So as we know, some people think the ETF will pass and bitcoin will go $2000++ Other people think ETF will not ass and bitcoin will go under $1000 again
both are good opportunities to make more money
What would you bet? ETF passes or rejected? Odds change across sites.
We all know that odds doesn't mean much, anything is possible.

You can't push anything, the SEC will probably laugh at you if you tell them to please get the bitcoin ETF approved. It all comes down to what the Winklevoss have done with the documents and also how SEC wakes up that morning... because to be honest sometimes these things are pretty random, which is why it's so hard to try to take a trading decision based on this, and odds are useless.

I think that Ethereum is not worth what price we have right now, it's just for contracts and new members think that Ethereum is big thing... It's hyped because people think that this cryptocurreny will be used for payments in stores and websites, but actually not.
What you can say?
I tend to think something anywhere from $5 to $50 will be the maximun ETH is going to be worth long term, of course $50 being very, very positive about things. I just don't see how ETH is a good pick long term. Something that is so unstable and prone to more DAO tier disasters, and an inflationary, POS currency? Not for me. The fact that it's backed by endless big brands is what is hyping it in my book.

Ripple = centralized trash. It's easy to have all the transactions in the world per second if you are using a centralized system. Give us a centralized system with VISA level of onchain transactions per second that is as decentralized and robust as bitcoin's PoW and then I will be buying. Until then please stop losing my time.

lol typical script reciter all you need is a post with the words 'conservative' and 'ad-hom' and ull have the blockstream triple golden ticket you do know that andreas was talking about segwit before it was even in a form ready for bitcoin.. MAY 2016 (not october 2016.) Wrong, here is Andreas talking about the benefits of segwit in a very recent article: https://medium.com/@aantonop/i-think-you-have-captured-an-important-point-f263828a0af#.tptfrx1fghere is a recent tweet: https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/821016551075639297In any case, Andreas is irrelevant compared to Nick Szabo, and in any case, they are both for segwit. Sorry, your shitposting is ineffective.
Do you understand this represents a centralization threat that is arguably more dangerous than it being costly to run a full node?
Do you understand that in order for onchain transactions to scale anywhere notable for a global currency, the blocksize would be so huge that it would be a centralized mess of a network run by specialized "node runners" running the nodes instead of decentralized actors, thus rendering bitcoin an useless token for hipsters?

For me, watching Floyd Mayweather box is never boring, maybe is because I do some boxing myself and know the details of the sport. What he does is extremely difficult... but yes, I can understand that casual fans only want to see huge guys with massive KO power like Mike Tyson and George Foreman.
It is still a very interesting fight to see because of its oddity of 2 mixed sports for the casuals so we will see. I just hope it happens so I can make easy money again thanks to Floyd since he should win.
I am far from a casual fan and I never said that all Floyd Mayweather's fights were boring. What my point is I know this fight will be over hyped just like the Floyd versus Pacquaio fight and it will not deliver the goods. Pacman versus Floyd was one of the most boring fights in history, and it was so boring that the pundits started declaring that boxing is dead. Well, Pacquiao vs Floyd didn't deliver because of Pacquiao's fault. He was the aggressor, he should have breaken the Mayweather barrier, but he couldn't, so Floyd made him look bad. Pacquiao got some good hits here and there but that's that. But let's not forget Pacquiao is old. McGregor is in his prime physically, I think he can be an aggressor for a long time, we will see what happens, but it will probably disappoint compared to the amount of money such a fight will raise.

This is a disaster, Khabib Nughmberiob or whatever its called im too lazy too look it up, is not going to fight against Ferguson. The Tony Ferguson fight was the fight that I wanted to see because I wanted to see Connor fight the winner of this fight, I hate that we will probably never see it now, Khabib fucked big time!!! Im angry. If I bought the PPV I would be so fucking pissed.

@pereira4. That brings me back to what I have been saying in this thread. This fight will be so boring just like the Pacquiao versus Mayweather fight. Floyd hates losing and is doing this for the money. He is a hustler. So we will see him avoid getting hit all night in all rounds while Conor ineffectively chases him around.
The winner will be Floyd because of points of course.
It all comes down to a potential KO. Im sure that if the fight goes into 12 rounds, and Floyd does his usual defensive routine until the end, but then Conor suddenly lucks out with a great punch that KO's Floyd in the 12 round, nobody will say it was boring... but if there is no final KO, people will say it was boring. Non hardcore boxing fans only care about KO indeed. That will be an awesome ending there. Seconds to go, then Connor hit Mayweather with a left. Mayweather is down, fans at their feet!!! However, I believe this will not happen as Mayweather is too intelligent to let this kind of scenario happen. So the boxing fans will gonna call this boring, robbed of their money, not good as hype etc... Indeed, it would be shocking, Conor would become a legend, and Mayweather's legacy would be hindered, even if realistically he would still be a boxing legend, that would look really ugly for his legacy. 50-0 is a perfect record, retiring 49-1 would suck.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JarEszFY1WY&feature=youtu.be&t=300That was it. If anyone is supporting Bu/anti-segwit agenda, I don't know what to tell you. It was clear how Roger Ver is simply not able to form coherent arguments, he is too emotional. Johnny was articulate, calm and collected. And Johnny isn't even one of main coders. I would like to see Gmaxwell debating on those streams, see if they can keep up to the debate outside of computer screen trolling. I didn't watch it. I wasn't under the impression that Roger is a technical guy. I trust the expertise of people like Gavin and Peter Rizun who are advocating for BU and also because it makes sense to me and is extremely simple. I actually came up with the same idea on my own before BU existed that "we should let the miners decide" and that the blocksize shouldn't be part of the consensus rules. If you search the forum you might find that thread. I trust blockstream about as far as I can throw them. Gavin, the aspiring-to-be benevolent dictator of bitcoin along with Mike Hernia: http://coinjournal.net/gavin-andresen-mike-hearn-will-be-the-benevolent-dictator-of-bitcoinxt/Gavin, the idiot that got fooled by Craig "please I want to be satoshi pay attention to me" Wright. http://www.coindesk.com/gavin-andresen-regrets-role-satoshi-nakamoto-saga/And Gavin, the guy that wanted to centralize the network with his ridiculous huge blocksize increases, comparing blocksizes to webpage sizes: https://twitter.com/gavinandresen/status/636569665284775937I could go on. But sorry, Gavin hasn't done anything remarkable in years, literally nothing worth talking about other than shitposting on reddit and tweeting trash. Meanwhile Core devs have been working hard to keep making the software better, more robust, and innovating it. BUllshit Team isn't able to keep up with Core's updates: And Roger Ver... what can we say about this guy at this point? Just an idiot that won the bitcoin lottery by being at the right moment holding the right asset. Bought a lambo and goes around giving lectures and thinks he knows shit about bitcoin, pathetic. He's a child arguing with people that are playing on another level. He not only can't code anything, but he doesn't understand game theory. He doesn't see beyond "fast transactions, cheap fees = we get rich now!!!". Nick Szabo, Andreas and everyone: https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/733702311306887168http://bitcoinist.com/nick-szabo-bitcoin-censorship-resistance/http://bitcoinist.com/hashcash-antonopoulos-segwit-best/Anyone supporting BU or being against segwit in 2017 is a disgrace for bitcoin. But of course, franky1 the resident shitposter knows better, segwit is broken, BU is a way better idea, lets go BU so we can all get rich from people buying starbucks with onchain bitcoin transactions, yellow lamborghini incoming, thanks BU devs now we all can be Roger Ver.

trainscarswreck obsession with inflation means he is not grasping the basics.
BITCOIN IS DEFLATIONARY
non blockstreamers as for value(desire/utility) by increasing its value(utility) you increase value(desire) which increases its value(price)
blockstreamers by halting its value(utility) and then forcing its value(price) up, with fee filters and coded fee wars. does not mean its value(desire) can sustainably last.
trying to artificially mess with the value(price) to hope it maintains value(desire) is not a sustainable long term. which is where boom and busts/pumps and dumps occur
bitcoin is and always will be DEFLATIONARY which is of value(desire) having it usable spendable without headache or unknown costs, delays, etc= value(utility) which adds further value(desire). which causes the value(price) to increase sustainably without boom or bust / pump and dump
Value of bitcoin without a conservative block size that allows for an easy setup of nodes by unrelated parties in individual computers across the world = 0

ETH is inflationary currency, which means more coins will be added into the supply infinitely.
ETH is a PoS (soon to be) coin, which means all the big banksters can control it.
ETH is a system that has shown weakness in the past, hard forked in a stupid way, and its creator told exchanges to stop all trading to avoid people from panic selling, a total disaster. Can you imagine if satoshi told exchanges to stop trading?
In any case, I think ETH will grow in short-midterm, but long term? Im not sure about that at all. In fact, I see nothing but bitcoin as a good long term investment.

I read an article that mentioned Freddie Roach thinks the fight between Conor and Floyd could happen. He also said that he is willing to train Conor if the Irishman wants to. With a top boxing coach interested in training Conor now I am intrigued. Maybe it could really happen.
We all know the possibilities of that happening. The sad part is,the fights will be booked, players will paid to lose. The loser would be offered more money. This is how the scene works, everyone wants their pockets to be full. That fight won't determine who the actual winner is.If you have watched Southpaw you may know how these things go around. Are you saying Mayweather doesn't care if he losses and he is only for the money? Same goes for McGregor... Competitive guys that reach big things take too much pride on their craft. Sure they want to get paid, but they HATE lossing, which means they will not fuck around and they will try their best to win, there is no doubt about that in my mind. No amount of money can bribe these 2 super competitive guys. Maybe some guy that wasn't undefeated and near retirement and didn't care, but that's not the case for both fighters. It will be a real and competitive fight.

Does anyone think Bitcoin can hit $10000 during this run?
This fellow has been fairly on target with analysis going back a few years: www.vinnylingham.com/preventing-another-bitcoin-bubble-98dee44e2c7c#.48mlwk52fHe is projecting $2k by year's end. Even ignoring the price talk, I have appreciated his logic/insights before. For example, there was a great article from him about how there was a lot of unrecognized volume in BTC OTC trading. This site aggregates some places you won't find on CoinMarketCap: www.coinhills.com/market/exchange/For example, LakeBTC had about 8.5k BTC trading volume today. They are one of many "OTC" sites out there. Actually, I am a little surprised at the ETF hype as there are already 2 ways people can buy into BTC in a "regular" retirement/investment account, ignoring "Bitcoin IRA" which I think is a little weird (aside from the fact that Ed Moy, Former US Mint Director, is their chief strategist). We have both GBTC (Barry Silbert's Bitcoin Investment Trust) as well as Coin XBT ( www.xbtprovider.com). The latter is interesting as it trades on the NASDAQ Nordic exchange, has market making (they profit off the spread versus declining BTC "backing" per share like GBTC) and trades in both SEK and EUR based instruments (worth 0.005 and 0.05 of a BTC, respectively). Coin XBT is especially easy to buy as it is available on global platforms like Interactive Brokers. Pretty much anyone in the developed world can buy into it. And it has good volume. On February 23, for example, it had almost $1B SEK in trading volume (~ $100M USD). The EUR instrument also had decent volume. Oh, and CoinMarketCap or any of the other sites don't include this data at all Don't remember what the CMC volume for BTC was that day, but I am recalling $400M, so that is 25% in volume that most people are not aware of! As far as I know the ETF is different, it is way more secure, and way more accessible. Mutual funds will start investing in bitcoin via COIN shares, and even your grandma could go to a bank and tell them to buy you some COIN shares. About DASH, im not sure why its pumping, as far as I know theres nothing new under the sun right? so what the fuck is going on?

It's obvious that the fight will happen now, so we are going to be seeing a lot of this back and forth.. it's called marketing. They will announce the final deal probably this year during Xmas, and the fight will happen in 2018, probably first quarter, second quarter latest... and it will be a success, highest selling fight ever easily, it's the ultimate business for everyone involved.

Me and every other investor are asking : why is dash pumping so hard?
The answer we get is: Nothing. We don't still don't know anything. I can't keep track of every altcoin in the game. Last time I payed attention to this coin it had some weaknesses I didn't like. Has anything changed at all? is this just a short lived pump? what the hell is going on with Dash? I mean c'mon, I doubt they have done anything game breaking to justify this big price increase???

What can I say? I hope everyone bought the dip. When I made this thread price was $1127 (bitfinex), today we've hit yet another all time high at $1231. It's amazing how bitcoin keeps shutting dumb fucking mouths left and right. All the haters are crying again now as we speak.
We'll soon hit $1250 finally surpassing the MtGox ATH. And probably some idiots will sell, then they will see it grow to $1300. Isn't life wonderful as a bitcoin holder?

I was thinking about buying other coins to profit and make more BTC too as BTC grows, but I don't see a clear pick to risk my bitcoins at... Maybe I should have bought ETH and DASH but what did I knew? Even this ZCASH crap pumped to like 30%, but how can you even foresee that? I guess ETH is a good pick because ETH keeps getting shilled by microsoft and all those big companies but ultimately that means nothing... I don't know what to do. I want more BTC, but I see no clear investments... fuuuck (

Waiting for $1000 won't work this time. $1100 If you get lucky.
Even teddy bears know it, being conservative with your gambling in the day trading game is going to be key. If you miss your position by being left behind holding fiat you will feel like the biggest idiot as the price keeps going. I would not trade with margins biggest than 20 dollars, take profits and always be in btc.
