1422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your biggest loss gambling? on: December 12, 2015, 04:53:48 AM
Luckily, I haven't lost too much money from gambling as I gamble for fun. I think the biggest loss I've ever had at once is 0.02. I wasn't too sad, as it was for fun, but of course everyone feels slightly bad if they lose money.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you can ask one question for the bitcoin creator to answer, what would it be? on: December 10, 2015, 05:16:07 AM
I would ask him why he has never revealed himself to the public until now. He would have been somewhat rich and famous if he had revealed his identity to the public, however I guess there are still some benefits to being anonymous.
1424  Other / Meta / Re: HYIP SCAMS - We need to do something on: December 10, 2015, 05:14:19 AM
Wouldn't it be good that rather than banning them from the forum, we better educate the users to not to be selfish and not to throw away their money in these scams. An increase in common sense would be a good tool against preventing HYIP scams. The "Caveat Emptor" thing is there for a reason.
There'll always be a newbie who will fall into these.

Yeah, but I guess there's not much we can do. There are plenty of warnings in the investor based games section, and members are warning newbies on the threads.

I think we should just leave it how it is. OP, if you keep losing your money because you invest in HYIPs, perhaps you shouldn't invest in HYIPs. There are other ways to make bitcoin, try looking around in the services section for jobs you might be able to perform. Good luck!
1425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Sportsbetting Bookmaker with Bitcoin on: December 10, 2015, 05:07:59 AM
I don't know if you mean best bitcoin bookie I'm assuming that as best bitcoin betting site with good odds.Here's a similar topic already opened you can have your conclusions here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1281607.0
Thanks, a bookie is a shortcut for "bookmaker". A bookmaker is a company that provides sportsbetting.

I decided to go for cloudbet. Everything went fine i just collected my winning in my local wallet.

Great! Now that this thread is completed and you've gotten your answers, you should lock it to prevent new replies. Look to the bottom left corner, and click "lock topic". The topic will now be locked, preventing further replies.

1427  Economy / Gambling / Re: Make a living out of Satoshi Mines? on: December 10, 2015, 05:02:24 AM
No... Gambling is gambling. It's not a way to make a living out of.

There are some professional gamblers in the world who play poker (such as this guy and there are also some others) or bet on sports and make a living out of it, so this statement isn't entirely correct.

However, you never hear about professional dice players or professional satoshi mines players because you can't make a living out of a game with a house edge.
1428  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do DICE BOTS Actually Work For You? on: December 10, 2015, 04:59:43 AM
I think that when you are playing dice, human control is the best. Bots can't adapt to the situation as well as humans can.

Bots may work in the short term; but they will not work in the long run due to the odds and the house edge.
1429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using Tor while gambling.. any problems? on: December 10, 2015, 04:56:29 AM
I've seen people get banned as well for connecting through Tor. You would have to find out which sites allow it ahead of time. You can't play on your cell phone during downtime?

I guess he doesn't have his own hotspot or router for his internet; the company can look through his browser history if his cell phone is connected to the company wifi.

OP, I don't recommend gambling at work, but if you really want to, do what others have said. You'll have to buy your own hotspot/router though if you want to be completely safe.
1430  Economy / Gambling / Re: Make a living out of Satoshi Mines? on: December 10, 2015, 04:54:14 AM
Hey there,

Is it possible to make steady money in Satoshi Mines? Using a good strategy and maybe a bot, or it's better to play manually with a strategy? I have a big bankroll to put in.

My starting bankroll would be around 3 BTC minimum, I am looking for 1 BTC daily.

Thanks

Good question. Usually casino games have a house edge. The game is a game of chance, can you use the strategy to win big for a long period of time?   To answer this I'd have to work out the math, program a simulator and run a lot of simulations. After doing that I could give you a deterministic answer.

I have a strategy for the dice game, which I used to make some nice profit, no loss before ever. A modified version of this strategy may be as successful as my dice strategy.

Is your strategy a guaranteed way to win, or are you just lowering the odds of losing? Even with lowered losing odds, you will have a better chance of winning, but unless you are extremely lucky, you won't continue to win in the long term.

Are you willing to share your strategy here?
1431  Economy / Gambling / Re: Make a living out of Satoshi Mines? on: December 09, 2015, 04:00:43 AM
why satoshi fake mining when you can really mine on hashnest...

Satoshi mines isn't "mining", at all. Hashnest is a form of mining (cloud mining) but isn't really mining either. It could be possible to make a profit with cloud mining, but it's a risk.

OP, if you do decide to invest in cloud mining, see this thread beforehand: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

Hello to everyone, thanks for your replies. I am sorry but the title is not correct as I wanted to put something like 'Make steady' I have several online businesses which brings me money every month and I can say I can gamble 4-5 BTC for fun each month. I have seen some strategies on Satoshi Mines that is why im asking if its possible to grow them there. My businesses are not in BTC, they are all fiat.

The absolute best strategy possible would be able to turn your expected loss of 1% into around a loss of ~0.7% (by the amount you turn over). But that's still not going to come close to be profitable, despite the fact you can easily have a high probability of making your desired 1 BTC a day (but it comes with a small probability of losing a much larger amount, making the whole thing -EV).

If you're actually trying to make money, you first need to find things that have the possibility of being +EV. The things I know that have that possibility:

  * Poker
  * PevPot  (mine)
  * Bustabit  (mine)
  * Taking advantage of promotions (esp. by sites that can't do maths, e.g. speeddice affiliate program is ridiculously +EV (until they realize it, and shut it down, possibly with your money))
  * Card games when they don't reshuffle
  * Some physical video poker machines with perfect play

I think this is the best answer on the thread so far. You can't really make a living off satoshi mines in the long run.

Also, to add to the list, if you watch a lot of sports and you are decent at guessing which teams will win, etc., you could try sports betting.

Personally, I think instead of gambling, you should try and invest or start a business to make an income. Good luck!

1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: December 08, 2015, 04:38:21 AM
The safest way to gambling is just have control, be prepared, don't spned the money that you can't afford to lose and don't be mad if you lose.
When you feel that you are losing I suggest you to stop playing.

But mostly when people losing money they tried to put more money to take back there loses. This is common mistake mostly done by every gambler.

A good mentality to have is to think all money you deposit in gambling is already lost; if you win it's a bonus. That way, even if you lose a bit you won't feel to compelled to try and win back your money. And if possible, quit while you are ahead.
1434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: December 08, 2015, 04:35:52 AM
I know online poker can be profitable in the long term as long as you're not playing against 'the house', so only if you're playing against other players.
But would this be considered gambling? I think in that case, the term 'game of skill' fits better.

Poker is based on luck and skill, so it technically still is gambling, as it isn't 100% based on skill.
1435  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Open Sourced Faucet with Dice Script on: December 07, 2015, 04:51:00 AM
Hey thanks for altcoin support! I know this can be too much asked, but is there any possibility to change directories of script? Like faucetbox to be ltc and faucetboxgame to be ltcgame? Just to avoid too much clicking and subdirectories if running several faucets. I know it is possible, but need guidelines how to do that Cheesy

You can change the directories by renaming the folders, then going into the index.php file in /faucetbox, then click ctrl+f and search for "/faucetboxgame" (without quotations) find all of them, and rename them to whatever you've named the faucetboxgame directory to. Do the same in the index.php file in /faucetboxgame, just vice versa.

Also, coinableS, I've changed

Code:
//custom parameters
$api_key = "1234XYB"; //faucetbox API KEY
$startBal = 300; //starting balance for users
$reefAmount = 300; //referral amount
$timeBetweenClaims = 1800; //wait time between claims in seconds
$private_key = "1a1a1a_1a1a1a_1a_1a1"; //funcaptcha private key
$publicKey = "1b1b1_1b1b_1b1b1b1"; //funcaptcha public key

To

Code:
//custom parameters
$api_key = "1234XYB"; //faucetbox API KEY
$startBal = 200; //starting balance for users
$reefAmount = 300; //referral amount
$timeBetweenClaims = 3600; //wait time between claims in seconds
$private_key = "1a1a1a_1a1a1a_1a_1a1"; //funcaptcha private key
$publicKey = "1b1b1_1b1b_1b1b1b1"; //funcaptcha public key

But it still seems to dispense 300 satoshis in the user balance. Any ideas why this is happening? I have changed the names of the directories, not sure if that affected it or not.
1436  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucet really worth my time? on: December 07, 2015, 04:40:48 AM
There are some people who make decent money with faucets because they have many referrals. You can try to get referrals by making a faucet rotator or through promoting that faucet. Good luck!
1437  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much money rollin.io earns every day ? on: December 07, 2015, 01:52:51 AM
What do you think of investing in one of these sites..... U can estimate the profit as well as loses....
I didnt know that rollin had investment enable there.
Anyway i think rollin earn alot everyday but i guess there a risk too..
They can lose also since its casino. Depends on house or player luck Cheesy

Usually casinos win in the long term. I've invested before, and the first few days I lost, but as the days went by my profit started to climb back up, so after a while I withdrew. Some casinos do lose, if they don't have a big enough bankroll and multiple people get lucky at the same time and empty the bankroll, but usually they do make profit.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 01:41:18 AM
Con
Look at some dice sites, cloud mining sites that ust dissapeared with consumers money.

Since it is about money I am interested in your opintion, Is the combination of gambling and Bitcoin good?

I don't think dice sites running away with money is a very big concern as most dice sites have more to gain by staying. Also, more dice sites are using the moneypot API, which makes it hard to run off with the bitcoin.

However, I do think that people ruining their lives because of gambling is a concern.
1439  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much money rollin.io earns every day ? on: December 07, 2015, 01:28:48 AM
well its gotta be pretty lucrative otherwise you wouldnt
see everyone using gambling campaigns as their sig
campaign. They pay a decent amount of coins weekly
to get the advertising out which means they are making
coin.

I've noticed that most of the successful signature campaigns are the ones that are related to gambling - not all, but most. Like you said, it's probably because gambling companies are able to get a higher profit-to-cost advertising ratio than normal bitcoin companies. That being said, Rollin.io stopped their signature campaign a while ago because it was becoming unprofitable for them. It might be an indicator that Rollin.io isn't doing as well as other casinos, but that's just speculation.

It's also possible that they were bringing in a lot of traffic from other sites other than bitcointalk, so they didn't need to continue their signature campaign. I personally think rollin makes quite a lot of money as they have a large userbase.
1440  Economy / Gambling / Re: girlbtc.com™ || onevsone || elephant v.s. tiger v.s. mouse || check your luck on: December 07, 2015, 01:18:45 AM
The game has a pretty simple concept. I used to manage the sig campaign for these guys and I think if more users had tried it, the game could have taken off

That's the problem with PvP games; you need a lot people to play for it to work. I've seen some PvP games with really creative concepts but they've never really worked because of the lack of users.

yeah it's still on but not much active guys here on it

thx,I will have a try someday.

The onevsone game is still active as the admin constantly creates new games, so you might want to try that out.
