https://news.bitcoin.com/pokemon-go-integrated-bitcoin/

This article has been viewed by pokemon fanatics and they are waiting to see what are the new features it has to offer. While bitcoin users are excited to have a new app that can earn bitcoins. But this is not yet available, as the article said, it is just a concept, a question or probability. The question on how and when will it happen still left as a mystery as they are waiting for a hacker to link pokemon and bitcoins.

It is just a speculation and the article talks about pokebits, a bitcoin faucet which is worthless for my opinion. As far as i know the pokecoins can be bought only through AppStore and GooglePlay which take their cut of course. How bitcoin can be alternative included there is if these stores accept bitcoin.

Also, one can buy Play Store and App Store gift cards with bitcoin.

Onecoin is a scam and people should be warned about that.

There's no 'Recover your password' button in your wallet, if you can't access your private keys those bitcoins are lost forever.

Try this guy here: https://walletrecoveryservices.com/

If you're lucky enough you might recover your coins.
Thanks I will try this type of method but how reliable are his services? What percent of a success rate would using this way have?

1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Pokemon soon to merge on: July 20, 2016, 03:55:07 PM
This is stupid, Pokemons cannot be traded and should not be traded, also Pokémon Go developers should not use third party networks for the game.

Also, bitcoin developers do not allow such thing to be done in the bitcoin network, the amount of new transactions would be enormous, problems for bitcoin network and huge problems for the game.

People just want to put bitcoin everywhere, even where it doesn't belong.
PokemonGo has long planned trading, with 150 it may not seem to be very required but you must remember there are 750+ now and a new generation coming in November we could see 900 and trading will be more or less required to complete a pokedex.

Well, that's a great point.

The fun in the game is chasing the little monsters, but collecting 900 of them, that may take my entire life. Cheesy

Lets see what the future will bring.

1489  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pokemon Go - First step for became Gambler on: July 20, 2016, 10:07:39 AM
I think that when a person spends most of his time chasing a game, this type of action becomes a disease. In all of this Pokemon go could indicate an initial tendency toward to exaggerate in the game that over time could result in the first step to became a gambler.

What!? This is like saying "I caught a Pokemon now I'm completely a gambler." When I saw the title of this thread, I was like "Uhm, okay. Is there money involved in Pokemon Go and can you bet on battles? Let me check real quick."

OP's point is still unclear to me due to his not-so-good-English. But this is how I pictured it: People are betting on Pokemon battles. Not sure why would people bet on battles in Pokemon Go because Pokemon players all know that each element is weak/strong against an element or two. Pro players would always win on this type of betting game because by knowing the element and the gap etween the levels of two Pokemons, you would easily know which one would win.

Sorry for Bad english first. My post is not about spendig money in Pokemon Go, but is related to the time that a lot of people spend in cathcing pokemon. I only would say that if sameone spend a lot of time for follow a game, it's could be a first step of gambling addiction.

It might be the first step to become a game developer...

Or an explorer...

Or any other stuff...

I can't believe how popular that Pokemon Go game is, there are literally men in their 30's playing it, obsessed with it. All a bit weird if you ask me, fine for kids but I think it's strange adults play it.

Kids don't have a car to go hunt pokemons in cool places, they can't afford spending 100 euros in Pokecoins, they don't have mobile connections with enough data. Smiley

Plus, it's good for people to exercise and spend more time in the outdoors.
1491  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pokemon Go - First step for became Gambler on: July 20, 2016, 08:56:12 AM
Dude, Pokemon Go is not the first addicted game ever, since there are video games there have been addicts.

There was a time in my life when I played counter Strike at least 5 hours a day, there were days I played for 12 hours.
1492  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: July 19, 2016, 02:00:24 PM
There's only one destination for coins bought at Coinbase, and it's to be sold at Coinbase.

Use it as an exchange not as a wallet, if you need a wallet use a proper one.
1493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you convince people to use Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2016, 08:41:40 AM
I usually advise people to stay away from bitcoin, specially friends and family, because when they get scammed, get their coins stolen or something like that they will be pissed with me, only to my colleges in IT I say to give it a look.

1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: July 15, 2016, 02:26:12 PM
X-ray and klintay: this is why we also have this program for most of the unclaimed lumens: https://www.stellar.org/blog/build-challenge/
If you build a project on stellar you can get *a lot* of lumens
Now what is lumen ? Is it something different from XLM, which is represented here - http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stellar/ ? Moreover, can these be collected anytime in future against previous bitcoin holdings ?

Lumen is XLM, previously called stellar or STR

You can claim your free lumens till October 5th.

Quote
October 5, 2016: The first round of the lumen giveaway to bitcoin holders will conclude. If there are unclaimed lumens, they’ll go to Stellar.org’s operational fund.

1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Altcoins profitability for newbie on: July 14, 2016, 01:22:49 PM
Here you go:

http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

If you don't have access to cheap hardware and very cheap electricity and cheap facilities and cheap maintenance and all that stuff you will lose some of your money.

If you gamble in the 'cloud mining' business you will probably lose all your money.

There's no profitable mining for newbies, mining is a very competitive business.
1498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has Anyone Heard Of AAABlockchain Ltd? on: July 14, 2016, 01:05:53 PM
A friend has just brought shares in this company which is based in Belize apparently.

I know what you are thinking, but, if anyone has heard of them please let me know.

Many of us are very familiar with that private offering. And we already wrote (and you received) a message informing you of that. By the way, your promo video has been removed from YouTube due to Terms of Service violations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtVWRAolmpU

Using this forum or any public forum to cast a negative light on legitimate private business transactions is immature and speaks less about any investment than it does about the poster (motives, etc.). And going forward, always consider that seasoned investors browse these forums culling out promising upstarts. Kindly remove your query since it's been asked and answered.

There's nothing to delete, people should be warned about scams.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what will be the contigency of bitcoin if internet went wrong? on: July 14, 2016, 12:58:56 PM
There's no need for a contingency, bitcoin doesn't even make sense without Internet, but if the Internet stops working that means something really bad happened, bad as in we are all dead because of the giant meteor!  Cheesy
