1421  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: January 16, 2023, 05:32:17 PM
I bought fun tokens when they were launched on the freebitco.in website and after a few months I ended up selling them at a loss because the performance was much worse than the price of bitcoin. In other words, it was more profitable to invest in bitcoin what you had invested in Fun tokens and the difference in profitability compensated you for the extras you get in freebitco.in and you have more to spare.

After selling I have not followed the evolution of the price, but now I have just looked at CMC and I see the price of the token is not rising. Not worth in my opinion.

You need to understand that when bitcoins dumps, altcoins always dump more than the bitcoin. Similarly, when bitcoin pumps, altcoins always pump more than the bitcoins. This is why we see in this bear season that Fun token along with other altcoins dump more than bitcoin.

Also, the whole year 2022 was a downtrend for bitcoin, hence you will find the prices of altcoin on constant decline. Anyways you have sold your fun token, but if you had patience, you could have hold them till the next bull run and you would not have to bear the loss.
1422  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Do and Don't for Electrum Wallet on: January 16, 2023, 01:26:29 AM
So far, Binance is safe and there have not been any cases of asset hacks like the case of julerz12 has encountered but I've also seen a few cases where users were unexpectedly locked out of their accounts by Binance.
Binance have suffered multiple hacks in the past. They were hacked in 2019 for $40 million worth of bitcoin. They were hacked in 2022 for $570 million worth of various altcoins and tokens. They were hacked in 2019 for the KYC data of thousands of users. Binance is not safe.

Binance still handles those cases and users almost always get their accounts back, but it took us a long time.
"Almost always", which means that some users just lose everything and there is nothing they can do about it.

Keeping your coins on any centralized exchange means they are not yours and you could lose them all at any time. It doesn't matter if the exchange in question is Binance. It is not safe.

This is extremely wrong that people start to think that they can't keep the money safe in personalized wallets, so they started to make up mind that binance is safe.

Binance is not safe because of two reasons;

1) They can anytime scam or deny your withdrawals and you cannot do nothing
2) They can be hacked and again you will not get back your funds.

But people think that binance is safer as there is password and 2fa and all these securities while personalized wallets have only private keys and nothing else. I would call it lack of knowledge on the part of users and we need to educate people that decentralized wallets are safer than centralized wallets and exchanges,

As we expected, as Bitcoin's price climbs up, FUN token's price falls when compared to BTC, although its price is also rising compared to dollar currency. Today FUN is 34 satoshis, and if the market continues progressing this way, it's likely we are going to see FUN for less than 30 satoshis each. We still have to see where is Bitcoin's roof will be at this time, but what I can say is that once BTC hits its resistance level for now, it must be a good time to acquire FUN for the cheapest possible price, so you can profit by selling it later, once Bitcoin crashes to a previous support level.

However, there is no assurance it will happen, because Bitcoin might be in a continuous route towards a next solid and stable price range, or even a bull run!
Of course, if you bought FUN with bitcoin before, the price might seem to go down because the bitcoin rate increased, so the FUN price also decreased on the BTC pair, fortunately I bought FUN with fiat currency so I'm still profitable because the price increased on the USDT exchange, actually didn't think about the price also I'm more happy with the facilities as a premium member

Now the price of FUN with FIAT shows an 8% increase which is normal considering the recovery of the cryptocurrencies in general following the king,Bitcoin. So I think smart persons bought when it was 0.006-0.0065 as you can buy about more than 3000 of them with just 20 dollars and I think this is worthy to do because I think things are looking great right now for 2023.

Lots of opportunities arise when the prices of cryptocurrencies shows recovery so now is the right time to buy with Bitcoin,as you can buy more with the same amount because FUN is 34 Satoshi from 37-38 while it is better to buy with FIAT when price increases in Bitcoin.

First of all, do not be over excited of this recent bitcoin pump because we are still in bear market and bitcoin is in process of making a lower high. Anyways, during this time the altcoin prices have gone up and we have seen some good spikes in altcoins. If you have bought fun token for short term, you may book the profits and wait for the price to dump again and buy back later.

However, if you are a long term investor, do not sell your FUN tokens now and wait for a proper bull season where you can get a lot more profit.
1424  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: January 15, 2023, 01:37:20 PM
I really like this idea, since especially younger users are more on their phone than on a computer.
If this app however wants to be an success, they should look at apps like reddit or twitter and not just make a stupid website in an app style application!

I don't think there is any hint from the mods about the bitcointalk app to be created. Don't think there are any plans for it in the pipeline.
But who knows one days, theymos may give us a surprise and announce about the app.

Note:- Until there is an official app, do not download any unofficial bitcointalk app from anywhere, as it may be a phishing attempt to get your passwords.
1425  Economy / Gambling / Re: [DUCKDICE.IO HOLDING MY MONEY] Banned Account with Money on: January 15, 2023, 01:10:35 PM

Thank you for the constructive response to the user, I hope it will be possible to resolve the difficulty with crediting the deposit and problems with logging into the account, which of course gave the OP a few days of worries.

Here we ago another newbie claiming that he can’t access his account while the proof he sent above is just a crop screenshot showing that he is chatting the email support simultaneously without support response despite Duckdice has a live support. I don’t want to accused the OP as a liar but it’s just odd that he use email to chat the support instead the live support also the last case against Duckdice is same to this and he is using email to chat the support too.

I really smell someone is really pressuring Duckdice to release his balance that doesn’t want to undergo proper procedure.

Yes, I agree if that's the only one he got it will not hold, if you are going to accuse you need to be transparent and complete the whole details, I support an accusation with valid and complete proof but what are we going to get from this cropped images it doesn't show us anything, there must be some conversations that transpire already but OP did not want to show it to us, OP needs to show us what steps he has taken when they don't allow him to withdraw.

I simply do not understand what is going on here especially with Duckdice. I am not saying that they are wrong but there are few threads popping up against them, don't know if any competitor is trying to defuse their reputation or what  Huh

Here is another thread DUCKDICE.IO FRADULANT CASINO EVER [DEAD SUPPORT CENTER]

Well, i agree that if these newbies really been affected by Duckdice, they should come up with proper screenshots and evidence, proving that they are right.
1426  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: January 15, 2023, 12:42:25 PM
Personally, from the way i see it, i think the reason why this casino share bonuses on their social accounts and neglect this forum is that on this forum, they cant really see the number of their followers or subscribers , so they are not sure, so this is why they it is preferable to them to post such bonuses on platforms where they have a figure as a representation of their followers.

The only way to see how many people are following them on this thread is to see how many people post on this ANN thread. The more the people post positive and good about this gambling site, the more it shows the people loving and following the site. You will not find the numbers here as we find in twitter followers or YouTube subscribers etc

I am really suspicious about all this newbie members who are posting posting in the same time and they could all be one and the same person, but I want to see official reply from Betnomi or someone who is working with them.
There was was withdrawal issues confirmed before and I don't know if this was fixed or not.

I would suggest these newbies that if they have real withdrawal issues or anything, they should post will proper proofs otherwise it is easy to come up with newbie account to attack the site reputation.
1427  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Journey with Type-2 Diabetes on: January 15, 2023, 09:33:13 AM
I love seeing you share your story. I'm sure there are a lot more on the forum who may gain some knowledge from this post although I'm not sure ignoring a doctor's instructions is good advice. It has worked for you and that's great, but I would hate to see someone go into a diabetic coma from ignoring physicians' instructions. I feel like you might have taken a risk that paid off.

Keep it up and keep those sugars where they need to be. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, no one should drive this learning from the OP story is to ignore the physicians' instructions.  Doctors know better than us and we should follow their instructions. I don't know about your case but sometimes you may feel better not talking the doctors prescribed medicine but later you may find out that, your disease has got increased without knowing you.

I would still advise the OP to visit to his doctor and tell him that he stopped talking Metformin and ask him if that's OK as he is feeling much better with all these other healthy diets.
1428  Other / Meta / Re: [List]Gambling Board Spammers; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: January 15, 2023, 09:06:26 AM
ChatGPT and gambling board spammers I'd think would drive everything into uncontrollable overdrive if it wasn't already there pre ChatGPT.

I really want to use this site but it's hard.

I think ChatGPT won't help the spammer specially in the sports discussion threads. The reason is that ChatGPT does not have the latest data of live matches as its database contains only the matches prior to 2021. So spammers can't use ChatGPT to talk about current matches and tournaments.

ChatGPT can only fetch data prior to the year 2021 as its training stopped in the year 2021.

1429  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ JacksClub.io ✨ Daily Contest with Amazing Prices | VIP Rewards | Free Faucet on: January 14, 2023, 06:26:35 PM
Was it like a race or wagering contest? At first I think that 9 dollars reward you get for that kind of wager is too small but ~~
I had received the amount from JacksClub monthly wagering contest.

Well, I just logged in to my JacksClub account after two months and found some LTC balance again! I had played with some deposits in the November month at JacksClub and made around $5.2k wager at the moment. Then I got $20 reward on the first day of December month from their monthly wagering contest. It is pleasurable to get some reward unexpectedly in this way.

People usually complain that they lose money in gambling, but here you are lucky to find money and reward at JacksClub unexpectedly. Though the amount is not that big but still if you are happy with the gambling site, its a big win for both the site and the gambler.

Previously you said that every casino does not get positive reaction so it sounds like that all campaigns were useless and ineffective.
Probably the best statement to say is "not all casinos get positive effects from running signature campaign".
In this case Jacksclub decided to stop their campaign because they do not see good effect from the campaign, it is very reasonable obviously.
The competition among bitcoin casino is so tough these days, signature campaign may make people notice the product but may not give them real players if there is no special offers in the casino compared to other existing casinos.

I do not know or understand how some gambling sites are able to gain business from signature campaigns while other may not find it useful. Sometimes i feel that some campaigns do not give enough time and stop their campaign too early, concluding that it is a waste of money to spend money on signature campaigns.
1430  Economy / Speculation / Re: what caused bitcoin to go up this january 2023 on: January 14, 2023, 02:33:49 PM
I see the price of bitcoin has increased, from 18000 now to 21000. and I think this is a good increase, at the beginning of 2023 and I think of course this is a sign that bitcoin will soon go to a bull market,

but I want to ask is bitcoin going to a bull run, or is it just a trap,? which later the price of bitcoin will fall again to 18000 or 17000?

Some people will say that market is pumping because of the CPI data but i don't think that CPI data was so significant that it pumped bitcoin to 21,000 overnight.

There are a lot of short positions opened at 18,500 and 19,000$ level as most people thought that fundamentally bitcoin is not so strong, but to everyone surprise the bitcoin is pumping and liquidating people's positions.

It's too early to say if bitcoin price is really on a bull run or it's a bull trap right now as it is weekend, however, things will be more clear on this monday.
1431  Other / Meta / Re: Users Changed Name 2023 on: January 13, 2023, 07:20:52 PM
In recent weeks we have detected that some users have changed their name.

Thats interesting as previously it was impossible to change the username and as per the forum rules it may require 50 btcBTC as mentioned by mprep here. I know the 50 BTC could not be realistic value in current times.

Q: I want to change my forum username. What should I do?
A: You can either donate 50 BTC to become a VIP or PM theymos asking to change your username (although he rarely accepts such requests nowadays).

By the way, can anyone whom usernames have changed, tell us how did they apply for the change in username and how long did it took to get the application successful?
1432  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet Selling on: January 13, 2023, 06:48:12 PM

NO, I’m not a scammer. Let me explain:

I’ve lost a ton of money in crypto this year, due in part to crypto crash, but also because I was deeply invested in Luna, Ust, and subproducts. I think these losses might be interesting for people who earned money this year, or plan on earning it next years. They might be interested in reducing profits and avoiding paying taxes on them by just declaring these losses as well.

Sorry but it looks like that you have lost money and you want to recover your money by scamming people.
Wallet selling service is mostly considered as a scam service so you won't find it here.

this is a very unique type of selling offer. I never saw anyone else before selling his wallets where he lost money. but after reading other members' posts. I think it does make sense now. and there might be some people who might actually wanna buy these.

I do not understand the reason for selling these wallets and also what benefit the buyer will get ? AS the OP has lost in crashes, i suppose there will be no money in those wallet. So what's the point in buying those wallets.

Also, if you buy the private key, that key will still be with the seller forever and he can withdraw funds from it anytime you deposit money in that wallet.
1433  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: January 11, 2023, 06:47:27 PM
It has been a long time since betnomi conducted free raffles. Is it time to start new contests? Smiley It was a pleasure for me to take part and the slight excitement to win a prize doesn't leave me until now. I'm still waiting for the announcement of the start of the raffle, but this is still not there. I don't mean to be intrusive, but perhaps you could give us a hint as to when we should expect it. Smiley Atleast approximately.
m2017, If you look at our twitter, you will see that thematic competitions are published several times a week. As for the forum contests, we are working on it at the moment and are going to launch very soon (weekly predictions, review campaign, poker series, new custom wallet raffle rounds and so on).

Below is an example of a football prediction design. I hope I was able to satisfy your interest. 🦊

Nice to hear about this promotion. However, i have a suggestion.

I believe Betnomi has a big community at twitter and therefore you publish such competitions on twitter. Bitcointalk is another forum / media and you have a lot of gamblers who follow your thread here. Why not also publish those competitions on this ANN thread too ?

Why we go to the twitter to find these offers ? Don't you consider the gamblers from bitcointalk supporting your site ?

1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream crypto adoption on: January 11, 2023, 04:16:04 PM
Good day, Crypto FAM. I found this interesting article that discusses the EU's desire to develop a cryptocurrency energy-efficiency grading system in order to encourage more environmentally friendly crypto systems.

Just as their use has grown significantly, the energy consumption of cryptocurrencies has more. In harnessing the use of cryptocurrencies and other blockchain technologies in energy markets and trading, care must be taken to use only the most energy-efficient versions of the technology.

Do you think this would help mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies?

Original source:

https://tokenist.com/eu-to-grade-cryptocurrencies-based-on-energy-consumption-report/

You need to understand that government do not like bitcoin as they have no control over bitcoin. They can't print bitcoin just as they print dollars and fiat money.

Telling and propagating that bitcoin is not environment friendly, is just an excuse to stop the usage of bitcoin or put a dent on bitcoin adoption. The real motive is to stop people using bitcoin and crypto.

They will never succeed and one day they will have to accept bitcoin as a legal currency. They can't stop bitcoin being the mainstream currency.
1435  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: January 11, 2023, 03:21:40 PM
The one important thing is that if you are claiming any bonus or promotion then it should be from the official account and legitimate site otherwise the hackers might try to scam you with these links so you should be careful while looking at these matters.

In short, you should be aware that there are phishing attempts which may steal your username and password by asking you to click on links. If you receive any email about promotions, then check if it comes from the legit gambling site source.

1 device is used for logging in your account on any platforms you shouldn't use this on clicking anything you don't know especially links coming from unknown source. Then the other device is for use for browsing with no account attached nor any important information saved for this you can be safe for the malwares this is just additional security measure on all of your account.

The more devices you have and more security measure you can take, the better it is for you. These days the hackers will exploit every loophole and it is upon us to protect our online gambling accounts.
1436  Bitcoin / Electrum / Do and Don't for Electrum Wallet on: January 11, 2023, 02:12:27 PM
If you read this post, I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2), you will find that person lost his funds because he did not protect his wallet properly.

I would like people to tell and discuss that after installing Electrum wallet on the computer, what additional steps they should take so that there are minimal chances of their funds being hacked by the intruders and hackers.
1437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2023, 07:04:50 PM
Depending what happens on this week CPI report it will say a lot about bitcoins future. Basically we are expecting 0% CPI so if it’s deflation then it’s great for stocks and crypto but if it’s positive then it’s time to worry.

Means fed might hike more since the economy is way too strong and with the tight job market they will have no choice. We don’t want that. We want to see deflation and unemployment too tick up so it means rate cuts are in the near future.

CPI report is just a temporary measure to pump or dump the bitcoin price. Usually, we have seen that the price become more volatile on the date when CPI data is released. CPI data will have zero impact on the long term price movement.

I do not think that 2023 will be a bull year. Yes, we may end the year with higher prices as compared to end of 2022 but still i would say it is an accumulation year where bitcoin price will mostly remain in range bound.
1438  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: January 10, 2023, 06:47:03 PM

Thank you for your interest.

I'm still waiting for the money. It's been three days.
Yes, I had problems with the withdrawal more than once, that's why I limited the amount of capital on betnomi.

I'm writing this to warn others. How everyone evaluates it is up to them

I can see some scam accusations against Betnomi in this thread and the betnomi team needs to address them before the people perception of this casino changes.
One reason maybe the new year holidays and lack of staff to process the complaints, but then if this is the issue or any other, they need to communicate it to their players, so the panic is not created when people are unable to get their withdrawals.
1439  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked (Electrum 4.3.2) on: January 10, 2023, 06:30:29 PM
A bunch of wacky scripts were found by my current AV, forgot the names 'cause I just immediately let the AV settle it. I will now wipe my system and install a new one.

Although your Antivirus settles the wacky scripts, but they usually maintain the history of which scripts or malware they blocked etc. If you can show them to the public, maybe someone can advise what were the scripts and what damage they can do. Though you have been already affected but it may be helpful for other user's awareness.

By the way it's really concerning if the malware / Scripts can hack anyone's wallet and leave you empty handed. Its seems that hardware wallets will become a necessity if you want to store your crypto safely.
1440  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 09, 2023, 07:10:06 PM
It is a nice strategy but as a newbie start with an amount you can afford to lose then increase your risk when your confidence level increases. 10% profit is very achievable with good timing. But make sure there is a written plan for your goal. And your plan should be bold enough and kept at a strategic place where your eye will have a daily contact with so you maintain your goal.

If you are a beginner in trading I would suggest not even use the amount which you can afford to use, but rather do paper trading and see if you can make profit with this experiment.

Most people in trading do this mistake that they start to trade with the capital without learning and without gaining any experience. The financial markets are not easy from where you can get profit and they will just snatch your money if you come in this financial markets without any preparation.
