Really good ICO , awaiting only the release of the official wallet & some exchanges.
1104  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: March 22, 2016, 08:50:51 PM
Would be cool if activity updated every 7 days instead of every 14 Smiley

I think it's more cool 14 days.. than 7 days (also for a question of the bitcoin retargeting difficult, maybe it has been chosen for this reason).

Passphrases/keys:
<snip>
- Everyone who didn't generate a key will be contacted 1-2 weeks after launch. He can then get his LISK via email. This method is not the most secure option, therefore please generate your passphrases ASAP! Also there will be a deadline after which the non-collected LISK will go into the bounty fund.
Everything I've witnessed so far in the LISK ICO has been handled very professionally. Now, the ethical character that is baked into this ecosystem's earliest days will resonate for a long time, so please reflect on the 'Why?' of pushing non-collected LISK into a bounty fund.

I submit that you should not impose a deadline on the non-collected funds. Devs have a fiduciary responsibility not to re-appropriate unclaimed funds, which is somehow incomprehensibly becoming an accepted practice in ICOs (not mentioning any names but you know who you are). It is absolutely unethical to expropriate your earliest supporters' money, no matter what the situation. Yes, ostensibly they are donors, but effectively they are behaving like investors. If they can't or won't claim the LISK, please just leave the claim period open ended, and fulfill the incoming claims once a month. In this way, we will turn more and more people who are late on claims into supporters and proponents of the LISK platform, rather than feeding them sour grapes because their unclaimed LISK was expropriated. Fund seizure is equivalent to the fiat banking practices from which we are trying to escape.

(You could also destroy the unclaimed LISK and refund the BTC back to the return address, but ethically that's probably too much to ask).

Just think it through. People sometimes forget, or they find themselves in situations that make claims very delayed or seemingly impossible. That's just human nature. Blockchains don't forget, and that strength should be used as a benefit for everyone. Humans should not intervene and confiscate future wealth that is growing on the blockchain. Thanks for listening.

This is a very thoughtful post - something of a rarity on this thread.   Thanks for your input.

Lin may very well never return this Crypti, and BTER customers may be out of luck.  Other Crypti donors may hear about the Lisk ICO for the first time from upcoming publicity.  Maybe a possibility is to keep the 2.5M BTER Crypti open as a first-come-first-served exchange pool for tardy Crypti owners whether their excuse is BTER or ignorance of the Lisk ICO.  Service these people until the 2.5M is gone.

There's no good answer, and I suspect that the 1000 people who haven't generated their keys will turn out to be an even bigger headache.

The party's over, time to clean up the mess left behind....

I still cant believe people trust BTER.

They are a bloody mobster exchange, Chinese maffia tactics.

They are pure scum who stole BTC before and had a major role in the BitBay story.

BTER is absolute crap and only people who dont give a dime about their money keep it there.

BAH! Undecided

Really awesome, people still using bter after the hack or theft of 7170 btc ?

PS: if someone of you don't know the story... search on google 'bter hacked'.

1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 21, 2016, 08:57:43 PM
Tell you what, I'll offer 1 LISK for .01 BTC. let the offers come in!  Kiss

I will sell you 100 Smiley

You misunderstood, I am selling 1 Lisk for .01 BTC, who wants some?  Kiss

I'll take those off your hands for 2000 satoshis/lisk.  This is quite generous considering how nightmarishly awful the dump is going to be.

you understand that those that own lisk are only those that bought at 20k satoshi how the hell there will be a dump under this amount?

Maybe because someone doesn't want to wait an exchange, or maybe because someone wants money for an urgency.

Any price predictions for launch?

isn't it obvious, entry price is the launch price, why icoers should dump at any less?

Few people will dump under the ico price, trust me Wink.

always the same story ....

Why would we need passphrases ... arent the generated keys enough?

Whit the passhprase you can access to your wallet Wink.

do you smell that smell? sniff sniff...yes it's it...the smell of people that won't access their lisk wallet because they've lost the passphrase

Yes I think a lot of people will complain because they will not be able to access to the wallet and most important spend their 'coins'.

you mean dump as soon as they are in a plus of 5%...

Someone will dump instantly , others will not be able to access their Lisk(s) and they will start to complain... and finally others will hold and wait a x5 - x10.

wich will take a looong time probably. every early momentum is already taken out in this hype ico...

I think the wallet will be released in 1-2 weeks after the end of the ICO.

Okay, I have replied with a new message .. and hope that this time it will not be deleted.

Lock the thread, so only a mod can reply (if he wants).

Thanks guys.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Full Fork to alternate branch supporting larger blocks on: March 20, 2016, 04:37:30 PM
Okay let's try this , I will compile it on my other machine and test it !
1120  Other / Meta / Re: Why my post was deleted -.- ? on: March 20, 2016, 04:36:32 PM
Check the other replies
Maybe those should be deleted aswell, then.

Maybe ? If my reply was deleted also the other replies should be deleted, but I will not report them.

Thanks for your interest guys.
If you don't report such other posts then for the most part, there is no way for a moderator to know those posts need to be deleted.  I don't think it is fair to complain that other similar posts were not deleted without previously bringing such posts to the attention of a moderator who can delete them.

I think if they have deleted my message... than they have also seen the other posts.
You don't know that. If a moderator is reviewing a report regarding a single post that says "watching" then there is no real reason why the moderator would review the other posts in such thread.

So are you supposing that the mod is not 'transferred' directly in that thread (when he is reviewing the report) but he deletes the post from another page where there is in the single reported post?

Waiting more information about this (but most probably he doesn't see directly the thread, but he reviews them from another page).
