1482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe to give your details and documents out in the name of KYC? on: September 12, 2018, 01:41:10 PM
I think no need to do KYC if you are not sure with whom you are doing the KYC. How can we trust our document with someone that we only know by online identity (that can vanish any day.)
If KYC Documents are misused than you might land in legal problems too and no need to give your documents for some pennies.
1483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [btc] How to post a valid Signature campaign on: September 12, 2018, 01:33:16 PM
I just ran a campaign signatures for a campaign, but it seems my post was not counted. Has anyone sent me a link to five valid signature campaign posts for any campaign?

Your English looks very poor , You are saying you "ran" a signature campaign instead of saying you "participated" in in it.  Signature campaign guideline differ for each campaign but whatever the guideline ,it will be clearly written there.
Read your any number of campaign you want to read at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

But  learn English first, it look to me either you used Google translate or you have no idea of sentence formation and with such poor English your post are sure to be rejected.
1484  Other / Meta / Re: Why the rank does not grow on: September 11, 2018, 11:32:03 PM
I'm on the forum not so long ago. I live in Ukraine, and although my country is not the last in the issue of crypto currency, many people have no idea about it.  I learned about the world of crypt last winter. At first I did not want to register on the forum because I do not know English. Then I was interested in the crypto currency and the opportunity to make money. Everything was fine as long as there were no new rules for changing ranks.
That's why I have a question for everyone who is older than the rank. How can i get a merit if the forum has a huge number of newcomers who write something every minute. Now I go to the forum and see a lot of different information. Even if I want to write something useful, it's always on the forum. How to raise a rank in such a situation?
I can agree that forum has vast information and whatever you want to write is always there but still forum has large number of newbies having question so you can still show them the way to the correct reponses , thread and boards.
You are somewhat misguided that users are getting merits because they are writing every minute. Users are getting Merits for their writing ability and skills.
Users like Ddmrddmr get merits for statistics analysis, Piggy got for sql tool, isaneko got for his thought for forum improvement , CryptoCoolvator and ICOEthics for busting scam ICOs, Coinlocker$ for Alt account busting, bitmover for creating some good articles and so on. You do not need to be Bitcoin developer or crypto coin developer but you need to something productive, useful for community and if it is somewhat unique than it might open the gold mine of Merit for you.
You need to think what is not in forum and you can use your skills to create it or something existing that you can improve it. Certainly it will look painful but there is old adage "No pain, No gain".
1485  Other / Meta / Re: Some topic should sticked. Moderators please check & consider if possible. on: September 11, 2018, 11:14:15 PM
I see many people are advocating for one thread and link them all, overall it is good approach but it make all things generic in nature. Sticking the topic to the forum where it belongs make it more impactful and more relevant. We really need to send a one pager to all user registered here about rules and how to use forum effectively. It will avoid duplicate questions , less spam and some happy users.
1486  Other / Meta / Re: Which discussion board to visit to really learn about cryptocurrency? on: September 11, 2018, 10:29:21 PM
I know I can always come to the Beginners board and ask and look around but every board seem to have the same topics, so I wonder if there is a particular board here that I can come to, to read more and learn about cryptocurrencies? Something I can learn about proper trading and buying cryptos, a board where every newbie can actually learn about it and not get typical replies like be smart and patient and do your research? Thank you.
I am bit confused with your question as it is not making clear whether you want to learn about crypto currencies or you want to learn about trading of crypto currencies. They are different knowledge branch . For learning Crypto currencies I will suggest to pick few coin from top 20 like BTC, ETH and read their white paper do the transaction in it discuss in relevant thread.
But if you want to learn trading  then I think you can start with investopedia articles
1487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello! (introduction) on: September 11, 2018, 09:51:09 PM
Hello everyone. Not sure how I haven't joined until now, but here I am! I'm a December baby, but I've wanted to get into trading for years. Didn't know about crypto unfortunately. I've spent (nearly) every day for the last 10 months in a chart, or trading article since I started. Still hungry to learn more. Glad to be here and excited to learn some new tricks of the trade.

I see you are a trader, I did a trading long time back and ended up unfortunate. But if you still have interest in trading/trading discussion then we have here a very dedicated forum board for it.

Profitable trading for you.
1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think mining is still fair on: September 11, 2018, 09:44:21 PM
In Q3 2018 market is still a blood bath. A lot of people that involved in crypto losing theirs hopes on a quick moon. ICO market is down. But difficulty of mining is growing up. We need more powerful processors, GPU and so on. Mining was created to give ordinary people get some free coins. Another hand big companies joint into monster to dig more digital gold. Simple person is out of this business. To support a node of ethereum you need more space every month and you get no reward. Do you think its fair enough or we need some new architecture to give mining a new life?

Just wondering , you started with a general question on mining and afterwards start diverting this topic to KRatos Network.  Increasing mining difficulty might be disappointing as an individual but it increase faith about security of the network, acting as good and bad at a same time.
1489  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Retire in Your 30s With $1 Million in the Bank on: September 11, 2018, 04:36:33 AM
Retiring early is a myth and stupidity.Somebody so successful in early life will try to achieve new goals and hieght. They are not going to sit idle after achieving current goals( this is the very first reason they become successful).
1490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why Ethereum will never hit zero according to Vitalik Buterin on: September 10, 2018, 08:40:28 PM
Vitalik himself was a former Bitcoin developer and he will always have some plan to pull out from that situation if it happens.  I do not see that ETH become zero and network having some value or vice versa. But if some better product created in future then both can be zero together.
1491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips How to Make Money with Bitcoin on: September 10, 2018, 08:23:52 PM
Bitcoin Lending  on BitBond
I have heard of all the other options for making money but this one. From the BitBond website it looks like you can lend bitcoin and earn money. Has anybody used this website? How does it work? Any success?
Why Bitbond or any third party site when you will be able to do escrowed lending in this forum only. Actually not against them but if something can be done here then I have more trust here than other third party site.
1492  Other / Meta / Re: This senseless cheating should stop on: September 10, 2018, 04:56:04 PM
Actually, this should be lesson for ICO investors to not too listen what people are saying Facebook, Twitter and telegram, because most of the profile are fake and paid/ unpaid shillings.
I do not expect anything from  most bounty managers here because they are getting paid for this fake traffic, in fact they will add in their resume that maintained bounty of more than 10000 users in telegram , Facebook and so on.
ICO companies are giving stakes of their own tokens, so it does not matter to them how many participants enrolled, more traffic look good to them also.
It is win win model for managers and ICO, where hunters are fake.
Only people that really losing in this model are ICO investors but are the investment claims are also real?

1495  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: September 09, 2018, 09:43:59 PM
Sorry lads, don't yell at me,I am back. And I got a question.

Question: What is BIP 174? (Its gonna be out for bitcoin 0.17.0 version)

BIP is Bitcoin Improvement Proposals and Proposal 174 is titled " Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction Format"  that proposes to have a binary transaction format that will have all the necessary information for a signer to produce signatures for the transaction and holds the signatures for an input while the input does not have a complete set of signatures. The signer can be offline as all necessary information will be provided in the transaction.

Signing transactions also requires users to have access to the UTXOs being spent. This transaction format will allow offline signers such as air-gapped wallets and hardware wallets to be able to sign transactions without needing direct access to the UTXO set and without risk of being defrauded.

Look like it is currently tough for me to put these technical documentation in somewhat simple words.

1496  Other / Meta / Re: Vote for new moderators who deserve it. @theymos please take a look. on: September 09, 2018, 06:00:29 PM
My vote for Jet cash for Beginners and Help Board as he is active there and  B and H is a beginning point of anybody. Leaving that section unchecked is only invitation to get the spam problem more worse.

I am noticing necro posting in B&H where newbies are replying on 6 month old posts without anything substantial to add.

For Moderators selection, I will say they need to be selected on their suitability to the particular section/sub section that need moderator  not by their overall popularity.
1497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [for merits] How will the introduction of Schnorr signatures affect Bitcoin? on: September 09, 2018, 05:49:33 PM
Transaction costs and times have always been a reason that tensed the users of Bitcoin. If Schnorr signature can free up the space in the network, causing faster transactions and less costs for transfers, then it would probably bring a very big change to the usage of Bitcoin. Its implementation would lead to a 25 to 30% boost to the network, according to its developers, and that would definitely change the face of transactions in compared to today's.

Your understanding is differing from my understanding, I do not think bitcoin have network issues , it is always block capacity issue (in short storage space issue.). Schnorr Signature will not make transaction faster as they are govern by block mining speed only (unless you counter that it will accommodate more transaction in block so it is faster but ultimately it is saving space only.)

The real benefit I guess is saving the transaction fees because we are paying transaction fees on the basis of bytes consumed by transaction.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is Going to $50 based on what I Observed! on: September 09, 2018, 04:29:20 PM
Too much speculation here. Invest that much only that you can afford to lose. I am reading that ethereum mining also not profitable now. It will interesting to put in watchlist to see whether it will bounce back or further dive down.
1499  Other / Meta / User Creating Multiple thread, When all can be said in one thread. on: September 09, 2018, 04:03:04 PM
I found the harjiy creating multiple thread about ApolloX   .

Go through the  last topics   started by this user , all for ApolloX   putting some information and proceeds on creating another thread. Look like probable case of signature spamming .

Can we demand the ban of profile?
1500  Other / Meta / Re: Agate Chain referral question on: September 09, 2018, 03:42:17 PM
If you are short of signup the I suggest you better to post in services sections and do some kind of payment that will be mutually satisfying for both parties.
Give your referral link in the PM then if somebody agrees to signup with your referral link.

PS: I saw earlier this kind of services thread so I guess this might be ok method for sharing referral link (in PM not in open). But not sure what exactly forum take on these thread as per rule.
