1441  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question Of Thought About Crypto Winter on: April 18, 2023, 03:14:08 AM
The bear market of 2018 was a very intense one, to me, it is much worse than the bear market of 2022. Many altcoins were dead at the time, but there are still many serious projects that still exist and thrive to this day. Typically ETH and BNB, you can see they are still developing very well.

Many people fear crypto winter, but I find it extremely useful. Winter makes the market cleaner as well as more mature. Only good projects will survive and develop, fraudulent projects will be eliminated. Đó là một điều mà thị trường ḅ không thể làm được.
I have a different view than you.

I saw a 2022 bear market is dramatically worse than the 2018 bear market. Many projects died in both bear markets but in 2018 bear market, we did not see terrible and unbelievable collapses of Tier-1 exchange like FTX and its token FTT as well as another super quick death of a top altcoin like Terra LUNA and UST. I could be wrong but I see 2022 bear market is more deadly than 2018 bear market.

Maybe technically DeFi 2.0, smart contracts are bad and they created higher risk for altcoin projects.
1442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Essential one to new traders in Crypto currency on: April 18, 2023, 01:51:45 AM
Not sure if these advices are useful at all simply because it doesn't apply to all coins/tokens. With most coins/tokens the best strategy is to get out quickly after a certain amount of percentage increase; the holding for long periods part is mostly only with bitcoin and a select few altcoins.
It starts with how people do their research, analysis and decide to begin trading with a coin / token. Their initial reason and plan to start trading will decide how long they will be ready to let their position opens and their capital will still be safe.

If they have no plan at all, they are gambling and they can try to let their position opens with hope to get profit. In fact they don't have plan to close their position and exit the market just to protect their initial capital. That will lead to serious loss if market goes bad enough.
1443  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽🎮🎲 Coinplay.com | Brand New Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: April 18, 2023, 01:43:50 AM
The example above that brought up to you by coin_trader answer this statement of yours. There is always an ups and down on business like casino but most important is how they handle all the issue against them in the end.
They can handle cases and move forward to protect their reputation first. Then they can update their Terms of service to prevent similar cases in future if they still think their stance is solid and will no longer want pay for similar cases. I believe their reputation won't be damaged if they have point to reject such payment in their Terms of service.

Quote
I agree that they are most likely will runaway or else they will not their reputation ruined because they already established it here and spend a lot on signature campaign promotion. It's sad how they choose to stick with their decision and neglect all the suggestion and result from Askgambler.
It is not always true.

I saw some casinos run signature campaigns and after a few scam accusations, they run away and were no longer actively in Bitcointalk. We can not generalize that if a casino runs a high-paid and long-lasting signature campaign, they are good and non-scam casino. They can be a good or bad casino and how they handle cases will tell us about their reputation.
1444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 17, 2023, 08:13:00 AM
Some unexpected results in the first leg might also be a surprise in the second leg, where teams that seemed to be safe with tickets to the semifinals in their hands actually became eliminated, even though this looks quite impossible, for example, the Bayern Munich vs Man City match, Inter Milan vs Benfica as well as Chelsea vs Real Madrid but sometimes the spectators is waiting for a surprise.
Bayern Munich will have to solve their impossible mission to beat Manchester City three goals at least. If they have had one goal in a first leg, their task in a second leg would have been more easily. Anyway, they have to forget about bad result in a first leg and focus on a second leg. No much time to waste as the second leg match is very nearly to play.

Quote
Benfica lost to Inter and they weren't even able to score a single goal, which is strange because Benfica is one of the teams that is quite productive in the champions league, so in the second leg, even they have to go to the San Siro, may have surprises. What is certain is that there will be one team from Serie A that will be in the semi-finals and I really want to see Napoli one of them.
Benfica lost at their home stadium which is so bad for them. Losing at home with two goals is a super bad result which is not good for them in a second leg at Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Inter Milan did not have good form in Serie A but with this great advantage from a first leg, they will be able to secure it and go to semi finals. Inter Milan will meet either Napoli or AC Milan in semi finals.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 17, 2023, 02:51:18 AM
XLM is quite an old cryptocurrency with a strong community behind it. The coin is very similar to Ripple's XRP. What differentiates XLM from XRP is decentralization. The latter is heavily-centralized, while XLM is decentralized.
Stellar Lumens team did many airdrops in the past and their airdrop distributions make XLM more decentralized. XRP is centralized owned by Ripple company and it is a big risk for XRP investors. In 2022 bear market, we saw how a centralized altcoin project like Terra could be killed by its founder Do Kwon.

Quote
There's not much to it, considering that there are other competing chains delivering real use cases to the world. Developers aren't that interested in building dApps with XLM, unlike ETH or any other alternative blockchain network. Market prices are rather stagnant, especially when demand for XLM is quite poor these days. The IBM partnership made a few years ago, didn't have a positive long-term effect over XLM's price.
Stellar looks really good if we check its chart. Not many altcoins can successfully reclaim their all time highs with a new bull run. Stellar did it in the last bull market by rising to almost $0.7 which is its 2018 all time high.

Now its price is cheap about $0.1 and is it good to consider accumulating Stellar around this price just within next 12 months?

Cryptocurrency market will be very bullish after a Bitcoin halving next year.

Any advice? Smiley
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What makes ARB price keep climbing despite occasional drops ? on: April 17, 2023, 02:28:12 AM
I read a lot of news about ARB before it was listed but the instant and endurable(at least for now) success is not usual compared to other altcoins. What is the secret to ARB's success ?
It's a free market with a zero-sum game so even if it is a successful project, it does not mean all people engage with $ARB can have profit. There are buyers buy it at top and panic sell at bottom or in correction. There are smarter people who wait for correction to buy and sell at bounce or next peak.

I think it is too soon to consider Arbitrum as a successful project as it must be tested more by hackers and next bear market.

Quote
Or simply, why its price keeps steadily climbing ? Please let me know.
Nothing can rise forever and Arbitrum has to stop its climb at some point. Currently people get hyped with Arbitrum and new cash flow pours into Arbitrum but you can not find new cash flows forever. It has to stop and when there is no new cash flow into Arbitrum, its price will drop.
1447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 17, 2023, 02:23:35 AM
Maybe the coach thought that only relying on Robert Lewandowski in the position of the attacking team was enough to score goals, but in reality, until the last half, Robert Lewandowski was unable to score, even though he had tried several times up to 15 attempts to shoot at goal but could not score at all. Xavi must consider a better strategy and must not let the score always draw.
Lewandowski has more appearances for Barcelona than what Benzema has for Real Madrid in La Liga. However, Lewandowski has become less goal productive since World Cup 2022 while Benzema is one of most goal productive players in 2023. It makes their personal race for La Liga best scorer title becomes more exciting.

With only 3 goals in difference between two strikers, Benzema can surpass Lewandowski in this race any time. He is so well with given chances from his team mates and opponents so that he can score hattrick very easily. It would be very bad ending for Lewandowski if he loses the personal title Pinicchi to Benzema at very late match days of La Liga.
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: April 16, 2023, 08:06:18 AM
Which altcoin can you recommend for me to start DCAing till  halving when the bull run is expected.
I am afraid , that before bull run such coin might have problems.
Buying altcoins in a bear market is bad. DCA altcoins within a bear market is bad too.

Quote
I don't want coins above $100, so that it will be possible to run on good profits if the investment works.
Don't buy any coin because it has cheap price or cheaper than $100. You can buy 0.003 BTC and hold it to get profit in 2024 or 0.047 ETH and hold it to get profit in 2024 altcoin season.

However, if you buy shit coins, you will not get profit and if they die in coming months, you will end with $0 as those coins or tokens will become zero in value.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 16, 2023, 06:39:23 AM
Yes, Bayern this season gives their rivals a lot of chances, but neither Union Berlin nor Dortmund can take advantage of this. I already thought that at the end of the match Dortmund would be able to win, they scored a goal in extra time and were in the majority, but just a few minutes later they missed the goal again and played the match in a draw.
Bayern Munich are no longer as strong as they were but they are still a best club in Bundesliga. Even in a season when Bayern Munich got so many problems with their players from ageing to injuries, other clubs still fail to play better than Bayern.

Dortmund gave some hope that they can take over a champion role from Bayern but a direct defeat when they played against Bayern Munich is bad. After that, Dortmund have never gained their best form back and a season is counting down.

Quote
As for Bayern, maybe they were just saving their energy for the second leg, maybe they still believe that they can fix the situation in the second leg against City.
Even when Bayern did that and lost points, Dortmund failed to reduce their gap with Bayern Munich too. That's bad and Dortmund must know such chance is not too often appear for them.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 16, 2023, 06:35:25 AM

but in the end Milan only ended in a draw against Bologna. We can't see from the previous match that Milan at that time was able to beat Napoli but the funny thing is that Napoli when they met the weak team below him, Napoli seemed to give in and in the Milan vs Napoli match it was clear that Milan won.
somehow every good team meets the team below it always gives a bad performance. but on the contrary when Milan met Bologna it only ended in a draw. weird isn't it?
That draw from AC Milan and a shocked defeat from Inter Milan will give Juventus some hope again. It is also a chance for Lazio and AS Roma to increase gaps againts AC ad Inter Milan.

AC Milan did not use their best players and I believe that the quarter final match in Naples consumes lot of concentration from AC Milan. They got a good result from the first match but it is not big enough and they want to prepare as best as possible to gain good result for a second leg too. It's many years since a last season AC Milan appeared in Champions League semi final. As consequence of pandemic on football clubs and whole world, a chance to play in semi final now means more for any club in finance income.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is Speculation & Gambling" - Warren Buffett Critisize on: April 15, 2023, 04:00:19 AM
Warren Buffet did not like Tech companies and he publicly said about that many decades ago. Recent years, Berkshire Hathaway invested into Apple which shows that Warren is a person who can change his mind if he finds good reasons for it.

I am not shocked if Warren and Berkshire Hathaway invest in to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in future. If they can invest in Apple, they can invest in cryptocurrency. If they do that, Bitcoin will surely be their first choice. With their big capital, they will want to choose a cryptocurrency that is safest, with least risk and has big trading volume enough for them to enter and exit with their big capital without waiting many days or weeks to complete their deal.

Warren and Berkshire Hathaway don't have to directly invest in Bitcoin but can invest in companies that mine Bitcoin or invest in Bitcoin like Micro Strategy.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 15, 2023, 03:54:58 AM
Two charity goals from MU defenders to the sevilla. These defenders are so kind to the sevilla. I have nothing to say about those defenders. Meguire and Malacia are the dumbest defenders that i have ever seen in EPL. I would not be surprised about meguire caused by this guy who was always making so many parody since he was coming to the manchester united. Malacia tries to follow what meguire did. I remember when MU fans were over-proud of him. Overhaul is a must for manchester united especially for all of its defenders except some experienced defender like casemiro.
Manchester United made Sevilla surprised by using Marcel Sabitzer as their main target of passes from their midfielders. It is surprising to see Sabitzer scored two goals and even had chance to make a hattrick for them. However, after getting very early big advantage, they started to play carelessly and thought like they are over quality than Sevilla. After that Manchester United wasted many opportunities to finalize the match early. In big matches with big opponents like Sevilla, many twists can happen within 90 minutes and if they have chance, they should score as many goals as possible to break down mentality of opponent.

Quote
Mu is still having good mentality but if ten hag will be using the same squad as in the first leg and im not sure if manchester united will able to win against sevilla when it was playing away. Mu may try to work so hard caused by it will not only face sevilla as opponents but the player like meguire and malacia seem to try to perform the same again as in the first leg. It's a boomerang for ten hag caused by many players who were injured. Ten hag can't even think properly for the best substitution caused by it has reached its limit.
Their mentality is not weak but unstable and can be easily broken down by opponents. They lost big advantage within last few minutes of the match. The first own goal comes from lack of concentration of Malacia. A second own goal is a bit unlucky from Harry Maguire but as said Manchester United players are fully responsible for the draw disappointed result. With this draw, they will have a very difficult match at Sevilla's home stadium in a second leg.
1453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the support zone ? on: April 14, 2023, 03:23:23 AM
Actually I am very new on trading, And while browsing the forum, I saw that most of the time people are talking about the support zone, can someone please explain to me what the support zone is, I would be a little more happy if you explain it through a chart. how can I identify the support zone ?
Support and resistance zones can flip each other at different times. When a market turns from bullish to bearish, a support zone will change to be a new resistance zone after it is broken. In contrast, when a market turns from bearish to bullish and a resistance zone is broken, price breaks out from that resistance zone, this zone will change to be a new support zone.

1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: April 14, 2023, 02:51:33 AM
It's been a widely discussed topic that any coach who signs Cristiano Ronaldo, have to meet such destination. The story of coaches being sacked after Ronaldo joins a club looks like continues. Al Nassr coach, Rudi Garcia, has left the club after Ronaldo's arrival. Wherever Ronaldo goes, his coaches seem to face problems. It's a question of whether or not they can cooperate effectively with him. If they can, great! But if not, they may face the difficult decision of having to leave the club. Is that truly how things operate?
Do you think that Al Nassr sacked Rudi Garcia because of Cristiano Ronaldo? I don't think he is a reason and is able to do that. In Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and back to Manchester United, who are coaches were sacked because of Cristiano?

I am not his fan and I don't protect him at any level, I have no reason to protect him but let's think about it as neutrally as possible. I don't see connections between a coach sack and engagement from Cristiano Ronaldo. Sorry, he is not a cause.

However, I agree that he can create a lot of noise and pressure in his club when results are not good. From this, it's time for us to think that whether Al Nassr club board members are happy with latest results. They are people who decide to sack Rudi Garcia or not and their feeling is important.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 14, 2023, 02:39:44 AM
Harry Maguire back doing what he does best, messing up and costing Man Utd in big games. That guy is an actual meme, he’s a disaster.

Not a good night for Man Utd fans, Varane and Martinez both withdrawing from the match injured, Bruno Fernandes getting a yellow card which means he is suspended for the crucial 2nd leg and throwing away a 2-0 lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the game.

Looks like it will be a Lindelof and Maguire CB partnership for the rest of the season, back to Solksjaer ball Cheesy
Maybe a big worry to Ten Hag and they will now be looking over their shoulder at the chasing pack for top 4 qualification.
It is a match with many goals and Manchester United scored all the four goals. That is so ridiculous to see what happened with them. Have a draw at home is bad as they will move to Sevilla's home stadium for a second leg. We know Sevilla are very strong in Europa League and with this draw and the advantage of home stadium, they can beat Manchester United at home to have another semi final in Europa League.

Maguire is an average central defender in quality and the cost Manchester United paid to buy him from Leicester City years ago is so expensive and unnecessary. Again he costed them a lot in a match they would have been a winner.
1456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any website to compare 2 different currency prices over time vs USD? on: April 13, 2023, 03:09:32 AM
In trading view, with free account, you can compare two cryptocurrencies on a same chart.

With free account, you will have limited parameters at the same time on your chart but honestly from my experience, you don't need to have too many parameters on your chart at the same time. It only makes your chart more complicated and unnecessary messy.

Simple is best for your trading view with TradingView.
1457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you chose bitcoin? on: April 13, 2023, 02:45:36 AM
Why do we have this so much trust on bitcoin that it not die easily? That bitcoin is a long term investment with confidentiality. Why do you chose to trust bitcoin over any other investment?
Bitcoin has yet died since 2009 when its genesis block was mined by Satoshi Nakamoto.

However we can not conclude that in future, it won't die. We can believe it will not die but life is full of surprise and black swan event can happen after a few decade, a century like how the world has a 1918 flu pandemic and nearly one century later it had a Covid-19 pandemic.

Don't use money you can not afford to lose to invest in bitcoin and hodl it.

What if some time Bitcoin will actually die?

1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 13, 2023, 02:35:20 AM
The way and manner of speed ETH bullish at times makes me feels one day, the pump price ratio of ETH may outgrow BTC not in terms of how much is BTC or ETH? But the ratio speed of pumps per bull.
If you want to have higher chance to get bigger profit, invest in altcoins. Among thousands of altcoin, Ethereum is a best altcoin for you. It's a biggest altcoin and a safest choice if you want to invest in altcoins.

Quote
I remember 2018 when ETH was less than $150 but ETH takes two weeks to bull market. If somebody should be wise enough ETH would be the next 28k dos.
It is not fair to compare Bitcoin and Ethereum at different times and different growth, adoption levels of cryptocurrency market.

Without Bitcoin launch in 2009, will we have Ethereum, likely not.

Bitcoin will always have higher price than Ethereum but ROI for Ethereum if you join in 2023 and hold it next 10 years would be better than buy Bitcoin now and hold it for 10 more years.

After all, I don't see how Ethereum can take over Bitcoin with its first position in marketcap.
1459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before You Go All In on: April 13, 2023, 01:29:39 AM
In short, you will not gonna get back all your losses in just 1 trade.
It is true. You can have 50% loss from $1000 and your capital drops to $500 but from $500, you can not gain $1000 back with 50% rise. A more difficult task if you have like -70% or -90% from your initial capital.

Quote
A lot of traders are upset because of a lot of losses and they intend to go all in just to get back those losses in a short period of time. It's like they are gambling.
They must not treat trading cryptocurrency like gambling because I believe with proper education you can be a profitable trader.
When they get a big loss, their adrenaline rises which is kind of stimulation and forces them to chase for more losses. They are not aware that when they chase losses like this, they are more likely gamblers and no longer are traders. With bad mood after bad lost streak, they will more easily to make bad decisions which don't bring better trading results for them to cover their previous loses.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 13, 2023, 01:24:11 AM
Juventus will try to play more aggressively in the quarter-finals, this is the only last chance for the Old Lady to chase a trophy this season and the match will take place at the Allianz Stadium, so that will be an additional motivation for them to win. Juventus' chances of winning the game will be much bigger compared to Sporting, because there is a lot of support that will make them superior in this match.
Winning Europa League is not important for Juventus as a trophy but it is very important for them to take it and take a corresponding ticket to participate in Champions League in the next season. As they no longer have chance to catch top four in Serie A after some defeats recent weeks under AS Roma and Lazio. Europa League is the only way they can find a door to Champions League and in fact they are one of best candidates to win it since quarter final round.

Quote
Manchester United also have the same ambition, where Old Trafford will be the venue for the opening game for the quarter-finals. I don't think these two games will end in a draw and I predict Juventus and Manchester United will win.
Manchester United have one more option so their status is better than Juventus. They are in top four of Premier League and have good chance to complete the season in top four. They definitely want to win Europa League but it does mean like a trophy for them. Their opponent Sevilla is so experience in Europa League and they will have two big tests with Sevilla.
