702  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel is scary on: October 22, 2023, 02:30:22 AM
The last time I checked or remember about Israel and the possesion of mass destruction devices, is that they formaly have said they have some of those arsenals, but on the other hand, it has never been confirmed by third parties they have those devices.

Though, I would not be surprised if they actually have some of them, delivered by the United States and only under the command of use of USA.
Even if USA is their most important ally on this planet, it would be quite irresponsible of them to give those weapons to direct Israeli command, instead some USA commander in the middle east.
The bolded part is what scares me the most because without any confirmation from outside parties that would mean that they should be classified as a rogue nation. If you read the link that was provided by JoeyP, it could help you formulate that US is not a fan of giving nukes to Israel plus if you've known about the Cuban Missile Crisis, I think that you would know that US wouldn't put nukes that's close to Russia or anywhere in the Middle East so even if the US was sneaky about the nuclear arsenal delivery, Russian intelligence will definitely get a wind of that delivery and would react to it as if it's another Cold War for them.
703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Practices for Staying Safe When Gambling on: October 21, 2023, 03:05:08 AM
Right. Chasing losses can often lead to addiction, especially gamblers. Setting a specific budget and sticking to it is a smart strategy to help reduce the risk of addiction and maintain better control over gambling habits. It's important to enjoy gambling responsibly.
Not really the case, chasing losses in my opinion isn't a gateway to addiction but one of the many symptoms. The advices you've given are definitely right but if that person is really a gambling addict I am pretty sure that they wouldn't be able to do it and we all know how addiction works, if you don't have the money to sustain, you are definitely to find a way to sustain it by hook or by crook. As much as everyone wants to embody that last part but the money that you're losing when you lose in gambling is just going to make it difficult to do.
704  Other / Politics & Society / Israel is scary on: October 19, 2023, 03:44:11 PM
Remember that time when a reporter asked a politician from Israel about Israel having a nuclear arsenal or weapon in the country and the politician didn't have a straight answer and tries to answer in a way that doesn't answer the question but the reporter kept on insisting that it's a simple yes or no question which it is but the politician can't answer it? Now that they're on a war against Palestine, it's scares me that they're probably going to do anything for their country to survive, this will probably be the conflict that's going to answer that question. I don't have the link to that interview but I can remember it, hopefully someone knows about that interview too.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 19, 2023, 01:06:30 PM
We had this argument where I was the opinion that most men spend money on things that they are obligated to and cannot control it at times due to responsibilities, men are used to spending money already and because of being used to it, they can find it hard to be as economical as women can be. Do you agree with this unpopular opinion that women are more economical when it comes to money and are able to manage themselves and their homes better than men do?
To be honest with you, I feel that this debate was supposed to spark misogynistic and misandrist ideas among people which kind of makes the schism or divide much bigger which I believe isn't really a good thing. My opinion on this claim though is that because of roles that was imposed on both men and women, both sexes aren't freely able to choose which one they should do because either other men or women shun them for it or the society has a different expectations for them which they feel like they have to fulfill.
It's important to avoid making generalizations about the abilities of women and men as managers based on spending habits. Management skills and abilities vary greatly among individuals and are not determined by gender. Effective management is influenced by a range of factors, including education, experience, leadership qualities, and personal preferences.
Was about to say this, I don't think that there's a point in saying who's more economical of the two sexes. Habits are a universal thing and it just so happens that sometimes one gender are doing it more compared to other but that doesn't mean that they're the worse, I mean the debate and statistics misses the point, that there's a lot of men and women out there that's are bad at managing their money and in the end we are focusing on the wrong thing.

707  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Malicious Red Alert apps on: October 18, 2023, 05:53:23 AM
I don't know about other countries but in my country, if you have a phone and it has a sim card with your number on it, it sends you an alert message of what impending disaster you're going to have to prepare although it's mostly earthquakes and typhoons, I am sure that a war or an invasion will definitely be sent through those alerts. You can check in your country if they do have that kind of system too so you don't have to rely on this kind of apps and risk downloading the malware kind and if you don't then just keep an eye on the news; international and local, also learn your geography so you're not needlessly worried when a war erupts.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ferrari introduced BTC payment option for their cars on: October 14, 2023, 09:44:32 AM
It seems that someone trying to do what Tesla did the last time, hopefully this would be something that's going to last and not just a mere rugpull like what Tesla did. Is there going to be a catch when you purchase with bitcoin though? I feel like there is a catch because bitcoin isn't really in the bull run phase right now. In regards to Ferrari's decision, I believe that it's an outstanding move given that bitcoin's cheap right now and they can get more bitcoin out of 1 car that they're going to sell, hopefully they have marketing that's going to encourage people to use bitcoin to buy their Ferraris.
709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not an office on: October 14, 2023, 09:04:06 AM
Bitcointalk is a learning and acquiring knowledge on bitcoin platform. Even though you don't have the basic knowledge on bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies, you can learn a lot from here. So what the person has to do is to observe the activities of the forum. Before start posting. But I know that everyone has their own way of joining the forum.

Bitcointalk is a learning and educating platform and not to do gossiping and other bad activities. I welcome everyone both the old and new members to the forum.
Don't pretend, a lot of new accounts aren't here to really learn, some of them want to make money and they've heard that you can make money here by posting and so that's become their goal. I mean there's nothing wrong with trying to make a quick buck in the forum, aside from learning stuff about cryptocurrency and bitcoin there's nothing wrong but it should never be your priority if you want to be an active member of the forum because the money you earn equates to your rank and given how difficult it is to rank up especially for the upstarts. But I think that this topic isn't really for the newbies, this is for the people that are on campaigns and are just trying to get by with their posting at such a low quality.
710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 13, 2023, 06:28:57 AM
Look: It's like asking how to climb the corporate ladder. You simply will be ranked up if you actually deserve it.

Heck, a lot of us here aren't even trying so hard. If you truly know a lot of about Bitcoin/crypto/security/trading/investing/etc, people with merits will see it and give you merits. It's really that simple. There's no secret sauce here.
You forgot about the part where if the applicant has a strong backer, they can easily climb that corporate ladder which would make your comparison of climbing the corporate ladder to reach a new position to ranking up in the forum moot unless it's proven otherwise. But you're right though, if you're actively participating in discussions, people that will give you merits will just give it to you. And to you OP, I don't think that you really need to chase for that because doing so, it will only continue to elude you even further, focus on getting better at your posting and seeing your first 2 pages of recent posts, I think you are due for an improvement.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Winning Wisely: Strategies to Protect Your Bankroll on: October 11, 2023, 05:25:30 AM
Thank goodness you don't have any PDF links in there given that you can use those to hack into people's computers without them knowing a thing or two about it. Also, it's kind of hard to believe on what you're saying OP given that you have a flag on your account and most of the advice that you've listed are all just basic knowledge and common sense so there's nothing original is in there.
712  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User reselling my website on: October 11, 2023, 02:50:24 AM
Not to mention he did 0 changes and doesnt even have his own demo website.
That's what happens when you don't have any coding knowledge, you just outright steal the codes and hope that the original code developer wouldn't notice it. It's just a funny thing to me that when this people gets exposed, they are the one that's madder than the people that's accusing them of something. Good heads up OP, you've foiled the plan to use your website to scam people.
713  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kucoin withdraw block nightmare. STAY AWAY FROM KUCOIN on: October 11, 2023, 01:36:58 AM
Unfortunately, I heard many similar stories lately and even from the biggest exchanges like Binance so I am not surprised at all what's happened to you. These are the risks when dealing with centralized exchanges as its very hard to get your money if/when they decide to screw you over.

I know some people that eventually managed to get their withdrawals unblocked and some that are waiting for months (not Kucoin though, other CEX) so better be prepared as this could take some time. I just hope that you didn't have serious amount of money there.
I'm on your side about this stuff but the problem with this though is that not everyone's got the choice to stay away from these CEX, people are really risking their money on these based on trusting the CEX. I hope that we don't see another Mt. Gox incident because that's one hell of a scary thing to happen again and now with more people in crypto space, it's more tempting to do it for those CEX. If I was in OP's situation, I would probably be panicking and posting in the forum would probably be the least of my priorities but it seems that that's not the case for OP which is nice.
714  Economy / Economics / Re: What US can do with its dept? Genuine question. on: October 09, 2023, 12:34:13 PM
Iirc, most of their debts are from the Federal Reserve or like their own bank so I don't think that it's really a big deal for them to pay it back anytime soon, they can just accumulate as much debt as they can because it's not like it's coming from other countries. I might be wrong though so I welcome any correction to what I'm saying. If I am wrong about the debt and it's a debt to other countries, US can just use their influence to pay those country not with the money but with favors, I mean a country that have US on their side is a big help especially in terms of military and foreign policy.
715  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before and after bull run. on: October 09, 2023, 07:54:48 AM
To commit such acts just because of a problem in the market, it's kind of weird for that to happen and I don't think that it's a likely thing to happen. I think that it's not your responsibility to check on your relatives especially if you didn't have any part in them getting into crypto, maybe a little concern would be enough but checking up on them isn't or shouldn't be your responsibility. Although my first advice would be neglected if the case was that you pestered them into getting into crypto, they're definitely your responsibility otherwise you don't have to be as involved.
716  Other / Meta / Re: Here is why Bitcointalk is a reliable source! on: October 07, 2023, 07:09:14 AM
I wouldn't go so far as say that, if you talk about being a source of news, it's as reliable as the links that they've got to share the news to the forum. If you're talking about experiences, it isn't a reliable source because experience per person varies and if you're talking about information, you have to sift through all the opinions and information that the other people share regarding a specific topic so in a way, picking out what's correct and wrong just to get an information, I don't think that you can call that a reliable source. But one thing that I can say to you is that BCT is a reliable forum when you want to expand your knowledge and sharpen your critical thinking skills.
717  Other / Meta / Re: Can one plagarise unintentionally? on: October 07, 2023, 02:32:58 AM
Unintentional and plagiarism is like oil and water, they don't mix. If you mean by unintentional plagiarism, that they posted something that has the same thought as the other previous posts but worded in a way that it's not really a plagiarism but just a result of not reading the thread to see if their thought has already been conceived. But if you mean that they have the same post and thought as other previous post, I don't think that's in any way intentional because no way someone from a different place in a different country on the Internet can have the exact same thoughts and vocabulary, in essence I don't believe that there's such a thing as unintentional plagiarism.
718  Other / Meta / Re: Are posts-reports in the "Report plagiarism..." thread stupid posts? on: October 02, 2023, 09:50:47 AM
It helps the forum to be more aware that plagiarized posts and contents are out there, it would be stupid if this doesn't help with the cause which is stamping out plagiarizers on the forum and make sure that the content of threads are organic and not monotonous. It also helps other users by being active in reporting plagiarized content so they can be noticed by older/long time members of the forum which in my opinion is a good thing because that means that you're active in the forum and not just a mindless post spammer.
719  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: September 30, 2023, 03:00:25 PM
It doesn't matter, degrees and masters might make you ahead of the pack but that don't mean that you're going to win the race, the most successful entrepreneurs are those that have the grit and will to do things that they're going to get laughed at because no one's believing them, the greatest entrepreneurs has the knack for million dollar idea, Henry Ford didn't pursue an education that we might see as respectable but he became the founder and pioneer of the automotive industry. Starting a company is an easy thing, the hardest part would be the maintenance and how you plan to create a product that's going to be sought after by many people.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: September 30, 2023, 01:53:29 PM
hard to be optimistic these days when you can't see any light at the end of the tunnel, and all of these can only happen out of the inert kindness in people, especially the Russian-Ukrainian war. And we all know not to trust that especially during tense situations lol. I say let's balance things out a little, be realistic as it is. There's much reason to be negative about the current situation of the whole planet but there's also many things to be happy about. Either we divert our efforts into actually being part of the change that will make the whole world a better place, or we lie in our dorito-crusted seats and watch as the rest of the planet burns to the ground. Either way we have a choice to make.
As much as I want to say that you're pedantic, I do share your sentiments, with the war going on and seeing how many lives are wasted on it because Putin and Zelensky are doing a big dick competition. I don't share your opinion of being realistic too much though, I think we just need to live in the moment and never think too much about things that only depress us, things will pass eventually although in that regard, it's probably for better or worse. Your solution is really difficult imo because you're building things and in this world, it's easier to destroy things than build something even if it's worth it plus we're living in a dog eat dog individualistic world, it's going to take another Malcolm X and Martin Luther King and Gandhi to move this kind of world.
