The dapp just released and it's flawless. It's incentivized torrenting that rewards seeders. The devs just quietly released the developer version of the application: https://github.com/upfiring/upfiring-update/releasesThere will likely be much more hype around the project in the next few months when the official version releases, especially with BitTorrent/Project Atlas pursuing a similar but somewhat different idea with BitTorrent token. People have been posting files on the discord ( discord.upfiring.com) and on the forums ( https://www.ufr.chat), but there are some underground places to get them as well. You don't have to own the token (UFR) to use the dapp and upload/seed files, you only need UFR to decrypt other seeder's files if you want to access them. Try it out. Absolutely a dapp/project worth looking into if you don't know anything about it. I have heard some buzz around Bittorrent tokens, I am about to try this as well. Dapps are still underrated, hopefully this one will change it a bit.

I guess January will be a month of lower volatility (compared to December) and we might see first signs of bull pressure in February.

Is there any information about the Team behind the ETCV Coin?
I have already met many projects, the team of which has remained anonymous, this factor has not played any important role. I agree, the most important things are development and adoption. I would rather choose a quickly and reliably developed coin with anonymous team than sleeping coin with complete dev team on Linkedin.

Still trying to figure out some small cap cryptos to include for parts 4 and 5. Any suggestions? Interested to look in some projects further and read up on their white paper!
Best,
BBS
I would suggest that you look at ALQO (XLQ) project. The coin is small cap right now and they are about to release their own cryptocurrency exchange.

Would be careful with this project before investing further. Team no longer gives direct answers to hard questions asked on discord. At this point nothing is concrete and they recently let go of the community managers to reduce cost.
From what I have read the main developer already cashed out during the last bull run and has multiple sports cars including an r8, which is fine i suppose. In anycase do some solid research before jumping in assuming low price and therefore an opportunity.
You are talking plain nonsense. Maybe you did not receive a straight answer, because some things have to stay in the company like in every normal business. So next time ask a reasonable question. Main developer has a sport car, because he worked for a German game developing company, which created Krytek engine if it says something to you. Obviously lead devs are paid good in a such companies. So stop spreading false accusations and fud. I expect a bit more constructive post from Legendary member. I would not really assume about quality of a team (or their devotion for development) by cars they drive Recent development update looks very promising. is it this ann you refer too damberg? We've fixed and updated the following items with the ALQO explorer: https://explorer.alqo.org/ 1) Richlist is now showing correct values. 2) Masternodes section reporting correctly now. 3) Masternode statistics have been updated and fixed. 4) Hashrate graph changed to Difficulty graph. 5) Hashrate boxed value changed to UTC time.
P.S. Additionally, ALQO Discord Bot has been fixed. this was the latest one on discord. No, I meant the most recent post in announcement section regarding to Bitfineon progress update: Homepage: 99%
1) Language Translations 2) Favorites Integration (graphs)
Exchange Interface: 90%
1) Advanced Orders – Logic/Coding 2) Continue testing temp-fix for ChartIQ bug.
Dashboard: 95% 1) Minor UI/UX elements remaining, pending backend element integration.
Wallet: 95%
1) Minor UX elements remaining, per best practices.

Is it possible to migrate tokens from MEW to the Chainpoint network?
No. Thanks for answer, I wondered where is this information coming from. I haven't read anything about it anywhere.

This will definitely make ETH to surge this month.
Ethereum has already seen very rapid price soar to almost $150, and I guess we will see even more by the 14th January (my estimate is around $220 per ETH).

It seems that even the renewed project is not alive (at least due to the low activity). Such a pitty, it was good back then ...

I read 2018 review and found (Many customers have migrated from the original Tierion application to the Chainpoint Network, but several still haven’t made the switch. The original Tierion application will be available until Q2 2019 to give customers additional time to migrate.) Do i need to do a switch if i keep my tierion in Myether wallet?
Is it possible to migrate tokens from MEW to the Chainpoint network? I never knew about this but I would definitely use it.

Is it possible to get ETCV on your wallet for free? What are the instructions?
Each Eth holder will receive free ETCV after the fork (planned for January 11, 2019, 20:00 GMT)at a 1/3 ratio.I think this is a very good offer. If I have 2 ETH in my wallet, will I get 6 ETCV absolutely free? Yes, it is exactly right. However, it can be expected that ETCV price might drop after the fork due to large selling pressure.

Every now and then there is a speculation about more 'institutional money' coming into crypto. Unfortunately, the impact on cryptocurrency prices is questionable.

One of the facts is that so much people have now their crypto-money converted in FIAT so that generally there is much less liquidity now across the whole crypto metaverse. So many people are simply not investing right now as they are out of crypto waiting for the reverse.
It maybe come from the effects of shopping time and New year's spendings. After all, the market will come back to its normal situation. Which isn't a reasonable approach. Only joining the party when the reversal is completely obvious may also lead to missed opportunity. Agreed, it is usually good to buy if others rather stay aside (and sell when others are FOMOing). XLQ for this price is a real invitation to the game and very profitable trade.

So, you want to buy ETH now to get the "fork" coin? If yes, I don't think the next fork will create new coin like what btc does, or at least that what i read. There is no block number about when it will happen, only date which is on 16 January 2019. From that, i don't think there will be fork coin. Even if there will be new tokens or coin when for happen, i think you probably will receive it directly to your wallet or there will be news about it. edit: No, the fork will effectively create a new coin. Date of a fork is always derived from a block number and estimated block velocity, Constantinople is about to happen at block 7,080,000.
Ah, okay. Looks like the news that i read is not contain that thing. No, you were right. New coin will not be created, it is just update, not every hard fork should be followed by creating a new coin. Hard fork happens only if half of the community do not agree with something. Sorry, I mixed it with another event, no split after Constantinople. Thank you for stating the correct answer.

Just joined ETCV telegram group, by why when someone asked whether it is ERC or not. Some people said it is an ERC based token, honestly what is going on with this project? it is a standalone project or an ERC based token? if it is an ERC based token, that means it can not be considered as a fork because it needs ETH network to do the transaction. and technically speaking it's a token and part of ETH.
it is token or coin? the team needs to educate us and giving us more information about this project.
Yeah, when you read more posts here nobody knows if it is classic ERC-20 token or real hard fork coin. If it is only ERC-20 token, then it doesnt make any sense and soon this project will die because it will not be able to bring something special. If the project fully implements everything as written, then in the future there will be success, but it is important how the bounty will take place. I think the most important thing for us now is to understand the fork of the etherium or the coin based on the blockhain of the ethereum. I think this is fundamentally very important. After a while we will all know in detail, the project at the very initial stage of development is only Simply, if it is a coin based on ethereum, then there is nothing new here. But if this fork then the project can really bring something new to the cryptocurrency A word from the team would be very much appreciated. Since the headline says 'fork', I wasn't even thinking about possibility of ERC-20 token ...

Thank you for such a good analysis, I have never heard about three of the five small cap coins you mentioned but I must admit, they are good picks!

I have been holding a nice bag of FLO since September 2017, and I am happy I never sold it I hope it will drive the price higher .. You missed your big chance on dec 2017, while the price was $0.24 or more than 4k sats, if you have sold your token on that time, your investment already turned more than 4x times than now Yes, I missed lots of chances like that in other coins. My intention was to 'buy and forget' for FLO and some other coins. I will probably hold it for one or two more years.

It is not correct, this chain will fork Ethereum main chain in a certain time. Every fork can be perceived as an airdrop since holders on the old chain receive coins on the new chain. Just to make things clear It seems to me that if a lot of people find out about the emerging aerodrope, then this can significantly affect the cost of the Ethereum itself. No, it will not, there is no reason that this project can affect ETH price in the future considering its popularity right now. it might affect ETH price in the future if this project has more supporter or an advanced technology compared to ETH right now. But currently, it does not have both of it. more importantly, this project chooses to fork ETH itself as their code source. REMEMBER, they are forking the source! Very true, the probability it will affect ETH price is almost zero The new chain (ETCV) is going to get its community, supporters and influence with following upgrades and improvements which takes time.

Hey. What news? Personally, I have not received any letters from them. As I understand it, nothing happens?
In November, there was a newsletter: they wrote about participation in VENUS 2018 and the burning of unclaimed tokens (which investors did not take away). In December, there were two newsletters: a new partnership and a RedBUX wallet. As promised news about the listing on the exchanges in January. Are these newsletters available publicly anywhere? They are valuable information for e.g. former bounty participants and others interested.
