I just wanted to point out that master-P's excuse that he couldn't send the coins does actually make sense. He is (most likely) using Armory 0.93.2 (it says it in the signed message that supposedly comes from him) which has a problem with High S values in signatures and any transaction that has a High S value is no longer standard so any of his transactions would not be relayed and would be rejected by many nodes and miners.
So if he is actually not scamming, then he may just be unable to send the coins back. Or if he is scamming, then he may be unable to move them (which would explain why we haven't seen any of the coins move yet).
If the account was sold or hacked and all of the info given away, then this issue wouldn't explain why the coins didn't move, unless the hacker also is using old Armory versions.
Good point, but if I was the hacker ... then I will move the coin as soon as possible.

At this point I don't think it matters who believes me or not.
If I can't restore access to my wallets to return everyone's funds, or the hacker succeeds in transferring the coins out of the escrow wallets then I will compensate everyone out of my own pocket at the best of my abilities.
My reputation has been tarnished. Scammer or not, my poor security practices to allow such an event to take place has forever ruined my reputation in this community. Therefore after I have (hopefully) resolved and repaid everyone, I will be leaving this community permanently. Regardless if I get "dox'd" or not. I am not a scammer, this whole thing is just a huge misfortune for everyone including myself.
Quoting. Anyways, can you prove that you are the true master-P. This seems really fishy hearing this even though it's worth appreciation. Now he can't prove that he is the creator of the account , the real owner... because he sold the private keys (basically his digital identity). He can prove the identity man by signing message from his bitcoin address posted long before he sold the account. His digital identity was compromised 'for ever', I don't know if we will be able to prove that he is the real master-p.

But what happens now?
For example, i've some tread in wich i ask for loan and i offer Jewels or Gold as collateral (simply because i pay this gold over 1700$ and i woud'nt sell it for having loss) . But if we can't trust in ledendary escrow on BTC talk, there is any other way to ensure lender and borrower?
I think, the only way, is to use 2 escrow for a simple transaction. It could be simply, for example by using 2F. First escrow has the password, second escrow has the 2F.
The rank doesn't mean anything when the buy/sell of forum accounts is allowed, like it was happened this time when the original creatore of master-P sold his account to another one (that have continued to act as escrow). So Master-P sold his account to another user? And this user continue to act as escrow? Little ponzi i suppose.... Verify his message : -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- Comment: Signed by Bitcoin Armory v0.93.2 Hey bitcointalk, this is the "original" or previous owner of master-P account on these forums. I had sold the account to an anonymous offer in August 2015. Along with my forum account, the keybase account "masterp" was also sold as the buyer wanted to continue to assume my identity and provide escrow. The private keys to the wallets I used for escrow were also included in the sale so the new owner could continue providing escrow as I already had some transactions/campaigns taking place. I am signing this message from an address I used to stake back in March, before I sold the account and was not included in the sale since the buyer would have no real use for it. I don't necessarily partake on these forums anymore, and don't intend to continue. I apologize for selling my account, in hindsight I see how selfish of an act it was. But I was at an all time low and I didn't exactly have much time to keep participating and help escrow for these forums anymore. The amount of money I was offered for my "bitcointalk identity" was enough to help get me through a couple of really rough months. I think he was uncorrect to forum. On meta board or reputation board he should post that he sold Master-P If he did post that he has sold his account the community will left him a lot of neutral ( & also negative) trust. So it's normal that he didn't post anything.

You can't trust anyone... only yourself . What an useful advice, thanks to you all scams will be gone now. Of course the scammer will never go, that's obvious. but if you think for 5 second, my sentence was correct ... you can't trust anyone. When an escrow sold his account and his 'digital identity) (pgp and bitcoin private key) then it will be hard to trust someone on internet. Then we might aswell stop using bitcoins if we can't trust anyone, what's the point? I'm using bitcoin on other place, the point is that in this forum there are lot of scammer(s). Of course there are some users here that I've met in real life , so I trust them.

Sorry guys : Yeah : but I didn't scam anyone, it was a mistake made by me and after with the help of the staff the account was recovered. After a couple of days moreia revealed (himself) a scammer. Good luck with your temp-ban . same mistake is done by master-p himself and he couldn't get out of the thin air like you boy. Bye. I'm not replying any more PMs of you. Nah, he sold his forum account and his digital identity .... I didn't sold my account. I've resolved everything and nobody lost bitcoin, so stop to spread bullshit. Have a great day. PS: of course I will not ignore you... sincerely I've never ignored someone here in the forum. Can someone quote this , so the spammer 'kingaltcoins' can read it. Thanks.

Are you sure that you will be able to post his dox in this forum (bitcointalk.org)? Maybe it is against the rules, I don't remember.
Its not against the rules to compile information freely available on the internet. He is AFAIK giving master-p a chance to fix all this Oh ok, so the personal info (such name, surname etcc) of master-P is public and well know / easily to find on internet. Then I hope that master-P will fix everything very soon.

It's not a good idea... bitcoin is decentralized so you can't ask pools or some exchanges to not confirm or accept a TX.
It's surreal !
True. But sometimes, you need to bend the rules to get some shit done. I just wanted to know if this can be done. So please contact all big pools now! Time is passing by. Contact F2pool and Antpool first because they find more blocks quickly because their hashrate is high. You can't ask, they will 'lose' the fees of those transaction . This is why bitcoin is so awesome, it's decentralized. ... the big pools didn't block any tx of the bitstamp's hack or the bter's hack. So stop to spread BULLSHIT @kingaltcoins, I've reported you to the staff (you are also enrolled in a signature campaign .. bla spammer). This proves you are against grtthegreat too! I am helping him to get something done before it is too late bro. Please stop spreading FUDs. You are a spammer, enrolled in the yobit signature campaign . I'll report all your posts.

Hello everyone , I'm the second owner of master-p account, my account was hacked by the original owner and now he is trying to find an excuse not to be doxxed.
So are you saying the real owner attacked you and gained the possession of 'his' account.
|
|
|
Not sure how far this is feasible. But I got an idea.
How about us all contacting all the mining pools and ask them not to confirm the transactions that spend coins from the escrow addresses unless the coins are sent to the real owners.
For example, we ask them to confirm the transaction which spends the coins from 18PJHZTTPvcWrpBMnFStgyuphpvuwTgT3k to 1QF1Eo1mXv7M93FuntAHuiSGx2wkpxqJem. This is so because that address was given to me via master-P to me for escrow for a trade. Only such transaction will be confirmed.
This will at least temporarily force him to refund the money. It's not a good idea... bitcoin is decentralized so you can't ask pools or some exchanges to not confirm or accept a TX. It's surreal !

18 pages in less than 48 hours, amazing . I didn't read all the post(s) but did Master-P signed something with his pgp private key or a well know btc address during the deal ?
