981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading strategies on: April 26, 2021, 02:34:46 PM
First am not a pro trader, but my trading techniques have proven fundamentals. I recycled around Bitcoin and some handful of good altcoins; I trade with a hand full of funds since altcoins and the bitcoin market move in the opposite direction; I fill my bags with altcoins when the alt markets are down against Bitcoin and sell them when the market is on the rise to buy bitcoin which will be on a downtrend at that moment.

This technique has worked for me over the years.

How on the Green Earth that worked man?

The scenario in 2020-2021 has changed completely mate. The correlation that you are saying no longer works. All the altcoins do follow the same pump as bitcoin do. I mean there is no inverse proportion now a days. If bitcoin is pumping then altcoins are also pumping at the same time.

Moreover there are many many altcoins who don't even rely on the bitcoin movement since they have created their own economic environment and they play within that boundary only.

It could be just your good luck or time when things turned profitable for you. But, you must recheck your strategies beforehand now.
Bitcoin and altcoins are heavily correlated, we all know that but they do not move at exactly the same speed and we can clearly see this is the case, at the beginning of this bull run most of the growth was concentrated on bitcoin and that is why its dominance was going up almost everyday.

Now we are seeing the opposite with altcoins growing faster than bitcoin and taking away some of the dominance of bitcoin, so even if both altcoins and bitcoin move on roughly the same direction the rate at which they do is different and that can be enough to produce profits with the right strategy.
Well, I'd say you do have a point. Though Bitcoin and altcoins are correlated with each other like if Bitcoin pump altcoins will do as well and that would be the same if it dumps but not all the time and not on the same phase. I mean, Bitcoin and altcoin are not moving in the same phase it is more like altcoins kinda late or something. Within those time gaps, that would be the perfect time to do that strategy what OP had been doing, that will be the time to make a trade and generate profit.
982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin go below $40,000 on: April 26, 2021, 01:04:55 PM
Looks like we are again going for a dive, look at the price now.

Today, the price is below $50,000 and it's dropping big time, my question, with this movement, will we see a bitcoin price below $40,000?

Well, we cannot deny that it is possible since Bitcoin is somehow unpredictable after all. However, looking up to the current price it now rises up on $53k, though I am not sure this will continue, I guess the market is now slowly recovering after a deep correction. Now I felt bad for those people who have weak hands and sell their holding believing that this bull cycle is now over. Anyway, even if it showing a good bounce-back we shouldn't be overweening because we still don't know what's gonna happen.
983  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to Enslave U & Track U on: April 26, 2021, 12:05:32 PM
A month ago $1k in DOGE would be $50k today, $1k in BTC would be $800 today; If they're only here for money, how long do you think the 99% will stay??
Who cares if they leave? What a biased comparison. Why not starts from 9 years ago? $1 Bitcoin will be worth more than $40k this day. Do you think those meme coins will survive the next bear market? This situation is exactly like the previous ICO boom. When they start to fall, it will be an amazing sight to see.

Indeed. I've also thought that this hype on DOGE was somehow like an ICO before more like FUD and FOMO, have no strong support and created only by hype, there's a possibility that it wouldn't survive when the bear market comes. BTC however, had made to pass it all, several bear cycles had been through yet it remains the number one. It is not that I am biased on Bitcoin but this is what I have observed over the past years I have been in this industry. Besides, those two can't be compared and we already knew that.
984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Fee on: April 26, 2021, 11:14:47 AM
I believe the recent surge in the transaction fees of bitcoin is as a result of the miner's strike in China.  This caused the transaction fees to increase tremendously.
However, just like many people already mentioned, the miner's have resumed and everything would return to normal.
I'm sure you're beginning to wonder if at this rate of high transaction fees, bitcoin would remain the number one currency for transactions. Well, you should know that this has been rectified and bitcoin would always remain the number one currency in the world.

There's no doubt it was the main reason why Bitcoin transaction fees soar high. I just recently check if everything goes back to normal back it seems not, yes much lower compared before but for me, it was still too high.
If it was really true that everything goes back to normal and the mining was now resumed, I assume that it would take a more couple of days before the fees go back to normal because right now it is still expensive. Perhaps I will just hold it for a moment until it became low.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: April 25, 2021, 02:59:12 PM

The sad thing is that their parents are perpetuating their own mistakes on their children, even if it is a bit hypocrite they should tell their kids to do as they say and not as they do, they should try to get them out of gambling but those parents that are addicted to gambling probably do not care anymore about what the kid does or does not do, and in some cases they could even encourage that behaviour as the kids end up bringing money with them and more than anything that is what those that are addicted to gambling want.
Some case here in our country that parents who gamble was open to let their children watch them while they were playing. My mother was a card player too, she used to play cards everynoon time as a way to spend her time and I am here watching her playing, analyzing what the rules of the game was and how to play the cards. At early age of mine as I could remember I was 10-11 years old I already knew how to play cards, but what the good thing was my mother didn't really encourage me to reall engaged myself in gambling. Even though she was a card player she've been able to control herself and stop gambling, but what she didn't know that I have already learned how to gamble and now I am not really a gambler but some sort of enjoying gambling.

Well, that is a sad truth and it seems we have the same experience. However in my case though, my parents are not that much into gambling they only play when there's an occasion or something, and through their play, I was able to learn from it. At a very young age, I managed to play gambling with a small bet on it (my parent didn't encourage me gamble I just test it out on my own), for me it was fun and really interesting but just like my parent I only play when there's an occasion, perhaps I learned it from them. What I am glad about is that even though I was exposed to gambling at a very young age I was not able to fall into addiction, I just play gambling for purely fun not without the intent of winning, and if win that would be just a bonus.
986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do the same scenario in 2018 ? on: April 25, 2021, 12:44:33 PM
i am wondering if Bitcoin will fall again like it happened in 2018 after the Bull run !
even in this time the price raised too much faster in shorter time.
last two days Bitcoin price felt 10000 $
i know that some news affect the market, but should we sell now in this panic ! or should we hold  Undecided
i am a little bit confused

I'd say that there's a possibility but I hope this would not cause you to panic because it would be not helpful at all, just think about what you wanna really do like if you think Bitcoin will continue to slide down then it is better to save up some money to buy at the bottom or if you think this is just temporarily dip then hold till it goes back up. From what I believe, we are still in a bull cycle that is why I am still holding it right now, I only think of this dip as a normal correction. The thing is just make up your mind and don't be confused, it is not like you are going to lose all the opportunity.
987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will drop to 20k is not time to buy btc now on: April 25, 2021, 12:08:52 PM
Buying BTC now is extremly risky. This is a bubble what we see now.  Soon the prices will drop to 20k then buy BTC.
But now is not the time at the end of the bull run.

Soon we'll reach good point to buy at 20k btc this good price.
now is high price i wouldn't put 60k on btc.
but is good time to buy altcoins that can make you x2-5x

Well, I won't deny it because everything is possible in this crypto market, however, we are still in the bull cycle, perhaps if Bitcoin will continue to dip it could go all the way down to $40k then it will bounce back passing its current ATH. We could only see bitcoin at the $20k price mark is when we are already in the bear trend. Hence, I don't see any problem buying now though but it is still better if you will make an analysis of your own. Regarding buying altcoins if Bitcoin does really go deep down, most altcoins will follow so I don't think you will be able to make 2x-5x on the one.
988  Economy / Economics / Re: EFFECTIVE INVESTING STRATEGIES on: April 25, 2021, 11:25:36 AM
Only we ourselves are able to find an effective investment strategy for ourselves, because we cannot imitate other people's strategies to succeed.
Because everyone must have their own strategies, therefore do research and analysis before deciding on an investment. After finding a suitable
project to buy, we just determine an effective strategy, so that the profit generated can be maximized. It requires a long process until we find
the right strategy, not success in investment that is achieved instantly. So be patient if we experience failure, as long as we don't give up,
then hope is always there.

You have a point. Every one of us has our own effective investment strategies because if you will just copy from others there's a possibility that it might not work on your playstyle. You gotta work on your own strategy, it may be failed at first but you will be able to calibrate what is perfect for you and that can be called a trial and error process. Like in my case, I prefer to make some research first and plan what to do before taking up an investment. Just being knowledgeable and have enough experience is primarily need to survive in this industry.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 25, 2021, 10:49:41 AM
Do they come from the Dogecoin supporters?

I remember way back when BTC and Dogecoin supporters were friends, it's not happening anymore I guess. Now Dogecoin supporters hope to take over BTC Cheesy It's not gonna happen.

Too bad this meme coin has been destroyed like that giving it nothing more than a pump and dump status. Thank you Elon!  Roll Eyes

I don't think Dogecoin supporters have anything to do with negative posts about Bitcoin. I am more thinking it is the Bitcoin supporters themselves especially those people who have a weak hand. The fact that Bitcoin undergoes a deep correction leading for them to spread FUD and FOMO across the market, thinking that the bull run was over. Little did they know that it was just a normal occurrence, after reaching an ATH expect that there will be a correction. Anyway, let those who have weak hands panic because there's a lot of people who are ready to catch what they have sold.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust centralized exchanges? on: April 24, 2021, 02:52:16 PM
I think you heard the last news about the Turkish stock exchange:
https://decrypt.co/68703/billion-dollar-rug-pull-turkish-bitcoin-exchange-goes-dark
Customers fear a rug pull as Turkish crypto exchange Thodex abruptly halted trading.
At any time, money can be blocked for an unknown time.
Recently, I have not been trading on centralized exchanges and have kept as much money there as it’s not a pity to lose

Not familiar with that exchange though. Anyway, I do trust a few centralized exchanges yes especially Binance. Besides not gonna lie CEX does have a higher volume compared to DEX that is why for me it is better to use CEX for now. I am aware that they somehow have control over my account because it can possibly lock or something but I could avoid it by not leaving my coins in there. Upon using centralized exchanges it is highly recommended to not leave your coin inside the platform and if you will make sure it doesn't that much so that even if something bad happens the damage to your funds wouldn't be that much.
991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OH YEAH FRUSTATED TRADERS. on: April 24, 2021, 02:11:07 PM
FOMO is one of the big enemy that needs to be conquered if you want to succeed in trading and investing. alot of people usually neglect investing at the early stage but only wake up to join the train when its halfway or near the destination. the oppression from friends and mates is also one of the things that make people fomo. thats why its always important to keep your emotions under control. dont be oppressed by anyones profit, you will make your own if you do the right thing. i read comments from lots of traders that are lamenting of their loss because of fomoing to buy the top. one important thing to always remember is that there are alot of opportunity, all you have to do is to find them early and buy into them.

Well to be honest it is easier to say than to be done because usually when a person especially those who have weak hand place in this kind of situation where everything is dip it would be hard for him to control his/her emotions and this could end up making a worse decision which is panic selling or buying. And usually, those newcomers are the ones who always experiencing this one but I can't blame them though because it is part of their learning to grow. Anyway, FOMO and FUD are some of the hindrances why traders lose their money, the only thing we can avoid this is to be knowledgeable and gain more experience.
992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish or Bearish? on: April 24, 2021, 12:48:06 PM
For anyone who saw the chart that OP provided like me then I would say that perhaps it is about to enter the bear trend because of sliding down lines. Anyway, I believed the dip we are having now is just a deep correction, this would cause panic for weak hands of course but this will be an opportunity for others to take buy it back. This has already happened before and will surely happen again. It is just like Bitcoin was charging up for it to break its current ATH. There's nothing to worry about perhaps after a few days or weeks it will recover soon.
993  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: April 24, 2021, 12:15:32 PM
There will be only 1 answer and that is NO. The government will not allow Bitcoin to take over because they have no control over it. Bitcoin would never replace fiat. They could co-exist yes, but dethrone each other I don't think that will happen. Besides, we still need cash though because not all countries are not still ready to accept Crypto especially Bitcoin. Perhaps if the government will able to take control of the transaction on crypto (which is less likely to happen) then perhaps it can replace central banks. Moreover, for me, it is better for Bitcoin to stay this way.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 24, 2021, 11:35:05 AM
It’s their turn to laugh at us HODLers after many months of laughing at them. But most importantly, learn to laugh at yourself. It relieves stress. Cool

Well, we can't do something about it Bitcoin is already crashing. I don't want to be optimistic regards this that it is still not over but I'd say we can still use it on our side like buying cheap coins and such. This is just a cycle market is not always pumping, there will be times that it will dip like entering the bear trend and I think it is just normal. However, we shouldn't stress about it because it will only lead to a wrong decisions like panic selling. You don't need to sell though just hold it till comes up and by then it will be more rewarding.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Satoshi moves or sells his Bitcoin? on: April 22, 2021, 12:31:55 PM
What you ever wondered what will happen with Bitcoin once Satoshi moves his/her/their coins to another address on the Blockchain? While most people are focused on other aspects of Bitcoin, they haven't realized that one day Satoshi could decide to dump all of his/her/their coins for profit. Or he/she/they could decide to manipulate the market with the huge stash of coins. This will certainly bring the attention of many crypto enthusiasts as recent network activity could indicate that Satoshi is still alive.

What are you thoughts? Huh
When Satoshi happens to move his coins it would cause panic across the market, imagine an overwhelming amount of bitcoin is being transferred that would surely get a lot of attention perhaps there would a panic sell may occur. If it happens he/she sells his stash it would totally bring the market down everything is in a bloodbath besides, I don't think the market will be able to accommodate this huge number. To put it simply, this could possibly destroy everything so I hope he had no intent to sell it.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin i should choose now? on: April 21, 2021, 02:28:43 PM
Hello Guys,

Trx, Zil and SXP, I am wondering between these 3 coins. Trx can x10 go 1$ like ADA?

Thanks for advice.

Personally, I will take TRX in fact I have already been holding it. There's a chance for it to reach $1, however, the question is when will that happen but if you will hold it for a longer time you will surely get an x10 from it. ADA is a pretty good coin as well, the will be a higher chance that you get a good return. Anyway, all the top listed coins are worth investing in as they hold little risk compared to any random coins hence there's nothing to worry if will choose over them. Since the market was in a little bit of a correction this will be a good time to buy those coins.
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: my trading is a fail help me, thanks on: April 21, 2021, 12:59:39 PM
From the subject itself, I have been trading these days, and success can be only be counted on hand and it's just damn luck for myself when I succeed a few times.

I want to explain my strategy but it's just giving me anxiety all I know is wrong for it failed a few times.

please be nice to what I am going to ask

Do you have any Facebook page or in any kind of social media that has someone who gives you a warning when you trade or not? I have been in many Facebook groups but its not what I am looking for.

Thanks for the nice response.

It seems you are pertaining to trading signals. On that matter, I haven't seen one on Facebook but I saw a lot of them in Telegram perhaps you want to check that out. There are few trading signals that can be found but most of them are paid so basically you need to subscribe to receive such signals. However, on some occasions, they are not reliable so it is still better for you to make your own TA. Based on what you have said, I think you need to improve your knowledge more in regards to trading. If you are not satisfied with your current knowledge then strive for more you will eventually get the outcome you wanted. Loss in trading is a normal thing you gotta move on it and learn from it for you to improve.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic V on: April 21, 2021, 12:07:34 PM
Wups...  So there’s news swirling around that a coal mine explosion at some province in China caused a huge power outage and prolly also caused BTC’s hash rate to drop by 30% or so.  That’s prolly the reason for the market sell down rn.  Just another over reaction by the market as usual.

No exactly know what is the true reason why make is down today but perhaps it is one of the factors. Personally, I am thinking why the market is down because where are just in correction because we all know that Bitcoin just recently set a new ATH, and based on a past event like this Bitcoin goes a correction after breaking an ATH. Anyway, there could be a lot of factors not only one like I am pretty sure that Turkey banning Bitcoin was also had an effect.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: April 21, 2021, 11:22:51 AM

I would not be so confident and so complacent and would like to remind you about the collapse of the bitcoin price at the beginning of the pandemic. I would rather say that Bitcoin has successfully passed its first exam as a defensive asset Wink The pandemic has not gone away yet, and new waves continue to roll over the lives and economies of states, forcing central banks to continue printing more and more money. But no one knows for sure how the exchange rate price of bitcoin will behave when such government programs are curtailed, and there is a fear of seeing the collapse of the bitcoin price then.

Nobody wanted this pandemic to started anyway if only people could changed what had happen and choose what should happen for sure this pandemic would never be chosen. We never expected it because it cost so much on every countries economy, it cost people's lives, unemployment and poverty. But one thing for me is sure that a good thing happen was cryptocurrency began to make a landmark, to be introduced to many, and able to make to raised values into a new ATH. However, we are now concerning on exchange rate price might have also increase over in time.

Indeed, because of this pandemic which really hit hard the economy every each country and so for the stock market, crypto prevails as it became somehow a safe haven for large institutions. Now they have understood that any economic crisis will not directly affect crypto. It sure did cause a lot of damage but this became an opportunity for crypto especially Bitcoin to shine up to any other assets. But yeah exchange price rate could also be alarming if it increases over time.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: April 21, 2021, 10:49:38 AM
I believed that bitcoin will not last because of government policy is against bitcoin and many people is seeing bitcoin as a scam, so with such points I don't think bitcoin will stay till 2030, and if bitcoin stay till then that means it will stay till further notice.
Please am not here to criticised cryptocurrency but from the attacks government attacks crypto I think such will come in reality.

I respect your opinion because long ago that is how I think of Bitcoin but now I believed that it will be fully accepted in the future. Imagine when I enter this crypto world about 4 years have passed. Bitcoin was totally strange for anyone, it is notorious for being used in a lot of shady transactions especially scamming but look at it now everyone doesn't want to miss out on the increase of bitcoin, even large institutions are now also venturing up. Moreover, those government who doesn't like Bitcoin at all even placing a prohibition toward it are now gradually accepting it, in fact, there are now numerous countries who already legalize it.
