902  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Government in Crypto on: August 27, 2021, 05:33:34 PM
the role of goverment in crypto = 0 absolute zero !! this is all about p2p , this is all about freedom ! This is our currencies .
Well, even if you're right, the government will have to force in themselves into the community because they also want a piece of the crypto pie meaning that even if we don't want them, we're still going to see them here no matter what but we are the people and we have power over them, we just have to unite which is the hard part.
903  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is not limited till buying Bitcoins, it is beyond this. on: August 26, 2021, 07:10:07 PM
Of course cryptocurrency doesn't mean only Bitcoin. There are tens of thousands of coins in the market. Only thing you gotta do is to do a detailed research about some projects and decide which one to invest into. But when it comes to missing the train for Bitcoin, I don't think that anyone missed any train. Yeah, you might have missed the dip level to buy before. But you can still buy BTC and start to HODL. You can still make profit in the long run.
Exactly, and also why get triggered about this OP, of course the newbies will think that it's bitcoin when they talk about cryptocurrencies, it's because of generalization and bitcoin is the first so bitcoin gets the honor of being the one that comes on someone's mind when they're talking about cryptocurrencies.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 26, 2021, 06:17:24 PM
The reason is that I hold Bitcoin in the long term, because its volatility provides the possibility of achieving huge profits in the future, in addition to its decentralization feature and the speed of transactions resulting from it. But we must also realize that there are risks involved in holding Bitcoin, so everyone should educate himself and study the market well before investing
Volatility could go either way remember, it might go up in the future but it can also go the other way which is the worst thing that can ever happen to bitcoin market and it's investors but given the popularity of bitcoin right now and the continuous investment of big companies, I think that we are going towards a much better future in terms of the prices. For me, the only reason for hodling bitcoin is the appreciation of the asset overtime which most investment does.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish? Bankers Issue ‘Seismic’ Warning: crypto could replace USD in 5 years on: August 25, 2021, 02:35:22 PM

"The foundation of banking has been fundamentally outlived and financial services industry players must redefine themselves and find innovative ways to create economic growth in the future of money," Pawczuk, who heads up Deloitte's global blockchain and digital assets practice, said in a statement alongside the report.
This is a bold statement but at the same time is a wake up call to the traditional financial institutions to start doing something with their lives and try to make things different in order for this warning to not ever happen. I do think it's bullish but given how crypto community hates the government shilling for them to some degree because they know that there's some sort of condition for that shill, I think that it's not going to that big of a deal.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy comunism (III) rats eating dead people and people eating rats in NK on: August 23, 2021, 06:21:37 PM
~
I have to say I was quite ignorant about North Korea before this topic, I have to admit to that. I thought that NK was a big dictatorship that was fascist in every possible way, sort of like Hitler and Nazi Germany, that is what I believed what was going on there. Turns out, they claim that they are a socialist nation! What an interesting view.

Now, I wonder if people here believe that this was communism failing? I mean is there any human on this topic that believes the fact that there is a fat guy at the top doing everything he wants, eating, dancing, having sex, limitless power, with some less powerful but still quite powerful generals, with death squads, with everything else that is wrong with that nation and people starving under the regime, is... communism? I mean do you know what communism is? Commune, community, communism? I still dislike communism, that is for sure (still a leftist though) but I am pretty sure any person who has ever known what a real communism is would probably know that this is a fascist dictatorship, you are aware of that right?
It's alright as long as you learn something new, it's all good, that's what life is, you start an ignorant and with the help of the information we will be able to change our minds or not but at least now we are aware. Fascism is what's happening to most countries now although they like to call it democracy when in fact the voters don't really have a say on where the country goes next. What NK is suffering is communism, fascism is when the government becomes a corporation.
907  Economy / Economics / Re: How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market? on: August 23, 2021, 05:35:35 PM
The team members also if possible have identification and they have some way to be reached out to like emails or a LinkedIn profile, most anonymous projects ends up being a rug pull that dupes investors. In terms of investment, they shouldn't ask too big for their investors in my opinion because if it's a legitimate project, they can start small and slowly build up while the funding also goes up.
This is right, teams should have faces because in an anonymous space, you don't want to trust your money on people that doesn't have any faces, you won't be getting anything out of them especially if they started running away from the project. I have seen this kind of projects and they almost always end up in a scam.

So far what I've learned, it's very difficult to find a really quality project. but there is 1 thing I think about, is where the project is advertised. because the place to market the product is very important, not only on bitcointalk but more on crypto related websites such as ico rating or coinmarketcap and others. the reason is if a developer dares to put an ad on the site is that they really want to make a big project and have the capital to start a project.
It's just a part of it in my opinion, being advertised doesn't mean it's a quality project. Remember thatscam projects can be advertised too so you better understand and evaluate what you're saying because it might lead you to the wrong path.
908  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the biggest investment opportunity in the future on: August 22, 2021, 04:02:39 PM
It's still is the biggest investment opportunity in the present, I don't know what you're talking about but I think that it's going to be that way until the last coin is mined. Unless of course, bitcoin becomes too expensive even to buy even a fraction of it to the point that no one is getting in the market and everyone is just hodling hoping that they can squeeze out the prices to go up much higher.
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Nothing about communism: The real cause of hyperinflation in Venezuela on: August 21, 2021, 07:06:22 PM
It's a combination of socialism and corruption of their government and over reliance to oil that has caused this hyperinflation that they have been experiencing now and if the leaders of this country invested on infrastructures like hospitals, schools and other public infrastructure then we would've seen something different, they got too complacent that they didn't expect oil to go down in prices.
I think from what I've read, it's more of an oil thing and it's more on the side of the successor of the late president in which the corruption just got more bigger I think. I think what they failed to do is that they didn't have the right people in their cabinets to deal with different situations.
910  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy comunism (III) rats eating dead people and people eating rats in NK on: August 21, 2021, 06:34:37 PM
Pardon my ignorance but I really have to ask, is this happening in this 21st century or it is the lifestyle of before in NK? I can seem to wrap my head around people not having access to the basic human stuff! How in the world I'd the people over there able to survive on a daily basis! I really can't imagine a life much harder than what this people are going through if this is what is happening, anyone able to flee from such life should be very thankful. Cry
Yes it's still happening, we just don't see it and it's not documented since people are known to get jailed if they bring or smuggle footages on their cameras, the soldiers of the regimes checks everyone because they don't want anything getting out but they're sometimes unsuccessful so we see a glimpse of the atrocities in this rogue country. They eat anything and the government still provides but not enough.
Of course that's how it is, communism is just an illusion so the real tyrants can trick the population into believing that they're going to deliver them the paradise that they're asking for when it's really hell that they give to this people, look at Cuba, they're not prospering, they don't even have the Internet because Castro wanted communism. Remember when China destroyed their ancient artifacts as a sign of movement towards a better country, now they're chasing it and they only have fakes in mainland, all the originals are in Taiwan. Communism works in theory and in the mouth of a sweet talker and good public speaker but it won't ever work in practice because only the poor is going to suffer.
Totally agree with this one, communism is like utopia in a sense that they don't exist in real life, they're only ideas meant to drive people to do things to drive themselves towards it trying to achieve it when in reality it's not even going to happen no matter how hard they try, man will always be corrupted when they handle power.
911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 18, 2021, 06:01:04 PM
In my opinion, it's not the greates safe haven but it's a decent one. The volatility is what scares me the most to go all in with my investments in bitcoin, which is bad I know but at the same time I want to play it safe, bitcoin's here to saty so no worries. Some might say it's a safe haven but for me, it's just not for me.
912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Satoshi Nakamoto Hypothesis on: August 16, 2021, 06:27:33 PM
Bro your prediction could be god damn right. The days so much similar and the posibility of the coincidence is so hard. Those guys could really know the satoshi so what? How it can affect us and our investments?
But it could all just be coincidence, I mean I registered about 4 days after some random user but that doesn't mean that I am them unless I am an alt. But despite all that, I think we can never be sure because the only way for us to confirm our own set of theories is if we were to ask Wulle himself, and it's also another factor, will he lie or tell the truth or evade the question?
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: August 16, 2021, 05:52:40 PM
One thing to always remember is that the higher the price of a thing, the more popular it is. Once the price of Bitcoin was much lower then its popularity was also much lower. But as the days go by, it is seen that bitcoin As the popularity grows, so does the price. So I would say that the more popular the thing, the higher the price of that thing.
That's the reason why they always do advertising although the products advertised doesn't necessarily go up in prices, it makes them stay on the market and have the company selling them become more valuable since they're much more recognizable by the public. Basic laws of supply and demand should be enough to understand why some stuff go up and down.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor Says Bitcoin is Hope For Canada on: August 15, 2021, 03:47:04 PM
I slightly dislike(I know, I can be petty) those Twitter people who seems to think that Bitcoin is the answer to literally whatever news-trending problem there is. But "wasted" renewable energy is one good use-case of Bitcoin mining. They contribute to the network, and at the same time they get value in exchange for the supposedly wasted energy. Win-win!
They're trying to hype bitcoin, it's the fault of those ultra fanatics.of bitcoin that exaggerated it's uses and it's purpose to the point that it become the truth/norm for the many. And those Twitter people are all shills, they have somethinng to gain when the price goes up so they use the platform of Twitter to shill for bitcoin.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is more real than money in the Bank on: August 14, 2021, 04:35:11 PM
Bitcoin is more real than Fiat is a fact in my opinion because fiat is very easy to manipulate and has unstable prices even the price of basic ingredients from fiat is not comparable to the value of the currency
Fiat in my opinion is nothing more than a piece of paper that is given a value by the government
Really where do you stand? Fact or opinion because it can't be both you know. For me though, I think there's a tie to this two, yes money isn't real if it's in the bank but there's proof and there's trust and assurance that there's money in the bank. Bitcoin on the other hand is a bunch of bundled up data mined and people just find that there's valuue in this and other people believed it and so the demand for it goes up and the rest is history.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first bitcoin shopping on: August 12, 2021, 04:53:56 PM
Yes, nice story. I liked it as well as OgNasty's post to celebrate its anniversary. The only thing I would say to the OP, is that I wouldn't make a habit of spending a lot of Bitcoin. Better to save it, the time will come to spend Bitcoin in the future. You may regret spending much Bitcoin in the future, think about the guy who spent 10,000 Bitcoin to buy pizzas.
That's his/her call on how to spend bitcoin, I know that you're looking out for OP but OP is an adult and I think that OP knows the consequences of that decision of spending the bitcoin plus if you are happy with what you've spend your bitcoin with, you don't have to wallow or regret it right. And given how OP is in this forum, I am sure that OP knows how to manage his/her bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in his/her wallet.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy Bitcoin? on: August 11, 2021, 02:57:29 PM
Of course you can buy in small denominations, if bitcoin didn't do so, there's not a lot of people that will be using bitcoin right now if they can't even buy a fraction of bitcoin. There are a lot of apps that you can buy from, Binance could be a choice for you, Coinbase is a popular one. Look for tutorials to buy bitcoin so you don't make a mistake when you actually buy it.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hoard Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2021, 03:25:53 PM
The answer for me is simple, you don't want to be missing out big time when the prices are going up and you don't have a lot of bitcoin in your possession. Also, hoarding is a bit of a wrong description, you don't consider bitcoin less than 1 as a lot of bitcoin, that's a fraction of it so I prefer the term holding or hodling much more since it applies to more people.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey! Let me pick up a rock and let's buy it from each other... on: August 09, 2021, 01:45:40 PM
Uhh, OP learned how barter and fiat money works? That's cute, at least people now knows about the basics of how we put value on something base on trust. My point is that OP, you are saying that bitcoin was valued on how we deem it's value is but you forgot the fact that that's how almost anything precious has been traded a long time ago.
