1521  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: December 24, 2015, 07:47:13 PM
what people forget is that bitcoin does not need to replace fiat to become globally adopted, it can reach adoption without the collapse of fiat or other catastrophic scenario

i can see bitcoin working side by side withbig circuit like visa and mastercard withut any problem, as new way of payments for many people in the future

It is very difficult, because bitcoin cannot handel the tx/s like the other method od payment (visa, mastercard, etc.. ) it is only an alternative, nothing else.

That's the problem, being limited to 3-4 transactions per second.
What banks do is process their transactions once a day, in bulk.

A valid way to 'solve' the problem could be the LN (n Lightning Network), basic offchain tx.

1524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Daanie/Sumerian stole 4.8 Bitcoin by recovering an account that he sold to me on: December 24, 2015, 03:21:00 PM
Left him a negative trust, he was really dishonest.
1525  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some asshole just left me negative trust (they're not on any kind of DT list) on: December 24, 2015, 02:32:59 PM
I know one of the admin deleted all the trust that satashito left to a lot of users, it's obvious and this time Vod was wrong.

However merry Xmas guys !
1526  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: December 24, 2015, 12:11:30 PM
Yes, got you intrigued, didn't it?

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.
Take paying a cup of coffee for example. To pay your coffee with bitcoins, one must get bitcoins first, either by mining or buying bitcoins with other kinds of money (*cough*fiat*cough). It ends up being a quite complicated process, don't you think?
Until we reach the point where paying for a cup of coffee is as easy with Bitcoin as it is with cash, we will never get mass adoption. And as far as I see it, there is no way of simplifying the acquiring of bitcoins.

Of course bitcoin and fiat cannot be compared, the first one is only a good and valid alternative to send large (or not) quantity of 'money' or data from A to B all over the world.
1527  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain transaction fee just got doubled on: December 24, 2015, 11:25:26 AM
I suggest you this site : http://estimatefee.appspot.com/  to check the 'estimate fee' that you should pay to have your tx included in the first BTC block.

Thanks to RCasatta

1530  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to recognize that someone is using 2nd hand account? on: December 24, 2015, 10:08:46 AM
Yes, in some case it's possible to recognize that someone is using a second account (alt-account) ... see the quickseller story.

Thanks for this useful thread Wink.
1532  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some asshole just left me negative trust (they're not on any kind of DT list) on: December 23, 2015, 08:19:18 PM
Wow perfect, also the one he left to me it's 'disappeared' (thanks administrators).

Administrators don't remove feedback - stop spreading bullshit.  Smiley  You'll get idiots like Spoetnik complaining that no one is removing their trust, when it is done for others.

OP - they left you troll feedback, you left them troll feedback.  Why are you complaining when you did the same thing?

So who removed the negative trust ?    Smiley
1533  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Daanie/Sumerian stole 4.8 Bitcoin by recovering an account that he sold to me on: December 23, 2015, 08:12:20 PM
Was kind of hoping that RedSn0w actually read through it a bit as I DID change the passwords, 2fa, and email information.

Just want to confirm that there is no liability, fault, or blame placed on Redsnow as he merely escrowed for the deal.

As I said you privately, I think he tried with a social eng. attack because if you have changed all the credentials (email, password and put the 2FA) then this is the unique answer.
1534  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Daanie/Sumerian stole 4.8 Bitcoin by recovering an account that he sold to me on: December 23, 2015, 07:28:01 PM
I didn't read all the posts but I can confirm that long ago I 'escrowed' that deal between him and Dogedigital , but I don't know how we recovered the account because it supposed that Dogedigital should or must have changed all the credentials (after he come into possesion) of those accounts.
1535  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some asshole just left me negative trust (they're not on any kind of DT list) on: December 23, 2015, 06:50:57 AM
He left it on me too. Apparently, he just looked at the lending section and gave the lenders a negative trust.

It has been removed by an admin so it's solved now.

Wow perfect, also the one he left to me it's 'disappeared' (thanks administrators).
1536  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Rating of Muhammed Zakir... on: December 23, 2015, 06:38:04 AM
So what was happened to the user 'Muhammed Zakir' (I didn't read all the posts, sorry) ?

Nothing happened to him, friend...
It's just that he defaulted on a loan and everyone's thinking that he turned out to be a scammer, which is why I tried on his behalf to let everyone know that he is out of internet currently, and will be back in few days to answer everyone here... Smiley

So what is the problem? If he is honest (and he's honest) ... he'll repay the loan once he'll be back.

Who cares if someone think he's a scammer ?
1537  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some asshole just left me negative trust (they're not on any kind of DT list) on: December 22, 2015, 10:13:49 PM
I don't trade on here so I don't check my Trust comments very often.

Some asshole going by the name of satashito who I've never interacted with at all has left this feedback on my profile - MAJOR SCAMMER - HAS MULTIPLE ALTS & VERY DISHONEST! AVOID! ALWAYS USE ESCROW!

Has this idiot defectated on anybody else's profile?

I know negative trust means nothing when from a random noob but still annoying.

This is the culprit's profile link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=508033

Who cares ? It's an untrusted feedback... no one will consider it as a 'valid trust', don't worry Wink.

1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone used to think nothing could come along thats Bigger than the Internet on: December 22, 2015, 09:45:08 PM
what worry me is that a new "satoshi" could potentially change the world again by releasing another groundbreaking technology, that can outclass everything

well it's the evolution after all

If someone else or the same 'satoshi' will create something better than bitcon than it is not more necessary use btc, because it will be really obsolete (or am I wrong?).
