I've already suggested this in the form of more donator ranks that come with signatures as perks. You could either remove them all from everyone and you have to pay to get one or keep the current system but add the option to also skip through that and buy the required sig straight away.
Even the VIP user, TradeFortress, turned into scam one.
The account has very 'amazing' negative trust point, at -9999.  Roll Eyes

I known about his history by chance through the following topic:
Legendary profiles of bitcointalk. (by Ariem)
Therefore, I don't think that Donator or VIP users should be given many priorities.

Why would that account matter? Having a donator/vip account doesn't give you dominion over others and neither would new donator ranks.
1502  Other / Meta / Re: Ban and deletion message - better communication will increase efficiency on: January 04, 2019, 02:01:40 PM
Reasons for temp bans are already given. Most of the things that get suggested to improve the forum are all things that have been suggested before including this. The problem is I'm not sure how much time theymos wants to spend on coding things for this forum, so we'll probably just have to make do with the recent change to the autoban message.

3. I am ready to donate all my earning from bitsler campaign if Yahoo allows me again. This could be for infinite period or I will accept any duration you will impose to me.

Why do you want your account back so bad? I thought it was so you could earn but now you're saying you'll donate all the money to charity. How would that work exactly?
1505  Other / Meta / Re: My account was Banned on: January 01, 2019, 01:21:34 PM
I had doubt on TRON with no working products. So you better hold or buy ethereum. Trx has a huge amount of total supply, and I don't know if it has a chance to go 1 dollar in the future.

The user you gave merit to is also banned. I'm sure that was an alt doing the same: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2202079  blackssmith2018 June 12, 2018

What does the red notice say when you log in with your banned account?

Yes. I think any permaban causes evil points. As for what other behaviours do I think theymos will have to answer that. I'm not sure what he wants as public knowledge or not.
1508  Other / Meta / Re: Alternatives to Permabans for plagarism on: December 30, 2018, 02:58:14 PM
Do we know if any progress has been made in this topic ?

Has the new team in charge of managing hacked and locked / banned accounts been given any directives?

If you are banned

Your ban message may have an email address which you can email. If not, then appeals are unlikely to be accepted.

Whoever is in the recovery team is probably just there to restore hacked/lost accounts and not cases of bans for breaking rules. Theymos has said there are no concrete rules regarding bans and we can enforce them as we see fit and be more lenient in certain cases, but I'm not going to give certain people free passes because it's not fair and is just going to lead to more issues and hassle when people start complaining that x was unbanned for y by so-and-so so why aren't they. The only way I'll likely start giving people second chances if theymos implements signature bans. That way there's some fairness across the board. You can have your account back but you just can't earn from it. I would be happy to review accounts if this was put into place but I don't think it would be fair to unban certain people and they can resume partaking in signature campaigns whilst others don't even get their accounts back at all. Several people have said they would happily forgo a signature if they can just get their account back so I think it's something we should look at. If that happens and they stick around and show that they're a helpful member of the community and aren't here just for payment then I'd even be up for reviewing whether they can have their signature back at some point as well, but I think if Globals start making up their own rules for who gets unbanned or not it's just opening up a huge can of worms that will only lead to more problems.

Minor update, arrived home safely today. Got a fever so the double round will continue as planned; I'm likely unable to get though post counting tomorrow

Lot's of people seem to get a "fever" over xmas.

How long has this phrase been in the forum footer? First time I noticed her was today. Does anyone know the reason?

Probably because of this https://twitter.com/CobraBitcoin/status/1078008324329746433

I can up the offer to $10k. Remember when some joker actually tried to buy the forum for that? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=468020.msg5179218#msg5179218

1512  Other / Meta / Re: I've stopped reporting posts on: December 24, 2018, 04:05:59 PM
I still don't know which one was bad. I didn't report the one in the OP. As has been suggested, it's all subjective. I put people on ignore for starting threads with all caps titles, but I don't think that rates as a capital offence here. Smiley

You reported something as plagiarism but the person provided the source link so that's probably why it was marked as bad.
1513  Other / Meta / Re: The most IMPORTANT post you will read this week. Let's get off this path now... on: December 24, 2018, 11:13:38 AM
mikeywith probably said everything that needs to be said, but if certain people are causing you so much annoyance it's probably best to just ignore them and your problems will probably go away. Take a few days off for the holiday if the board is getting to you but things aren't that serious and there's really no grand conspiracy here.
1514  Other / Meta / Re: I've stopped reporting posts on: December 24, 2018, 11:09:53 AM
I think I've only reported about 100 posts with 97% accuracy, but I see that as 3% failure. If I fail. then I like to know the reason for the failure so that I can improve my performance. I was going to report the thread I mentioned because of the title, and the lack of information in the OP. Normally I wouldn't have opened the thread, but I was in one of my "Lets improve the Internet" moods. Smiley

Did I read that it is now possible to view a listing of our post reports. If so, that would solve the problem for me.

I think you need to have reported a minimum of 300 posts or something before that becomes available. Don't be disheartened by one bad report. They help us out and I think pretty much everyone gets them. Just learn from the mistake and if something has a source link then it's probably best not to report it.

Do not worry about your accuracy too much; one accurate report is worth many inaccurate reports.

I wonder what attire is required? Black tie and tails?

also, Its second time I try to join but my message was erased by a mod, so if im accepted let me know and I change my clothes.

Or perhaps this person will be so shocked if they get accepted that it will require a change of clothes after they soil themselves.

I was just about to post this. Maybe he suits up everyday for work as a sig campaigner. I know I do.

Saw this one today:

Does grooming lead to sex, or does sex lead to grooming or neither?

Who knows. I  can’t tell from this.  I mean, it makes sense that if you groom you might think about sex more, and thus have sex more often.  It also makes sense that if you have sex more often, you might want to groom to make it better.  Or, if you aren’t having sex, why bother grooming, because it doesn’t make a difference.
1517  Other / Meta / Re: About the ban. Help me please! on: December 22, 2018, 05:00:35 PM
Except that it kind of is the only *populated* forum related to cryptocurrency. (Unless you count Bitcoin.SE, which i would say isn't a forum.)

I'm pretty sure OP got banned for these sorts of posts:

Bitcoin (BTC) received another negative assessment from central banks, this time Benoit Kerere from the executive board of the European Central Bank (ECB), calling the original cryptocurrency “an evil offspring of the financial crisis,” reports the Financial Times. That can be found on the network recently. Bitcoin fell and fiat experts immediately started a new wave of hate, do you think bitcoin will recover soon?

This might be a hint. The FT has a paywall. So if the OP is copy-pasting from there we won't find it via Google.

Financial Times wouldn't refer to themselves like that. It's likely from another article quoting FT.
1518  Other / Meta / Re: About the ban. Help me please! on: December 22, 2018, 03:25:45 PM
The reason sounded: "For plagiarism, or spam from the account." There was definitely no plagiarism, all this is personal thoughts about certain events. If this was regarded as spam, then I would like to find a solution.

It says probably banned for plagiarism as that's what most permabans are issued for, but probably is the keyword here. I can't find any reports on you in the report queue but there was a post in the staff forum about spam on the 12th of December and I'm guessing that was what you were banned for seven days for. Maybe contact a Russian mod and see if they can shed any light on it.

I wrote this for a reason: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0

Seems to have mostly worked because these sorts of threads used to happened every day and now I hardly ever see them, but congrats on being the anomaly.

Plagiarism:

LendsBay Credit ecosystem is a system for trusted financial transactions between people based on transparency and blockchain technology.

Interestingly enough the account below that post is doing the same. An alt perhaps?

Lendsbay is normalising this informal lending market would reduce the risks for lenders and improve the terms for borrowers.
