Above 7.20, thats for sure Smiley
1405  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: January 15, 2012, 12:38:55 AM
I just want to note that if we get another spike of the same magnitude as the previous two, it could break resistance at 7.2 and carry us all the way to 8.  However, we'll have to wait and see.

I think this scenario is the most likely to get us over $7.20 this weekend.

Otherwise it's up to $7.00 and smackdown back to 6.20s/5.80s, as per recent trends.

We are dancing on the head of a needle that has only one direction from here.. Smiley

What I see right now is epic... what is comming soon, will make believers out of the most hardened pessimists..

Will be interesting to see where we go from here.

Like your Nicholson Avatar, is that from Five Easy Pieces movie?

I actually do not know where it comes from, I would like to know though.. ?

Passing 7 is highly highly probable
1406  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PULL request #748 : Pay-to-script-hash (OP_EVAL replacement) on: January 15, 2012, 12:29:44 AM
i dont understand how this thing works, i wont support this because is way to geek for me, since we vote with hashing power i will point my workers to eligius

What exactly are you opposing?  Nothing has been released yet.  Perhaps instead of picking sides we should focus the discussion on reaching consensus about the advantages and disadvantages of each proposal.  Personally, I like the compromise of P2SH, but with it's own OP code.  Can anyone explain the aversion to add an OP code, and why it is worse than hacking it into the scripting system?

From what little I gather

p2sh requires a change that is incompatible with the current chain and way of doing things..It ultimatly requires everyone to upgrade..
Which is fine for me, because progress is being made..

Other people are suggesting other ways to allow multiple signatures using the current chain, and not needing an upgrade.

Please please correct me if Im wrong..

I have faith in Gavin.. plain and simple.

This is good news, not bad..

Improving the design and helping people not get ripped off in what ever way it gets implemented is a GOOD THING !!

Are you for real?

This thread.

this graph is beyond retarded. not only is it inane, but the data set is completely unfit for a line graph >.< it hurtss

A line graph is appropriate if his life consists of the following loop:

|->home->work->truck stop->friend's house->sporting event-|
|------------<--------------<-----------------<---------------------<--------------|

Not entirely unreasonable.  Besides, it shows they prefer to get paid to shit.

hahaha.. so true!!!!!!!!

I see guns and the internet as two very similar things in regards to regulation.  Any effort will be futile. Technology will always prevail.

http://techcrunch.com/2011/09/20/is-printing-a-gun-the-same-as-buying-a-gun/

Awesome article, Im actually in the process of making a 3d printer...

Which printer?

I have the majority of the hardware except the extruder, Im leaning towards reprap, makerbot is ok too, but I think reprap is the one that will satisfy my needs..

Any suggestions?  there are a few more worth mentioning, I just cant remember their names..

Inflation sucks and my wages also havent gone up at all in the past 4 years. As for gas, well when I moved to the big city I had to get rid of my cars because I apparently live in the most expensive part of the country for insurance. As for the old argument on guns, it wasnt illegal to own guns as long as you are properly licensed so that saying is false. What it does provide is incentive to lock up your guns and to make them not easily accessible (for thieves).

On the opposite end of the spectrum I have seen crazy shit with guns in the states. People driving around with AK-47s and enough ammo to start a war every day. In detroit its just crazy how many gunfights there are every day and how many shootings go on. Like I said I love shooting guns but definitely feel safer with the regulation.

Well, we wont get into the ol' americans and their guns speech! lol Smiley

They must be regulated, and it should not be your god given birth right to bare arms.

I work intimately with armed guards nearly everyday, and have taken my courses every year as required by my job and I wouldnt have it any other way. Yet I own no restricted guns, I dont feel a need to personally defend myself with a handgun, let alone a monster ar14 or ak74/47 those are simply ridiculous hunting or otherwise.

Thats what my guards are for.

Would I be this way if living in the US?..  No way, I would pack absolutely. But thats because of the job I have.

One of a million reasons I love Canada..
1413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Good Wife episode cause a noticeable bump in Google Trends? on: January 14, 2012, 10:25:42 PM
Yeah the booze tax is silly but that is the law. The law mandates that minimum alcohol prices must rise with inflation. At least in the case of that the money goes into ontario's coffers which pays for health care. Ultimately it is a voluntary tax buying booze which fundamentally I don't have a problem with.

Another stupid thing is the LGR. You have to register your cat, dog and car but not your guns now. The outright destruction of this information is what is truly wasting money because if we decide in the future to reinstate it the cost would be outrageous. And don't get me wrong I love to shoot guns but you can never be too careful when it comes to firearms.

Any progress Canada has made over the past 4 years is thanks to the people and not any government.

Well we will have to agree to disagree! Smiley

I have an issue with the LGR, but its too late now, and yes, since it was instated, we certainly shouldnt stop or destroy the info now that its recorded.  I still say they were concentrating on the issue the wrong way, the old saying, outlaws will be the only ones with guns argument..

The law about raising taxes in unison with inflation is fine, but my paycheck isnt raising fast enough to keep up with the "Immediate change in gas prices" so to speak, if you get what Im saying.. An analogy, gas is just an example of a thought process Im trying convey.

in Canada...TV watches you

Im sure if our current leader had his way they would.

Ehhhhh!

I have some respect for Harper, Canada has done wonders in the last 4 years..

But I do see what your saying..

In Canada, Film Board Pays YOU!

I watched an episode of the littlest hobo the other day...  havent saw that show in 25 years!

Bittenbob, where abouts are ya ?

Toronto. I give Harper 0 credit because he gets credit for all of Martin's fiscal policies. If it were not for his banking regulations that Harper would have done away with given the chance then we would have been right in the shitter with the USA/ The intrusions into privacy and his stupid dumb on crime omni bus crime bill are going to set this country back generations. He wants to lock up small time pot growers longer than child rapists (MMS for pot will be higher than rape). It is truly a dark period in our countries history.

I whole heartedly agree with you on that, the war on drugs is stupid, specially with pot. But personally I think he has a LOT of pressure to tighten up the drug laws from big brother down south.. Locking up pot growers and smokers is hilariously dumb, and infringes on our basic rights. It should be treated like Alcohol or tobacco.  And how about Mcsquinty, raising tax on booze, like we dont pay enough already...

PS. Steeltown here Smiley
1415  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: January 14, 2012, 09:41:49 PM
Most indicators don't tell you whole story until things actually happen. OBV alone isn't enough to predict that either we'll make it above $7.2 or not. A sudden movement from investor that didn't place any bids before may appear and low OBV won't stop him Smiley

This is the thought pattern I was thinking...

And Waspoza your profile pic, from the 50's I like it too!  I cant place why...
1416  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: January 14, 2012, 09:26:08 PM
I think we will blow through $7.20 this time. $8 is coming tonight or sunday.

OBV chart says theres not enough money for this yet. Sad

Elaborate please ?

A lot of the money is not visible.. Smiley

Today (hourly) obv value is about 370, and 6th jan (when we had tits in the price chart) hourly OBV value was about 450 and we still couldnt break $7.2. Seems to me that we need more money in the system to go higher, but maybe im wrong.

I thought OBV was a reactionary measurement?  as in, its only accurate after things happen?
Please correct me if Im wrong, Im all ears Smiley
He is pointing out that a higher OBV then did not accomplish $7.2, so a lower OBV now will not do it either.

I know what hes saying..but my question is still the same
