Hehe, felicitari! Deci vezi ce gasesti in format electronic.
Eu, unul, prefer deloc decat digital.
1422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the complete version of money on: October 26, 2020, 12:37:13 PM
Only one thing I'd like to mention: although Bitcoin cannot be manipulated in the same way fiat can, a time will come when you'll see Bitcoin heavily manipulated by them as well. Even today, if you take a quick look over the graphs, you'd see that institutional investments turned BTC into a pattern more similar to stocks than commodities.

With big investors pumping hundreds of millions into BTC investments, there'll be a time when corporations such as Google will own the majority of coins. Unfortunately, while Bitcoin solves the trust issues, it cannot solve the wealth inequality - at least not yet.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation possible? Regulation Inevitable? on: October 26, 2020, 11:10:05 AM
In 10 years, knowledge about Bitcoin will be mainstream.
But will enough people have adapted to this mainstream by then?
All I'm hoping for is that the "knowledge about Bitcoin" will be legit information, and not the reputation and knowledge masses currently have about BTC thanks to the MSM staining it constantly. If we're only 10 years from mainstream knowledge, then things are going to go insanely well. One thing I don't think will happen is your second question tho. Laziness is too much of a trend today to care about learning how Bitcoin works and how to protect yourself from Surveillance States desperately attempting to invade your privacy.

Once it has become mainstream, a group of countries - or even the IMF itself - could regulate all access to Bitcoin. Tracking coins and banning the sale of coins for fiat by exchanges if they come from certain regions ( exchanges, wallet suppliers). Illegalization of the exchange of Fiat for Bitcoin, with the regulation again targeting exchanges as entry points.

This regulates Bitcoin itself.
There is never going to be regulation under Bitcoin's network, so you could basically transact at any given time even if it's illegal in your country - under your own risk, obviously. One thing I'm particularly afraid of is that unknown addresses will be flagged and as soon as the link of unknown coin owners get their identity exposed, they'll be questioned for everything they've done over the network with harsh penalties.

Something like - your coins come from a source unknown to authorities? You're suspicious. To some, it may sound like dictatorship or something not so far from Orwell's vision. I personally think it's just a few steps away from reality. We're already living in a Surveillance State - the BTC and criminal activity will be a continuous excuse that'll never end until they get their plan to succeed.

How can we defend Bitcoin against it?
I don't think so. The only thing I can think of is providing Bitcoin privacy-focused updates - but I am afraid this will push it into bans and rejection. This is double-edged: while it lets us, "the Internet Rebels", continue Satoshi's vision of a decentralized mean of exchange, Bitcoin would go into the underground markets in those countries where it'd get banned - increasing the illegal usage substantially.

We're quite close to the hard regulation of cryptocurrencies. Let's just hope it's going to be a fair regulation, and not something worse than the KYC nightmare.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really use alts for the purpose they're supposedly created for? on: October 24, 2020, 03:56:46 PM
This is explained very simply: In this thread, it was mostly traders who answered, not investors. If investors answered about their choice of altcoin, they would write about the technology and functions of these coins. For a trader, volatility and liquidity are more important.
Although investors may know the tech and functions of a certain coin they invested in, investing financial resources in it doesn't necessarily mean they're using the coin's said functions. I've personally been holding a few coins for more than 4 years and I've never used them for their real purpose.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What "Type" Of Cryptocurrencies Could Hit 5000$ - 10,000$ Mark!? on: October 24, 2020, 12:34:25 PM
Thank you for your insight.
You make Valid points. This was just my personal research and what i noticed.
No worries. Glad you posted your question on the forum. Smiley

Doing your own research is the best thing you can do, but this basic information (supply, price, mcap etc) isn't enough to find out if a cryptocurrency is insanely undervalued.

Most of the times, coins seem to pump out of nowhere but actually pump due to very positive news, such as huge development progress towards the team's goals. The thing is, it's hard to predict which coins continue to be developed towards their initial goal because for most, their development stops at one point in the future.

Some luck is necessary as well imo - for some, it's the only hope. Who could've predicted that if you bought $100 worth of ETH on the 21st of October 2015, you would've had $100k today?
1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should we welcome centralized bodies for Bitcoin mainstream on: October 24, 2020, 12:08:13 PM
for crypto to be mainstream a little sacrifice(centralization) will be needed
It's a big sacrifice. Bitcoin is here to avoid centralization, it just doesn't make sense to welcome it this way.

I understand there are so many merchants that'll allow Bitcoin payments which is great, but I'm not sure it's going to be Bitcoin you'll be paying with. Without full control over the coins, it's just like PayPal created a virtual Bitcoin and allowed you to use it. I'm really curious to find out if the "purchases using Bitcoin" are going to be done over the blockchain or PayPal takes the BTC and gives you virtual ones.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What "Type" Of Cryptocurrencies Could Hit 5000$ - 10,000$ Mark!? on: October 24, 2020, 08:06:31 AM
 1) Go to Coingecko or Coinmarketcap and Cryptocurrencies-> Recently added (or just google search "coingecko recently added".
2)ALWAYS check the 24 hrs Volume. It Should be More. (just filter it by ascending to descending) the volume should be 1,000,000$ +
( 24 hour volume is basically how much money is being circulated and most cryptocurrencies are gonna have "?" as market cap don't worry as they have just been listed. no      market cap)
  3) Price should be considerable. I Mean...it should not cost you a fortune.
4)SUPPLY! It Should be less. (when the demand rises ,the Price will increase rapidly).
5)Check the cryptocurrencies Websites and join their Discords,Telegram, Twitter and Keep yourself Up-to-Date.
  6) They Should have plans to be on BIG exchanges like Binance and more.
I wouldn't call this research. Big, big flaws in almost all of those steps you have provided.

Recently added coins do not make for coins that are going to be great. In fact, most of these coins are just scams or clones of other tokens/coins. The volume doesn't necessarily mean something significant either. Considering the currencies have only recently been added, I have to assume they're quite new in the crypto sphere. Hence, high volume could easily mean a lot of people are selling. It doesn't mean it's a bullish coin.

Regarding the price, a higher one doesn't mean the coin is too expensive and a lower one doesn't mean it's cheap. DOGE is very, very cheap yet it has an insanely high supply. You don't seem to take that into account, according to your steps. Supply could be as high or low as it can be. As long as there's demand for the said coin, it'll rise no matter if it has a trillion units in circulation or just a million.

Step no. 5 is one I finally agree with. Keep yourself up to date as some updates and news are sometimes critical. The more you know, the better. But the last step is a big mistake. Wishing for a big exchange to list your coin isn't something I'd want to see in a coin's roadmap. Trust me, if a coin has a future, it will succeed with or without Binance.

Yrise has been audited and Checked by Youtubers and claimed to be legit.
Take this with a HUGE pile of salt. A sh*t ton of YouTubers are paid big money to praise coins and tell their followers the said coin is legit. Don't take their words for granted. Having a large mass of followers doesn't mean they'll never lie to you to their own benefit.

The research you do yourself is the best one. Don't let others tell you what to think & believe - find out yourself whether you should invest in something or not and learn from your own mistakes. Practice makes perfect. Smiley
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really use alts for the purpose they're supposedly created for? on: October 24, 2020, 07:12:00 AM
Interesting replies. So far, not even a single vote towards the first option. Smiley The thoughts I previously had are now confirmed: altcoins are really only used for trading.

The sad idea that I wanted to shape is that, while altcoins advertise themselves for "revolutionary" tech and features, at the end of the day for the majority of us the only alts we use the way they're supposed to be used are privacy-focused ones - and that is because privacy is the default.

This particular reply has caught my attention:

I actually use Altcoins just for investment and trading I don't quite really sure what's their use for some of the Altcoins I'm buying I think for me their value matters rather than their actual purposes.
Altcoins are 99% of the times praised for their tech, and investors/developers always link that to their potential value. However, so far, the voice of the community says something else.

It's almost like we're misleading ourselves to believe that a certain coin has more value because for its utilities, although almost nobody ever really uses it. Smiley
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you really use alts for the purpose they're supposedly created for? on: October 23, 2020, 05:37:10 PM
So many altcoins exist, out of which some are more known and used than others. Many of these coins claim to have an utility - for example, Siacoin exists, praising themselves as a Storage Platform.

But what truly bothers me is that, if I think about all those alts I have ever purchased and held, I have never used them for what they are supposedly created for. Besides Monero, where privacy is basically the default, most coins I have ever held have only been used for exchange deposits and withdrawals.

Hence, I thought it'd be a quite interesting idea to create a poll and find an answer to the following question: Do you really use the altcoins you own for the purpose they're supposedly created for?
1430  Local / Bine ai venit! / Re: Buna, sunt noua on: October 23, 2020, 04:24:02 PM

Foarte bine atunci. Farewell Smiley
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Terror Attack Related With Bitcoin - INDIA on: October 23, 2020, 01:16:17 PM
This isn't the first time, nor will it be the last when someone wants to do a "bad thing" with BTC. And it's not the first terror attack where Bitcoin has been allegedly used either. It has been allegedly used back in the 2015 Paris terror attacks as well, and that was a great excuse for EU Authorities to plan crypto regulations just one week later.

Let's be honest here. As much as I agree we should have a legal framework against illicit activity, these really seem like patterns and excuses to me.

Already the government has been opposing the usage of cryptocurrency. Now this will be an added opportunity to stop usage of cryptocurrencies.
Ah, can they start opposing the usage of fiat as well already then? Cheesy

Smiley
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Momentum Builds for Bitcoin on: October 23, 2020, 10:23:20 AM
Everybody aware about this and doesnt care.
Why? Pretty simple that was not something really bad, that was not a crime?
As long as it has great impact on spreading awareness that the bitcoin future here has arrived in paypal, people love to welcome it.
It's just sad to see that so many people would literally sacrifice anything for a % they earn. PayPal integration with restricted usage and utility means more ways to spend Bitcoin but less chances for privacy & decentralization to succeed like it should.

Let the hype begin.
This is of course a rare momentum , how can you say that was not? Even though yes we have to anticipate the unexpected , let it flow , building a momentum now or never , the post-halving hope to get price quadrupled is back alive.
I wouldn't take this as a key moment moment for BTC. Hypes are exciting and all, but in the end it's the future I dreamed for at stake. You could read this thread I wrote a while ago to see why I personally think it's not a great moment of our community but actually the opposite. But each for their own, of course. Smiley
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fastest blockchain? on: October 23, 2020, 09:41:32 AM
The website OP has given has some quite misleading information. It first talks about how fast exchanges are, then what determines a blockchain tx to be confirmed faster/slower and then talks about the fastest coins (which aren't even the fastest) once again.

I honestly just cannot call Ethereum and Monero among the top 5 fastest cryptocurrencies. There are others that get confirmed way, way faster than them. Moreover, this following statement is very misleading:

Quote
Ethereum network, despite the issues of scalability and certain delays with network congestion, takes about 14 to 17 seconds for the transactions to go through. Ethereum blocks handle about 12 transactions per second.
Ethereum does not take 14-17 seconds for txs to go through. I never had an ETH tx be confirmed in less than like 15 minutes.. If we're talking about how quick they're broadcasted to the network, any coin can be considered "the quickest". What truly matters is how fast the txs get confirmed.

Ah, I get it now. Thanks for the very detailed explanation.

I actually relate to almost your entire message, including the part about Bitcoin. But back when a BTC was 30 GBP, $10k was as unpredictable and uncertain as $1M is today, so I take that as just a paper loss.

The "cat health products" is something definitely happening with most of the corporations' products and platforms, especially with Facebook & friend suggestions and Google & search results, and that surely is creepy as hell.. hence why I became pretty much a privacy freak lately.
1436  Local / Minerit / Re: Plan de afaceri ferma bitcoin on: October 23, 2020, 09:12:24 AM

Re: Buna, sunt noua on: October 23, 2020, 09:04:03 AM

Exact ceea ce iti sugeram in postarile anterioare: citeste, citeste, citeste.

1438  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should not use Paypal for Bitcoin on: October 22, 2020, 05:40:03 PM
not your keys not your bitcoins got famous on crypto but i never hear this saying  before by the time theres no cryptos yet . people didnt care about the money that they put on paypal and other centralized wallets because they think its already trusted
Because Bitcoin is the first currency to exist that is transparent, open-source and decentralized. It's the more fair digital version of cash. With cash, the crypto saying could be translated as "not your wallet, not your banknotes".

paypal is going strong up to this date with no reports that money got stolen except to those that got scammed .
Actually, it isn't as strong as you may think. I don't think there actually is one website or software out there that has literally zero flaws. Now that you've mentioned PayPal's supposed strength against theft, there have been really bad flaws in the past with PP. Most of the times, security is just an illusion.

after paypal announce this , threads then follow up on this site  . they all say that its the paypal causes the sudden increase in btc but days before the revelation. the price are already high but it got boosted by paypal crypto news .
I wouldn't get too excited about it. Could be just a short term hype pump as usual.
1439  Local / Bine ai venit! / Re: Buna, sunt noua on: October 22, 2020, 05:28:45 PM
Au multe reusite, ajung in top dupa care intra in multe esecuri si publicul cauta alta persoana "mai buna" in domeniu.

Smiley

I'll let you guys know how I get on with it.
I have a genuine question though, as I've been watching this thread for a while now and this doesn't seem to be something you've contemplated yet: why don't you purchase an older (so cheaper as well) Huawei model with official LineageOS support and flash it so that you have much more control over what kind of apps your phone has?

One of the main things that keep me away from Huawei is that for most of their models it is a pain in the arse to change your Stock OS with a custom one. Unlocking the bootloader is a real headache. Other than that, I have a real curiosity to know why you prefer Huawei with Stock OS minus Google rather than any phone with a more privacy-oriented and almost entirely customizable custom ROM.
