I havent watched the video so far but i think i speak for all of us here while saying a big THANK YOU! I didnt know that you are not involved in the donations and can say on my behalf that i am more than willing to share my rewards with you once the project proceeds. I understand your criticism, but a 5% premine that hasnt been included in the ICO would result in big issues legally as community wise. Not everybody will agree with that and like you some won't like the sheer fact that they havent been informed from the start about something like that and are now being forced to do so.
Either way something is being included that wasn't mentioned in the ico: 1- 5% premine 2- 5% donation 1- ensures original IOTA investors are part of the future 2- does NOT which is better for you? both are new developments that weren't disclosed during the ICO 1 and 2 are not the same. 1 is a breach of contract, where else 2 is technically not. You can obv argue that it comes close to that but its not same. |

Der Ton den vor allem David an den Tag legt ist schon sehr grenzwertig. Immer wieder provoziert er oder lässt sich provozieren was dann zu dämlichen Diskussionen führt. Dazu ist es schon ne dreiste Nummer welche die beiden abziehen, entweder ihr gebt uns 5% aller IOTA oder wir ziehen weiter und lassen das Projekt sterben.
Vollkommen unreif sind auch so manche Sachen die CFB so ablässt, er will den Kurs nach dem Launch absichtlich abstürzen lassen um, wie er sagt, die bösen Spekulanten zu vertreiben und danach dann erst wichtige News veröffentlichen. Vollkommen unabhängig das ich nicht denke das er das durchzieht bzw sein "Plan" aufgeht zeigt das jedoch äußerst deutlich wie unreif und teilweise auch leicht provozierbar die beiden sind.
Alles in allem muss ich sagen hat mich das äußerst ungeschickte und teilweise aggressive Verhalten der beiden die letzten Tage dazu bewogen meine Erwartungen bezüglich IOTA doch ein wenig nach unten zu schrauben. Ich glaube einfach nicht mehr das die beiden es gebacken kriegen so ein Projekt zu managen sobald tatsächlich grössere Firmen daran interessiert sein sollten.
Nicht zuletzt erscheint mir dadurch auch das GUI-Debakel in einem anderen Licht, war ich bisher eher von Pech ausgegangen gesellt sich jetzt eher Unvermögen im Management dazu.

Your assumption is that 5% donation will be reached after the launch and the coin hits exchanges. The question is that if the 5% won't be reached during the claiming, will it be reached after the launch and hits the exchanges? If your assumption is wrong, we will be doomed. lol yeah, everybody will be doomed. seriously thats exactly that drama bullshit that i am talkin about that doesnt help this project in any way. the whole point is that at the moment we cannot do anything anyhow apart from wait for the launch. a forced donation (thats what i assume you are all about) is anyway completely out of the question. |

So wie es im aktuellen Bericht aussieht hat der Insolvenzverwalter bereits umgerechnet eine knappe Million EUR abgegriffen (Trustee's Fee). Da er auch noch Prozesse gegen die anderen insolventen Unternehmensteile führt, wird diese Summe sicherlich noch deutlich steigen.
Das ist aber relativ harmlos. Ich kann mich noch gut daran erinnern wie du prophezeist hast das von den Einlagen nichts übrig bleiben würde. Ich bin immer noch davon überzeugt, dass für uns nur Brotkummen übrig bleiben... Kommt auf deine Definition von "Brotkrummen" an. |

Whats kind of silly in this whole "discussion" is the fact that nothing has even happend yet. The 5% will most likely be easily reached, just let everyone know that we have a stable and final release and let all those IOTAs change hands that have been sold the last months and THEN have a look at where we stand.
Its just completely unnecessary to have such a hostile discussion at this moment.

1) Development of IOTA that has been ongoing since late July
2) Development of Jinn processor project

BTC Donations,, ich glaube langsam das die Jungs einfach nur mehr Profit sehen wenn sie mehr Iotas einsammeln (aufgrund BigDeal?), es ist schon auffällig wie sehr sie zum einen deiner Frage ausweichen und zum anderen keine Möglichkeit bieten BTC zu donaten. Irgendwie fühlt sich das mitlerweile an wie eine Erpressung,, gut ich donate auch gerne hier und da aber der Ton macht die Musik. Ziehmlich suspekt das Ganze. Das Ganze ist unglaublich schlecht gemanaged. Ich werd nachher noch was zu schreiben. |

It's certainly no threat, what could we possibly be threatening with? The terms of our sale agreement were simple: You prepurchase software, we develop said software, you get said software - deal is done. No more, no less.
If people also want us to continue working + other people who will be in the foundation, then of course they have to pay for it. No one is going to work 5-10 hour days for anyone for free, that's borderline slavery. The reason we have to take this blunt tone is that a lot of people in crypto tend to actually treat the initiators of projects like slaves that they somehow inexplicably 'own' for all eternity.
Then why are you so hesitant to accept Bitcoins as donation? I can see that the foundation has its value but i cannot see the necessity to fund it strictly with IOTA. |

The idea behind a no premine is great.
But things can change along the way, no big deal imo.
Lets just do a 5% premine, no hastle everybody donates the same, small or big holder. It is in everybodies best interest.
I think it also will have a positive effect, since it will mean moving forward.
We are all part of this great project. I think if more that 50% wants a premine, lets do it and move on.
Yes, I definitely agree with you If we can a solution where the users could vote, that would be the most ideal solution. I expect most would chose the 5% premine, including myself. If everyone can vote with his stake it would be a great solution. In that case IOTA would start with a horrible PR disaster, comparable with the accidental Darkcoin instamine that still clings to Dash and its developer. Dont underestimate the turmoil that this would cause, even if 90% would agree. On the other hand, if 90% agree it should be no problem at all to reach 5% and i am convinced it will be no problem as soon as we have a release and everybody is on the same page. |

Basically everyone who holds more IOTA than he needs for testing purposes is a speculator. There is simply no need to hold larger amounts of IOTA until you somehow plan to do a profit. Even if you are planing to hold IOTA for 10 years or more you are still speculating that the value will rise, otherwise there would be no need to hold any IOTA at all.
