1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto Scammer on the run on: November 18, 2020, 07:26:36 PM

Because people like easy money they will continue to get scammed, whether with cryptocurrency or not. I read about this Inksnation thing early this year and knew at once that it was a ponzi. Any business that promise to trade for you or pay you a certain percentage daily or monthly should not be trusted. They are only after your money. Internet scams is everywhere and not limited to certain countries. There are thieves in every country, even in Finland which is believed to be the most trusted country in the world.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrowed very important for bounty? on: November 18, 2020, 06:12:21 PM

Most managers know that escrowing bounties is better than the unnecessary risk of not escrowing them. But them not negotiating it from the beginning can be from greed and fear on their part. New managers will be scared of losing any bounty contract that comes their way. They rather accept to run bounties than miss it even when the reward system may not favour them. I have done a lot of bounties that did not bother to pay at all till date. In some cases the managers got tagged.
1463  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do I need to be in favor of the company I am advertising? on: November 17, 2020, 07:17:08 PM

Writing and talking about positive things about the company you are advertising will be like kissing asses. But I have not seen anyone who talks bad about a company they are promoting here because doong that will be going against your pay master. I believe once you wear a company's campaign logo it simply means you support whatever product the company is advertising.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just poked that GUY on: November 17, 2020, 05:36:20 PM
however, i think that sometimes it is good to remind other people of the idiocy of these people and how FUD works. for example recently someone bumped a topic in speculation board which i liked because it was a good reminder about how they operate during any kind of dip. and that has educational merit.

I went through that link you have here and it looked like some of the posters there did not understand well what bitcoin is. I read coments from legendary members and was disappointed they talked so much ill about bitcoin. I wish we can find out what they have to say now that bitcoin did not die according to their prophecy.
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be fooled on: November 17, 2020, 07:32:29 AM
Coronavirus is the reason why market is in very bad shape, it will be very stupid to exit because of this while others are making good choice presently, many are already saying it's the end for crypto but the fact is Bitcoin died several times in the past and it's still alive today, do not be fooled by those who don't understand the technology

Am sure those who said it is the end of crypto will be taking back their words by now, especially those who did early this year when bitcoin dumped because of coronavirus pandemic.

When crypto market goes bad isn't a very good time for buying coins not the time to quit, people are using the whole market advantage wrongly, many still don't understand this, both bear market and bull market have their own advantages, you just have to use them right lol

Market dumps will always frighten the weak minded investors who will think the worst and will not buy at such a time. Otherwise that is the best time to buy tokens of projects trusted.

Only a madman believes that crypto will die, because a madman is incapable of thinking.

Especially when it has to do with Bitcoin and Ethereum. This two coins wil always be there.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are new to crypto this is for you on: November 17, 2020, 06:38:37 AM
No!

I keep telling people that diversification doesn't work in crypto.

It's a rule taken straight from traditional investing where you diversify between stocks arnd real estate and so on so if there's a crash on one of the markets you don't lose everything and may profit somewhere else.

Crypto is crypto. It doesn't matter if you buy one shitcoin or the other if Bitcoin crashes they will al crash.

I agree with you. Breaking your investment is not ideal in crypto because even those other tokens you are investing in may not be productive to make you profit. But you may be lucky to pick just a singe project and throw in all you want to invest and the penny project turns into dollar value. When multiplied with the several units you have you can see how huge your profit margin will be.  A 10,000 units of a profitable project will not be on the same margin of profit with a 1,000 units.
1467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White House operating under the assumption of a second term for Trump. on: November 16, 2020, 08:23:21 PM
Hillary conceded Wednesday after the election (2016 Nov 9). She got the same amount of electoral votes as Trump did in 2020.

I'm sure you know that resorting to blatant lies to keep Trump's scam going is not cool. Why are you still doing that?

To tell you that am not shocked that there are certain men and women still defending Trump and calling the electoral process rigged, I will not be saying the whole truth. What those who support Trump on this stand to gain is what I do not know and can not explain. Trump should call Joe Biden and congratulate the old man for defeatig him. This simple act shoud not cause any pandemonium or deflation of ego for Trump. He should do the right thing.
1468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My view on Bitcoin on: November 16, 2020, 04:57:11 PM
Reason why a lot of very early adopters sold at a loss, buying back during FOMO and selling at a loss again, so while it made a lot of people rich, it rekt some others.

This amused me big and I had a big smile reading through your comment on how lots of early adopters got themselves messed up by buying and selling at wrong times. This is the same situation a lot of people find themselves in today. Well, my view on Bitcoin is that it is a tradable non tangible asset. I see Bitcoin as fixed asset that I can buy and allow to appreciate in value and then sell it for  profit. I know many think Bitcoin is money.
1469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 16, 2020, 07:15:57 AM
Bitcoin needs more women is a wrong statement if you permit me to say that, bitcoin did not depend on women, so why using such statements? What bitcoin needs are people, it can be men or women, irrespective of the gender. But, let us put it this way, that women needs bitcoin, also everybody needs bitcoin, because the price will still rise higher, making better future for bitcoin. The bitcoin better future will reflect into people investing in it, women included. Also, just know that more women are investing in bitcoin, especially in 2020.

What the poster wanted to achieve is that more women should come in and show interest in bitcoin and not that kind of needing bitcoin per se. It is interest thing. But following the reasoning of the poster will mean making a gender statement which I find distasteful. Everything we do must not be about gender equality and so men and women should not be seen to be in competition everytime. Let those who have genuine reasons for doing something do them.
1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin movement launches its first limited edition streetware collection on: November 16, 2020, 04:50:59 AM
You should not fall for this cheap trick. I see it as a trick because  they are riding on the influence of Bitcoin and the mooning price level to advertise their company. I do not see anything genuine on their part showcasing Bitcoin. The fashion crazy guys will like the clothings even when they donot understand the BTCMVMNT initials which do not even clearly explains that it is Bitcoin referred to there. The print is another marketing strategy and not more than that.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be very cautious with your alts this period, you either sell early or hold. on: November 15, 2020, 03:39:56 PM
You holding unto your investments has to have some very strong backing like the project has to be really worth it and not the hyped shitcoins getting listed on all exchanges this days.

Sometimes it is better to sell off early to beat dump but you really can not know a shitcoin from another that will do well in the market. Here is the big problem because If you do not know a shitcoin how do you know one that is really worth keeping? It is not even enough to list on exchanges, whether shitcoins or not, good projects will always be good and bad ones be bad. Hype can not sustain a bad project for long. It crashes when the hype clears out.
1472  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying and selling on this forum on: November 14, 2020, 07:25:23 AM
4. Accept escrow with a reputable person
5. Only trade with trusted on site escrow
This is the major reason the op asked to be directed. If they are lost as to where they can get a safe deal and not get duped, I think it is only proper to properly direct them to the right links which you did not provide here.

Just for info if you are wondering where to find reputable escrow, use this list:
Recommended bitcointalk escrow services

Thank you for the information. I did not know there is a thread for reputable escrow in this forum. But it is like most escrows will exchange for foreign currencies against my local currency in Africa.
1473  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anybody else still give a damn about election? on: November 14, 2020, 05:44:22 AM

Well I used to be naive and young and such, I know kids today all talking politics in school, even my niece as young as kindergarten are starting to talk about politics, I think it’s bad parenting to teach their kids politics at such a young age, because when I’m a junior I would indulge into video game and totally give zero damn about politics.

May be your time was a period without social media. Now is that age of overflowing knowledge.  It is better kids no matter how small they are learn about politics than learn vices. Or is it better they learn about sex and all the devilish and demonic stuff parents do?
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess bounty hunters really kill projects on: November 12, 2020, 07:08:30 PM

There was also one year of work with a yield of only $ 20, this is often the case with bounty hunters..

This is why most of this bounties do not like paying in bitcoin because the team know that their project might fail. It is sad that someone will promote a project for that long and end up getting paid that small amount, wasting time and energy. And then someone comes to blame a failed project on hunters is very funny.
1475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: November 12, 2020, 07:29:40 AM
I would prefer ICO because most of the time IEO are instantly filled up. ICO back then is powered by the community while IEO its the whales that are buying the token.

Who told you that whales did not buy in ICOs? Whales will always buy in any project that can make them money. The same way they buy in IEOs is the same way they buy in ICOs. In fact they made buying ICOs very difficult for investors who have few cash to throw around as they took up buying space and make traffic heavy on those sites. Anybody buying ICO is exposing himself to a bigger risk than those on IEO.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects can still deliver on: November 12, 2020, 06:32:07 AM

You missed Thorecoin. That token has done the highest run I have seen in years from less than 30cents in 2019 to the current price of over $3,000. Compound also has done well. But there are alot of projects too that did not make any headway. Alot of them and that is because so many projects are coming into the industry now without scrutiny. There is need to restrict the rate these projects come to the market and it will help to reduce scam too.
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UPS AND DOWNS IN BOUNTY ACTIVITIES on: November 11, 2020, 09:38:17 PM
As you join campaigns and earn your pay, remember that it could be frustrating at some point especially after the bitcoin bull run run that is been experienced recently.
My suggestion, build your knowledge and move to the services section for quality campaigns
the altcoin bounty section is highly unpredictable.

You advise people to move to service section and join signature campaigns in what you term the unpredictable nature of bounties, and that is true as we have seen many bounties refuse to pay hunters after bounty ends. But I can see you are wearing a bounty logo and advertising for them. What changed with the Jacs bounty you are promoting? Are you looking at the intergrity of the manager or of the project here?
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: November 10, 2020, 06:27:49 AM
In the process of trying to be a future whales you could lost everything, trust me this got me no where and I realized that I've lost tons of money because I was never contented, be smart and always take advantage of any project that brings you profit, do not stare at your wallet and say 'im gonna be rich in 3 years later' this is 1% out of 100% chance that it's ever going to happen, remember, been rich isn't the most important part of our lives but living a good life is.

I do not understand the problem you tried to share here about what made you lost money. Was it that you lost your investment to scammers or that your wallet was hacked or that you bought tokens at ICO that did not list? Generally what I have realised is that crypto business is not a 100% guarantee to become rich. It is a luck and coincident thing to get a token which can make you money. It takes time ti become rich.
1479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How will Trump leave the White House? on: November 09, 2020, 03:31:57 PM
May be Trump will sneak out of the White House at night if he is embarrassed by the Biden defeat. His best decision will be not to drag the system to court. He should leave quietly in January, otherwise he will belittle the office of the American presidency like they do in Africa with electoral court suites.
1480  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Passed Away Today Would You Family set up a gofundme Account? on: November 07, 2020, 05:09:44 AM

Sorry about the passing away of your mum. My condolence to you.

Life insurance is for those who already have a source of living or in government employment. Those who do not have jobs and can barely eat do not go for life insurance. What life can they insure when they can barely feed it? The way OP said it, it looks like burial rites cost a fortune where they come from. Cultures should begin to make burials easy and cheap for their people. As for gofundme account, that is not necessary.
