1521  Economy / Economics / Re: Im looking for traders and financial people to join with me on: July 26, 2023, 02:15:21 PM
A nice initiative, but for this reason the forum was designed. If you are patient a little and become a well-known member then you can easily invite some people in private and they will join your channel. It is related to the quality of your posts and whether others will benefit from you or not.
The problem with these initiatives is that predicting the direction of digital currencies is almost impossible, so creating such channels may cause problems among members, and you can join the wall ----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.0 they discuss bitcoin prices in a non-binding and kind of fun way.
1522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price action on: July 26, 2023, 02:02:33 PM
All of the above suggestions are almost the same and do not give what the user wants, which is less than 24 hours.
The only logical way is for the user to set up a bot that collects data via an API and then try to get visibility in less than 24 hours.
There may be a tool in tradingview that does this.
1523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: XRP Lawyer Jeremy Hogan's Twitter Account Hacked on: July 26, 2023, 01:12:14 PM
I hope that there is no user who lost any of his coins.
This is a strange scenario. If we assume that this lawyer has average knowledge, Hayden Adams has in-depth knowledge, and therefore the problem may still be with Twitter, as it is not the first incident, and I hope it will be the last.

The only solution is to teach and educate beginners about the danger of phishing links. browsers and sites such as Twitter put a warning before visiting unknown links.
1524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pro Trader Free Analises on: July 26, 2023, 12:58:19 PM
BTC fail to rupture ascending triangle meaning it will test $26.5k support, than it will bounce to $35k/$40k once it touches $26,5k Zone and after this bounce it may reach last historic top and may surpass it.

you can try ---> SINBAD.io MIXER July Bitcoin Price Prediction Challeng

It is an easy competition and all you need is to put two price predictions where the most accurate prediction gets a prize. If you are good at predicting then participate and after 6 months you have made a profit in most of the rounds then you can post your predictions here and put your address or make it a paid service although I think it is It is impossible to accurately predict the price of Bitcoin in the short term.

For bitcoin I think the Fed meeting will be a negative factor, but I don't think we'll reach $26,000.
1525  Other / Meta / Re: Charles-Tim merit source application + Nigerian LB merit source application on: July 26, 2023, 12:33:31 PM
Does the Nigerian Local board need more merits? I see many nigerian members above FullMember rank and I do not think that there is a problem with that local board but I think that adding Charles-Tim is necessary for technical boards, as the number of active members there is decreasing day after day, especially with some CM members leaving the forum or reducing the number of posts.

Keep updating this topic and you will be selected.

I support this merit source application

EDIT:
Sorry to be off-topic, I checked some of the posts in that local board, and why do some account there speak using English?
1526  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and top merit earners on: July 25, 2023, 01:47:05 PM
If you do not have evidence towards a specific member, then it is likely that you will get some replies, then people will continue to post, some may put you in them ignore list, and your chances of obtaining merits will decrease.

116)12/30/2021hugeblack[merit source]

The data should be relevant for June 30th, 2023. However, I am not sure if that is the complete list of all merit sources.

In any case, since OP created a new account only for opening this thread as his very first post on the forum (at least under the new account), perhaps he can also come up with some names or substantial evidence. Unless he created the thread only for some more drama.

I have been a merit source Member since 2018.  Cool Cool
1527  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Travel to the Caribbean with BTC on: July 25, 2023, 01:36:07 PM
Ok, now you have this island and El Salvador in mind, right? What about if I tell you the problem is also there in Puerto Rico?
‘Crypto colonizers’ in Puerto Rico try to sell locals on the dream

Do you think it will stop here? Keep dreaming, do you know the adage: Money is power!

I do not think that the islands have a system independent of the country in which they are located. For example, if you are on the island of Bitcoin in El Salvador, then the laws in that country will definitely apply, and therefore strikes and other problems.
Therefore, this idea of colonies makes sense if they are on the periphery, where international laws are followed, which are less stringent than the laws associated with each country, and here comes absolute liberalism.

I remember @theymos talking about a similar idea.
1528  Economy / Reputation / Re: Questionable Merit History From: deadsea33 on: July 25, 2023, 01:14:18 PM
Today, while checking my notifications, I noticed that I have been mentioned in the investigation of @deadsea33. It is true that I earned a lot of merits from his game, which might be considered merit abuse.
I tend to believe your story as you have a different post style than @deadsea33, I also don't think deadsea33 speaks Nigerian and you have several posts there, but you've been given a lot of info that an average user who join to game know so there's a slight chance you've bought these merits or at least know that user.
in general :

 - Avoid participating for post-to-merit topics.
 - Useless wall posts, challenges and anything suspicious.
 - Keep creating high quality posts just as the purpose of this forum is.

I will put you on my watch list and after about two months I will remove you so try to be better, welcome as a good member of the forum and we regret these doubts.

Actually there is no online dictionary for it. but When (deadsea33) started this word game he conducted 1st 12 rounds about cryptocurrency, ( Pmalek ) and ( cygan 1.0 ) games were helpful for me, also I had good understanding about cryptocurrency.

This is the link I meant, it's amazing that you knew about a game long before you joined. BTW @deadsea33 did not include a link.
If you want to deny the link between you and this account. It is better to answer questions like, how do you always answer a minute after posting the question and the answers are correct, do you know the Arabic language, is this your only account? And do you know @nlovric/petulino/Cheema02/Jateng?

1529  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application on: July 22, 2023, 10:17:47 AM
AFAIK, Merit sources are selected according to the best member for a particular board, you almost speak Russian and there are enough sources for that local board so adjusting the 10 quote posts to be in a specific board or 2-3 boards may support your application.

In any case, if there is any modification to the merit sources, I hope you will be selected.

I support Icopress ' Merit Source Application.
1530  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Travel to the Caribbean with BTC on: July 22, 2023, 10:02:23 AM
I live far from the Caribbean so I don't think I will travel thousands of miles because there is a tribute that accepts payment in bitcoins, but it looks interesting, here[1][2][3] are some links that post more information.
They accept all cryptocurrencies and it seems to be their way of promoting the area, I don't expect there will be legal problems on such islands and the population will be limited but to be sure, take some dollars with you in case anything happens.
The exchange rates they offer seem fairly acceptable.

1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 to Bitcoin without KYC ? on: July 22, 2023, 09:40:56 AM
Let's say I'm an Ethereum whale with x million assets in Ethereum.

Is there a way to convert my Ethereum or USDT / USDC to Bitcoin without KYC?
Whales trade outside the market, or what is known as Over-the-Counter (OTC) market[1], which starts from 50k per day and reaches millions, but the problem is that these markets are highly organized and it is impossible to do them without identity verification procedures, and trading such amounts daily means that they are subject to taxes and therefore you may be accused of money laundering and tax evasion.

On the other hand, if you are not in a hurry, you can create your own exchange, and exchange between crypto without KYC, or if you do not intend to buy USDT, there is a good chance that you can do it legally and with low taxes if you sell it at a loss for bitcoin and wait for the price of bitcoin to rise in the future.

In short, it is depend on your country, tax, how KYC/AML works, and how many ETH you have.

1532  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Tools (120% APY) on: July 22, 2023, 09:23:11 AM
Trust me, none of those things will contribute a single thing to newbie learning if that's really your point.
Instead, share your pure history of trading. The signals you used to trigger those trades, and to end them. And a synopsis of why.
No trader who ever claims any kind of crazy profit ever shows this, because none of them are telling the truth.
Prove me wrong.

I tend to agree with you. It is true that these tools are good, but they are general and with different experience, you can give them to a beginner and make losses, and the same you give them to a professional trader and make profits, so the lesson is not with these tools, but with how to use them.
120% APY is possible, but it is impossible for it to be a sustainable or continuous percentage, because there are always periods in which it is easy to achieve profits, and sometimes the market moves slowly and has limited growth.

In general, I prefer a small continuous profit so that the outcome is an exponential growth of the investment portfolio by diversifying investments and focusing on long-term investmenT.
1533  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Decentralization Geeks also Trade using AI? on: July 22, 2023, 08:51:41 AM
Maybe there are some AI who are like that or works in manual way but many AI's right now are automatic.

Yes, but predicting Bitcoin is not something that can be learned. The fame of A.I. has emerged after the success of ChatGPT[1], but in the end this product is for texts and trying to find the best result from billions of data. Predicting the price is a function that is as close to random as possible in the short term and can be predicted in the long term. So say that in 20 years the capacity of the Bitcoin market will be several trillion dollars, and then it will be less volatile and easier to predict. Also, within 30 years, we will have enough events to predict the impact of any future event.

1534  Economy / Reputation / Re: deadsea33 questionable merit history on: July 22, 2023, 08:40:45 AM
The game was rigged and that is clear to see. The thread was designed to give merits to accounts deadsea33 wanted to give merits to. It also facilitated the legitimate manner in which any forum member wanted to send merits to deadsea33 for running the game/thread therefore he was successful in more than one way in his deceit.

Unfortunately, @deadsea33 tried to hide the past of that account, it is difficult to know if it was an alt account, but the distribution of merit between him and _Hiloveua_ is sufficient to accuse him of selling merits, if not an alternative account (I note that there is a difference in the local boards and I do not think that _Hiloveua_ speaks Arabic, but uses Google translator)

I have an internal feeling that this account is an alt account of ITExpert aka nlovric but I'm still investigating about it. Smiley

If this is true, then this user manages dozens of accounts.
Hopefully he does not have dozens of accounts but if he does we all need to work together to try to discover them.
I also hope that, but so far there are more than 3 active accounts in signature campaigns that may be an alternative to this account. If he is in a country where $500 is enough money, then this may be his full-time job, and then he will have dozens of accounts.

I remember his game because he tagged me and cygan in his opening post and that's how I got notified about it. We organized the exact same type of word games in the past.
Can you add a link?
1535  Economy / Reputation / Re: deadsea33 questionable merit history on: July 21, 2023, 02:35:13 PM
There is something strange in this game, if we check the time interval between each response, we will find that it is almost equal for some accounts, even an account that tried to answer some questions, @deadsea33 described him as a scammer and refused to send meris to him.

Quote
@Madu$11 You are a cheater, 1st time you copied (RTR~)'s answer, 2nd time you copied (_Hiloveua_)'s answer, you are disqualified from this word game.
Please don't participate in this game again.

Quote
And I was online 1:30 hours after starting round 15. I am looking at each post, how many numbers of users are what replying. Hope you understand.

Looks like he was very serious about this game, and this is a reply from @pawanjain regarding the time interval.

Somehow, whenever I check this page, the rounds are already completed and I see the schedule for the next round.
Then, when I visit the page the next day, the rounds are completed once again.

Here he announced that the next round would start at 4:00 AM, guess what it started at 4:51 and again _Hiloveua_ was present after 1 min

Quote
Next round will be start, 4:00 AM (Forum time)

and again in Round 20, Round 21, Round 22, Round 23, and Round 24 (1 min between @deadsea33 posting and @_Hiloveua_ answer) Cheesy

Can the coincidence repeated over more than 6 rounds? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Those accounts may not be for the same user but there may be buying/selling of merits between them.

I have an internal feeling that this account is an alt account of ITExpert aka nlovric but I'm still investigating about it. Smiley

If this is true, then this user manages dozens of accounts.
1536  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mixin Safe: A Convenient and Decentralized Multisig + MPC + Timelock solution on: July 21, 2023, 01:16:54 PM
As I said, I don't like miniscript[1], but why was Timelock chosen and why exactly at least 1 year? Also, the phrase at least may mean for more than a year.
If we assume that the use is for the heirs, it is possible after the members return the key with the recovery key and be able to withdraw the money without the consent of the owner key. Therefore, here we cannot apply it as a model for the heirs (it may be a good service if it is linked to biometric indicators that activate a lock for a period of 6 months from the date of death of the owner key holder)

I hate to say it but centralized solutions or trust in heirs are the logical ways to solve the problem of the death of the bitcoin owner.

Quote
That means the recovery key can only be used after your safe address is inactive for at least 1 year.

1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on the impending Litecoin Halving? on: July 21, 2023, 12:56:30 PM

As I've said before, there's a lot of hype surrounding the LTC block reward halving. The craze is not going away soon. We should expect market prices to rise, especially when mainstream media have been promoting the event like crazy. For long-term holders of LTC like me, this is certainly good news. But those who want to get in now, may have to wait until this is all over. Otherwise, they'll be buying LTC at a high price.
As it has been discussed several times, supply is not the only factor to move the price sometimes, even if the supply is limited, the price will remain constant. Therefore, LTC block reward halving is a variable in supply, not demand.
Demand may increase in the short term, but I bet it will not last for more than 6 months, and then halving will not have an effect.

Many people are expect Litecoin's halving will have a same effect like Bitcoin's halving, while the reality Litecoin's halving has no effect for the Litecoin, Bitcoin's halving do give effect to Bitcoin and other altcoins.

I expect there will be more topics over the next month. will try to report it
1538  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Let's talk about FedNow and the relationship with cryptocurrencies on: July 21, 2023, 12:38:09 PM
I am surprised, after the launch of the digital currency, why does the Federal Reserve need commercial or peripheral banks? The Federal Reserve can directly access customers without the need for an intermediary, which is the basis for digital currencies that are based on peer-to-peer.
If countries issue digital currencies, it will be the beginning of the end for privacy.
1539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wasabi or Samourai ? on: July 21, 2023, 11:59:44 AM
In addition to what was mentioned above, but both of them work on different OS.
You can download Samourai Wallet on the Android operating system, while Wasabi is available on several operating systems, not including Android.

It is true that both of them identify themselves as privacy products, but you have alternatives that can work with Whirlpool or JoinMarket, or even use mixers that claim to work on coinjoin, and then you may be able to hide your identity in general.

But if you want to hide your identity professionally, it is better to learn more, as anonymity is more complicated than using a mixer or to use privacy currencies such as Monero.
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 21, 2023, 11:39:45 AM
I do not know, but in my country there is a reward for obtaining 5% of the value of deposits if you hand them over to the police or return them to their owner, and if these products are illegal, for example money used in money laundering, then that percentage will be given to you after confiscation.
Therefore, if I were in his position, the best is 5% guaranteed with expressions of thanks, rather than wasting my life and my family because of 3 bitcoins that could end me in prison.
