1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥[GUNBOT] Trading Bot with 136 exchanges available!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 on: October 14, 2022, 09:47:32 AM
Hi Gunthar (or anyone that can help) ...

I have had an issue that was rectified with Binance, but required a new API to be setup for GunBot.

After Replacing the API Keys in the GunBot Config - the GunBot Licence has been revoked and I can no longer trade. What must I do to get this reinstated? Is there an automated way of doing it?

All help will be appreciated as I would like to get this up and running again ASAP. Gunthar - I have messaged You via PM here on BCT also just in case You get to that first.

Thanks,

#crysx #cwi
Depending on your license, you need to run your wallet and a working API to change the other licenses in your Gunthy wallet. As long as you have your wallet, we can change the API in it.

You can also create a ticket here: https://gunthy.zendesk.com/

Let me know what else you need.
1502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Discord Servers of different projects on: October 14, 2022, 06:27:29 AM
It asks you to verify by captcha and stuff, just to make it look legit and it shares a link as well I think, which no one should click without proper verification. Once that link is clicked, the metamask wallet opens and asks them to approve the application and once the user does that, BAM, their wallet gets hacked. It's as simple as that for those scammers. They don't care what a person goes through because of their actions. Recently I myself have been a target of some hacker group and lost 3+ BTC and other assets. I still get sad because of it... So please make sure not to click on scammy links and always store your crypto in a Hardware wallet. Thanks for reading. Stay safe. Smiley
I don't think approving would be able to hack the wallet but inputting your secret phrase would make it vulnerable to attacks for sure. Just be careful with that. Those hackers are expected to not care at all about the users that they are attacking. As long as their benefit from it, they wouldn't care at all.

This is a new insight for me, seems scamming scheme does keep evolving on Discord. @crwth, do you mind if you share the particular Discord server that you experienced regarding this issue or any server that you any aware of? The above comment seems to give a new explanation. It is probably that the hacker are keeping the Discord member list or utilizing the discord server newcomer bot, it is also plausible that the alleged scam site are from someone instead of directly from the server verification bot.
I joined the Enjin discord group. I'm not sure if the verification bot is compromised or something.

Never experience it myself but it is not that surprising. I mean, there have been cases like this since MetaMask become popular and some people never bothered to check whether a contract or request is malicious or not. I do get an invite to many scam groups though. It seems like Discord is really not that different from Telegram if we're talking about scammers' modus operandi.
If you are in multiple groups like signal groups or something. You would receive unsolicited DMs from bots saying that you have won X amount of ETH or BTC. That's the usual thing that scammers do or something.

I have joined a few discord servers and never asked that way just as you've experienced. That's already fishy when a website asks you to connect to your wallet even if it's not required at most times and it's just a discord or telegram channel.
And another red flag is when they've asked you about your private keys/recovery phrases. It's a total no-no and whoever owns that server surely knows what he's up to and that's likely why many folks have been hacked that they've never noticed, they're giving their seed phrases willingly not knowing that it's a type of hack or phishing.
That's the reason why I'm surprised to have that and asked here in the forum if you have experienced it yourselves with something similar.

lol thank you for this information. I just know that if hacker is starting to create scam bot to be used on discord as well. Shit this gonna be a problem for discord to remove such bot. Asking for recovery phrase and password have become a red flag if that discord server has been infected by scam bot. The creator is a scammer. im sure about this. The verification is having a purpose to confirm if you're not bot but not for asking that our wallet, password or even phrase.
Be careful what you browse and see. Never give out recovery phrases etc.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Do you have winning limits???? on: October 13, 2022, 01:10:10 PM
When we talk about the loss of entire funds, I think that will always be an experience for everyone. I doubt that there's someone who hasn't lost their initial budget when gambling. Even once. If they are regular gamblers, the chances are close to 100% with that.

I had a time when I limited myself to a specific daily loss and continued to another day. That's how I made my current balance in a casino from $20 to $200. It took some time, but you need to be patient. Eventually, after I withdrew my initial amount, I lost the balance I left in the casino. I think that's just the way it is. Lol.
1504  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: plagiarism is usually frowned upon be warned on: October 13, 2022, 08:57:06 AM
Usually, if you are new to the space, you first check how the forum works. That would initially be the following
  • Checking the Beginners & Help section
  • Checking the stickied post on a specific section
  • Observe how members post to increase your chances of ranking up (assuming you have done your research)

That's what the newbies should do if they are interested in figuring things out before anything else. Copying and pasting what is not yours is not good in any field or industry. Everyone should know that.
1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic - Take profit or hold? on: October 12, 2022, 04:08:28 PM
A lot of people were affected by the crash, knowing that it destroyed a lot of people's dreams. It’s not going to be smooth sailing from now on. It’s like people with traumatic experiences that wouldn’t want to go back to that scene where they have experienced it. There is already a track record, and I don’t think it will return to that level anymore.

Just take your profit and enjoy it for sure. You have made a positive thing towards that all negative.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh has blocked 331 online casinos on: October 12, 2022, 03:19:35 PM
Those politicians probably want to get a piece of the pie as well. They are aware of this things. And for sure that that’s one of the reasons why crypto has been developed because of this censoring issues, and of course, the centralisation power. It’s still best to go to websites that are legal in your country.
1507  Other / Meta / Re: See this burst poster here. on: October 12, 2022, 05:23:08 AM
Poker Player mistakenly linked to their own profile and not that of the user in question.
I don't think it's a mistake since what he mentioned is what it shows in the latest replies that he did. Maybe he is just concerned that what he did is okay.

This would be dependent on the campaign manager if he would accept it. Maybe he is catching up with post count?
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 11, 2022, 12:47:36 PM
With all the news with regards to Elon, it’s probably going to be connected with regards to his holdings. Doge of course would be part of it and anyone in any news with regards to connections with it will be produced and marketed, so that people would see doge as something as a reliable coin to profit from and possibly hold as well.

If you have money to spare, maybe you could really get some doge coins or something. Not financial advice.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Discord Servers of different projects on: October 11, 2022, 04:34:08 AM
That is something new that I barely heard. On which parts specifically do they ask the secret recovery phrase? On some website or directly at Discord?
The steps were these.
  • After joining a discord server, there's a verification needed
  • After verification, captcha bot DMed
  • It opened to a captcha site then verification
  • Then after that, the Metamask extension was shown and then asked for your password, which is normal when opening the extension
  • After that then it's asking for verification to input a recovery phrase.

Are they asking you to connect the Metamask or something? Because I also just know about it. Usually, I only experience joining a discord server that only requires basic captcha verification. Joining a discord server that requires you to connect a Metamask wallet is already shady at best. Or is it just the norm out there? For any specific purpose.
Not really sure if it's the norm though.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Discord Servers of different projects on: October 11, 2022, 03:48:46 AM
Has anyone experienced joining a server and then being asked to confirm through a captcha bot then proceeding to your MetaMask wallet as normal, then being asked your secret recovery phrase?

I just experienced this and of course, I immediately didn't continue with this because it's obviously a scam. People need to be aware that you don't need to connect or input your phrase to any type of website or something. The steps are quite convincing TBH.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Reason why online wallets are hack on: October 10, 2022, 10:43:58 PM
Knowledge is essential when it comes to the safety of your wallet. The most common way to protect it is to know the different forms of scamming or hacking of your wallet. From that, you can have somewhat of a gist before doing anything that could harm you.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Squid coin - how did it impact you? on: October 10, 2022, 04:16:04 PM
I’m curious as to why you chose this topic for your school because did it have an impact on your life as well? I’m hoping that it didn’t, and you just wanted to emphasize how these types of projects can be manipulated into making it seem like a good investment.

Would you also publish your essay into the forum after I would really like to read it.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: October 10, 2022, 01:40:10 PM
I hope I will be watching a rerun today. Whoever has missed it, I advise to look for a rerun, it worth it!
Why not watch the highlights of the Grand Prix? You could see the link below.

All the issues with it the race it’s really complicated with the tractor and having the poor visibility while driving it’s really hard and all the signages that are flying around. It was really interesting.
1514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 09, 2022, 11:35:05 PM
You cannot blame the people who have invested in bitcoin and have seen the prices volatility, and some people cannot handle that changes in that because they always see what they lost and that day or maybe a week. People need to understand how difficult it is to not see the short-term but focus only on the long-term.
1515  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we heading towards recession ? on: October 09, 2022, 01:16:40 PM
If we were to see all that has happened in the previous years, I think it is really due to all the issues that are with the world. The wars and saving of different governments for the people. It's going to collapse soon after. I hope no one will be damaged too much, making it hard for people to recover, but I  think it's due, as LoyceV said.

If there are even more economic casualties, it will happen sooner, and I believe we are there already.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will next hot topic for alt seasons 2025 on: October 08, 2022, 04:32:48 PM
I think it is possible to be in that direction, because looking at the history, like with the Internet is a definitely one of the things that could be a game changer with web3.0. Maybe in the oncoming technology is to be invented it could bring more people in depending on what application you have.

Time in the market would be hard, but as long as you think that web 3.0 can dominate the market, then maybe we could start accumulating now.
1517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading Volume really matter ? on: October 08, 2022, 04:51:03 AM
It is the amount of trading that would come into a particular asset that would show the amount of buying and selling of it, and it could indicate whether it has actual traders and people are interested in it. Depending on what trading indicator or specifically a parameter that you would come into conjunction with the trading volume, then you could probably utilize it. If it is not, it couldn’t be of any use, depending on your trading strategy and where you are successful.
1518  Other / Meta / Re: Does Forum Advertising Considered as a Formal Work? on: October 08, 2022, 02:25:04 AM
If the relevance of the one you are applying with would be beneficial to know that you are posting and creating content in the forum. Maybe that would be an added advantage, and you should include that in your CV. If not, it’s just something to add, and then I think it’s not necessary to be in that CV.
1519  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 07, 2022, 05:14:47 PM
It’s not easy to have the advantage of some other people who have the resources that they have at their disposal. Everyone has a different starting line, and we need to understand that if you ever compare yourself to other people, it’s not going to be the same.

i think am guilty with some of it like the spender part, like I play a lot of games and I spend money on it.
I'm trying not to be lazy as well.
1520  Economy / Gambling / Re: Maybe Yet to be seen? on: October 06, 2022, 10:59:24 PM
There have been attempts towards that and the other members have already mentioned it. The utility of the NFTs, I think, is to utilize that into exclusive memberships. Like a VIP club that you need to have before you can go into that specific room or something. As well as a pass that could be used for a particular slot machine.

You can use discord for the third question. There are a lot of ways, you just need to share screen it.
