GG Saintloup, I placed too much hope in some guys, including my favorite team, Real is the powerhouse of La Liga, Xavi will not have happy ending, blablabla but all deserved. famososMuertos I think everything fell for us once Frenkie got injured, such is our destiny.

Championship game is the hardest to predict in the cup to me. Leicester and Southampton are crazy random in last 5 games.

Saved all my picks, no research, pure gut Smiley

No disrespect to FUN or altcoins but you guys always knew it was going down in this pattern right? Just see FUN for the added benefits of Premium and you'll never be disappointed Smiley

Anyway, just checking in to see about Lambo and seems like it's not happened yet. So it just means I'm delaying my mini retirement lol GL all.

But multimaster was free as I recall, and actually you can go really close to the top if you're very good, whereas this Jackpot has fewer people playing because it's paying fee and I guess that means fewer people but also harder to get into prize positions. Anyone won anything yet from the Jackpots? The $20 fee per round is a bit too high for a lot of people I should think Smiley
I can't recall the multimaster being free because we've had so many iterations from one event to another. Still, the one part that stuck with me is that it's usually "winner takes everything" and i'm always the type who prefers different prizes.

I agree the buy-in fee for this week's EPL round was a bit high, I hope we'll get the same buy-in fee as the IPL for the future rounds.

I think it was free, as long as you wagered or bet a certain amount, then it came to bitcointalk forum in a way, and sometimes you still get jeremypwr promotions which are totally free if you join certain pools or BSFL (so again, not a fee but a reward for active wagering players).

Here it was several positions to win, or you share the prize if among the top. I feel like these were much better. Nobody ever won the 'big prize' as you need everything correct Smiley

I think the model of qualifying for competitions by wagering or participating is nice. The current Jackpot model is like a lottery. Which is not wrong, but you pay once and it's over every week, I guess it's good if you really think you're great at guessing 1x2 Smiley
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dollar cost averaging Bitcoin - can we do better? on: April 21, 2024, 10:58:03 AM
I noticed that there are different understandings for DCA. Often it is used as synonym for simple savings plan (DCA on timeline) but this is not really DCA for me. The show off strength is when you set up DCA on the price axis, e.g. limit orders in a grid each -5%. If you set up some package of backloaded limit orders you can be sure that you will buy BTC at a very good average price as long as BTC price don't fall off the bottom of your grid.

<>

If you choose such an approach then the model of @virginorange could be great to adjust instant buy vs. limit orders on the one hand and max drawdown respectively positions of limit orders on the other hand.

I understand what you're saying, believe me. And I really really like what @virginorange proposed, and what you proposed.

But I still think that the majority of people actually don't have the time or expertise to properly take advantage of setting up advanced DCA. And as I mentioned, even if they did, they will expose themselves to the emotional and discipline factors that can easily suck people in. I speak from experience here Smiley

Back in forex and gold trading days this was also the case. Especially with currencies like in Asia where you actually get more value saving in forex USD or EUR especially. The stats of average users show they still gain guaranteed value in gold and forex with simple DCA. Savings plan, without committing more time to gaining and implementing expertise.

The disappointment of missing out, or making wrong calls, it leads to other psychological/emotional elements that ruin the whole idea of DCA in the first place Smiley Which is to simplify for the average user and ensure they don't miss out on great gains just because they don't understand TA.

Poor Girona, is all I can say. Even Athletic has been having more headlines, Inaki still a bit drunk from the Gabarra spirits, scoring a goal for the away side before his team equalised (I didn't watch, just doing blind commentary haha).

Still think they should feel proud of themselves though, they still just need to win 4 of the last 6 games to ensure they are in Champions League (not sure actually how it affects City but it shouldn't, should it?) or is there some drama left for Athletic to steal a spot if Girona freefalls?

That was a beautiful win for Athletic, I think no matter what happens from the lifetimes of their current squad, they already did more than could ever be asked for. Everyone at the club and city agrees, this was bigger than anything they can remember except the last time Gabarra was out Smiley

There's something about Basque clubs you have to say.

Now, Barca. All to be won today!

Strange results coming our way? Or everything for Sunday? Who knows?

Real have the history and mythical presence in the CL, nobody else comes close to their heritage and expertise at winning the CL as I unfortunately know. I don’t think they are that good this year though, they were lucky to get past Man City but then again, it’s what they do.
I dont know why but I like Real this season more than before, it cant be luck to have good result against Man City two times in a row.
PSG kicked out Barcelona but I think this was because of bad ref in second game, and I dont think they can do the same against Real.
But I already gone fast forward, first this teams need to pass Dortmund and Bayern. and Germans are not giving up easy.

Liverpool unfortunately know this about Real, but we Barca also unfortunately know about Liverpool's expertise too. Just we all have different hoodoo teams, yours is Real, ours is you Tongue

I remember even Ronaldinho tasted defeat against Liverpool if I'm not mistaken.

And @notblox1 yes I also feel like I hate Real the least this season. You know the season of Benzema, they also played game after game, losing for 80 minutes then winning with Benzema in the end and Modric? Is that luck? Or is that strategy? So hard to say Smiley
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trader lost over $1 Million + on Binance Future trading on: April 20, 2024, 01:50:45 PM
I see this story so many times, back in forex days and penny stocks days<>

In the case of the protagonist of the OP's story, we do not know if the million he lost was accumulated in earnings. It seems more dramatic since he says he lost it all and it does not seem to be pure profits from trading on the site. In any case they act as degenerate gamblers, as has been said. I think we will have to start talking about degenerate traders.

Yeah that's why I brought up my story. It's never clear how much people actually lost as net. Did they earn a lot of profit and then lost all of it? Then it's not really a loss. We say you only have profit or loss when you either lose your deposit, and close account, or withdraw to your bank Smiley Those were forex days anyway, realized profit/loss is not what you see in your account until you move it out.

Anyway, degen traders ARE degen gamblers. Sheep in goats clothing lol

notblox1 and slackovic what are you guys doing? 5 reds, hope you made multibet opposite your picks Tongue
The only win I have is against casperBGD who left the competition. Now I have enough different answers to turn this around against leea-1334, but I'm not that confident.
<>
I'm trying not to have all my hopes up on Tsitsipas because when you is always when that Greek freak decides to burn you  Roll Eyes

Don't worry @slackovic I was just kidding about it, good luck to you, it's so crazy for me also, I was hoping to get the NBA question correct but it seems I only managed a draw, so I am still behind, looks like I will lose this round unless results are in my favor today.

@Harkorede, Tsitsipas destriyed me sooo many times, so I'm surprised I took him again. But now I prefer him to lose actually because if he loses and Ruud comes into final, I win my point Smiley

I also checked out the Jackpots page, and I like it a lot because it's the less punishing version of Multimaster.

But multimaster was free as I recall, and actually you can go really close to the top if you're very good, whereas this Jackpot has fewer people playing because it's paying fee and I guess that means fewer people but also harder to get into prize positions. My second halving Smiley I almost had 3 but when it first happened when I was in Bitcoin, I had no idea what it was or when it was.

And I guess at the time going to 12 BTC wasn't such a big deal yet.

Now it's everything, happy Bitcoin halving everyone!

For the first time in many years I'm gonna try and watch the NBA playins tomorrow, it's actually morning in my time so perfectly good to watch only issue is if I go, it's hard to get to work so need to figure it out.

Either way, no idea about basketball but I know ball goes into hoop lol and I need the points to draw with Saint;loup who has an amazing 4 out of 5 greens Sad He picked Pelicans and Kings so he only gets 1 point there, but if Heat wins he has 2. My mission is to hope Ruud goes to final then I get that point, and then Kings must win for me to also get a point there, if not, then I must hope Bulls win, otherwise he is still ahead.

notblox1 and slackovic what are you guys doing? 5 reds, hope you made multibet opposite your picks Tongue
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trader lost over $1 Million + on Binance Future trading on: April 19, 2024, 09:21:25 AM
I see this story so many times, back in forex days and penny stocks days before I even used Binance, but the one that stuck with me was a guy who turned a few hundred dollars (which is quite a lot of money here) into a few million during the GME thing where he made a lot then invested in meme and nft tokens, but everything was on Binance, and he just kept trading and trading and then same thing. Leverage liquidated everything.

It stuck because he didn't lose money in the end, overall he still had a few hundred dollars because it was in stablecoin but he lost years, lost his job and life because he lived on his computer the whole time. But he saw millions... and yet never withdrew anything. Just got addicted trying to add more zeros because it seemed so easy.

Posted then deleted his account so nobody knows where he is or what he did. He just came in to tell people trading is never a happy ending if you think you make money from it, anybody can in a bull run, everybody loses when it's bear.

Just a friendly warning to anyone seeing loads of green now Smiley Trading seriously is not for most people and if you see traders posting to you about memecoin bonanzas just remember, their story hasn't ended yet Smiley
153  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: April 19, 2024, 07:48:58 AM
notblox1 Dortmund odds seems too small. They have to beat superstar PSG and then beat superstar Real or Bayern. I know they beat Bayern in Bundesliga recently but they have a disease like Leverkusen used to have, about finishing second below Bayern. Look at last season implosion, they're gonna do it again.

Atletico was a mistake in the first place, but Mbappe wants to win it, Real will act like they are entitled to it, Bayern will be desperate to win something to make up for Leverkusen. 20x maybe I go for it, not 10x Tongue

This one now though is more interesting? Leverkusen actually if everyone remembers struggled very badly against lousy teams in Europa League. Atalanta, Roma, and Marseille are quite good teams, and the odds are more tempting, I think these are too much in favor of Leverkusen.

The Man City special unexpectedly fell short after Real Madrid held on to a draw in regular time. At least one of my BTTS bets won, i'm never trusting Arsenal again on the road. I knew they'd have an underwhelming performance and I still went for it like an idiot.

In general I feel like BTTS is good at the odds you took but second legs are usually a problem in my mind, always it's people expecting something, not getting it, then for some reason both teams think it's ok to go to penalties. Arsenal are okay in England they just have not yet found their 'nails' in Europe. Which is normal after being out for so long. It took City many years also but I'm glad they're out, I know I hate Real but somehow I prefer them to Plastic Teams like City.

We saw a BTS and a goal feast yesterday; what are your expectations for today's games? Over2.5 or BTS for both games.

Terrible for BTTS terrible for overs, even in Europa League second legs were quite bad, I have a feeling semifinals will be similar. Many goals first leg with ref interventions then superbuspark second legs lol
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 19, 2024, 04:34:46 AM
Barcelona fans shouldn't be whining about ref rulings because you paid tonnes of dollars to the UEFA refs to get decisions in your favour for decades.

I can while about it all I want I didn't pay tons of dollars Tongue

And I rarely complain actually, I honestly feel the red card was super wrong, he didn't even hesitate, dumbass just had a view, was sold the red and bought it.

Glad others see it the same way. I also said same thing about Arsenal wrong call too when Gabriel did 'kid mistake". I'm not a fan of either team and even I think I prefer Arsenal but error is error and the refs in champions league have been pretty shitty.

If you have VAR, to reduce errors, then please, use it.

Nice read Trofo as usual and yes to answer your comment above, I mixed up Zverev with Rublev. No tennis knowledge on my part this is the most obvious Tongue

It sucks to trail by two points, but I guess it's still doable if Roma can save me with a win against AC Milan.

Also, I can't believe we're 1/3 in the season already, like the rounds are going so fast this time compared to the previous seasons.

I need Milan to win, and score a lot of goals, but everyone seems to be on so many sides this round, I think the biggest round with so many different answers, could be a record?

Every season is fast, can you believe this is 4th season? I feel like it's not so long ago Tongue

Lika darbit says man, Real Madrid aura in champions league is impossible to discount. I don't like them as a Barca fan but of course I have to choose them over Manchester City any time.

Too bad about Gunners, but now Harry Kane has a path to the final.

It's all about Kane, Bellingham, or Mbappe now.

Unless Sancho pops up lol.

Rules are Rules, soft or not. If the last man obstructs a goal-scoring opportunity, the ref has no choice but to send him off.

No, the rules must be about denying obvious goal opportunity.

It was not at all obvious, the guy was still bringing the ball in, and he was not obviously on a chance to shoot.

Anyway, game over red card stands, we all know the story Tongue

98% possible rug pulls and they call them safe?
Hell no, I will stick to my personal analysis tools and gut rather than rely on a stranger telling me what is safe and what is not.

You have a lot of big faith in altcoins and memecoiners lol 98% means only 49/50 projects are possible rug pulls when I have to say in my experience all the way back from 2017, it's more like 99.9%.

Remember just because its still alive after 2 years doesn't mean it didn't rugpull already Tongue

Stick to Bitcoin, ignore the memecoins, I think anyone who even thinks one is to be recommended, is very irresponsible.

Feel bad for you guys in Nigeria but don't worry, just keep in contact and keep trading with each other. You guys all know how to find Bisq and what not who knows, you will take over the P2P volume in decentralized platforms?

I remember when it was also unsure the status of localbitcoin in my region, everyone just logged off and started going on Wechat anyway Smiley I'm sure the same will happen for people in Nigeria.

Yesterday's CL games were great again, this is one of the best QF series in recent memory. Let's hope for a great set of games today as well.

Great for the neutral not great for La Liga fans. I think PSG deserve to go through anyway but the referee did not help make the game great, it could have been even better if they had 11 versus 11, IMO.

Anyway, 2-1 is my current score, I have to fightback to defeat Saint_loup, it's not looking easy, just hate it when you're down in the beginning, the rest of the week becomes pain watching lol
