1507  Other / Off-topic / Re: WARNING! http://microsoft.com-selected-winner.link/ on: November 01, 2015, 03:20:12 AM
I have been receiving emails from which they claim they are the "microsoft team". They are on the spam box so I never clicked on it. Also it's a  obvious scam attempt if not phishing or whatever underground purposes. Thanks for alerting the public!
as long as they are not ever attempting to get anything private or bitcoins from us.

corrected your spelling.
1508  Other / Meta / Re: should we restrict gambling from major advertisement? on: November 01, 2015, 03:17:17 AM
clarify that...
not restricting gambling completely.
at least we need to add some of the words like "play responsibly" which is explicit in the advertisement banner.
1509  Other / Meta / Re: should we restrict gambling from major advertisement? on: November 01, 2015, 02:44:11 AM
but would you feel annoyed with those gambling ads if they were throughout the months and even years?
No, why would I? I have no interest in Gambling for them to perhaps try and tease me in.
A gambling site is a business. Businesses need people using them for them to prosper. Whether you like it or not, the only way to get people to use your service is to tell them about it through advertising.
It would be unfair to stop that simply because of the type of site they are, especially since the site is completely law abiding.

Also, hate to break it to you buddy, but a site in your signature is a gambling site. If you're so against it, maybe you should remove that first.

you may ignore it, but it is brain washing.
Yeah man, the general public is being brainwashed by gambling adverts on a bitcoin forum. Now, where did I put my tinfoil hat again?
i don't wanna argue first of all.
of course it is a business, it is sure that they are legal.
the media of advertisement in this site is being monopolized by gambling, well. are there anything more innovative in the advertisement as we can see?
well, i have no idea. we want something good inside advertisement, if i were not brainwashed by those advertisements, then i would be bored with them.
1510  Other / Meta / Re: should we restrict gambling from major advertisement? on: November 01, 2015, 02:20:24 AM
i don't wanna see casinos keep monopolizing the advertisement slot.
it is nominally fair, but would you feel annoyed with those gambling ads if they were throughout the months and even years?
you may ignore it, but it is brain washing.
1511  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ban the person above you (jokingly). on: October 31, 2015, 02:54:40 PM
Banned for being too cool!  Cool
banned for banning others just because (s)he is cool.
Banned for having a username which i haven't won't won ever.
banned for misrepresentation of lottery losses.
1512  Other / Meta / should we restrict gambling from major advertisement? on: October 31, 2015, 02:08:39 PM
AFAIK, i have already seen more than 90% of the advertisement slots are being occupied solely by gambling.
those major casinos earns more than what we are expecting for from us, they may even put out 10BTC+ without any worries as they can earn all back from some of the people.
why don't we reserve the advertisement slot for non-gambling?
1513  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ban the person above you (jokingly). on: October 31, 2015, 01:31:24 PM

1515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $350 during november? on: October 31, 2015, 05:31:46 AM
i am not sure if it is gonna be, unless china is gonna completely legalize the bitcoin, otherwise we need to get more people to use bitcoin.
fact: in china, the bitcoin price is already 350 a few hours ago, based info on www.coinmarketcap.com
1516  Economy / Goods / Re: selling/ providing info about memory cards (shipped from hong kong) on: October 31, 2015, 05:22:49 AM
You can source cheap SSDs for desktops/laptops? How much would one with 250gb or 500gb cost? Any brand is fine as long as it's authentic.
reminder: HKD is pegged to USD.

SATA3

Samsung EVO 850:
250GB = ~HKD$689 = ~$90
500GB = ~HKD$1200 =~$155

ADATA SP550:
240GB = ~HKD$500 = ~$65

Silicon Power S60:
480GB = ~HKD$1100 = ~$142

subject to bulk pricing.
shipping cost is around HKD$300 per 5 counts.
lol thanks, i guess i need to make my info to be free.
1517  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: October 30, 2015, 01:42:07 PM

1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / thing to do to prevent (or if infected by) bitcoin ransomware or viruses. on: October 30, 2015, 01:38:21 PM
idk where to post so i posted in here, sorry.
hello everyone, this post is my part of "Random Shit Review" of my youtube, i am gonna record my sound with this post if i have spare time.

this is explicitly important if you do not yet have any good security with those bitcoin ransomware such as "CryptoWall". i am gonna spend an hour to complete this post to help people to prevent from infection by bitcoin randomware or viceversa (and what to do if infected).
don't let hackers gain funds in inappropriate way otherwise bitcoin would be more likely failed once again.

how to prevent getting infected by bitcoin ransomware:

1. flexibly use SSD and HDD.
this is one of the most important advice in which probably nobody had ever created this advise.
in order to prevent bitcoin ransomware from attacking your computer too fast, and in order to get a better guarantee of getting your file back.

choosing  both HDD/SSD will be the best rather than just SSD or HDD solely, why?
because if you just choose SSD for your computer, bitcoin ransomware will be able to encrypt your file unexpectedly fast and it is probably gonna be even worse if you have your private data in it, including your bitcoin wallet if contain value and remain unencrypted. this is not the worst, the worst part is if you don't not pay for the hackers, there is gonna be almost completely no ability to get your file back, that is true.
if you just choose HDD for your computer, then you will not be able to purge the such viruses completely within your HDD and there will be always a hidden threat that you will probably not ever know when you will be infected once again, and if the virus rages, you might even get your computer into "his" property.
if you choose both HDD and SSD, then you will have less possibility to be infected by those bitcoin ransomware, why? because HDD allows you to recover your file, SSD can purge the viruses completely. however, configure your hard disk and do not let both directly into a redundant arrays or else it will worsen the security to prevent bitcoin ransomware from attacking your computer.

2. get at least 2 trusted antivirus software.
then you will have at least 2 walls to defend with the bitcoin ransomwares.
more antivirus does not always mean it is better unless you have a more powerful computer for those antiviruses in need. beware that their trust and you should use your alternate computer (if you have one, and must not contain any private files) to test before choosing those antiviruses for your primary computer.

3. encrypt your files, and empty/encrypt bitcoin wallets.
you should always encrypt your own files especially if it is needed to have security or it is secret with a strong password and store it into HDD, not SSD, you knew that SSD isn't possible to get your files recovered. for bitcoin wallet, always empty your value to a safe place, or encrypt it with an appropriate level (if you are a pro and you are fearless of double encrypting, try to encrypt the wallet data directly). by the way, always backup a wallet to an alternate computer if you have one.

4. open all your antiviruses before you download anything.
it will slowdown your computer, but it is always better than just fast, since they will always help you to scan the viruses or bitcoin ransomware before you touch it.

5. always update your OS system update, get most of the necessary patch, and update most of your software (firmware).
if you wanna prevent the bugs that will have a risk from attackers (just like bitcoin ransomware), you have to take more attention to most of the necessary updates. most of the update of your software can help you to get the protection, normally you will have more safety if you do.

6. not to be greedy to download some bitcoin generator, encryptors, or viceversa.
if you are too greedy to believe that you can roll a lot of bitcoins  via the bitcoin multiplying website, downloading unknown files (commonly for free bitcoin); or if you wanna be "safe" from like "cryptolocker", always check that if they require you to download some files, especially if you don't even know what that site exactly is. do not fall into some of the scam, or counterfeit websites and get hijacked or whatsoever. if you see something that isn't what you are expecting for, or you see some virus is impending to attack your computer, stop it as soon as you discovered it.

what to do if you just fallen into those viruses:
if you are unlucky to be infected by them, take some of these action to prevent hackers:

1. reset all of your necessary password immediately.
once you are under attack of those viruses, if you have any alternate computer, try to change all of the password as soon as the computer you used for being hacked, although those hackers can view what he just gained, if you are luck that they are not online, you can get all of your account safe from hackers.

2. spend all of the funds in bitcoin wallet involved as soon as possible.
even though if your password encrypted is strong enough from being cracked, hackers can still spend a period before the password is revealed. if you have a wallet backup stored in your alternate computer, unlock it and spend it all immediately, and better to mix it out so hackers will not be able to gain your funds.

3. broadcast a hacked message on blockchain (optional).
if you do place such of your information of your hacked computer, and post it to blockchain, since blockchain will help you to broadcast them out, there will be the best evidence to prove you are hacked especially if the hackers who hacked your computer through virus is successfully arrested. this is the best way to spot out hackers in which hackers won't be able to manipulate it.
or broadcast a SOS on a blockchain, lol (it might actually works if any miners or people found your message).

4. restore your computer immediately, completely (remember to disconnect!).
purge all of the data from your computer hacked by those ransomwares as soon as you completed all of the set downs. but before you start to reset your computer, you must disconnect your computer completely so hackers won't take any data from your computer. hackers can still take your data if you do not disconnect them completely.

this is WIP, your suggestion will always make this post better.
