I checked a few of those and there are 5 ratings from people that do mention they haven't been through the fire with it, so, are those ratings completely true if the box wasn't actually put to the test?
From my army training and the years I spent with inspections on the farm's buildings, there are a few things you need to look at in those so-called safe boxes, the temperature they are rated and the amount of time they are rated for at that temperature.
So if it's safe for 2000C without the time then it means it's garbage.
No safe box should ever have under an hour of constant +1000C, the average house fire goes to 800 and it can keep those for more than half an hour without intervention, so most of those "silicone fiber glass " and other stuff is useless, they throw at you a certification that really means nothing, like the 30$ box that shows a UL94 classification which is for the material itself, not for the protection of the content.
Two guys are asking for the fire rating and the shop owner just avoids the question going bla bla bla.
I don;'t know maybe it's just me but storing more than 1 BTC in a cheap $20 alibaba safe (yeah I know it's amazon but I've seen enough resellers to not care anymore about the brand) seems like a really not so good idea!
Resellers are out there who is buying from chinese website and resell them on Amazon and just wanted to mention that we can get the least protection instead of nothing with 30 dollars. Personally I don't use any of those safe boxes because we have a vault which is almost weigh half a ton from my assumption where every documents are stored and its completely fireproof but never been tested as far as I know but on the paper iron can withstand upto 1500°c so it's good against fire and I don't think there will be any kind of flood or something where I am living. |

Doing anything with not much of pressure in our mind will help us to reach what we are trying to achieve but it doesn't has anything to do with the gambling and I think from different perspective if someone is too confident and keep trying until he get back the loss but after a while he is losing more by chasing the loss.

You need guidance for how to make money from bitcointalk and nothing else, don't get offended and there is nothing wrong earning money here but what efforts are you giving to make it happen only matters at the end. Already mentioned above that you violated one of the forum rules do first you need to read the rules to avoid your account from getting banned. Then you need 99 more merits to reach full member and can start earning in Bitcoin if you're accepted in a campaign. |

In default, newbie message already get blocked, so I don't see any good reason to allow receive message from a newbie account.
Newbies can have genuine query to ask someone personal and what if theymos or Global mod thought same as you and decided to disable their PMing feature? These kind of scams are new which exists all over the internet and also there were some in bitcointalk which can be seens in service section but paying money to watch them N*k*d doesn't worth cause we can see them in HD quality for free on many sites.  |

Honestly, I wouldn't cheap out on a good safety deposit box if you really want it to be water and fireproof. I am sure it would be a horrible feeling getting one that turns out to be semi-water/fire proof. $30 for a good product seems like a toy for children. I am thinking more like $100 if you want something worth the trouble. And I would also Google any safe I intend to buy and look for professional reviews where they show if the product really protects the contents against water and fire. I said we can get from 30 so for someone who just looking for basic boxes can consider these inexpensive which also got have 4+ ratings the actual sturdy one which I noticed is 299 if I am not wrong and it looks good.
Here's the thing though - if a fireproof safe was a completely, 100% reliable method of storing things, then you could just put a paper wallet in it and be completely safe. There would be no need for safe deposit boxes at banks throughout the world. Cloud storage would be unnecessary, since an external hard drive in a fireproof safe would be 100% safe. And so on.
But keeping paper in our hands is easier when we comparing with keeping gold and fiat money that is why bank deposits were famous for but nothing is completely safe so keeping at least two backup in different secured place can give us chances to recover the wallet in case one thing lost due to natural calamities and we are still alive out there and need money for survival. |

Can the average person think about all possibilities? I live in an area where there was no seismic or fires before, but we are near the sea, so I keep the seeds in its normal storage, it is in paper that is not a waterproof or fire. so if something like this happens, my wallet seeds will disappear. Even if you live in an area with no earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, etc., your home is still not immune to a simple fire. The point is that if your only back up is stored in the same place you store your actual wallets (be they hardware wallets or software wallets on a computer), then your entire system has a single point of failure. From Amazon I can find water and fireproof safe box starting from $35+ ( https://www.amazon.com/s?k=water+and+fireproof+safe+box+for+home&crid=2OYU5UWUVG3FJ&sprefix=water+and+fireproof+%2Caps%2C485&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_20) so its worth buying and can be more cheaper with some deals and coupons or nearby shops, but more compact the safe then it will be easier to keep it secured and hidden since we are only going to keep piece of paper(s). With the climate change I can feel unusual rainy season and pour all of sudden which is supposed to rain for over s period so taking precautions before losing our assets is the smart decisions. |

So this proves when inflation goes down the price of Bitcoin will rise and ironically when it goes high the price even get higher unless the price of Bitcoin affected by other factors.
Bitcoin on the rise no matter what, one more valid proof to hold Bitcoins over fiat at whatever situation it is.
That's probably because when inflation rate is high, people with money take refuge in assets like Bitcoin to save their money from getting inflated. Similarly, when the inflation rate is low, people start saving up but again with the fear of inflation, they don't do it in traditional ways but modern ways of saving like buying and storing Bitcoins. Either way, it's a win-win for Bitcoin and it's admirers with global economy dropping or growing, we will always see significant growth over time for Bitcoin. More and more institutions will see this change and will surely get around Bitcoin and try to leverage to technology in their own favor. Bitcoin isn't the stablest asset either few days back it was trading around 25K now its in mid 23K so there is loss of value and its huge compared to the inflation rate even if its extreme that volatility beats the value in a day vs per annum. But looking at the chart its going up after every cycle that's why people recommend HODL so there will be high returns in next few years and don't panic for everyday market movements. |

Will those who earn from campaigns, offer services online or conduct business with cryptocurrency be so rich, seeing that they have been in the game long and have accessed or have access in the form of holdings or savings or have its coins as payment in one form or another?
In 2017 when ICOs are at their peak many bounty hunters made thousands of dollars and whether is it rich enough depends on what is our financial needs and status. Replying to the part I quoted yes, definitely cause even in my 5 years of existence I saw 0.01BTC per week for 20 posts which is $250, and some campaigns even gave more rewards than that so if anyone is holding those assets until now from their signature campaign earning itself they should be at least made 10x even with a current bear market. |

It maybe a genuine error occured ahile rendering the image cause we are talking about something which created at the time when technology is not that grown compared to now. Or the creator encrypted some secret code like governments did at the time or world wars. Or he just did with the intention, will someone notice it or not? But it took more than 10 years.  |

So what are you investing in bitcoin for? Are you looking for decentralization and financial transparency? It is true that Satoshi's purpose of creating bitcoins was to create a transparent trading system and no need for a third party. But so far, bitcoin is a highly profitable investment channel, and people go there for profit reasons. Market participants to this day are looking forward to the wealth that bitcoin brings, you and me included.
Making money is one of the reasons but it isn't the sole reason and satoshi didn't have such visions while creating bitcoin as well. Of course you, me, and everyone else need money in this world to survive but bitcoin brings decentralization which gives complete control of our money in our hands while fiat is highly controlled by central banks, and can do whatever they want when they want to. I understand blockchain technology so I believe it is going to be the future of money that is the reason why I am here nothing else, and who knows one day I can tell about being one of the earliest adopters of bitcoin to my grandkids.  |

Official names and titles, in my opinion, are not as significant as what we ourselves are. The inner state is more important than the rank. Frankly, I still don't feel like a Legendary, because I don't have sufficient knowledge to consider myself as such. I am not ashamed to say that I will ask questions that would not expect from a high rank. So, your wish for new heights is very appropriate in my case. This implies that not all Legendaries are well-rounded members and can understand everything without asking. There are even many Legendaries here who are spammers, without much knowledge and living in the dark among other low ranking spammers. I don't deny it, it exists and will continue to exist. About your new rank, it is fun. I even wonder when I'll become Legendary - I think months from now or maybe when ATH just hits. LOL You have enough merits but lack activity which can be earned only by patience so let's say at least a year from now to reach about 900+ to 1000 activities which are normally when someone will become legendary and it's completely random so if you are lucky it may happen as early as possible. Honestly, I don't believe what billionaires say about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies because they know bitcoin's lucrative potential, and they don't want people to get rich quickly and on par with them. They are afraid of that happening, so they always talk bad about bitcoin to keep people away from bitcoin. I believe there are many billionaires who are quietly investing in bitcoin, they are not stupid enough to not see the potential of bitcoin, but they do not want equality in this world. They're not afraid of people getting rich all they afraid is people is adapting to decentralized monetary system which makes billionaires to become powerless so they are pushing the governments as hard as they can to suppress the growth since we are at the earliest stage of its adoption. But Bitcoin isn't made to make people rich either it's solely created with complete transparency when it comes to transaction no third party needed for any transaction to happen. |

We may see no car manufacturers will be manufacturing IC engine cars by that time because already the hige manufacturers are doing R&D for producing the practical EV vehicles but the charging station infrastructure is lacking in most countries so people are not buying it now but I feel by 2025/26 itself we can see the actual evolution of EV vehicles.

If I am not wrong you had this query after seeing something related to untouchable savings, its different from the savings we do because its done with the purpose of serving financial help for next generation so if you can do afford such trading it is appreciable act and you grandkids may feel little ease due to that kind of savings.
Apart from that we should spend our savings for our needs and avoid spending it for wants.

I was kind of confused little about something, after someone walked on to me and was telling me that in trading, there are seasons when you profit from it (lucky days) and when but when I asked for an explanation, he didn't give a clear explanation, so I had to bring it up here to know if there are truly seasons of profits in trading and how can I identify such seasons?
You can make money anyday by trading but its possible when you buy and sell at the right time that is the reason its close to impossible to be consistent as day trader with their success rate. And if you say bull season is the best season for trading then its wrong cause keep holding itself will bring the appreciation for your bitcoin then why do you have to put extra effort to buy and sell at that time? |

Congratulations OP for achieving what you have dreamed off and this is another example for nothing can stop when you keep working on your goals. But myself never gave much attention to the merits column, I am happy with the financial knowledge I am getting from bitcointalk and it helped me a lot personally to break and live a good life but topics like these kinds of triggers me to get more merits and now am asking myself what am I doing wrong? Or I am just another bounty spammer? |
