Don't forget the games tomorrow and Wednesday. 5 players haven't done their picks yet. Not sure whether to go for a draw on the Chelsea/Bayern game or an away win. Definitely don't think Chelsea are strong enough to pull off a win but they could hold onto a draw. I'll be watching that game then the Madrid/City match on Wednesday. I'll probably go for a draw on that one for sure. Hard to split those teams but if I had to pick a winner I'd take the home win.

Anybody watching Man City vs West Ham?

The stadium is less than half full & this is a Premier League game, not an early round of a domestic cup. They are such a fake, plastic, shitty little club.

In their defense, it's prolly cos of the resched...  And the cold.  And yeah, lots of 'supporters' riding the Pep wave.  I actually stopped being vocal around here about being a City supporter when Pep came in.  It's like the club started being uncool.  But it's fun having him around in the EPL...  And Mou.  Lol.

Well City are becoming the new Manchester United. Everybody used to hate United fans and it was never cool to support them, especially when they were not from Manchester. You always get glory supporters and they become like rats and that's what people used to call United fans because you're never more than ten feet away from one  Grin. Whenever I see a City shirt outside of Manchester I always bet that they haven't been a fan for more than 5 years or so. I'm sure the same thing will happen to Liverpool if they start to dominate the game now. Liverpool have always had a pretty big support outside of their city though.
1522  Other / Meta / Re: threads without replies on: February 24, 2020, 11:06:36 AM
Is there any way we can create a thread where nobody can reply. like there are videos of YouTube where nobody can comment.

Are you talking about unlisted youtube videos that are only available to you or those you send the direct url to or videos where nobody can comment as the comments are turned off? We'll need to know the specifics of why you want to do this before you can get a relevant answer. As people have said, you can create a thread and then just lock it so nobody can comment, but if you want a thread somewhere that's not published and only you can see it you can keep one in your drafts by hitting the preview button instead of post. That way if you keep it open in your browser you can keep adding to it and it will still be saved in your drafts if you need it. Just keep hitting preview to save additional versions.
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 24, 2020, 10:58:04 AM

The coming weeks in the EPL, will he fun-filled.

Meanwhile, will Liverpool wrap up the trophy tonight with a win against West ham or it will be delayed by one more match?

I see a Liverpool 1-1 draw, what do you see??

What makes you think they'll draw? It's at Anfield and I expect Liverpool to comfortably win. And Liverpool have to win 5 more games before they secure the title. The earliest they can win is against Bournemouth on 7th March, but I think that's also only if City drop a point by then, otherwise it will be on the 21st of March when they play Crystal Palace.

It looks like Liverpool could be in with another record breaker this season: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51163821

Quote
Manchester United hold the record for the earliest Premier League title win, with Sir Alex Ferguson's men claiming victory in 2000-01 on 14 April.

The earliest Premier League title win by games remaining, rather than by date, is five - a record also set by United in 2000-01, as well as Manchester City in 2017-18.

Think they need to win 8 games and draw one to beat Man City's record 100 points by one.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 24, 2020, 10:38:20 AM
Don't forget the Liverpool/West Ham game today. Liverpool should win this pretty comfortably I reckon.

I'm "only" 28 points away from a prize spot though so I do have about 12 weeks left to nail this. And I will =p

How many players win prizes?

I got 7/9 correct in this round, 6 of them for 1,5 points. Only 1 game with full 3 points, I just can't get the correct result no matter what. I got 68 close ones and only 26 correct ones so far.

The top 5 win plus the top 5 highest scorers from the weekly rounds win small consolation prizes.

The top 5 overall:

0.04 1st
0.03 2nd
0.02 3rd
0.01 4th
0.005 5th

Consolation prizes for for the highest points from a weekly round:

0.005 1st
0.0025 2nd
0.0025 3rd
0.0025 4th
0.0025 5th

@Indy what's your nick on Superbru?

I killed myself by switching the 2-1 from Chelsea to Spurs, damn me, and I lost all the progress I had climbing up to 18th, now back in 22. With the wooden spoon too, haha. toke finally breaking away with most exact points, tying with hilarious. Precious slam points I think got me where I am.

I'm "only" 28 points away from a prize spot though so I do have about 12 weeks left to nail this. And I will =p

It's still pretty close at the top and two or three good rounds can move you up to the top of the table. Just do your best and hope for the best.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 24, 2020, 10:30:08 AM
Wilder got pounded I don't know if his poor performance was after the ear shot it was rather concerning to see his corner fail to work on him round after round or even give him direction to cover up more and protect his head after the savage ear bleed shot from fury.

When you see blood coming out the ear of a fighter and they seem to be very unstable on there feet I am surprised the corner didn't pull there fighter over health concerns it was a good stoppage by the ref he obviously saw the Wilder was struggling to clear his head and needed some medical attention.

The ref didn't stop it. Wilder's trainer threw the towel in. It did look like the ref stopped it during the fight but on the subsequent after fight replays it shows the towel coming in. I was confused at first as I didn't think the ref should have called it off.

When you see blood coming out the ear of a fighter and they seem to be very unstable on there feet I am surprised the corner didn't pull there fighter over health concerns it was a good stoppage by the ref he obviously saw the Wilder was struggling to clear his head and needed some medical attention.

Even if you knew nothing about nothing that's a pretty alarming signal. I've never seen that before. You'd think someone would have a root around in there before sending him back out.

It might turn out to be harmless enough but it makes you wonder about how diligent they are.

It could have just been a harmless cut on the ear or something much more serious - perforated ear drum or even bleeding on the brain. If they had concerns it was something serious they shouldn't have let him go back out, but most fighters are stubborn and have too much pride to call it off themselves and will continue on at all costs.

A third fight usually means they just do it for bringing in the money and not for the love of the competition. Roll Eyes
Just look at money mayweather and his rematches.
And yes, I heard Mike Tyson was going to be at the announcers table during the fight.
I just think he picked the fighter to win because they have the same name. Cheesy

Again, boxing is all about the money. They don't do these fights for fun and for the love of the sport. Besides, a trilogy makes sense. The first was a draw and this was one by Wilder's camp throwing in the towel. A third fight can determine the rightful winner if there's a clear KO. The AJ fight makes sense but I think he's said potentially 2021 so Fury will probably fight before then and Wilder will be his next best opponent, and he'll have to fight him if Wilder requests the trilogy anyway.

Yes, the second fight was convincing enough that there is no need for a trilogy here.

Not if it was all due to the ear injury. That would have explained his lack of balance and unsteadiness of his feet. I thought Wilder was the better fighter in the first fight. This one was obviously Fury's but that ear injury could explain why he was so off and that's why I'd like to see the third fight.

Officially, there is a rematch clause:

Quote
Deontay Wilder Has 30 Days To Exercise Clause For Fury Trilogy

There is a contractual clause for a trilogy fight - and Wilder has 30 days to exercise that clause - with the contest taking place in June or July.

https://www.boxingscene.com/deontay-wilder-30-days-exercise-clause-fury-trilogy--147028

So Wilder has a month to decide whether he wanted another part of Fury or not.

By the time they entered the ring Saturday night, MGM Grand Garden Arena was packed to capacity. Officials announced a sellout crowd of 15,816 and an MGM Resorts International official confirmed that the live gate for Wilder-Fury II broke the Nevada record for a heavyweight fight.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wilder-fury-rematch-broke-heavyweight-gate-record-vegas--147020

So there could be more money in a trilogy, Fury is a good seller and so is Wilder, and they could potentially earn more than the second fight.

I'm almost certain he'll take the rematch. Not only will he want the belt back but each fight in a trilogy always make more money with each fight. There's just more buzz and interest.

~
He wasn't out of shape. That's what getting punched in the head/ear can do to you. Same thing happened in the Joshua fight.
This is not my thing. What I know is that you get wobbled temporarily when you're hit in the ear/behind the ear but he wasn't punch hard there in rounds one and two.

It depends how hard you get punched and where. One good punch can turn your legs to jelly and some people can't even stand after that and getting hit in the ear can throw your balance off completely.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 03:34:29 PM
WILL WAIT FOR ANOTHER REMATCH BECAUSE OF THIS DISAPPOINTING ENDING Cheesy.

Rematch after rematch, are we going to keep on the rematch until the wider will win.
I think there should be no rematch and we should accept the Tyson fury victory. If they again decide to rematch, this will only to create a marketing technique to gain the hype and money from the event.

Boxing is all about the money. They don't do these fights for fun, but it wasn't a KO win. Trilogys are what happens with most fights when it's one a piece, and not even that in this case with the first being a draw. If Fury is really the better fighter than I can't see why he wouldn't do it again. He seemed to offer it in the post-fight conference and I'm sure a rematch clause is in Wilder's contract anyway. Either way another fight is going to be a huge.

There should not be a third match. Fury was robbed by crooked scorecard judges in the first match. Maybe Wilder and his pride might want a third match but the team know their man will lose and maybe get more heavily punished next time.

Fury and Joshua should be the next fight. I have no doubt whatsoever Fury will win within 5 or 6 rounds against Joshua and will go on to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

It is all over for Wilder. He is 34 years old, if he wants to rebuild his career he should take a long break then return fighting 3 or 4 handpicked lower ranked opponents then try to get one last shot at the title again.

I don't think Fury was robbed. It was a fairly equal fight in my opinion but you're forgetting Fury was knocked down twice and he was lucky to get back up. Another round in the first fight and I doubt he would have got back up. People forget that anything can happen in boxing. Doesn't matter how tough you are or if you're unbeaten; one punch and it can all be over. Wilder was the favourite going into this  but it was obvious that punch to the ear that made it bleed threw him off for the rest of the right. I think a rematch would be right in this situation. First was a draw and this one was won by the coach throwing in the towel, although I'm sure Fury would have got a KO had it been allowed to continue. Fury should fight AJ and I'm sure he will at some point but not sure it would be before another Fury fight and likely the Wilder trilogy.

~
Wilder looks very tired, we don't know if he overtrained in this fight, those swags are not there. Or maybe the first knock down took everything from him. His balance is was really affected.

I just watched the replay and Wilder looks to be out of shape since the first round. Fury was just rolling through Wilder's right hand punches like they were nothing. His legs were simply not there and it could be due to a bad weight cut. I believe his corner knows that and threw the towel.

He wasn't out of shape. That's what getting punched in the head/ear can do to you. Same thing happened in the Joshua fight.

I saw the challenge, ridiculous that VAR didn’t think it was bad enough for a red card. It’s a textbook red card imo, I don’t see what the issue was.
After 20 minutes and so they realized the mistake and officially said that it was an error. How come watching something in slow motion and again and again make people confuse. Who are these people seating there to make VAR decision. Surly their judgment sucks.

Another bad day for VAR.

After watching the analysis it definitely should have been a red. In the highlights it didn't seem that bad especially slowed down, but in full speed and from the camera angle behind the incident it definitely looked very vicious.

That'll teach me. I was 2-1 for Chelsea after making the picks early last week, and then after seeing Spurs lose badly and luckily to Leipzig I thought, surely Mou's gonna go for broke right? So I change the score to 1-2 AND bet on the same team. But Dele Alli didn't start and Moura was slightly off. Damn.

What a day for Giroud to score though.
I think the VAR refs having to make a decision as quick as possible is going to lead to these sorts of things and errors made both ways. It's not like this was deciding a goal or a goal-scoring opportunity though so it's not that big of a deal in my opinion.

Seems like VAR has something against Chelsea this season, my heart almost stopped working when I saw the Giroud goal getting reviewed and from the reaction of Mourinho, I thought it was going to be an offside call since he wasn't worried. Giroud truely deserve the goal he got. Two forgotting players (Giroud and Alonso) saved our ass in the game with two brilliant goals. The constant pressing, attacking and determination to win back lost balls plus complete dominance of the game was applaudable.

Giroud is such an underrated and underappreciated player and it's criminal he never used to start much for either Chelsea or Arsenal. I've always called him a super sub as he often scored when he came on but he should be starting every week. Didn't Giroud have a goal disallowed last week as well? I hope he starts in the Bayern game on tuesday. I'll be watching that one either way.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 23, 2020, 06:09:42 AM
At first I had no idea why the ref stopped it and thought it was very harsh, then the replay showed the towel being thrown in by Wilder's corner which nobody not even the commentators seemed to see. Really surprised they did that and not sure why really. Wilder was blocking most of the shots. Should have left it to the ref to stop it which I'm sure he would have if he felt it needed to happen. Fury was winning the fight but it could have gone the distance. Wilder was obviously shaky on his feet but he was still throwing some bombs, they just weren't connecting. If they did connect though it could have been a very different fight. Wilder's knock downs were controversial as well. Definitely not clean ones and one looked like a punch to the back of the head. Rematch has to happen now. Hopefully Fury will agree to it if it isn't already in the contract. It seems only fair given controversies is both fights and I'd like to see a clear winner by KO.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 22, 2020, 07:45:25 PM
^  And you know what...  Football referee decision making has become even more questionable with VAR than without it.  Just get rid of the damn thing.

Did you see the VAR penalty decisions for the handballs in the City/Leicester game? Ridiculous. Leicester's wasn't given in the first half and then City got one in the second.

Given:

Not given:

I can't see what the difference is between them. They're either both handballs or neither are. They need to get some consistency with the handball rule. It's either all or nothing. Either give them anytime the ball hits the hand in the area or only give them if they're purposeful which is hardly ever.

Bastard tokeweed with the correct score on this match again. Only person to get it as well.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 22, 2020, 04:58:52 PM
I'm super excited for this rematch, although I honestly don't think I want a trilogy if one of these wins in a definite way. If its a controversial end like last time, or a split decision then maybe the trilogy would be best. However, if Fury or Wilder runs away with this, then it kind of puts a dampener on the whole win as really the last person to win is usually considered the better fighter. I'm routing for my man Tyson Fury all the way though. I think he will outperform Wilder again, and as long as he avoids that right hand of Wilder, and does slightly less showboating I think we'll see a decisive point victory.

It will all depend on the contract. Wilder probably has a rematch clause if he loses seeing as he's the belt-holder. If he wins he'll probably just move on, but maybe Fury also has one. Depending on how this fight goes a third fight could be even bigger.

Do not miss this match live today on ESPN+ or Fox Sports, whichever channel is available in your area.

I love this one, good that it's not on PPV as we still have to pay for it, now we can watch it live in these channels.. I guess I only have Fox sports but I don't have ESPN +, not sure if ESPN and ESPN + is the same, someone enlighten me what's the difference and what ESPN+ caters?

Will it be telecast live on Youtube ? Most people will not have access to these channels or they are not willing to subscribe to them only for this match.
If i am unable to watch it live, i will surely watch the highlights at youtube , but it will be better if someone can share the live streaming you tube link for the match ?

Lol. It's not going to be on Youtube. The only way you'll be able to watch this for free is if you find an illegal stream. Dazn are showing it on some of their platforms but it depends where you live. It's on the German one but not The Canadian one for example. They do offer a free month trial and you can cancel at anytime and it's a great service in my opinion if you're into sports as they show a lot of stuff not just boxing.

I had 1-0 down but then changed it to 1-1. Just watched the highlights and not sure it was a red card. Another one of those hard-to-call ones or ones where there's not much in it. I guess they probably just kept watching it and then decided they probably should have given it. Seen them given before but at the same time others get let off. They probably shouldn't have said anything. I think the VAR refs having to make a decision as quick as possible is going to lead to these sorts of things and errors made both ways. 1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 21, 2020, 02:37:45 PM
This is one of those fights that is so evenly matched it's hard to call, especially after the draw in the first one. Wouldn't surprise me at all if that happened again but draws are fairly rare in boxing so it's probably unlikely to happen especially when that decision was so controversial (even though I think it was the right one). Wilder is probably the slight favourite to win and if I had to pick a winner it would be him but I think it might go the distance again if he doesn't knock Fury out. Gonna set my alarm for 4:30 in the morning so I can watch it either way.

Tyson Fury has become a personal hero of mine. He said that he will binge on cocaine and cheap $30 dollar hookers if he wins the fight hehehehe.
I didnt not believe such a thing but he really did say this!  A happily married man!
'After this fight, I'm going to binge out on cocaine and hookers,' Fury told Daily Caller. 'Is there anything better than cocaine and hookers?'

He says some other gross things in the article here:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-8015969/Tyson-Fury-vows-cocaine-cheap-30-hooker-binge-Deontay-Wilder-rematch.html

He's said a lot of stupid stuff in the past but I thought he was over this nonsense and had grown up a bit. It's a shame because he seems like a decent guy otherwise and could be a good role model and spokesman for a lot of causes but always puts his foot in his mouth. I'm sure he would have been a shoe-in to win the BBC Sportsman of Year Award but he always says something controversial around the time they do the nominations and he screws himself over.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: February 21, 2020, 01:11:32 PM
My gut feeling is UEFA will prevail. They own the competition, it's their rules, and no one is ever forced to play. And City plus their fans have, as leea points out, been very vocal AGAINST them. Tinged with personal vendetta? Maybe. For me what's most interesting is, if they gave false books to UEFA, presumably they did the same for EPL. Will English FA investigate?

Will it be good NOT to see Citeh in Europe next season (remember this is a UEFA ban so not even Europa League!)? Maybe it's a good lesson not to overextend with money. They'll be missed for sure, but yeah as hilarious says, going to make the EPL harder than ever to win for any other team!

This is the issue for me though. How can UEFA be objective or be fair in handing out punishments. They seem the judge jury and executioner. Couldn't they just pull a random figure out the air to fine them? It's obviously in their interests to fine them as much as possible and that why these things need to be independent of the governing body. I dunno how I feel about it. I don't know the full extent of what City did yet as I haven't read up in depth, but there definitely needs to be some harsh punishments for teams that essentially just cheat by throwing money at players, but at the same time I don't think they should ruin clubs or be biased in their decisions.
1534  Other / Meta / Re: The Objective Standards Guild - Testimonium Libertatem Iustitia on: February 20, 2020, 01:12:53 PM
Cliques are obviously going to develop anywhere and people make friends just as they do enemies. There's nothing wrong with that but people are becoming biased to certain things especially if they're pally with people and the reporting of users posts as off topic when it was one of their buddies that took it off topic in the first place is a perfect example of that and people need to knock it off. If people don't like each other they should either just ignore them or keep their beefs out of every other thread and keep it confined to Reputation or something because threads going off topic is out of hand.

The question is, is it worth constantly creating drama, conflict, covering up abuse, and driving away good users in exchange for getting those that fall out side of these standards?
See, I don't think any good users are being driven away from the forum because of red-tagging.

Some will leave, but what about all those users that are given negative that don't deserve it? If you haven't got a thick enough skin or feel like the forum has betrayed you in some way you would have every right to think fuck it and leave and this probably happens more to newer members than older ones. Neither shouldn't have to accept it or just grin and bear it. You might not get along with certain people and not like their behaviour but obviously users like tecshare and timelord don't deserve negative feedback as much as you might dislike them. If you're not a scammer or there's no very strong suspicion that you are one then people shouldn't be leaving negative feedback. The only exception I would possibly make is for the full time trolls who are only here to be disruptive, but again and as I've said before, I think people are stretching the definition of a troll and tagging people who they just don't agree with.

I don't think putting a big red warning on a potential or actual scammer is accomplishing nothing, by the way.  Sure, there are some members who are trying to build their reputation by doing so, but as long as they get it right I don't have a problem with the motivation.  I started tagging account sellers after I got scammed back in 2016, when it became obvious to me how harmful sales of high-ranked, green-trusted accounts could be--not because I wanted to get on DT.  I never thought that would happen and was absolutely shocked when I got put on it.

It's helpful, especially to newbies, or at least it was more so before the flags, but people should be responsible for their own money I guess. I honestly don't know whether it would be worth just getting rid of negative feedback for all the drama that's involved with it, but it would lead to a lot more people getting scammed but that's the compromise.

Anyway, I partially agree about the objective standards, but there's no getting around the fact that some subjectivity is going to have to creep in somewhere.  It always does and there's no getting around it.

Unless you can somehow make all mods part of a hive mind then there's always going to be difference of opinion in enforcing the rules, all you can do is enforce them to the best of your ability, but one person may think someone is trolling whereas the other doesn't. Some people think their posts are on topic when they're clearly not and when there's humans involved in either scenario you're going to get differences of opinion.

Maybe City supporters have decided to scout possible opposition in Champions League rather then watch the game in PL. After all they will be runners up at the end of season, and CL is what makes they heart tick. Especially after news that they will be kicked out of it for 2 years. Have you guys heard that City can basically pause that decision with some legal stuff so they can still play CL next season and then do the suspension?

I think the appeal will mean the decision cannot happen for next season,,, plus I think the ban will be reduced to one year, it is like even Chelsea ban from transfer market it only one season instead of 2 like it originally was.

City fans do not like EUFA too they always booed the anthem remember?

Are you sure? I think they should be given a grace period as to appeal so it doesn't effect them if they're successful in their appeal, but from what I've read the ban comes into effect for the next Champion's League and is until 2022.

There's a lot of questions answered in this article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51511252

Luckily for City it seems most of their big players are contracted beyond 2022 so they should be safe from refusing to sign a new deal because of no Champions League play. Sergio Aguero's expires in 2021 so he could leave then but only waiting one more year for Champion's League football shouldn't be a biggie. I wonder if Pep will be true to his word as well. Something tells me he could just throw a fit behind the scenes or something just to get sacked, which I'm sure he would be anyway if they don't start winning the league again, which should be much easier with no CL games to worry about.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 20, 2020, 12:38:24 PM
Yeah, it's getting annoying. Even more so when I'm one goal out and he gets the correct score  Angry. I think Chelsea should win this one, though maybe 1-1 is also a good call. Spurs have won their last three games but aren't playing great really and especially without Kane. Two of the teams they've beat aren't anything to boast about but they did beat Man City three weeks ago. I'll probably go for mostly narrow home wins this round. A couple of draws here and there. The Leicester/City match being one of them, though I hope Leicester win. It's probably the only game I'll watch from this weekend. Anything could happen in that game really.
I think yours had 3 - 0 in the City match yesterday. I had 3 - 1 so I was not really even close. The most frustrating is when you pick up 2 - 1 and match ends 2-2 or 1-1 or 1-2. You feel you are close to get a correct score but you end up getting nothing LOL
I need to be brave to go with draw matches.

Yeah, I went with 3-0. And yes, the most frustrating ones are when you lose out on any points at all by one goal. Even more so when you go for a risky draw and you're one of the only ones who did. You go from getting a very valuable three points to nothing and other's grow further away in the table. I guess that's the gamble though and you've got to take them with the wins you do get, especially when nobody else goes for them.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham are two teams (there are few more: Utd, Arsenal etc) who really are not lucky for me. I lose money when I gamble for them, I end up getting no points or in some cases 1 point when I go with them.
I too expect Chelsea to win this match. In the last match they did not deserve the lose but that's football. Without Kane Tottenham is not playing that bad, I did not expect last few wins for them without him but they proved me wrong.

They can't be relied upon now. Certain teams like Man United and Chelsea used to be called 'bankers' as betters and bookies say, but not so much these days. I don't mind playing them on the pool but they're not usually teams I'll be so sure about putting on an accumulator.

1. After a post is moved by a moderator, the OP shouldn't be allowed to move that topic again. He can only ask moderators to move that if there is a legitimate reason.

It's possibly a good idea. Whilst it's rare that it happens, there have been a couple of instances where a user has disagreed with where their thread should go and then kept moving it back every time. Those users just ended up with a ban though. Maybe mods can choose to 'lock' a thread into a particular section if this happens but I'm not sure it happens enough to warrant changes and as I said users would just get a temp ban if they became a nuisance. As for the thread I think you're referencing that's a tricky case. I think due to the wording/promises he made it does look like a scammy HYIP, but I'm not sure it actually is.

2. Meta board can be abused to make a topic more visible. Sometimes it is needed to trash the topic made in Meta or lock it at least.

This would be even less likely I think. Threads can be locked once they're resolved but they shouldn't be trashed. As long as they're not constantly bumped for no good reason they will quickly be forgotten about.

Come on Toke! How do you manage all those correct score. If I step one forward you move two 🤪
Only 11 more rounds to go and I really need few good rounds but seems like I am doing lower than average from long time now. Shit!

Some really tricky matches are on the way in the next round.  We can start with Chelsea vs Tottenham. Will we see another Chelsea disaster like we have seen against Utd?

So Pep addressed the city situation after the West Ham game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqKVY-2-8kw

He said he will stay with City until they sack him so that's respectable. He even apparently said that he would stay with City even if they were relegated to the second division. Now that's something I would like to see  Grin. It's going to be interesting seeing what does happen with this situation. There's obviously going to be a long legal battle as City appeal. I don't know the full extent of the shenanigans that they were involved with but I think there should be some serious repercussions for teams that purposely break the rules and try hide it, and it shouldn't be limited to fines either. I think they should start docking points or even relegating teams. That would send a clear message that it's not going to be tolerated and I doubt any club will even try it after that.

@hilarious

The CL games tonight are really dull, I watched the first 5 mins of the Spurs games & turned over. Next weeks games are much better, on paper at least.

Man City 1-0 W Ham at HT right now too.

Yeah, I had no interest in them. Roll on next week.

Great win by the Madrid people, and against the current holders, that was an excellent win but was the match good to watch? Could not find anything other than a highlight reel at the moment and it looked pretty boring since there was not even one save from the keeper! Hope they can keep the scoreline to the same in Anfield, then they have away goal and Liverpool must score 3!

It was a decent enough. Liverpool actually had far more possession - 73 percent in fact - but I'd say the game was 50-50-ish overall. Liverpool had a goal disallowed and I think they deserved a point at least. They should win the return leg I think, but they could have done without the pressure, but if they can come back from a 3-0 defeat at Barca then they can certainly do this one as well. Not gonna bother with watching the two games tonight. Gone for narrow home wins in both fixtures. Next weeks matches are far more interesting. Madrid vs City will be one to watch.
