not a fault covertress, only Yobit, so stop writing such nonsense ...

This is not a nonsense at all, Greg. You are probably not aware of the context of my post above. Sure there is a fault of Yobit too. But with all the respect, if you care to read my last posts in this thread (specifically this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368118.msg16596401#msg16596401, and few ones following it), you will clearly see the swap could have been done even without help from Yobit, however the dev has decided to avoid doing it (bringing up all kinds of bullshit excuses).
Don't be fooled by all the attacks and nonsense posted by covertress and her friends/shills, to justify their unwillingness to do that work (probably was too much of a burden for them), as all that is just a smoke to cover the obvious.
Truly saying, I think covertress was just mislead by the guys who consult her (one of them posting here periodically), but that doesn't change the fact she has screwed part of her community without good reason.

drays, you are nothing but a two bit troll.

I wish that I had the burned KR back just so that I could have the extreme pleasure of burning your coins once again, you ignorant child.

Correction covertress, try 3-bit troll. There is an extra chromosome there.

Sorry For Your Loss

We have ALOT of nodes and a few Official ones that Fk has recently setup! If people lack the ability to create a .conf file and put addnode= in it perhaps they need to study crypto more before investing in it.

I'm glad to see the price spikes we are seeing, Illiquidity will be a god send to uno and if those cryptsy coins get put into good hands we might see some really nice spikes! Smiley

If you go back in this thread history and see the lulz I had for a certain member who couldn't do this (or just flat-out refused).

In all seriousness though, it isn't hard. I'm sure a regular node list is available somewhere and it is as easy as you say.

How to restore my wallet backup ?
In ubuntu.
My other wallet is in win10 OS. I have wallet.dat downloaded in my linux version.

simply copy the wallet.dat to your /home/<user>/.krypton/ folder and fire it up.

do you have a conf file?

Forever the rallying cry of the Unobtanium community!  Cool
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Krypton, KR - BaaS Corp & Open Source, Public Blockchain for Business/IoT on: October 28, 2016, 01:01:59 AM

Seeing as how YoBit refuses to respond to repeated requests to cooperate, there is little hope this will happen. If you don't own the private keys (or the people you entrusted your funds to refuse to verify) then you don't own the crypto. Simple as that.

Sure. But once again: those old OR coins will worth absolutely nothing after swap is completed. So the worst thing Yobit could do, is to dump them for 1 sat on his own market, to the people who did not realize the swap is ended! Then again, they never have done so, and even is they somehow do that (which I am 100% sure what wouldn't), there is no harm, as that market will be officially abandoned after swap.

This begs the question, why do you not put all the energy and effort you use repeatedly asking here into pestering YoBit to cooperate with covertress and the community? She has made it quite clear that without their cooperation there is no good way to verify the funds held there, as these have to be manually checked. YoBit codes unfortunately do not offer that proof. You seem to have a misunderstanding of how cryptographic proof works.

As for people that did not know the swap is drawing to a close, this information has been published in numerous outlets all over the cryptosphere. It is expected that anyone who is trading should perform due diligence in regards to their investments. If they lose out it is no one's fault but their own.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Krypton, KR - BaaS Corp & Open Source, Public Blockchain for Business/IoT on: October 28, 2016, 12:40:51 AM
I understand all this and I am only testing it out for drays. He sent me a KR Yobit code for 10 coins and I entered the code in and guess what I received the 10 KR coins.

I think what drays is trying to say is that he sends you KR yobit codes which you can redeem and then you send him the new KR, isn't it the same as doing it through email? but instead you are receiving Yobit codes which are redeemable as I just did the test and received the 10 coins.

I'm not trying to cause any arguments here okay I'm only doing this because I was asked to test out the idea.

So how do you:
1) Get the KR off YoBit without a functional blockchain.
2) Cryptographically prove the provenance of those coins (i.e. that they were in fact legitimate before the cutoff date)

?

Many thanks vella83 for testing this and confirming it works well! I hope you will not be attacked the way I was attacked here.
Folks, if you needs to attack someone here, Please attack me, not vella83, as she was just trying to help everyone here as I asked her!

@shinohai: those are good questions. Here are my answers to them:

1. You do not need to move those funds out of Yobit. They will be collected on one account belonging to IT devs, and can be left there forever, and forgotten. The old KR coins will have zero value after swap is completed, so it doesn't matter what will happen with them. The people who send the Yobit codes, will get their corresponding amount of new KR sent to their new KR wallet address via new OR blockchain.

2. Legitimacy of coins on Yobit was never questioned by anyone, including the Dev. As far as I know Yobit has closed their wallet at the same time as Bittrex did, if not sooner. So funds there should be as legit as the ones being swapped way Bittrex.

If you have any more question, please ask. I think we could be able to carry a civilized discussion.

Seeing as how YoBit refuses to respond to repeated requests to cooperate, there is little hope this will happen. If you don't own the private keys (or the people you entrusted your funds to refuse to verify) then you don't own the crypto. Simple as that.

I have been asked to test this Yobit code idea to swap the KR on Yobit so I have decided to give it a try and see what happens. I myself don't have any KR on Yobit but if it does work with what drays is saying would it be possible to do the swap that way? By the way how many KR coins are on Yobit?

vella85, I don't know how many times I have to say this... KR ACCOUNTS ON YOBIT ARE LOCKED. YOU CAN NOT SEND/RECEIVE OLD KR.

I CANNOT CREATE A YOBIT ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE OLD KR INTO. END OF STORY.

Unless Yobit agrees to a swap, no old KR from Yobit will be exchanged.

I understand all this and I am only testing it out for drays. He sent me a KR Yobit code for 10 coins and I entered the code in and guess what I received the 10 KR coins.

It's not yet clear who is the idiot here. We will find out soon.

If you were any good at all at "logical analysis" you could surely process what has been said to you 1000 times already.  Roll Eyes

Not a shill, I'm just here for the lulz. We already laugh at you daily in other forums.

Kid, I am not one whom you can confuse by your ungrounded statements. No sensible argument was ever given by covertress, except just attempts to prove me wrong by meaningless statements and pictures. I am a developer myself, have an education far superior to yours, and managing multiple full-time employees, so I know what I tell.

You are here for the lulz, that's ok, but would be nice if you let others speak. I still hope to meet a real community member here, who would try to understand what we are talking about, but not only want to 'lulz'.

Take care.

Oh look he lives in a fantasy world too. I rather doubt you know anything at all regarding my education, etc. You are .... not even in a WoT anywhere and you whine daily about shitcoins on yobit. Big Success.

** Krypton has not given up on Yobit although they have not replied to our repeated requests to swap KR. Krypton will not burn the remaining unswapped coins until Yobit has been contacted and agrees to swap.

I've not had a response to one of my tickets in over 6 months, you'll be lucky to hear anything from them and if you do it will likely be gibberish.

I have some kr at yobit thankfully not much.

There is a perfectly good way to swap coins at Yobit (100% tested and working), if devs are willing to do so. I have tried to explain corertress how to do that, but it turned out to be a hard task... Probably she is exhausted after fighting with both hurricane and hackers... Roll Eyes

If you wish, I can explain it to you (it's pretty simple), hope you could 'translate' it to devs.

Truly saying, I would probably even offer a small bounty to the brave man who could understand this simple procedure (that's easy part), and explain it to covertress so she understands it too (that's the hard part).

The main point I want to stress here is: if devs indeed want to help their community with Yobit swap, there is a way.

THERE IS NO WORKABLE WAY TO DO A YOBIT SWAP

KR Yobit accounts are locked for withdrawal/deposit.

drays, just because you can transfer KR within Yobit, between your own account and Yobit codes, does not mean that those KR can be received in another account. If you don't believe me, try sending a Yobit code to a friend.

Sure, I will try that, and inform you and everyone here about the result! As I already told you once, I have  created KR Yobit code on one of my Yobit accounts, and successfully redeemed it on my second unrelated Yobit account. To me, this 100% proves it is possible to transfer KR to another account on Yobit. But if you necessarily need me to try to send fund to another person, I will do that.

Hold the gun, covertress, don't shoot until I complete this  Grin

Guys, Anyone from Krypton community, anyone here wants to get free KR on Yobit? Please drop me a PM, and I will send you KR Yobit code to redeem! I suppose it should be interesting for you to test this, right?

If there will be no one responding, I will ask one of my friends to test this with me.

Here covertress, you might the 64 pack for this one:

Unless Yobit agrees to a swap, any KR you own there will be lost.

Sorry for your loss.

This is the greatest thing I have seen all day. Thank you covertress.
