1481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 12, 2020, 10:23:04 AM
Hey folks,

I decided to quit smoking today and buy Bitcoin every Sunday. A pack of cigarettes I smoke is 8€. It cost me 56€ per week. So every Sunday, I will buy Bitcoin without checking if the price went up or down. Even if it goes to the moon, I will keep buying. I will edit this post frequently in the future. This Sunday I will start investing 56€ in Bitcoin every  Sunday. I will keep this doing as long as possible and let's see what is going to happen.

I believe that at least I will invest in something that I believe, instead of wasting money on unhealthy cigarettes. Maybe some of you can do the same.

Wish me luck Cool
That is the best thing to do mate rather than wasting your money on unhealthy products specifically cigarettes. With the money you have invested in Bitcoin you can even buy things that are better than cigarettes. Through investing in Bitcoin can improve your wealth. Gladly that you shared your experience here so that everyone must be inspired and do the same as you did. I know that it is a tough decision for you to make yet you did because all the smokers I've ever known having a hard time leaving these bad habits.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to call the people into crypto on: December 11, 2020, 11:00:05 AM
You can call people into the crypto world but you have to warn them first. Because the crypto world is full of scammers. I have seen more scam DeFi projects than successful DeFi projects. So I don’t think people should be called to crypto just for DeFi hype. Crypto will bring a financial revolution in the future world. So everyone should know about crypto.
Yeah, I think there's nothing wrong with introducing your peers in crypto but make sure to guide them well. I don't recommend them to invest in DeFi projects though because first of all, they have no single idea about crypto so better if you will tell them to invest in less risky coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum. DeFi can provide good rewards but bear in mind that it is still risky knowing that there scam DeFi projects are everywhere. Besides, don't conclude yet, there are several DeFi that was undeniably good to invest with but the fact it was just on hyped doesn't make it certain.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 best coin or token? on: December 11, 2020, 10:25:05 AM
I know bitcoin is best in crypto word then i like eth.
I want to trade. So need top 5 coin or token for regularly trade.
I hope you suggest me best coin or token.
I think the best crypto would depend on your trading style. Like if you are onto long-term trading then Bitcoin could be the best among them all and if you are onto short-term trade then coins that have high volatility would be perfectly fit on that. In my case, I only trade 2-3 coins and I'm not getting more because the more coin you trade the more analysis you will make, those coins are specifically Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB. IMO, you don't need a lot of coins to trade just choose and focus on them.

I don't always think that the top 5 best coins for regularly trade, because I like to see coins taking turns experiencing a positive uptrend alternately even less popular coins can potentially experience fantastic price increases, always use good analysis of coins which we will trade.
Well, that can be profitable indeed and will certainly give promising rewards however, bear in mind that the less popular the coin is the more risk you will take because there's a chance for it to be a scam.
1484  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC technicals are against ATH. Liquidate on: December 11, 2020, 06:47:51 AM
BTC technicals are against $20,000. I don't think holding now is a good idea.
Maybe a good idea is to move the money from BTC to altcoins.

If BTC breaks $21,000 confirming a breakout, media will write about BTC and move retail investors will flow in. Then get in.
I think for now, the best idea is to liquidate BTC. And move to alts.

What's your take and why?

Happy to discuss!
Yeah, I've been thinking to liquidate a fraction of my holdings right now. It seems the resistance was too strong which is why Bitcoin couldn't any go up longer above $19k. Currently, the price is hovering around $18k -$17k which I wasn't so sure if the run is over or not, the thing is not to be greedy and go get real here. However, if I am going to liquidate my Bitcoins I wouldn't do it in some random altcoins but rather in something more stable like USDT to preserve the value of it. By then if there's a forecast that it will surge again I can buy it back again.
1485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHO CAN SHUTDOWN BITCOIN? on: December 11, 2020, 04:51:41 AM
Okay guys, this question may have been asked before, was trying to locate a past thread but couldn't seems to get my search on this forum.

My question is: can bitcoin be shutdown by world government? And does bitcoin need bitcoin.org domain when calling its protocol or trying to get access to its network? Or what is the relationship between bitcoin.org and the survival of I bitcoin? Thanks

Hello , don't start abuses, I am currently defending that bitcoin can't be shutdown, while a discussant said it can be shutdown. I know  it' can't be. Just dropped this post here to backup my claim and argument. I know it requires shutting down all power and internet to be able to cause a damage. Which in any which is not possible.
First of all, there's no world government exist. Now getting back to the topic, I don't think Bitcoin can be shut down by anyone or by any organizations but they can ban this one like what other countries are doing. However, even though they imposed a prohibition regard this one everyone seems to find a way to access it leaving a conclusion that Bitcoin cannot be shut down nor take control by anyone. Remember bitcoin is decentralized so if there's a chance they could able to shut it down then they already probably did but rather they go with it.

1488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 09, 2020, 02:07:49 PM
The current crypto market is exciting as everyone is happy that new funds are being pumped into the space, investors are making profits and people are aiming for new ATH for bigger profits. I  remind us all not to forget to take profits, cut your greed and find new opportunities. Never be emotional about any project, buy when it's right, sell when it's right.

To be honest it is easier to be said than to be done. But still, you gotta try to control it otherwise you will put only your profit at risk. If you saw an opportunity to sell or to buy, don't hesitate to do it. If you think your earned profit is enough then you should liquidate it. You should learn how to make your target price to sell or to buy don't be greedy and wait for more because we don't know how the market will behave. You might not escape the loss but you can mitigate it so don't be afraid to lose because you can even learn from it.
1489  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to trade with Bitcoin approaching $20K? on: December 09, 2020, 12:17:32 PM
Hi,

I'm new to trading and trying to find the best way to trade when Bitcoin is testing it's ATH. I have noticed that it reached $19,300 last week before dropping below $17,000 then built back up to over $19,800 yesterday before dropping then again reaching $19,900 today before dropping again. Does that mean that the sell orders at those levels have now been spent and Bitcoin may find an easier path to break through? How many times could we expect this pattern to repeat before a break through?

Are we expecting similar patterns to repeat over the next week? If so, is it worth transferring a portion of BTC into USDT or similar each time BTC reaches around $19,800 and then transferring it back if or when it seems to have bottomed out?

Maybe it would be more sensible for me to stop trying to be clever and just HODL my way through but either way, I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

I think if you are a real newbie on trading you should try to learn the foundation of trading first, Hodling isn't a bad idea and more suitable for the one who is learning and at the same time has the potential to gain some profit. It's just better to hodl than to trade without proper knowledge about it and to be liquidated at the end. I myself am just trading a small portion of my bitcoin to the market because I'm not really sure if it the 19k barrier will be broken.
Yeah, the resistance was too strong. Honestly, I already liquidate a small fraction of my holdings because I don't really know that to do right now, Bitcoin is just moving back and forth, which makes it difficult to read the market. Anyway, I have already been getting enough profit right since I buy at a cheap price way back then and I can actually liquidate now, however, I believe that the run was not over yet, perhaps by the end of this month we can make a breakthrough.
1490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 17000$ today on: December 09, 2020, 11:16:19 AM
Bitcoin price always changable no one can predicted it correctl.Today i chack the bitcoin price so what's happen end of this year? Please share your experience
Currently, it goes back around $18k USD. The resistance was strong that is why it didn't even reach the $20k USD mark. However, I don't think that the run was over so there is still a possibility that it might reach $20k USD by the end of December. Actually, we all have no clue what will be the next move and some are afraid that history might repeat itself as we had in 2017, so they are trying to liquidate as much as possible. And that could be the reason why the resistance is getting stronger.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: December 09, 2020, 04:05:45 AM
It seems possible for some cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency but I don't think Bitcoin would be perfectly fit on that, perhaps a crypto coin that is more stable is much appropriate for that part. Bitcoin is volatile and there's a possibility that it confuses the normal users because of prices changes over time. This could be comparable to using gold as a means of payment but it would be difficult for most people to go back in that way due to fact that they are more comfortable and accustomed with fiat. Besides, I don't think the government will allow this as their mainstream mode of payment.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess bounty hunters really kill projects on: December 08, 2020, 12:24:39 PM
There's no doubt that the dump must have been caused by bounty hunters because a whole lot of the tokens was distributed to hunters and since the bounty ran for four rounds, some persons would get so much more tokens and them dumping would affect the value of the token. In my opinion, the developers should be able to forsee and strategically distribute the tokens to reduce the impact of dumping.
dont be wrong, bounty allocation only less than 2 percents from total token even some of bounty campaign using fix token payment each weeks.if bounty hunter sell their reward it doesnt mean they dumped their token , dumped only happen if major token holders sell their token that caused by many reason. for example dev team didnt bring their project to reputable exchanges , and deliver useless product.
You have a point bounty is not to blame here but rather those developers. I don't think a small fraction of that allocated tokens to bounty hunters would drastically dump the price of the value of a certain token.
The one who should be blamed here is more likely the developers because they failed to maintain their projects. Besides, listing it on non-reputable exchanges could also a big factor knowing the fact that those platforms has low trading volume.
1493  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies + Bounty = Zero future on: December 08, 2020, 11:11:23 AM
95% newbies of this forum is active on bounty threads.  They do not want to enter any other discussion thread.  Not many newbies even know that there are such discussion threads in this forum.  They have no interest in knowing anything about Bitcoin.  I don't understand why they do that. So do they lack knowledge about this forum?  How can they be made aware?  In my opinion every newbie should try to gain knowledge about bitcoin from Active in different discussion threads.  If they do, they will be in a better position in the future.  I know that the seniors of this forum are trying in various ways to make the newbies aware of this.  The reason was that they always realized that "today's child is the father of the future."
I will conclude that those newbies have only come after for a profit. They don't even care about other things on this forum that is why they have lack knowledge about Bitcoin and others section, which is kinda sad. Forum is supposed to be a platform where you can share your knowledge and learn as well while getting a profit is just a bonus. Bounties can be profitable however, only several of them can provide a good service, while others are completely fraud or making an exit scam. So basically, there's a vague future ahead of it.
1494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin may increase normally but not as much as 400K on: December 08, 2020, 09:55:33 AM
It gonna be possible that the market will remain in a normal trend, with a little chance that it goes high over $20k even we saw a huge market demand and scarcity. Coz I think that this price is much preferred for all level of people. I can't imagine if people are still wanted to buy Bitcoin if the price goes to $50k, $100k, people may not be risking this then get back to use fiat money instead. Ohh, I'm not doing this as well.
Worth $100k USD was indeed expensive, and this will give some thought to buyers if they will go for it or not the fact that it holds a high amount of risk. However, if Bitcoin goes more beyond that price then that would be a total win. Anyway, I think $400k was too high and I don't think we could reach it now due to the fact that there's a big portion of the world doesn't know or acknowledge Bitcoin. Perhaps it would take a decade before we saw it happen and through massive adoption, we can make it true.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Online Casinos on: December 08, 2020, 08:05:02 AM
Most people really want to gamble gambling, but we also know cryptocurency gambling is very interesting and unique. The main thing is fair play makes us even more addicted we can't avoid it anymore

That's correct mate, a lot of newcomers in crypto gambling sites became addicted to the games where the majority of them their ending is not good. In short, they've left nothing because most of their assets melted or lost in the games that's the reality most of the time happened in the gambling industry in cryptocurrency.
There’s a lot of gamblers that didn’t care that much with regards to their emotional attachment to gambling and they think its fine to continue gambling without realizing that they are slowly falling into a big gambling addiction. I’m not familiar with the Tricedice site and I don’t mind that much with the free token especially if its just a new gambling site, the risk is always on the new site so every gamblers must also know this one and gamble with care.
And that is the sad truth. Some gamblers are having a hard time controlling their emotions like for example, even if they lose a huge amount of money they will try and try to chase the money that they have lost which is totally wrong. As a gambler, you should know when to make an exit. In regards to gambling casinos better if you will choose those reputable and old ones because usually, the risk is always on the new one, you don't even know if they are provably fair or not unlike for the old ones they are already been tested and you could read few feedbacks before you use them.
1496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some twist in take for BTC what's next? on: December 08, 2020, 07:27:09 AM
I have been watching the price of BTC from couple days after it broke the 15k barrier and I thought the next thing would be 22k, as days are passing somehow it's slowly pumping up and it was ready to break ATH unfortunately it failed and again it crossed 19k and went down. Is their a dump in upcoming days or pump? I am just curious to know about the next price of BTC, share your thoughts Cool
Simply because the resistance is strong. As soon as the price went up to $19 USD and more or less reached the last ATH, people tend to liquidate their holdings, perhaps in the fear that it would repeat as we had in 2017.
Right now it is playing around $19k USD with no signs of pump or dump so we really had no idea what will be the next move. But I don't think the run is over it might only be getting started. For certainty, you could somehow liquidate a fraction of your holdings by that then you could mitigate the risk of getting a loss.
1497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has held bitcoin for more than 5 years? on: December 08, 2020, 06:57:19 AM
Hey Guys,
Just curious to see who has held bitcoin on this forum for more than 5 years?
And also, if you've sold it, when did you got in and when did you sold out?

Cheers!

My first engagement with Bitcoin is way back in 2016 where the price is only about $600-$700 and unfortunately, I wasn't able to hold for a long time due to the reason of no one exactly knows that Bitcoin will grow this much and also because I have financial crisis back then so I had no choice. Only if I have known that Bitcoin will be this much, perhaps I just hold it in my wallet and I am pretty sure that most of us are thinking the same way. However, it's never been too late you and I can now accumulate Bitcoin and Hold as much as you can, at least we are now certain that Bitcoin has the potential to grow even more as mass adoption occur.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: December 07, 2020, 01:41:02 PM
When I met cryptocurrencies in 2017, we would constantly follow ICOs and act accordingly. I think the ICO era is over now.

maybe the Era of ICO is now over, but over doesn't mean dead my friend
because i see a lot of project still do their crowdfunding use ICO methode buddy, maybe the hype is over but ICO still alive until now
Yeah, you've got a point. ICOs is not completely dead yet because there are still some projects that have been using that method, unfortunately, the hype is now over and because investors lost interest in it. Even the IEOs are now getting phase-out and also for the same reason because of scammers ruining it. Why would you waste your time finding a good ICOs today if DeFi is the trend. There's a lot DeFi projects are running right now so why not go for them, it would have been more guaranteed though.
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you trading on ?? on: December 07, 2020, 01:03:32 PM
Hi , where do you trading on ? Is it easy to trade there? Whyare you using that ? Any suggestion , how to choose a good platform for trading ... [i need new platforms , not binance, bittrex ... i need to know is there any other platform like that]

Since you exclude Binance which is practically I've been using and nothing else then perhaps I will only provide how I am choosing a platform where to exchange. Usually, I choose the exchanges who provides the top quality of security, if it is reputable, and the volume because you can already tell if the exchanges are good if it has a high volume. And based on what I have searched in CMC they provided a list of top exchanges, of course, Binance got the top spot and under it, Huobi got the 2nd spot so I would recommend it. Besides, I hear a lot of positive feedback towards Kraken and Coinbase Pro so you could also check them out.
1500  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is best wallet for using and store the bitcoin? on: December 07, 2020, 11:31:34 AM
I,m New in Crypto marketplace i have some difficullties that how to stores and save the Bitcoin. probably mostly wallet people using to store the bitcoin without any losing money. Anyone suggest me which wallet we can use to store the amount. so many crypto wallet are coming new everyday but which is best for me that don,t  anything losing money .
If you have some funds on you then I will recommend using a hardware wallet, the fact that hardware wallets such as ledger, Trezor, and more is more secured compared to software wallets. However, the software can be goods as wells like it provides more convenience in making transactions because it can be executable in mobile phones which is kinda handy. Personally, I've been using a lot of wallets actually like Coinbase, Trustwallet, Electrum for desktop, and our local Bitcoin storage. You can use a wallet that will suit your taste but make sure that it is a safe and reputable one.
